Welcome to chapter 5 of Ultra Super Fight. Let's see how the DEO and the Ultras deal with Reign this time.
Train Station:
After tracking her down, the team had found the next Worldkiller who called herself Purity. Supergirl was on route but at the moment, Purity was fighting Geed in his Primitive form and he was getting hit by her sonic scream.
"My turn! Wrecking Roar!" Geed then fired his red sonic roar at the same time Purity fired her's, the sonic attacks crashed together and was causing the ground to shake. Supergirl, Alex, J'onn and Mon-El arrived to see the pair still using their attacks but no one was winning.
"Geed, fall back!" Alex shouted but he couldn't; it was like the attacks were connected and couldn't be broken. The team were trying to figure out what to do until Supergirl flew towards but she was blasted backwards into Mon-El whilst Geed's and Purity's attacks were still linked.
"What do we do? If Supergirl can't go near…" Mon-El was about to continue when a red and blue blur flew past and landed in front of them: it was Ultraman Zero.
"Sorry I'm late. My Father was giving me some special training so I can do this!" Zero shouted then folded his arms over his chest. "I don't have any limits!" Zero bellowed then four holographic projections of Ultraman Ginga, Ultraman Orb Origin form, Ultraman Victory and Ultraman X appeared behind him. The four projections merged with Zero which made him glow purple; his body became all silver with purple markings and blue crystals on his legs, forearms, chest and forehead along four horns on his head.
"Ultraman Ginga! Ultraman Orb: Orb Origin! Ultraman Victory! Ultraman X! Neo Fusion Rise! New Generation Alpha! Beta! Ultraman Zero Beyond!" The purple energy shattered and there stood Zero in his new form: Zero Beyond.
"Time to break them apart!" Zero shouted as he flew towards the pair but he kept on being pushed back until he eventually broke through and landed in the middle. "This is gonna hurt like hell!" Zero groaned as he created a shield around him and it was slowly breaking up Geed's and Purity's attack until it sent them flying into opposite corners.
"Thanks Zero!" Geed shouted as he bounced back onto his feet just Purity dusted herself down. "Shall we take her together?" Geed asked and Zero chuckled then gave his buddy a thumbs up then Geed's body started glowing purple.
"Fusion Rise! Ultraman Zero! Father Of Ultra! Ultraman Geed: Magnificent!" Geed had transformed into his Magnificent form: it had the body design of Zero but with silver armor on his legs, chest and shoulders with huge red horns on the shoulders and silver horns on his head.
"Let's do this, Geed!" Zero shouted then the pair charged into battle alongside the four DEO members: they were fighting Purity but she was somehow too tough for them. Geed and Zero were about to fire their beams when a black blur flew in and knocked the two Ultras down: it was Reign.
"Just what we need: Two Worldkillers!" Alex complained but that didn't stop Supergirl, Zero or Geed as they got back up and started fighting the Worldkillers. "Cross the streams!" Alex shouted and the trio knew what she meant: they jumped back and got ready to shoot their beams.
"Big Bustaway!" Geed shouted as he fired a green, red and blue beam at Reign. Supergirl then fired her heat vision which merged with Geed's beams. Zero's right arm then started to glow purple and he aimed the beam at them.
"Wide Beyond Shot!" Zero shouted and his beam merged with Kara's and Riku's, they hit both Worldkillers which sent them flying backwards. "How did you like that?" Zero shouted but when the dust cleared, they could see both Worldkillers that disappeared.
"They're gone!" Geed shouted then something happened: he reverted back to Primitive and his eyes here red, he started attacking Supergirl which surprised the team.
"Geed, snap out of it!" Zero shouted as he jumped and grabbed the out of control Ultra then he felt it: what was making Geed go berserk. "Geed, try and change back!" Zero shouted then Geed's Primitive form faded away and Riku collapsed unconscious.
"What happened just then?" Mon-El asked as he and the others ran over to Zero; he was holding in his hand the Ultraman Belial capsule which was glowing purple.
"I think when the Worldkillers are giving off something which is affecting Riku," Zero told them then he picked up his friend. "As soon as we return to the DEO, I'll explain everything." Zero told them then he took off and the others followed while Alex was being carried by Kara.
DEO:
While Laiha was in the medical bay with Riku and Lena was running scans, the team had assembled in the meeting room. Zero, who was back in his base form, walked towards them as he looked at the floor then looked across the building to see Riku who was still unconscious.
"Riku's not human. He was created by an old foe using DNA from our enemy: Ultraman Belial." Zero told them which shocked everyone. "Belial hated all Ultras until I came along and we always fought as I was the strongest Ultra of them all. Belial was holding that Riku could grant him ultimate power but instead, he ended up killing his own father." Zero sat down on an office chair then looked at the Belial capsule.
"What caused Riku to attack Kara at the train station?" Mon-El asked then Zero placed the capsule on the table and it started to glow a dim purple.
"When I encountered Belial a second time, he was trying to use Dark Magic to destroy the universe and remake it in his own image. And Ultra Capsules contain a sample of a specific Ultraman." Zero explained as Kara picked up and looked at the Belial Capsule. "If the Belial Capsule reacted like that, means that the Worldkillers might be something closely related to the Dark Magic Belial used." The team then looked at the Belial capsule until Mon-El took it from Kara's hand and was about to leave.
