It had been an uphill battle since the start, you'd dealt with bad match-ups before but the enemy team had little to do with the end result. One mistake was all it took to turn a difficult win into a guaranteed loss and it all had to do with a certain evil Yordle.

You cursed under your breath as you walked over to the exit platform of the summoners rift. "You weaklings are holding me back!" Is the first thing you hear as your team appears on the platform, you attempt to ignore this as best you can.

"Good job team, you did well in spite of the odds. "Tristana, Thanks for taking charge while I was busy instructing the others." "Just doing my job, sir." She gives you a quick salute and you return the gesture. "Poppy, Great job at taking the brunt of the damage. You really saved-"

"And of course you're waiting to talk about how better I am than these other weaklings!" Veigar rudely interrupts, Poppy frowns at the insult but clearly hesitates to speak up about it.

Veigar's face beams with pride and a sense of self entitlement, wanting her ego to be stroked but you refuse to reward this sort of behavior especially after that match. You walk sternly over to her and speak in a very clear and strict tone "Veigar." A devilish grin spreads across her face but before she can savor it you continue "What you did was not only disrespectful to me and my orders, but also your teammates. When I give you an order, you follow it because the things you do in the rift can put your allies in danger and compromise any form of teamwork that the others commit to. This isn't the first time you've done this but it's definitely the last, you're going to fix that ego of yours otherwise I'll find someone to replace you."

"REPLACE!? Nothing can replace my dark power! I've carried this team single handedly since the start!" She began fuming while stomping on the floor repeatedly, you start to laugh at her as the other Yordles back off after seeing Veigar's anger "I am powerful! Stop laughing!"

"If you're so powerful then why did you disobeying my orders cost us the game? Shouldn't you be powerful enough to win on your own?" She twitches violently in response and looks as if she's about to do something but instead storms off angrily.

"You probably shouldn't have done that." Tristana pointed out.

You furrow your brow at this "Why not? What's the worst that can happen?" Immediately after you finish your sentence you begin to hear large explosions in the distance.

"Oh, that's why."

"Good luck captain." She smirks at your reaction and begins to walk off with the rest of the team, 'Was she always that smug?' You start to think about it before realizing that you should probably go and try to stop those explosions.

Running in the opposite direction from the rift into the expansive forest, you begin to see scorch marks and fallen trees still smoking from the black magic. 'Damn, that yordle can really do some damage when she wants to. I'm sure that if she really wanted to she'd turn this whole forest into a crater.' You think to yourself while rushing down the forest path in front of you. At the bottom of the trail you see the angry little Yordle in question preparing to fire another spell. "Veigar!" Startled by this she whips around and accidentally releases the spell aiming in your direction but you're able to cast a defensive ward in time to take the brunt of the damage. Summoners aren't really built for fighting but you're glad that you took some of your free time to learn some defensive spells otherwise you would've been a black smear on the floor.

"Okay, gonna try the slow approach this time." You mutter under your breath.

You slowly begin to walk towards her and she looks surprised but still volatile. "What do you want you peon?"

You resent that statement and try to think of something to quip back but hold your tongue. "I just want to talk, look I'm sorry-"

"Yes! You're finally giving the treatment that a queen such as I deserve!" The egotistical shortstack interjects yet again.

"Hey now I wasn't apologizing for what I said but I may have not said it in the nicest way, that ego of yours still has to go though. I can't let you continue to be a part of the team if you keep endangering the others during matches in the rift." As you say this you kneel down to her level, it's very obvious by how she looks that she's not used to being addressed like this.

She shuffles her feet before talking again "No! I refuse, Veigar does not compromise!" She referred to herself in the third person, how cute. You stifle a chuckle at her mannerisms but in spite of what she says you can tell that she's not too sure of what she just said. Time to be the negotiator "Look, if you just work with me then I can promise you some...really powerful spells." You really need to work on your negotiating skills.

"What reason would I, the great Veigar need more spells? I am already the most powerful mage ever!"

Shit, she has a point but you're sure that you can one up her "There are some spells that not even the mightiest mages in all of Runeterra know of, things that go beyond life and death. If you work with me I'll try to see if I can get access to those spells." You can tell by her back straightening this has clearly piqued her interest "Hmm, very well. I will work with you on one condition! From now on you will be my minion!"

You were clearly lying out of your ass about the spells but at least she's more willing to work with you, but her treating you like a minion? Aren't you supposed to be the one ordering her around? You take a deep breath, you're not sure how long you're going to keep this charade up but you hope that by the time that this whole thing is sorted she'll have forgotten about any spells of untold power.
