Years later, Tarzan, now a 15 year old, returns to his retreat to find Tantor nosing around. He then finds out that even Terk is afraid of dastardly vipers. A green viper is plotting an attack on him and attempts to bite him out of his existence, till the ape boy kills him with a hunting knife.
