Hello everyone to Chapter 2 ! This chapter should be much longer than the first chapter, I'm slowly easing into how stories should be written and trying to keep it making sense while I'm bursting with ideas ! I hope you all enjoy !
Chapter 2: An Unlikely Ally
Time seemed to slow down as I was speaking. Sweat running down my brow, this was possibly the hardest decision I have been faced with.
As I spoke I was hit with the realisation that if Fu is here that means by doing what Fu has said will also make me an enemy of the time patrol.
Not only would I need to fight difficult opponents like Freeza, cell, buu heck even vegeta when he goes Majin looked to be a threat. I'll also need to fight any time patroller who may come along, aslong as it's not any of the elit-. I shudder to think trunks himself coming to stop me there's no way I could fight him.
Before I realised it I had finished my request to Fu "A legendary saiyan."
Fu slowly raises and eyebrow while a devilish smirk appears on his face and he seemed much more serious now. "Now how interesting, I should state you're not allowed to change. Before we start your training I just have to say, if you manage to make this work and control your power I may have more propositions for you."
Fu's devilish grin disappeared and he went back to his giddy and excited self "alright time to get your training underway we only have a day to get you ready !"
Before I had a chance to ask what he meant I was blinded by another flash of light, then the realisation hit me.
Why, why would I choose legendary saiyan why didn't I think of the longer term I was too worried about being strong enough for the bigger threats. Legendary saiyans are known for not being able to control their power easily, often going into genocidal rampages. I hope I can get this power under control, if I'm lucky maybe I won't need to use the legendary form maybe I can control it that way.
"Here we go 'legendary saiyan' your training starts now"
Fu stated, I snapped out of my thoughts to see his fist rushing my face. Training had begun.
"Phew, you've gotten a lot better I'd say you'd be able to take on Freeza's full power form without transforming."
Fu remarked as he sat down, "Heh, I wouldn't be able to if it wasn't for you Fu, I had time to think while we trained and I really appreciate this opportunity it's a dream come true for me."
Fu showed a grin not devilish but a genuine grin "who knows depending how things turn out you might be able to stay" Fu states while giving a thumbs up.
Before I could say anything Fu jumped up and said "Alright it's time to go, you've been trained in all the basics you should be fine, this will be the last time you hear from me until the end of this little experiment. As I said earlier you'll be taken 3 days before raditz's arrival you'll have plenty of time to go over your plan." Fu started mumbling, too hard to hear "maybe even destroy earth yourself eh ?"
Before I could react Fu slashed his sword at me, I quickly threw my arms up and clamped my eyes shut.
Next, I felt the wind between my hands I slowly open my eyes and noticed I was at a familiar city. "This must be west city" I said to myself as I flew up to investigate my surroundings.
My eyes laid upon a huge building in the center of town, a giant C placed on the top "There's capsule corp, I wonder if bulma is in there working on inventions". I thought to myself and then immediately flew away from the city "I can't be seen now, it'll raise a lot of questions and potentially cause issues. I need to stay unnoticed for now." I mumbled to myself while looking for a good area to lay low. I fly for a while until I notice a cave, I land just before the cave and slowly walk in.
It's small could barely be called a cave, slowly I go to the back of the cave. It's dark and a lot of cobwebs layer the top of the cave, I sit down and think about a plan.
I'm gonna change history, there's no doubt about it just being here already has changed something down the line and I'll need to be ready for it. Time patrollers will see the same thing someone who doesn't belong changing history without realising it so I'm all in from the very beginning.
"Well might aswell try to make this the timeline of my dreams" I exclaimed while falling backwards to lay down.
But what to do ? I want raditz to live, I feel he never had the chance to really do good for the z fighters. I always hated it vegeta gets the chance cause what he's stronger ? Pfft there was no doubt in my mind raditz will live.
But how ? How can I work my way into keeping raditz alive, I could always wish him back with the dragon balls after the encounter but there's no way he will just turn a new leaf. He will just have more information to give vegeta and no real defenders.
It's going to be a long three days but I've got to make this work. The fatigue set in as my eyes shut refusing to open.
Three days passed by uneventfully but today was the day raditz was arriving.
"Argh I don't even know where he lands, in the manga he lands just outside of farmland in fields. But actually being here is totally different." I say scratching my head frustratingly "Wait, I can sense for his energy and estimate where he will land ! I didn't get much training in for sensing energy but if I remember it right I just need to concentrate and keep my energy in control" I quickly shut my eyes and concentrate, keeping my energy in control and making sure to not spike.
Nothing, am I even doing this right ? I thought to myself before feeling a presence, particularly an evil presence coming down fast "That has to be him, it looks like he will land over there". I quickly start flying to meet him when he lands.
It felt like hours when suddenly Raditz's pod came into view, "Aha finally !" I exclaimed getting up excited to finally meet raditz. His pod landed in the fields exploding into the ground leaving a huge crater. I'd be terrified but the feeling of excitement makes me giddy and I almost leap into the crater but compose myself and wait patiently.
Raditz slowly stands out of the pod, before he has a chance to turn on his scouter he locks eyes with me "You must be the native trash huh ? Foolish of you to stick around at my arrival. Though I must give you credit most would be running and screaming at the arrival of the great raditz, hehehe."
