His own warm bed. He was feeling it again, after so long.
To be perfectly honest, despite it being only over a week since he'd last been in his room, feeling the soft pillows against his cheeks made it feel like a century.
Fresh off the New Year, Minoru Mineta had had to travel away to a new location, to hone himself during the hard Japanese winters, at an internship with Team Lurkers. It was only seven whole day away, but the days had been long and challenging and the cold bit hard, even with his winter costume and two scarfs on.
But he was laying in his bed now. Still and happy as could be. The short boy felt himself sighing in apprectiation of the purple pillow's comfort—reflecting on those super educational days—and feeling just a bit happy that they were over. Now that he was in the safety of the dorm room's again, he could go back to enjoying youth and high school life. Well, he hoped so.
Ah well—come what may, Mineta always knew that a certain boy would always stand with him, to support him through thick and thin, and push him on on his long, hard journey. The short boy hoped that he could do the same for him—but a guy like that, does he ever worry nowadays?
He'd been working even harder than before, Mineta betted. Rushing around the city that the current Number One guarded, day by day. A man who seemed like a complete and utter jerk, but a respectable hero even so—someone who he'd definitely learn a lot from when it came to hero stuff.
Leaning up slightly, Mineta gazed at his door, one that didn't open and continued not to open for minutes on end. They'd setted something up, to meet at Mineta's door once he'd returned from his hard week with the Number One. With U.A.'s service—it wouldn't be long before he came back. Letting out another sigh, the grape child went into thought.
Despite it being only over a week, Mineta wondered what he would look like now. To anyone else but those other two—he was just the same guy. Mineta might just be the one overthinking here.
Thinking about it filled his core with warmth, and made his tiny heart beat faster and faster...how could Mineta possibly stop himself?
Maybe...he'd grown a bit taller. Maybe that determined look in his eyes he had during fights had gotten more intense (and attractive), maybe that timidness of his was even less prominent.
Well, Mineta would find a way to bring out—because there certainly was at least one.
It didn't really matter if he looked like a completely different guy, but just being able to take those differences in—take everything in—made Mineta just fall head over heels time and time again.
It was bliss at its finest, and after this long and cold week, he wanted it more than ever, before anything else. As soon as he—
A knock sounded.
The throw and push back into reality made the purple-haired boy realise how much he was blushing with all these overly romantic thoughts. Damnit, he needed to get a grip. Getting off his bed, he felt so hot and yet so cold—so many feelings rushing across his skin, so many emotions surging throug—as he anticipated who the visitor was. There was a chance it was someone else—but he'd have a response for that when it came.
Mineta knew one-hundred percent, who was waiting for him to open that door.
With small steps, he walked over to the door, remiscing on all the times he'd visited. The cuddles they'd shared—the movies they'd laughed with together—the conversations they'd had—the comfort given, together.
He simply couldn't wait to make more of those memories.
Reaching the door, he stood on his tip toes, his small hand reaching the cold doorknob, turning it and turning it. The door opening to reveal...
...the awaited visitor. The guy who'd help him come to terms with himself, the one who'd helped him on a better path, helped him to gain an awesome family of friends.
The first person to set his heart on fire the way he did.
Right now, his cheeks were definitly red, but that didn't matter at all. Meeting eyes with the his tall visitor, Mineta gave a genuine smile, his heart simply sparkling to see him again. Despite it being only over a week since seeing him, the heat against his cheeks made it feel like a century.
"Izuku."
Even though he was meant to be saying something else, saying his name again after forever felt even better, he'd have to excuse him for this. Even so, he continued to glow. Donning his U.A. uniform with a colourful scarf, and chuckling at his boyfriend's stupor, Izuku crouched down to meet the shorter boy's level.
His friendly green eyes peered into Mineta dark ones, ever since he'd started to notice Minoru more frequently—Izuku noticed that they weren't black, but actually a lovely shade of dark purple. If not for what he had to do right now, he'd be looking into them until Minoru got too embarrassed, though part of him admitted, he liked those moments.
"I've missed you."
Wrapping his arms around Minoru, he quickly took him up in his arms, standing up and pulling him close without a single struggle. Izuku moved his hand to back of his head—being careful to avoid his sticky balls—and pulling him in.
It wasn't long before their lips met.
Minoru knew what was happening immediately—and melted into the kiss just as quickly.
This was something they'd done countless times before. And in their humble opinion, they'd gotten tons better at it—yet every time, the soft contact of each other's lips sent shockwaves and sparkles through their bodies—as they hummed, parted and meeted, before moving their lips together in sync once more, not even thinking about the infernos on their faces for a second. Wrapping his short arms around the back of Izuku, he pushed them in further—he sure was lucky to not have to worry about being stuck to something.
Wasn't there the saying 'distance makes the heart grow fonder'? Well, for Minoru and Izuku, the that couldn't be any more true. Missing each other so dearly, it made each other's kisses all the longer and stronger, it was only right to make the other feel welcome again.
It may have been a second, or minutes, but the bliss—it felt like the week hadn't even gone by yet. The two finally parted, once again looking into each other's eyes. This time, it was Mineta's turn to be embarrassed, turning away from the cute smile of Izuku, who was still holding him up.
Seems like he would have to wait to another day to try and fluster the boy.
But that was for later.
After all—they had a load of catching up to do.
"Minoru."
Said Izuku. After a few seconds, his boyfriend turned back him with a pout, meeting his glow again. And the pout...disappeared.
It was probably a cute grin now—or something.
"I'm back."
Izuku announced quietly to him, with a smile.
Minoru could do nothing but lean in leave a peck on the green-haired boy's cheek, still bright red. Yep, they had many more moments to share, and Minoru was beyond excited.
"Hehe...welcome back, Izuku."