"Where are you going with that, Mon-El?" Alex shouted which caused Mon-El to stop and look at the team.
"I'm going to destroy it so it doesn't happen again!" Mon-El told them but Zero grabbed hold of his arm and looked at Mon-El.
"If you destroy the Belial capsule, Riku will lose two of his forms!" Zero shouted and before Mon-El could speak, they were reunited with Orb who had arrived in his Origin form.
"Zero, what's going on?" Orb asked as he changed back into Gai, he then noticed that Mon-El was holding the Belial capsule. "And why do you have the Belial capsule?" Gai asked then he took it from Mon-El's hand.
"That capsule caused Riku to attack Kara!" Mon-El shouted at Gai then he looked at Zero. "Ask him! He was the one that stopped the attack." Zero nodded then took Gai off to the side and explained everything to him.
Meanwhile:
While Laiha was holding Riku's hand, Lena walked over with a scanner to do a proper checkup on Riku to see if he was okay. She scanned him while Laiha was about to start crying when a hand appeared in front of her with a tissue, she looked up to see J'onn holding it with a smile.
"He'll be okay, he's a strong young man and he loves you." J'onn told her and Laiha nodded as she now had faith in Riku waking up again. J'onn then looked up at Lena who was reading what the scans had come up with, she looked at the tablet then looked back at Riku.
"Scans show that the power from the Ultraman Cosmos and Father Of Ultra are slowly creating an antibody of sorts to protect him from whatever made him attack Kara." Lena explained then they noticed the two capsules of Cosmos and Father Of Ultra glowing on the table beside Riku.
"Until Riku's back on his feet; Kara, Gai, Zero and the Legion will be fighting Reign and Purity." J'onn told the pair then Zero walked in and looked at Riku, he was worried about his buddy then he looked at Laiha.
"Laiha, you know Riku better than anyone that he's strong. Not even Belial could beat him so the Worldkillers don't stand a chance." Zero told her and she was right then Zero looked at J'onn. "We've lost track of Reign but I'm head back and search." Zero told him then he ran off and took off, he wanted to find Reign and stop her from hurting more people.
Five hours later:
J'onn, Alex, Winn, Supergirl and Orb (as Spacium Zeperion) arrived at City Hall to check out something that had happened: a disease of some kind had several people ill. The team decided to split up and find out what exactly happened to cause many people to become ill until they reunited by the staircase.
"Many of these people have a strange mark on their hand but it's nothing I've seen," Orb told them which got them concerned.
"Alex, we'll check the visitor logs. Orb and Supergirl, go and see if our genius can do a scan on a few blood samples." J'onn told them and they split up to do their jobs until they heard screaming so Orb and Supergirl ran outside: Irma had created a shield around the entire building and it was making thousands of people panic.
"And I was hoping not to make people panic." Orb spoke and Supergirl nodded in agreement. They ran over to Irma which caused her to turn and looked at the two heroes.
"Is Pestilence in there?" Irma asked as she turned around and looked at the heroes. Orb stepped forward and Kara could tell he was angry.
"I understand your mission to stopping the Worldkillers but answer me this: If you're part of a Legion of Supergirl, why are you breaking hero rule one: Protect the innocent." Orb told her which surprised everyone to see Orb standing up to Irma. "By you stopping these people from getting to hospital to receive treatment, you are stopping innocent lives from being saved." Orb told her and like that, Irma made the shield fade away but Orb was still looking at her. "And one more thing: we were trying to make the public panic but you've just done the opposite." With that said, Orb then walked away to the ill people while leaving a speechless Kara and frozen Irma outside.
DEO:
When the away team arrived back, the center console had a hologram of Zero up and he was waiting. Kara and Gai ran towards the center console just Zero turned and looked at the pair.
"Zero, is everything okay?" Kara asked but instead of answering, Zero shook his head then wiped his thumb across his cheek.
"No. J'onn contacted me through a physic link and told me of the only one not being sick: an Adelaide Swanson." Zero spoke and the group nodded as J'onn, Winn and Alex joined around the table. "You may think she's our Worldkiller but she isn't. I'm in her apartment but she's dead and there's an identical mark on her hand like the ones you found on the others at City Hall." The team sighed as they thought they had her. The hologram ended then Zero arrived in front of them and waved at them as he walked towards them then stopped.
"What's wrong, Zero?" Kara asked then Zero ran behind Winn just as he fell backwards. "Winn! What's wrong with him?" Kara asked but Zero didn't answer as he was using his X-Ray vision to scan Winn then he checked his hands.
"Seems like Winn's been scratched," Zero teleported everyone into the med bay and Winn was in a bed. "Since the Legion has a cure for this, I'll talk to Brainy and get some for Winn." Zero told them which made them happy.
"I'll help Alex run tests on the trace evidence of the aesthetic around the scratch." Gai offered then the pair got to work. "Laiha, how's Riku?" Gai asked as he looked at the young Ultraman.
"He's healed but still unconscious," Laiha informed them as she stood up but fell back into the chair. "And I haven't slept as I want to be awake when he wakes up." Gai smiled and nodded.
"He'll probably wake up in time to kick Pestilence's back end." Zero joked which made everyone chuckle then they all got back to work.
Chapter 5 ends here and don't you think it's good? Or better than good? Both Purity and Pestilence are awake while Reign has disappeared. Will Geed wake up? Can the cure save everyone that's been infected?