I calm myself, this is a serious situation and I can't let my excitement take control of the situation "Well raditz, I have information that might be important to you and vegeta. I am a fellow saiyan and I'd like to help you in anyway I can." Maybe I can just get raditz to leave, granted goku will not go to see king kai but I should be able to avoid vegeta coming to earth at all, help them and come back to train goku ready for anything that comes to earth.
"Wh-what?!?" Raditz said confused and in shock. "That's impossible there was only 4 of us left. What are the odds that another saiyan just happens to be on the planet when I'm looking for my little brother, explain yourself !" Raditz grew angry waiting for an answer.
Crap I thought to myself I gotta come up with something good otherwise I won't be able to save raditz. Why not just tell him I'm from the future, I mentally slap myself no way he'd fall for that. Wait I've got it ! "I was sent with Kakarot as a body guard, we had become split on landing and my pod was destroyed during the landing. Instead of clearing this planet I thought it was beneficial to lay low and keep an eye on Kakarot from afar while learning anything of this planet that could be of use for us."
Cmon buy it I thought to myself.
"Hmm, that would explain why we only saw one sos signal, you must've had an older model space pod unlucky for you, but if you happened to come across information worth keeping this planet thriving with life then maybe it was luck your pod broke." Raditz chuckles and looks around "So what is your name ?"
Crap, I can't just give him my name that'll be a dead giveaway and who knows what'll happen. Think cmon think. "M-my name ? K-kaba ?" Oh man I hope that's good enough it's just a lazy change of cabba but aslong as it sound the same it should be good enough. Each saiyan name is based on a vegetable so this should be good enough.
"Kaba huh ? Haven't heard of you before, no matter I'm more interested in knowing where Kakarot is and this information you've received."
As I was about to speak raditz cut me off "Where is your scouter ? Don't tell me that was damaged too."
"W-well you see I took it off before leaving planet vegeta and since the pod was destroyed...hehe" I rubbed the back of my head.
"Fool, utterly hopeless you better hope this information is good, Catch." Raditz said throwing an object towards me I grabbed it and inspected it. A metallic object with a red screen lays in my hand, I immediately put it over my ear and press the button. A foreign language appears in front of me I shouldn't be able to understand it but I can must be something Fu gave me, looking around I can see the power levels of everything around.
"You're lucky I had a spare, now what is this information ?" Raditz asked with his arms crossed tapping his finger on his arm.
"R-right, well there are things on this planet called Dragonballs, orbs that can grant you any wish you desire"
"Truly ? I wouldn't believe you but we aren't in normal circumstances so for now I'll take your word on that, you better not be lying to me or I will kill you. Now where is Kakarot ?" Raditz said starting to get restless.
"Last I saw he was heading over there" I point in the direction I believed Kame house might be "I could be wrong but that's the best place to start"
"Hmph, it's a start. Now let's find Kakarot we can bring him and yourself back to vegeta to take a planet we can sell for a high price. We can come back here for the balls later." Raditz starts lifting off the ground ready to fly in the direction I pointed out.
"What if he doesn't want to join, he seems to be used to this life I never showed myself to him as this was his mission." Knowing full well the answer already I asked anyway.
"It's simple, if he doesn't want to join I will give him a chance to reconsider if not we will kill him, I should kill him for not wiping out this planet from day one but luckily you have learned very interesting information and this has played out to our favour." Raditz says grinning.
I nod, as we start flying towards Kame house, how did it turn out like this ? Not only am I now working with raditz and told him about the dragon balls which vegeta definitely would've heard but we are currently going to goku to kill him. This might be harder than I thought, I let my excitement get the better of me.
Soon raditz's and my scouter come to life showing a high power level. "That must be him, he's close by lets go" raditz instructed as he turned to go towards the power levels location.
Wait I thought, that power level is piccolo no doubt about it. I quickly start trying to find power levels on my scouter desperately trying to find gokus power level, who knows with me being with raditz he might just kill piccolo or even worse make me kill him.
Before I can find him we arrive at piccolos location.
"Hello green man, you don't seem to be Kakarot but I'm sure with a power level like yours definitely not as strong as Kakarot but enough for a challenge for him you'd know where he is. So be good and tell me where he is now" Raditz demanded.
"Hmph, I don't know who this Kakarot is but you shouldn't underestimate me" piccolo said while firing a ki blast at raditz smiling. "You want some too ? I suggest you leave before you end up like your friend" piccolo said hoping he did damage. "Hehehe you call that a blast ?" Raditz said mockingly as the dust cleared showing that raditz took no damage.
Piccolo stood there in disbelief shaking "this is insane" piccolo uttered.
"Let me show you a real bla-" raditz was cut off when his scouter picked up a stronger power level. "Aha found you Kakarot, kaba let's go" raditz said speeding off.
I looked at piccolo who was still shaking our eyes locked I wanted to say sorry but I knew I had to keep this up otherwise everything would fall apart.
I turned and sped off after raditz, soon we will meet goku I hope I can make this plan work.
Here we are chapter 2 complete I wanted to do more but slow seems to be the best way to proceed. Next chapter we will see the conclusion to the plan. Will raditz live ? Or will something worse unfold due to these changes ?
