Chapter 49

It's amazing how fast time can fly. Especially the time that I've spent with Nepgear and everyone else. At first it was just the nine of us. Nepgear and I became a couple. Then Martin came to be our friend.

The scene Nepgear and I are in is no different. It seems like just yesterday we were at that school dance and I kissed her out of the blue while she was confessing to me.

Same restaurant as we went to on our first date, as per her request. There's just something about this place that gives me a feeling of romance. I'll probably never act on these feelings but they're nice anyways.

As we speak, she sits at the opposite end of the booth. It's in a part of the restaurant that's more secluded from the rest of the joint. Just me and her together.

I mean that actually, it's almost just me and her here tonight. Must be a slow business day for this place. I'm not complaining though, it gives us more room to breathe and communicate without being nervous.

I look to Nepgear for a brief moment. For some reason I can't look at her for long without getting butterfly's in my stomach. She looks more… beautiful tonight if there's such a thing as that.

She notices my sudden burst of shyness and begins to chuckle. "I thought I told you it's alright to be a little scared."

Her voice gives me enough courage to look her in the eyes continuously. I don't know why she looks better than usual tonight. My head becomes fuzzy in seconds from my staring.

"Goodness, are you alright?" The sweet voice that I love to hear so much clears my head slightly. It's a good thing I have her around, I might pass out otherwise.

"Still nervous I guess. I'm still not fully adjusted to the whole date scenario."

I sigh, Nepgear starts to chuckle at me for some reason. I didn't realize that I did something funny.

"What's so funny?" I give a few light chuckles myself. It is true what they say, when someone laughs everyone laughs.

"It's nothing really." Why do I get the impression that there's more to it than that? She laughs again in a soft manner.

To be honest I'm still extremely nervous about this date. The thought of one wrong move ending a relationship is overbearing to say the least.

"Huh?" I feel something fleshy take hold of my hands. Once I come back to reality I realize that Nepgear's grabbed on to both of mine. It's happening again… a relationship spark.

"Your hands are so warm." Nepgear sounds like she's really happy to hold me right now.

"And your skin is so soft…" It's the best I can come up with at the moment. I think it carries a lot of meaning though. Nepgear looks down and blushes, a sure sign that it's working.

Whatever she did it worked. At first I was more nervous than I'd ever been. Now I think I might be able to pull of this date without a hitch.

"Jack…" I've never seen her look this cute before.

"Nepgear…" She knows what's coming next.

Both of us lean over the table getting ready for a kiss. Mere inches away from each other, we can feel each others breath. One of life's greatest pleasures is about to be granted to me.

"Order 367!" And just when the getting was good.

We were about to have a very emotional kiss. This must be the universes way of punishing me.

"Sorry, got to get that."

Instead of the perfect kiss, I give her a quick one on the cheek before getting up. She becomes disappointed but smiles when I leave for a moment.

She seems to like the little peck on the cheek just fine though, so overall it's a win for me. Now to retrieve our orders like a good little boyfriend.

I get our plates and quickly get back to our booth. Quickly I take a seat again to face Nepgear. The food almost looks as good as her… she still takes the cake by a landslide though.

Her plate consists of a cheeseburger with onions, lettuce, and tomato. Mine is a cheeseburger as well but it's plain. I never was one for all those toppings. Guess it matches my personality in a way.

Since neither of us can really eat a lot, we decided to get a share order of fries instead. This isn't what I'd call a fancy meal, but it's what she wanted.

Once this dinner is wrapped up I have a really big surprise in store for her. It's nothing like that, just a simple gift. However, judging from the way we both are right now, dinner could take a little while.

"That was amazing…" Nepgear lets out a happy sigh of relief. She must really like small town burgers. I'll admit they're good, but are they really date worthy?

Oh well, as long as she's happy I'm happy. And I've got money that she's about to be happier in the next ten minutes.

"You're more amazing though… just putting that out there." Like a pro.

"Aww, that's so sweet." Nepgear blushes at my comment and looks at me with her very adorable eyes. If they were guns they would've killed me.

I blush too, I'm still not adapted to compliments. While she's always advancing and pushing our boundaries, I just stay the same nervous coward that I was on day one. What I'm saying is… I don't feel like I contribute that much to the relationship.

That ends today, I'm going to be the boyfriend she deserves. Even if it kills me.

"Looks like we're done here. I've got a surprise for you."

"Oh?" Nepgear looks puzzled at my words. She'll be changing that expression in a heartbeat once she sees it. Well… more like chooses it.

I take her hand, she looks surprised by this at least. Actually, she looks happy since I'm the one who put my hand on her this time.

Walking to the counter, I pay the check and get my change. Afterwards we walk out the door and continue to the central part of town. Since it's almost Winter, the moon comes out a lot earlier than it usually does.

"Jack… what's this surprise you have?"

I suddenly stop and look her in the eyes with as much passion as I can possibly give. The next words are going to be the most important words I say all night.

"Nepgear… for the three months we've been together there have been some good times. There have also been some bad times but we can overlook those ones."

I pause for a second to catch my breath. Just her presence is making me really nervous saying this. It's her reaction that'll be worth it though.

"So I got you this as a gift…" I hand her a small piece of paper. It might not look like much but once she understands she'll be really happy.

"What's this?"

"Since I was busy with schoolwork and other things earlier this month, I didn't have time to order this. It'll arrive tomorrow though."

Nepgear tilts her head in curiosity. She still doesn't know what that piece of paper is. Well it's to be expected, that paper is mostly digital now.

"I ordered you a build a robot kit. Programming software included." That piece of paper is the shipping receipt.

