A/N: A minor crossover with Naruto, a few references here and there, there would be no Naruto characters appearing, or would there? But really no major effects on the BNHA plot aside from Izuku gaining some basic powers from Kurama. A strong regeneration, improved senses, enhanced strength, speed. I'm working on an artwork for this, a kyuubi mode Izuku. He won't have whiskers but his freckles would stand out tho. Anyways enjoy, and if you have the time review.

Pairings undecided for now.

Edited some stuffs. Finally got back from a long hiatus. Chapter 2 will follow real soon.

"Kurama, wake up. You are needed."

It started in China. A golden glowing child was born, it was the first record of a quirk, a change in the human DNA that allows people to gain supernatural abilities. Soon many followed across the globe, reports of mutations massively grew, and the world was forced to change. However, the nature of man did not vanish, and soon power-hungry people rose and brought terror across the lands, causing pain and grief as they ravaged the lands with their powers. Righteous people however, weren't absent.

No, they were only empowered.

And the people who sought destruction and chaos were dubbed Villains, while the people who strived for peace and righteousness were known forever as Heroes.

This is the story of the greatest Hero of all time. Welcome to my Hero Academia!

"Stop it K-Kacchan!" A boy with spiky green hair with freckled cheeks stood in front of another boy who looked worse for wear, soot covered his shirt, and a few odd burn marks can be seen.

"Shut up Deku! You quirkless-loser, what are you gonna do huh? You can't stop me, you're useless!" The blond child exclaimed haughtily, his eyes gleamed menacingly, while his hands produced sparks.

At his back were his lackeys, laughing at Izuku's crying face as he stood his ground against his friend. His eyes, while filled with tears shone with determination and will. He would save the other boy at the expense of his body.

"Y-you don't have to do this Izuku! He'll hurt you too!" The boy at his back screamed as he sobbed.

"It's okay Gishei! Everything's okay, I am here!" Izuku smiled at the boy while his face was filled with tears. It was so pathetic looking but Gishei's heart was filled with admiration, here was a boy who had no quirk, and yet he would stand in front of the strongest kid in their class.

"What are you talking about Deku?! You? As if you could save him, you loser, now you've made me angry!" Izuku stood in defiance as he looked at the fuming blonde, who shook in fury.

"I didn't want to hurt you loser, but you've pushed me!" Izuku watched as his friend's open palm approached his face, he watched as it neared in slow motion. He saw the sparks forming, the heat emitting, and the smoke releasing from his friend's open palm.

It was his awakening, the first step in being the greatest hero of all time.

As it neared however, a voice pulled him from the current scenery to a dark sewer.

"Child" Izuku craned his neck and saw an emerging giant fox, it looked bigger than the tallest skyscrapers he had seen, mostly from All Might videos, which involved lots of rescuing situations and glass breaking, could All Might jump from ground to the tallest building in one leap? If so then how big would the damage from his jump.

"Quit your blabbering kid!" The fox grumbled, its face blank.

"Sorry Mr. Fox! It's just that I have so many questions, where are we? Why am I here? Who are you? And where's Kacchan?"

The fox looked amused for a moment, "I like you kid, you asked me "who", not "what" am I. To answer you, this is your mindscape, you are here because I'll be the first to congratulate you, I'm your wadd'ya call that? Quick?" The giant fox tilted its head, looking for the correct term.

"Quirk?" Izuku supplied, his eyes widening.

"Yes, yes, you're right. Anyways you're here because your subconscious brought you here because of extreme stress."

Izuku's eyes widened, "So cool! But why is it a sewer though? And why is it so dark? Can I change its appearance? And how big are you? What are your powers? And what about time, how long has it been? Has Kacchan's punch arrive yet? I am so dead when my mother sees me with a bruise!"

Kurama looked at his new host in curiosity and smiled, he was an interesting child for sure.

"First kid, why do you call him your friend? He has brought you much pain?"

"Kacchan is Kacchan, he's my friend, even though - even though he hurt me, I'll always be his friend! And because he is my friend I will save him! Even from himself!"

Kurama's eyes widened as he saw a silhouette behind the green haired kid, a familiar orange wearing yellow haired brat.

