Chapter 2: Ian Rider
The sun was unbearably hot, and the lady; Katherine Jane Walker was grateful that there was shade by the wall under the tree, she was on break from her rounds across the prison and had decided to have a smoke in the shade.
She was on break for another ten minutes when she had a suspicious feeling of being watched, she looked around carefully and when she saw nothing, she pretended to relax.
Katherine stood up from her position against the wall, foot on the wall, a cigarette in her mouth, she blew out smoke and she had heard a car arrive with her eyes had been closed, and now she opened them, most prisoners didn't get visit's after all no one really knew about this prison unless they were in the clear.
She was suspicious, even more as he smiled at her like he knew her.
"Good afternoon," the soldier said, he pulled out his ID Badge iding him as Josef Conner.
Putting her hand on her gun, her hips, she eyed him, as he opened his green messenger bag and pulled out an envelope. A beige looking one, she saw a flash of cursive writing and frowned. Some prisoners got mail, not all of them, but it was interesting to see this man deliver it. If she was not on a job, and if she had a normal job, she might've asked him out.
"What is this? She asked with no trace of an accent of any kind, she had trained not to have one, no one needed to know Katherine was a ruse. A ruse that had been planned out for at least three months with almost half a pay up front. She was an assassin after all, an operative, one of many exceptionally good at their jobs.
"A letter for prisoner 6," he said lightly and walked away.
Looking down carefully Katherine realized that HQ had just made contact.
She dropped the cigarette on the ground typed in her code and followed the instructions…

There was 20 guards, that he was aware of, they all dressed the same, looked the same, and almost all talked the same, there was two kitchen staff who lived on compound just to make food, and then there was a small isolated tower, only three people went in and came out an hour later. Then there was the therapist. And 11 prisoners.
Prisoner 3 was reported to be in the tower, he had been moved after Ian had arrived at his new prison, from the hospital. Apparently, he had been in a coma for three years. And when he had woken he had been transferred here, and told that this was his new home, when Ian had asked Crawley where Alex was the man had smiled and said that Alex was alive and healthy, but that Ian needed to stay away because he was supposed to be dead, and that Jones had ordered him to stay here. Here he was known as Prisoner 6, with no other name, apparently, he was now a ghost.
Prison was relatively boring, he did the same things day in and day out with at least 10 other prisoners, sleep, eat, walk around clean and go back to his cell. So, when Prisoner six found a piece of paper under his pillow after doing a three-hour laundry load, he was alert.
Unfolding the paper, after making sure no one could see it, Prisoner Six saw in neat cursive writing, unfamiliar writing:
Ian,
Extraction in three days time, be prepared, Prisoner Three will also be coming, do not tell anyone about this letter.
-Ivan
Attached to the letter was a silver scorpion, that made Ian Rider look around and frown, what was this? Why was SCORPIA suddenly interested in him?

Alex Rider crossed his arms and glanced around, it had been a long 15 hours, as soon as Blunt had been shot and killed, the bodyguards had rushed Jones right back into the house, and MI6 as well as the police had come as fast as they could. 10 minutes, he had been interrogated and was under protective custody, well until Jones had decided to send him on a mission, the file was faxed to him and the teen spy sat down reading it quietly and grinned.
His work phone buzzed, looking down Alex saw: Walker, flash and the calling number blocked out, not like it mattered Alex had remembered this number by heart.
Scowling he picked up and held the phone to his ear, breathing but not speaking. "Extraction is in ten days, say your goodbyes, HQB has called all agents to come to Rome, something big is going to happen," Walker said, and Alex felt his scowl deepen even more.
His work phone buzzed once again and looking down after typing in his password Alex saw that it was Chase. He clicked his bosses' message and saw: PIR6 extraction team set in place, once you get to Italy the team will go, CS will be with you and you will pilot.
a/n; So I have been reading Alex Rider Fanfics and books again, and recently and had this idea and have been trying to figure out what to do with the story to get it beginning, I fear it might confuse because it sounds right when I think it, but wrong when I put it to paper/electronically.
Anyhow I hope you enjoyed, JIO
