The knock on the door was quiet, and if Kurt hadn't been in the kitchen getting a drink, he probably wouldn't have heard it.

He wasn't sure if he should answer it, due to how late it was. If it was one of his friends, they would have surely called or texted before dropping in to spend the night.

The person he least expected was Blaine, because of their fight over June and the showcase. But, sure enough, there he stood.

"What do you need?" Kurt asked. He wasn't sure how he and Blaine stood after the whole blow-up at NYADA. They hadn't talked in almost four days, and they were the worst four days Kurt had had in a long time.

"Look, I know you're still mad, but… can I stay here for the night? Sam and Mercedes are fighting, and I have a headache, and I'm soaked from the rain, and I miss you, and Kurt, I'm sorry I lied to you," Blaine blurted out in one breath. Kurt looked him over from head to toe as he shivered in the doorway. He was soaking, and he looked pale and just plain sick. Kurt knew he had to let him in.

"You can sleep on the couch," Kurt told him, stepping aside to give Blaine room to walk in. "I'll get you a pair of my pajamas."

Blaine nodded, grateful, but still wishing Kurt would forgive him already. Truth was, he had been feeling horrible since the day he got in his fight with Kurt. His throat hurt, he was exhausted, and was pretty sure he had a fever. Blaine pulled off his wet jacket and kicked off his shoes before lying down on the couch. The subway ride had exhausted him, and he just wanted some sleep.

"Here you go," Kurt sighed, bringing in a t-shirt and pajama pants. "Blaine?"

Blaine moaned as he sat up, his head throbbing. "Sorry. I'll try not to bother you. Thanks."

"Are you okay?" Kurt asked him. Blaine didn't look at him as he pulled off his shirt to change his clothes.

"I'll be fine," Blaine mumbled. He didn't want to make Kurt take care of him, no matter how bad he felt. Blaine knew he had screwed up, and he was just lucky Kurt had let him in.

He expected Kurt to leave then, to sigh passive-aggressively and retreat to his bed. But when Blaine laid down, he felt a blanket being draped over him.

"Sit up," Kurt told him. Blaine obeyed, holding his head up and lying back down on one of Kurt's fluffy pillows.

"Thanks," Blaine mumbled. He was tired enough to fall asleep right then, but his eyes shot open, and he sat up again. "Wait, why are you taking care of me? I lied to you for weeks. I didn't even expect you to let me stay here."

Blaine felt the couch cushion sink a little as Kurt sat next to him. He put his arm around Blaine, and Blaine laid his head on Kurt's shoulder.

"Because I can tell when you're sick from a mile away. Not talking these last few days has been horrible. You know I'm going to support you no matter what you do, so you should have just told me about June," Kurt told him, pulling away to look Blaine in the eye. Blaine nodded understandingly. Were they really making up? Blaine had been miserable since their fight, and not just from being sick.

"I know," Blaine promised. "I want you to trust me. And I promise that you can. Are we okay?"

Kurt wrapped his arm around Blaine again. "We're okay. But now we have to deal with you. Honey, I think you have mono."

Blaine's heart skipped a beat. "That's… that's from kissing people. I haven't kissed anyone but you, I promise. That can't be it."

"No, honey, you can get it other ways. Finn had it when we were juniors, and then he gave it to me when I drank after him. You're sick exactly like we were."

Blaine whined again and tried to lie down. Kurt covered him up and brought him a drink, even though it didn't do anything for his sore throat.

"Don't get too comfortable. I guess you can sleep in my bed for the night," Kurt said. "Just don't be a blanket hog. I get cold, too."

Blaine grinned happily, and let Kurt hug him and help him get settled in his bed.

"You'll probably feel pretty bad for a week or so," Kurt warned him, laying down beside him. "I guess it wouldn't hurt if you stayed here until you feel better. Especially if Sam and Mercedes are about to go to divorce court."

Blaine laughed a little, even though it hurt his throat.

"I hated fighting with you," he confessed, laying his head on Kurt's arm. "I love you, and you mean a lot more to me than anything June could do for me."

"I love you, too," Kurt said back. Blaine was beyond relieved to finally hear those words. No matter how much they fought about stupid things, he knew they would never stop loving each other.

Author's Note:

This is basically just them making up from their fight in the finale, I just threw the mono bit in there because that's that the prompt was. And since I'm 99% sure I've already written Blaine with mono before, I didn't want to just repeat it. But hey, I'm just writing what you guys give me. I love all your prompts!