"I'll answer your questions later, you're still a weakling so you can't handle a lot of my power. Grow strong brat, we'll talk later, for now accept this little bit of power, it'll be enough to avoid any harm."

Kurama raised his fist which Izuku found weird, a fox with humanoid feature? Was this a dream? Maybe it was, maybe Kacchan had already knocked him out, and what he was experiencing was a weird dream. But he shook his head, dream or not, it was rude not to raise his fist in return. His mother raised him better than that.

Izuku smiled at the fox and bumped his fist against the large fist in front of him. Suddenly he felt a a rush of wild and pure power, and it felt like nothing he had felt like before.

"And brat, its Kurama."

Izuku's eyes widened as a white flash covered his vision, before seeing Kacchan's fist slam into his face.

It was weird.

It did not hurt.

Not a single ounce of pain.

Then the children at Bakugo's back gasped in surprise as the boy sprouted this warm bubbly orange aura around him. It felt heavy, almost evil, and the children decided it was evil, it made them pee their pants and cry.

Katsuki's face was one of surprise too, he had not expected this aura to come out. It covered Izuku's whole body and had what looked like rabbit ears and a wild tail at his back.

As sudden as it appeared, it vanished and Izuku collapsed with it.

That moment was the very first heroic action in his life. And the start of the story of the world's greatest Hero.

Izuku's mindscape

"Brat!" Izuku looked again at the giant fox.

"You're not a dream, and this is not an imagination, I-I have a quirk! I can be a hero!" Izuku cried giant tears which added to the flood in the sewers.

"Quit crying brat, you're raising the water level sheesh." Izuku sniffled out his apologies, then looked at the fox in awe.

"You're so cool Kurama! You lent me your power! Its so strong and so awesome!"

"I know right? I am pretty awesome? I could sweep away mountains and cause a tsunami with the flick of my tail, cause earthquakes with a mighty step, and all shall kneel before the might of the mighty Kurama!"

Izuku looked at Kurama in awe, his eyes filled with curiosity and gratitude.

"So cool!" Kurama nodded in agreement, he was the best being in the universe, and no blondie could ever deny that.

"I'd explain some things about me, or rather your quirk in general. Call me a sentient being, the Mighty Kyuubi, Kurama. Well as far as abilities go, I'm not exactly sure, but perhaps either any of the following, a high regeneration rate, increased hearing, sight, and smelling, or all of the above really."

Izuku looked awed by it all, all the children around him had gotten their quirks already months ago. His mother and he had made plans to go to a quirk doctor next week, but now he learned that he had a quirk!

"Enhanced strength too probably, but only while accessing my power. As it is right now, you're still too young to continuously use my power, you're still a child anyways, stay one for now." The fox spoke sagely, and his eyes looked to be reminiscing, weird, do sentient quirks have memories?

"Hey brat, why do you wanna be a hero so bad?" Kurama asked, his current bond with his newest host not yet set, so he cannot go through his memories.

"I-I want to be like All Might! He's the bestest hero!"

"And why? Because he's strong?" The fox huffed rolling his eyes.

"No, b-because he's smiling! I want to save people too! I want to save them with a smile, I want people to be calm because I am here! I will be a hero! The greatest Hero!" Izuku declared in all seriousness.

His red face made Kurama want to breakdown and coo, but he will never do that. That is impossible he is an immortal fox who is not affected by any cuteness…

'This kid, he sounds like you a lot Naruto.'

"I can acknowledge that brat, now scram, I have to sleep!" With a mighty huff, Izuku was pushed back and white covered his eyes.

His eyes slowly opened, a bit blurry but like his dream? Was that a dream? Or was it like a mindscape? Well whatever it was, everything was white. He felt a heavy pressure on his arm and quickly blinking to clear his sight, he saw his mom sleeping while holding his arm.

"M-mom?" Izuku croaked, throat felt dry.

"Izu? Baby?" Izuku heard his mother say groggily, he almost cried, but he stayed strong.

"I've got a quirk!" His mother cried now, "I know baby, I know!"

"I can be a hero!" Together the parent and child cried rivers. Inside Izuku's mindscape Kurama rolled his eyes.

"Great, another crybaby, just nice, of all the kids I would've been stuck to and it had to be this one. Nice."
