Chapter 10: Games

"Jeremy I see you've gone over to the dark side. Don't you care at all what kind of monsters they are?!"

Clearly Damon Salvatore had no tact or self preservation. He was very lucky Nik wouldn't go back on their deal for mere words, or Alexinia was certain she would be staring at Damon's heart in Nik's clenched fist by now. Of course Nik didn't care if people called him a monster, it was a reputation he had earned over the many years he had been alive, but he hated when anyone insulted her.

"Damon Salvatore! If you want to talk to guests in my house like that you can leave," Jen said glaring the vampire down. Her eyes practically spitting fire.
Damon looked shocked that Jen would even dare speak to him like that. And looked around as if he was expecting someone to come to his rescue. Instead everyone around them stayed silent. Waiting to see who would give. Jen or Damon. Elena was just shaking her head and had moved to stand beside her brother, the two of them quietly whispering about something. Which was causing Nik to shake in laughter beside her. It had been a long time since she had seen Nik this carefree in the presence of so many people. It actually made him look younger, his eyes and demeanor had always made him look older and gave off warnings to not mess with him. Seeing him like this had her itching to press closer to him, to just bask in his happiness.

"Whatever, come on Stefan, Elena."

"We're staying Damon. You know where the door is." Elena said. Staring him down. Looks like she might have the same backbone as her aunt.

The vampire just glared at her and his brother before leaving with a huff. Honestly it surprised Alexinia that he didn't slam the door behind him. Although maybe he was scared about how Jen or Elena would take that. It seemed that the two of them despite being human were very good at making vampires fear their reactions.

"Sorry about him Jenna. You know how Damon can get. Ms. Potter, Klaus, I apologize for my brother's words. Hopefully they won't color your impression of me."

Stefan had a good poker face. Alexinia couldn't even tell if he was actually sincere about wanting to try and get along with them, or if he was only apologizing in fear that they might go after his brother and drive a stake through his heart. Either way as long as he remained civil she wouldn't do anything to the vampire in front of her. Although his brother might be due for a major migraine if he dared speak to her or Nik like that again. He had to learn that if he wanted to be involved in keeping Elena alive he had to work with them. Otherwise they could quite easily lock him up in the tomb with Katerina until it was over with.

"You shouldn't apologize for someone else's actions. Jen I'm starved, since the food's here let's eat."

"Are you sure it's not something else you're hungry for Ali? The sexual tension between you is still as taut as always, I'm surprised neither of you have exploded from it yet."

Instead of answering Alexinia just rolled her eyes before grabbing a bag from Stefan's hand. She was absolutely starving and the smells coming from the bag were driving her crazy. Garlic Bread especially. She really was glad that the whole garlic thing was a myth, she would have hated having to give it up, although she would have gladly done it for Nik. It seemed Jen had even made sure the garlic bread had melted cheese on top.

Plopping down on the couch Alexinia started tearing into her pasta and garlic bread. She really had to stop skipping meals, she knew she was probably making a bit of a scene but she didn't really care. It's not like she could be as messy as a vampire drinking blood straight from the vein. Plus she could never be as bad as Ron's appalling manners.

Nik just plopped down beside her, shifting her around so that her legs were resting on his lap, making them appear like a couple. It was like he wanted to give Jen ammunition, but at the same time she knew the position was so that he would feel more comfortable being around people he didn't trust for her safety. Alexinia just rolled her eyes at him and shifted a little so that her back was leaning comfortably against the pillow resting against the couch arm. Then as if nothing had happened she resumed eating, not acting surprised at all when Nik handed her an extra garlic bread from his plate. He was always concerned about her eating habits knowing what her childhood was like and liked to force her to eat more then she would usually. It was also why he liked locking her in her room with him until she ate some mornings. Sometimes she just couldn't help it Alexinia just didn't feel hungry and forcing herself to eat at those times usually ended up with her becoming ill.

"Who wants to play a game?" Jen asked mischief swirling in her eyes.

Alexinia shivered. Afraid of what Jen might do. She had made sure to never play any game Jen suggested if Nik was around. Knowing Jen the first thing she would make Ali or Nik do was kiss. On the other hand playing a game with Elena, Jeremy, Stefan, and Alaric might make them see Nik as less then a monster; as someone more approachable not someone to fear.

"I'm game, but let's play some kind of board game. There's no way I'm trusting anything you might come up with Jen. Besides there's children here."

Jen pouted at that, but there was still that hint of mischief. If Jen didn't seem so happy with Alaric, Alexinia would have arranged for Sirius to come down for a visit. She could see her godfather and best human friend really hitting it off. "Aw you take all the fun out Ali."

"Twister!" Jeremy shouted out looking like a little kid. "We haven't played in ages and it's always hilarious!"

Twister, Alexinia had never played, but she was certain that not even Jen could turn it into something sexual. Plus it would be interesting to see Nik twisting his body like that. Sure Nik would have an advantage, and most likely a vampire would win, but it would be quite interesting to see. Who would ever believe that the feared Niklaus Mikealson would ever play such a game as twister.

"That look in your eyes is interesting love," Nik purred into her ear.

"I've never played Twister. I think it would be fun, play with us Nik?" she asked making sure to give him the kitten eyes he had never been able to resist. Although there were some who would claim that he could never resist anything she asked of him.

