A Plan set in Motion

In the currently developing timeline, poor baby Hiccup was crying his little heart out. He's in a little raft with nothing more than a blanket, hungry, alone, and adrift at sea. But as he's a weak and sickly little baby he can't do much in terms of movement right now, even by infant standards. This is the scene that Thor and Loki came upon. The two Gods floated down to Hiccup's raft, catching the attention of the crying baby.

Hiccup slowly stopped crying as these two new people appeared in front of him. The sadness in his eyes was soon replaced by infantile curiosity as he looked at the two glowing men floating directly above him. Hiccup started making the iconic noises known as baby babble as he reached towards the two with his tiny arms, clearly showing that he wants to be picked up. Something Thor was more than happy to do. The God of Thunder was careful not to apply too much pressure to Hiccup's frailer than normal infantile body, and made sure to swaddle the baby in the blanket he was sent off with.

The little guy sighed in content as he no longer felt the biting cold of the winter. Thor looked at the little boy sadly as he knew what the little guy had nearly gone through. Loki placed a hand on his brother's shoulder as a way of telling him that none of this was his fault.

"No need to beat yourself up, Thor. These timelines happen in the multiverse." Loki said somberly.

"I know. It doesn't make such things like this any easier, though." Thor said in response.

Little Hiccup didn't hear any of this conversation, as he was lulled into a comfortable sleep from the sound of the God of Thunder's heartbeat. Thor felt his heart go out to the child, wishing he could be taken with them to the kingdom of Asgard. But alas, this is not to be. He has his own destiny to fulfill and must be brought before Kami in order for the plan to be put into motion. But before they left, Loki made sure that something else was teleported with them back to the realm of the gods. A lone survivor among a group of dragons known as the Night Furies. A newborn Night Fury hatchling.

In fact, all over the world of vikings members of the dragons were disappearing as they were transported to Kami's realm. A realm where they will be able to live in peace. Free from the worries and fears of madmen who would either kill them all or enslave them to become their own personal army to conquer the world.

In two different places in the world, two deranged madmen sneezed at the exact same time. Though they don't know that, or why they sneezed in the first place.

Among these dragons are multiple males and females of the same species. To name a few, we have the Monstrous Nightmare, the Gronckle, the Whispering Death, the Boneknapper, the Deadly Nadder, the Hideous Zippleback, the Terrible Terror, a few packs of Speed Stingers, Skrill, Armorwing, and the one who will lead this great summoning clan, the Bewilderbeast. And with each new dragon species that's taken and added to the newly created summoning contract, the dragons of this timeline stand a much greater chance at surviving than they would otherwise.

It didn't take Thor and Loki long to return to the realm of the gods with little baby Hiccup, and the moment they arrived, Kami had already started fussing over the little guy. She had to make sure that he will be healthy enough for when he is eventually sent over to the new world, and won't suffer any lingering health problems due to his early birth. Even though the ninja world has advanced medicine compared to that of the vikings along with their medical Ninjutsu, Hiccup would stand a better chance if Kami helped to fix the damage that being born early has done to this poor infant.

"You and Loki did well bringing Hiccup here, Thor." Kami said as she cradled the baby. "And I see you have already located his bonded dragon."

"Yes, it was quite obvious, wasn't it?" Loki said as he handed over the Night Fury hatchling.

"Obvious to you, maybe. But not to many others." Kami said in response.

Using her power of telekinesis, Kami levitated the hatchling over to the cot where she'd set Hiccup to nap in. As if on instinct, the infant Night Fury curled himself around the human child while Hiccup snuggled closer to the baby Night Fury for warmth. A sight that really moved the hearts of several gods and goddesses.

"Now, all that's left to do…" Kami looked to the viewing orb. "Is wait for certain events to play out."
