A/N: Someone asked if I'd be able to add this character a while ago. I didn't think I'd be able to, but I can.
Chapter IV
The Veteran
"Back to Omega? Seriously?" Ahsoka asked, annoyed.
"The Illusive Man said he struck a deal with a bounty hunter named Zaeed Massani. He's finishing a job on Omega so we'll rendezvous with him there." Shepard said.
"A bounty hunter? Cerberus has enough credits to hire half of the mercs in the Terminus. Why just this guy?" Ahsoka asked.
"I don't know."
"Zaeed Massani?"
"Who want's to know?" Zaeed asked.
"Charming." Ahsoka said.
"You must be Commander Shepard. I hear we have a galaxy to save." Zaeed said ignoring Ahsoka.
"I assume you've been briefed?" Shepard asked.
"I've done my homework. Cerberus sent me everything I needed to know."
"What's your relationship with Cerberus?"
"Easy. Cerberus is paying me a lot of money to help you on your mission. That's the long and short."
"Most mercs wouldn't do a suicide mission just for the pay."
"Most mercs don't get an offer like the one Cerberus sent me. This mission doesn't sound like good business. But… your Illusive Man can move a lot of credits."
"Good to have you Zaeed." Shepard said and shook his hand
"I assume the Illusive Man told you about our arrangement."
"No. I guess he decided to leave that out of the dossier."
"Good thing I asked. Picked up a mission a little while back just before I signed on with Cerberus. Thought you might be interested. You heard the name Vido Santiago?"
"Head of the 'Blue Suns'?" Ahsoka asked and Shepard and Zaeed looked at her.
"What? You think I spend 2 years killing Eclipse, Blue Suns, and Blood Pack and didn't study them?"
"Well," Zaeed began, "It seems he recently captured an Eldfell-Ashland refinery on Zorya and is using their workers for slave labor. The company wants me to deal with it."
"We can do that."
"Good, get it out of the way so we can focus on being big goddamn heroes. See you on the ship."
"You all right Ahsoka?" Shepard asked as they walked away out of earshot of Zaeed.
"I don't have the best experience with Bounty Hunters." She said and her eyes darkened and he could tell she was reminiscing. "But not all I met were bad so I'll give him a chance."
"Are you fucking insane!?" Ahsoka demanded of Zaeed when he, Shepard, and Garrus returned. "You started a fire in a fucking refinery filled with inoccent people!"
"Yeah so?" he asked.
The look in Ahsoka's was hostile.
"Ahsoka." Garrus said as a warning.
She clamed a little but looked Zaeed in the eye.
"You endager the squad or anyone else ona mission again and I'll kill you myself!"
A/N: I'm pretty sure some of you would have wanted to see the loyalty mission but I don't really like Zaeed's loyalty mission.