"Jack…"

She lunges herself towards me and gives me a large hug. I can feel every bit of passion and excitement in this hug of hers. She always told me about her love of robots, I'm just giving her what she wanted.

"Happy anniversary Nepgear." I put my arms around her and put one of my hands on the back of her head. Her warmth is finally felt on my end. The hug we're having is more powerful than any other thing we've ever done.

Aside from sleeping in the same bed together. That was simply because I was having nightmares that made me wake up crying.

"Happy anniversary Jack." She finally plants her head on my chest and nuzzles herself to a comfortable stop. It feels pretty good on my end too.

We stay like this for a minute before separating. Once she does so my body feels cold. It was nice while it lasted, and it'll be even nicer once she gets it.

She looks to the ground before speaking to me again. "Um… Jack. I know this isn't really a gift… but…"

*Kiss*

She places her lips on mine. As always, I feel really good when our lips meet. Just the overall sensation makes my heart feel different than anything else.

"I love you!" I say that after suddenly breaking the kiss.

"I love you too!" She says back to me with glee in her voice. I've made her really happy tonight. And hopefully I'll continue to make her feel happier.

"It's getting a little late. Maybe we should head back." I say as I look at the sky. I wouldn't want to be out here after dark, then we might have a chance to run into Andrew.

"You're right, let's go." I grab onto her hand before we begin walking. Shortly afterwards she pulls in close to my side and wraps both her arms around my arm.

I don't mind though, it feels really nice having her by my side. I love her more than anything, what can I say?

We walk for about ten minutes before we reach the apartment complex. We walk up to her door first, got to be a gentleman after all.

"Tonight was fun Jack, happy anniversary."

"Yeah… happy anniversary Nepgear." As I'm about to leave for the night, I feel an arm being placed on my shoulder.

Turning around it's Nepgear , I should've guessed that but I'm kind of too happy to think clearly. "What is it?" I ask with general curiosity.

"Could… you come in for a second. I want to show you my room." I've never seen her room before, maybe that's why she wants me to see it.

I nod to her and the two of us walk through her apartment. Automatically I notice that Neptune isn't around. My guess would be she's taking a shower.

We get to her room and she opens the door. The inside doesn't look too much different from my room. There's a full sized bed with a cartoonish robot comforter. She has a desk with multiple machine parts scattered all across it. And there's a TV with what looks to be like a few game consoles hooked up to it.

She closes the door behind me and locks it. My mind starts running all these different scenarios about what's going to happen.

"Jack…" Her eyes are only half open when she speaks.

"Nepgear…"

*Bump!* She jumps onto me and we land on her bed. Right now we're in a compromising position with her on top of me. "I love you Jack…"

Feelings and primal desires start to course through my body. I think that's what's going on with her right now. I've made her so happy that she just can't help but love me in this way.

If it is the way I'm interpreting things, we are at that age where experiences occur. I look into her half open eyes and see exactly what's going on.

She does have that primal desire right now. Normally she's so quiet and reserved. Now she's on top of me with hormones running through her body.

Nepgear lowers her head to kiss me for the second time tonight. I kiss back because it's the polite thing to do.

*Kiss* *Smack* *Smack*

I can feel her small tongue trying to get into my mouth. Not wanting to put up a fight I let her explore on her own.

As her tongue glides through my mouth I can feel something change in my body. I feel more… attracted to her right now. This must be the power of teenage hormones. They've already gotten to Nepgear.

"Huh?" Hands are grabbing at my side. Nepgear's trying to pull off my shirt as we speak. Oh god, it's totally happening.

She breaks the kiss for a moment to get my shirt over my head. Immediately she goes back in for another kiss.

"MMM… Ah!" She moans loudly as I assault her mouth with my tongue this time. She's paralyzed by the pleasure as I greedily claim her mouth as my own.

Feeling even greedier, with the little space I have between our bodies I find one of her buttons. With one hand I unbutton the top button while undoing her ascot.

"Haa… haa… haa…" I'm breathing heavily when she gets up. She's still on top of me mind you just sitting up. Right now she looks like she's in a really strong daze.

I am too, and I'm finally acting on what my instincts told me to do when she locked us in here. Wait… was this her plan all along?

"Here… let me help you…" She undoes a few more of her buttons and lifts up her undershirt. Right now my friends, I'm seeing Nepgear's bra.

I'm not saying this just because I'm totally horny right now, but she looks absolutely stunning. No… I'll say what I really want to say. She looks sexy.

Basically both of us are half naked on each other right now. From what I can tell, she's feeling the same thing I'm feeling. And if nothing stops us we might go all the way.

Still not sure if it's weird after three months. Regardless we're both masses of hormones right now and it's almost like a symphony.

*Knock, Knock, Knock!* "Hey Nep Jr. you alright in there." And just like that Neptune has to come and ruin the mood. Once we heard those knocks, both of us snapped back to reality.

"Um… Nepgear…" I say that softly so Neptune doesn't hear me. If she saw this I'd be dead on the spot.

"Ja… Jack…" Her entire face turns red after she sees what she's done. Not only removed my shirt, but shown me her bra as well.

"Ah!" She just had to scream.

Neptune kicks the lock out and sees what we've done. She's seeing a shirtless man and an almost topless girl who is her sister.

"Um Neptune… I can explain."

"Jack! How dare you defile my kid sister! You and me are going to have a long chat!"

Nepgear gets off me and she grabs me by the throat and drags me into the other room. Nepgear is paralyzed in fear as she hears so many unspeakable noises coming from the living room.

A/N: Again, another piece of shit chapter I put together to clear my mind. Basically has the same concept as the original thought with a few tweaks.