"For you anything," he purred again making her insides clench briefly. Her hormones had been out of control lately. Maybe she should send another owl to Hermione, or maybe Luna would be a better option, to see if this was normal witch behavior after a certain age. Most witches did seem to start families much younger then Ali would have thought considering their longer life spans.

Jen just gave her another look, although it it was because of the way Nik was talking or because she somehow knew the effect Nik was having on her Ali wasn't sure. Either way she was relieved when Jeremy returned a colored mat in his hands with a board that held colored circles and an arrow.
"I'll call out the moves." It seemed Alaric didn't want to play. Maybe his human body didn't like contorting to much.

Soon they had everyone in places prepared to move around on the mat. Nik right beside her as if he was afraid of leaving her to close to the other's. He had left her at the very edge of the mat which might make it a bit more disadvantageous for her. Even before they had started moving it was already crowded with six people trying to fit in some way on the mat.

The game seemed to go by slowly to Ali, the very first move she had to make was with her partially under Nik, and all she could smell was his delicious natural scent. Nik rarely ever wore cologne saying it messed with his senses. So he smelled naturally like wood smoke, a forest, and dark chocolate. An odd combination that shouldn't be appealing, but made her want to breath it in even more just as it always had.

Nik was perched above her, his right arm just barely missing touching her breast every time she breathed. If he had been human he probably wouldn't have been able to know how far to stay away, especially when her breathing seemed to increase. She had forgotten how much being crowded got to her, after her childhood spent in a cupboard she didn't really like being enclosed, but with Nik above her it wasn't bad enough she had gone into a full blown panic attack. Perhaps Nik had known how she might react to the game and that was the real reason he was so close to her, never moving far whenever he had to move around.

Elena and Stefan went out at the same time, having gotten so tangled up with each other they had started kissing, causing Jeremy to trip them when he went for his next move. It actually surprised Ali that Stefan's vampire strength hadn't stopped them from falling, and that Jeremy was still in the game. Instead of arguing Elena and Stefan had just gone up to Elena's room, Jen shouting, "don't forget the protection," as they went up wanting to embarrass the two. Causing both Jeremy and Alaric to groan clearly not wanting to think of the two having sex while they were just bellow. Ali was really quite glad she didn't have Nik's hearing because the look in his eyes clearly showed that Jen was right about what the two were now up to.

Then somehow she and Nik got reversed. She was now hovering over Nik who had somehow ended up twisted so he was facing her. Each time she breather she couldn't stop her breasts from rubbing against Nik's chest making her extremely glad he was the only vampire left in the room. She wasn't aroused enough that he could smell it, luckily, but she was having a hard time focusing every time Alaric called out how they should move. Her next move had her biting back a slight gasping moan for she had ended up rubbing against Nik's erection as she had done so. He was turned on, by her. The next thing she knew she had fallen onto Nik her body no longer able to hold her up, Nik collapsing underneath her his erection now pushing insistently against her core. Showing what Nik was clearly craving from her. It seemed that she was wrong about not being able to make Twister sexual and it hadn't even been anything Jen had done to make this happen.

Feeling Nik throbbing against her even more caused her to panic jumping off of Nik she really hoped she wasn't blushing, which would just give Jen more ammo, "while Jen this was fun, but I should get going now. It's a long drive back home. Bye," she squeaked only going as far as the kitchen before she apparated back to her bedroom.

Even knowing it wouldn't stop Nik if he really wanted to enter, she locked her door before jumping into an ice cold shower. She couldn't believe what had just happened at Jen's. If they had been alone and that had happened would she have been able to resist Nik? When she had felt his arousal in the past it had always been right after they had both woken up or when Nik had met Jen and been out of his mind, never when they were already fully awake. She had just thought it was his morning problem, that not even being a vampire stopped men from waking up like that, but what if it had always been her? Could Jen actually be right about the sexual tension between her and Nik? Not that it mattered. Ali was never going to risk her friendship with Nik. Hopefully the run back would cool Nik off and he wouldn't ask her about why she fled. Ali just wanted to pretend it had never happened.

Knowing she needed advice badly she started writing her letter to Luna, Hey Hops. I could really use your help with something urgently, I'm not in danger just would be better to talk about this in person. Need your unique perspective on things. Love Howl.

Luna and she had both met on and off occasionally since she had lived with Nik. And at one of those times they had both decided to become animagus. It had surprised Ali when instead of a doe like her mother or her patronus suggesting that since it was a stag, she was a wolf. Although more the size of a dire wolf or a small horse, than an average wolf. So Luna had nicknamed her howl and it hadn't surprised her that Luna was a Hare hence Hops. Luna's cryptic nature always meant it was better to talk to her in person. Her aura and expressions gave away more clues then just her words. Besides maybe Luna could help her end Nik's curse!

Knowing Luna she would show up immediately after she got her letter, although how long that took depended on where exactly Luna's travels and studies into magical creatures took her. Hopefully it didn't take too long because she really needed her right now.

AN: As always sorry for the wait. Knew the jist of where I wanted this chapter to go, but the Twister part was alluding me on how to make it work. Sorry for the lack of dialogue near the end, but that's how the muses wished it. Please tell me what you think, and thanks for being such loyal fans to an inconsistent author like me :)
