They had to wait for a while and Donna started to get worried again.

"I am fine, Donna. You're making me nervous with all that walking up down like a tiger trapped in a cage", he tried to calm her down but by then the cab had finally arrived.

The car ride had passed in comfortable silence as he was just looking outside the window while she checked on him and his physical state every few seconds just to make sure that he was doing fine. It was ridiculous how worried she was.

Usually, she kept her cool but when it came to him it was different. She couldn't stand the thought of him being hurt and even when they were fighting she just needed him to be okay, no matter what.

He had noticed that she wasn't feeling well and so he placed his hand on top hers and started caressing it to calm her down a bit.

"It's going to be fine, okay, there's no need for you to be worried", he said with a soothing tone in his voice.

"I believe things when I see them and to me you don't look fine", she gave back a little distracted by the sudden touch of his hand on top hers.

He payed the cab driver as she got out of the car to walk up to the hospital entrance. They were seated in the waiting room by the hospital staff and were told to fill out a form that was necessary for him to get medical care.

It was nearly empty and the light was slightly dimmed.

The form was mostly about his personal information like his relationship status, if he was married or not and emergency contacts. He ticked the box with "no" but a little smile occurred on his face when he wrote down Donna's name as his emergency contact.

She has been his for a very long time and as far as he could remember he was hers as well.

"You had plans for tonight, didn't you?", he said and looked to the right where she has been sitting with her legs crossed and eyes closed. She was tired. The entire day has been tiring and she had no opportunity to rest.

"Yes, but it's not important, Harvey-", she had opened her eyes and failed to suppress a yawn.

"Was it…?", he didn't dare to finish his sentence because usually they kept stuff like this private. They didn't want to know, it just made things awkward and it hurt all at the same time.

"Yes…", she didn't dare to say the word "date" either.

"I am sorry, Donna", he looked at her with his puppy dog eyes but she was still staring straight forward.

"It's fine, it probably wouldn't have worked out anyway, we both have way too much going on right now-", she gave back.

It was the truth, but work wasn't solely the reason for that.

"You look tired", he changed the topic, knowing that she didn't want to deepen that conversation.

"Happens at 11pm after twelve hours of work and taking a beaten up idiot to the hospital", she gave back with an ironic tone in her voice. His signature cheshire cat grin started to spread on his face but he felt bad for her at the same time.

"At least he's good looking", he smiled with a smug look on his face.

"You are delusional, you know that?", she had to laugh, he was ridiculous.

"Come here", he said and gestured towards his shoulder.

She hesitated a bit because she feared being so close to him but in the end she gave in and moved herself a little closer to him. The fabric of his grey sweater was soft against her skin and she could smell his intoxicating scent.

In addition to that she wrapped her arms around his and closed her eyes again. She was too tired. He moved a little closer as well and leaned to the right to rest his head on hers.

They've been so hesitant even though they wanted each other so much. Both of them were so used to keeping their usual distance.

Neither Donna nor Harvey said anything, treasuring the moment that was sure to be one of the only ones where they allowed themselves to be that to each other.

"Harvey Specter?", a nurse woke them up from their daydreaming and gestured him towards one of the examination rooms.

About twenty minutes later Donna heard steps from around the corner and she immediately knew that it was him.

It was ridiculous that by now she could recognize him by such small things and she was right. Harvey, followed by a young doctor, walked up to her.

"I thought you might want to know about your husbands physical state by a doctor", the young man started without noticing that their faces dropped as soon as he mouthed the word "husband".

"All over he's fine, we only had to stitch up the wound on the cheekbone and the eyebrow but it would be good to monitor him during the night and make sure he gets enough rest. You're probably going to be there anyway but I just wanted to make sure", he continued, completely unbothered by the clueless looks on both on their faces.

"Sure-", was the only thing Donna could say but the doctor had already moved around, leaving them alone.

"Did he…?", his brows were still furrowed and he was thrown off the tracks by the comment referring to him as Donna's husband.

"I think he did…", she didn't quite know what to say.

It was the second time this evening she was at a complete loss of words.

"Does that mean…?, he didn't know how to say it either.

"That I need to stay with you for the night…? Doctors orders I guess-", she finished his questioning sentence, trying to sound easy going even though that was far from how she was really feeling.
