Annabeth was ready for spring break. To prove this, she invited all her friends over to a sleepover. Annabeth paced back and forth in her house. Yes, you heard that right, Annabeth's house. Her parents live in Virginia, and she made them let her move to New York. It was the best choice she ever made. It was in the more rural part of New York, on Long Island Sound. She was pacing and reading her list again and again. Thalia was already there. "So, Nico is coming? Annabeth shrugged. "He has a boyfriend, remember?"
Thalia shrugged and reached for another slice of pizza. As Annabeth slapped her hand away, she asked about the new neighbor. "He looks familiar. Ya know, kind of like Percy?" Annabeth gasped. "How dare you speak his name?" she said jokingly. Thalia shrugged "He's my cousin. He's my favorite cousin, but it's like he puts on a mask every time he goes to school." Annabeth grabbed a pillow and hit her.
"Come on! That's so cliche. But what about Jason?" Thalia took an M&M from the table and popped it in her mouth. "He's still a BIG FAT BIT-" Annabeth hit her with a pillow again. "The windows open! And stop eating all my snacks! I don't want to refill so quickly." Annabeth saw the time. "Oh frick! Help me set up," Thalia stood up and started laying blankets everywhere. "OH, work! wOrK! ITS KILLING ME!" Annabeth raised her pillow threateningly, and Thalia shut up. At the end, it looked like this: The large table was pushed to the side. Snacks were piled on it.
Skittles, M&Ms, popcorn, pizza, Chips, Fanta, Coke, Sprite, Apple Juice, Ice, Ice cream (In the fridge), cupcakes, cake, and cookies.
Blankets were piled on the ground. Annabeth made sure to lay the more worn, soft blankets on the top. Thalia made sure the pillows were carefully arranged. Annabeth got out board games and got her new Xbox 1. She got her old VCR. Annabeth and Thalia were laying on the bankets. Annabeth was so excited she started to squeak. In the middle of this, a knock was heard. "Honey, I'm home!" It was Bianca and Nico, standing in the doorway.
Annabeth smiled and checked two names off her list. "Welcome! And do not touch the food or I will rip all your hair out!" Annabeth smiled as Nico and Bianca scooched away from the snack table. Soon friendly faces appeared like saplings. Reyna, Piper, Hazel, Zia. Sadie, Rachel, Sam, and Alex. They all started talking and pigging out. Suddenly Nico raised his voice. "How about we play truth or dare?" Everyone stared at him and his face turned red. "Great idea!" Thalia said, saving her cousin from peeing his pants. Everyone quickly agreed.
Thalia started. "Annabeth. Invite the guy next door to our sleepover!" There were oohs and ahhs as Annabeth nodded and opened the door. She made her way to the next house and heard yelling, then a painful cry out. She gulped. She forced her hand to knock, and she reluctantly knocked on the door to the tune of the knock in Do You Want To Build a Snowman? She facepalmed.
She saw all the girls' faces plastered against the window. She waited for a little, then a young man with a touch of blood on his face answered the door. Annabeth was shocked. Not because of the blood, but because of this man's familiar jet black hair, the sea-green eyes she's seen only once before. "W-would you like to come to our sleepover?" The boy wiped the blood off, whipped up a smirk in no time, and taunted Annabeth. "Oh, you finally fell for me, huh, Annie?" The reason he knew her name was because her next-door neighbor was the one and only, Percy Jackson.
