How annoyed working with people.
It's annoying sometimes, even for the calmest, like Todoroki Shoto, whose day hadn't been set from the very beginning.
He woke up completely alone, seeing justification as a short note from Izuku:
"I left early, a lot of work, don't be bored! Kiss ya ;* "
Bad news, however. A whole day without his sun. The day will definitely fail.
Oh yes, that's exactly what happened.
Shoto got out of bed and headed for the shower: there was no water.
"Perfect start."
He'll have to go to work even without the shower.
Todoroki went into the kitchen, looking forward to a delicious breakfast. He opened the fridge and ..
"Nothing? Izuku, are you kidding?"
Breakfast from a piece of old cheese and a dead mouse, what hung in their fridge? Thank you, but it is better to be hungry.
Now Shoto had to go to work also hungry.
"Great" start of the day.
The next step in the "good" Todoroki's morning routine was to get dressed.
Todoroki nearly got a concussion when he banged his head on the closet door, trying to figure out WHAT HE SHOULD ON.
No, he certainly is not a woman to hysteria on such a question, but here is an extreme: Shoto goes to the hero's office to rake the papers without going on patrol. So, a heroic costume today is not needed. T-shirt and jeans? Too casual for a hero like Shoto: reporters and journalists could jump at any moment.
Strict suit? For what? There seems to be no reason, just sit all day in the office, sorting through pieces of paper.
So WHAT?
Already late to the office, Todoroki grabbed the first thing that came to hand. For some reason, fortune went over to his side: the case fell on a shirt of a pleasant, blue hue, and dark jeans. Perfectly. Not too relaxed, but not too strict style. And how Shoto didn't think of this before?
Putting on his white sneakers, Todoroki flew out of the house without even bothering to look out the window. It was a big mistake...
As soon as Todoroki opened the door of their house, rain fell on the ground. Shoto, realizing that he was already quite late, ran toward the garage.
Slamming the car door, Todoroki exhaled and decided to look in the mirror.
Wet to the skin: a lock of hair unpleasantly stuck to his forehead, and huge drops of water rolled down his face. But, on the other hand, he at least took a shower.
"Traffic jam. Who would doubt it?"
Sometimes pressing hard on the beep, Shoto, propping his head with his hand, looked at the wipers what fiercely ran around the windshield.
Having freaked out, Shoto taxied on a U-turn through a continuous strip. As soon as the car turned 180 , Todoroki saw the traffic police, who undoubtedly saw a violation.
"Heck!"
Shoto was still late to the heroes agency's office, as he was stuck along the way, waiting for him to be fined.
Finally opening the door to his office, Todoroki burst in, looking for something to change clothes. Nothing good was found, so he had to put on a strict suit that hung in his office "in reserve" in case of an unexpected meeting.
Sitting on a chair, Todoroki began to turn on the computer, simultaneously sorting a mountain of documents lying on a table in a huge pile.
Shoto already went through all the documents when he realized that his computer haven't turn on yet.
"Oh God. What happened?"
Rummaging through the wires under the table and not finding anything, Shoto sat back in his chair.
"I urgently need to break something"
Todoroki didn't have to break anything, because a great idea got into his head.
Shoto didn't hesitate, grabbed his phone and dialed the desired number. After some time, the right person nevertheless answered him:
"Do you wanna die, icy-hot?! I see no other reason for you to call me, interrupting my sleep!!"
"Bakugo. Shut up at least once in your life."
"What did you say?! I will-"
"Listen. I have problems."
"And what?! Why are you calling me?! Are you sure you didn't drink?!"
"Shut your mouth! Please!"
Bakugo was silent for a couple of seconds, deciding whether to listen to the half-n-half idiot or not.
"You are drunk. I'm sure, you idiot."
"I did NOT get drunk!"
"And what is your problem then at 9 am?!"
Todoroki in elevated tones, describing every detail, told Katsuki about all the incidents of his morning. The only one who was not supposed to respond to the scream with a worried voice was Bakugo. He screams back. But Shoto was already used to it. It is much more difficult to explain your emotions to a worried Izuku than to constantly screaming Katsuki.
"You are drunk."
"God, stop repeating this! I'm generally in the office!"
"Well, good luck working drunk, idiot."
"Katsu? Why are you screaming? I'm trying to sleep." in the background at Bakugou was heard Eijiro's indignant voice.
"Get lost, icy-hot. And stop drinking! And call me in the morning!!"
"I DID NOT-"
But no one heard him. Shoto heard only long beeps in the receiver.
"God help me."
If only he would not tell Izuku about his stupid thoughts.
After working all day in the office without a computer, Shoto was wildly tired. Especially infuriated people who couldn't understand that heroes can be busy and do NOT go on patrol every day!
Today, before lunch, probably 10 people were crowding with him, indignant about
"why the hero, who is not on patrol, did not want to help me find a phone or a purse!"
Shoto's patience was iron, but it burst one fine moment.
He said loudly: "Stop breaking into my office! I can be busy too! Get out of here!"
One phrase spoken by the hero caused a resonance among especially dissatisfied people.
"He yelled at us! Look! The hero yelled at me!"
Yes, yes, after 3 hours of listening to disgruntled exclamations and many flattering words to your address.
Perfect...
Closer to 16 o'clock, Todoroki's work phone rang again. He, without hesitation, said:
"Shoto Todoroki, I don't need advertising, I don't go to patrol, I'm busy at my office, you can find a handbag yourself. If something is urgent, speak plain text and quickly."
"Wow! Here is a greeting! Um, am I considered an urgent matter?"
"Oh, I'm sorry, Izuku, hi. Did something happen? Why are you calling here? On a mobile, I would at least understand that you are calling."
"Yeah, if you would have answered." jokingly said Midoria
"Oh, I forgot it at home."
"Haha, Shoto, why are you so absent-minded?"
"I don't know." Todoroki smiled slightly.
"Okay, I actually need to ask you something."
"Hm?"
"Today I am delaying a bit, and even somehow I didn't even think of taking an umbrella. Will you pick me up from the hero place in the evening? I think at 7."
/Hero place - A place where heroes can change clothes and take a shower after a patrol before heading home./
"Sure, Izu. But I also don't have an umbrella."
"Have you been hit by the rain in the morning?"
"Yeah, a little."
"Sho! How could you not take an umbrella with you! You will get sick in the end!"
"Don't worry, I won't get sick."
"Why are you so sure about it?! I'll have to take a vacation while you'll be on sick leave, and now it'll be so inappropriate!"
"Honey, don't worry so, I won't get sick. But If I will, I'll take care of myself." Todoroki smiled.
"As if I left you alone and sick! I love you, if you didn't noticed!"
"And I love you to, Izuku. Do not be so angry." Todoroki said this extremely softly, in that tone he always reduced the ardor of his beloved.
"N-no .. Shoto!! I-I ... don't you dare use such a trick! This doesn't work on m-me!!"
"Well, it worked, yeah?"
"SHOTO!"
"Haha, Izuku. You are so cute."
"OK I AM FORGIVING YOU."
Todoroki start laughing.
"Stop flattering me! See you in the evening, don't forget to pick me up!"
"Sure, I won't forget."
"Bye! Kiss ya!"
"Bye.."
Todoroki wanted to hang up when he suddenly heard a voice.
"Wait, Shoto."
"Ah?"
"I love you."
"And I love you to, Izuku."
"Hee hee, now that's all. See ya!"
"Sure."
Both hung up at the same time.
"Something good in this terrible day."
Todoroki literally counted seconds until 18:00. The best time, when he can finally leave the office and go home to meet Izuku. Heroes don't have a strictly working day in the office, but leaving too early was not considered a good form on the part of the hero. Therefore, you had to sit in the office until 6 pm, even if you finished work. In fact, this is exactly what Shoto was doing: he finished his work about 20 minutes ago, and now he stared stupidly at the clock opposite, which showed 17:59.
"Minute, minute, minute ..."
Shoto already managed to change into the clothes in which he came to the office and put the suit in place. He almost repaired the computer and examined the carpet on the office floor.
It also turned out that there were very interesting books on his shelves that he should read someday.
Todoroki stared at the clock again and immediately rose from his seat: 18:00.
"Finally!"
Hastily leaving the office, he saw 10 more people locking their offices. Those, obviously, were also very, very waiting for six hours to return home as soon as possible.
Everyone looked at each other and smiled quietly, looking at the identical actions of their colleagues.
Heroes are people too.
Leaving the building in a friendly crowd, everyone scattered in different directions.
Todoroki remained under the porch, wondering how to get to the car, without getting wet, otherwise Midoria would be upset again if he saw Todoroki wet because of the rain again.
A cheerful Eijiro came to help him, lending a friend an umbrella so that he could easily reach the goal. Todoroki thanked Kirishima and, promising to return the umbrella, headed for the car.
Having folded the umbrella and throwing it in the back seat, Shoto barely started the car.
Today is TODOROKI SHOTO's DAY, everything is going according to plan.
As a result, cope with a stubborn machine, Shoto advanced to the hero place.
And again traffic jams, such a charm.
After standing for 40 minutes in morally uncomfortable conditions, Todoroki reached his destination.
Shoto got out of the car and headed towards the entrance to the building, leaning on the trunk of the nearest tree.
About 10 minutes were left before their meeting, so Todoroki relaxed and thought a little about their past.
Shoto and Izuku have been dating for a long time: for sure, about 6 years. Together they graduated from the academy, took courses, and became respected heroes. Izuku never stopped trying to save everyone and everything, even outside of Japan in one second.
Todoroki more than once ran to the hospital at the speed of light, where Midoria got, again fighting alone with a bunch of villains. And each time Todoroki came running, sitting down next to him and began a lecture that he would not hurt to learn to think about him too, without getting involved in a fight alone. But Midoria only smiled and asked for forgiveness. And of course, seeing these eyes, Shoto could not resist in full guilt and always forgave, bringing various sweets to the hospital.
Once Todoroki wanted to save Izuku, but in the end everything turned out exactly the opposite.
During another fight with villains, Todoroki noticed how one of them was approaching from Midoria's back, whom he hadn't noticed yet. Throwing off his problems, Shoto rushed right at that villain, using his ice side to freeze the reptile. But...Villain was too strong, so he dealt with ice in the blink of an eye. After villain decided to strike right at Todoroki's chest.
Then Midoria intervened, pushing villain back with his quirk.
Both survived by saving each other.
A pleasant voice led Todoroki out of thoughts.
"Shoto, why are you standing under the umbrella? The rain is over."
"Uhm?"
Todoroki raised his head and saw his personal green-haired sun. And as soon as it peered out, the real sun hastened behind him, dispersing clouds, from which merciless rain poured all day.
The setting sun shone behind Midoria and it looked so beautiful that Shoto was almost speechless.
"What? Shoto? You ok?" Midoria's smile gave way to surprise.
"Izuku, will you be my sunshine?"
"Haha, I don't know what you're driving at, but I'll probably agree."
Todoroki hugged Midoria tightly, inhaling the pleasant smell of cologne.
"Come on?"
"Yeah."
Guys clasped their hands and headed for the car to finally go home, where they could eat a delicious dinner prepared by Todoroki. Although he knew how to cook, he did it very rarely. After a meal, they can finally go to a warm bed and sleep soundly, breathing in the smell of a loved one and gently squeeze each other's palms.
