Chapter Two – Where's Draco

Harry awoke the next morning alone in his room that he shared with Draco. Unlike the rest of the school dorms, Slytherin dorms are split into separate rooms with two students per room. They didn't get to choose their rooms or roommates; Hogwarts chose them and the students found out when they arrived. The rest of the students thought that the boys had been able to bewitch the castle as they were lucky enough to get to share. That wasn't the case. They just got lucky.

Harry stood up and walked over to Draco's bed. He wasn't there, 'Strange' He thought. 'Surely he didn't get up already. It would have been really late by the time he got back. Shaking it out of his mind he headed towards the showers. Upon entering Harry seen something he really could have done without. "Fuck sake Blaise. Can't you and Crabbe do that elsewhere." Harry said trying to get the vision he'd just seen out of his head. It wasn't anything new that he'd just seen. Blaise and Vincent had come out as gay a few weeks before the end of last year, but Harry really didn't want to see them doing dirty things in the showers. "Sorry Haz. And to answer your question, no not really. You see unlike some we weren't given the chance to share with our boyfriends." Blaise said to Harry trying to hide the bitterness in his voice. "Me and Draco are not boyfriends and I'm sorry you didn't get to stay with your boyfriend. Talking of Draco have you seen him at all?" The boys shook their head and went back to their make out session. Harry hurried a quick shower then headed to the common room to check the notice board before breakfast.

Pinned up on the board was a brand new set of curfew rules that Harry wasn't too sure he agreed with.

Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Emergency Rules

Slytherin House

Rule One – All students are to move around the school in the houses and must be accompanied by a prefect.

Rule Two – All Quidditch practice sessions are to take place within the hours of ten am and 2 pm.

Rule Three – The use of magic in corridors will only be allowed in a dangerous situation.

Rule Four – All students must be in their common rooms by six thirty pm every day with no exceptions.

These rules are not optional. Anyone in Slytherin House caught breaking these rules will find themselves answering to Professor Snape.

The last part had clearly been added to the list by Professor Snape as it was hand written. Shrugging his shoulders and with a rumble of his stomach, Harry headed down to the great hall.

"Mr. Potter. I'm just going to take a s shot in the dark and say you haven't read the new rules I have placed up on the notice board this morning?" Snape asked as he walked closer to the younger wizard. "No sir, I-I haven't." Harry stuttered. He wasn't sure why he did. He had a very good relationship with the potions master thanks to his mother. Bellatrix had been going through a tough time after the war and had turned to Snape for moral support. Not only was he there for his mother when she needed him he was also Draco's godfather so that helped. "Well Potter don't let me see you breaking them again. I must admit I'm glad I caught you this morning. I need to speak to you in private. I have spoken to Professor Sprout and I will come and collect you after breakfast for a chat." And with that the potions master headed towards the common room.

By the time Harry actually made it to the Great Hall he was absolutely starving. He took his normal seat at the Slytherin table. "Where was Draco?" Harry muttered to himself, getting slightly worried about him. The food along Slytherins table look exquisite. Sausages, bacon, hash browns and eggs galore all pleasantly laid out with students neatly placing food upon their plates. Harry grabbed some breakfast items and placed them on his plate. As he went to grab a fried egg his attention was taken by Crabbe sitting down in front of him. "So, finally put Blaise down then?" Harry asked playfully. Crabbe just looked at him and gave him a very unimpressed look. "Funny. Where's Draco?" Harry did enjoy winding Crabbe up. Shrugging his shoulders, he got back to placing the fried egg that had been balancing on the spatula through their brief conversation.

Breakfast ended and the students started piling into the entrance hall to meet their house prefects so they could head off to their first lesson. All but Harry who was walking towards a waiting Professor Snape. "Do hurry Harry I don't have all day and this is quite urgent." Those words worried Harry. Snape only called Harry by his first name when there was something wrong. Upon entering the teachers office, Harry took a seat at the desk as Snape sat in his chair behind the desk. "Now Harry, I'm slightly concerned about Draco. It was reported last night that he didn't return from the forbidden forest last night with Hagrid. I fear something may have happened but I couldn't get two words out of the half giant. He's currently fearing for his job." Harrys heart fell to the pit of his stomach. "The blubbering fool just said that Draco must have run off." Snape finished explaining everything and Harry sat shocked. "Sir, what are we going to do? We need to find him as soon as possible." Harry was now scared for his friend. He remembered wondering into the forest back in his first year and it wasn't a place he wanted to go back too.

Snape stood up and grabbed his outside cloak walking towards the door. "Harry I must ask something of you that I'd never ask any other student. I must ask that you accompany me into the forest now to try and find him. I fear he is in danger." Harry nodded as he stood up and followed his head of house out of the office. The two stopped at the Slytherin common room so Harry could pick up some warmer robes then headed out to the entrance of the forbidden forest where Hagrid and Professor Dumbledore stood.

"Good morning Severus." Dumbledore said as they approached the headmaster. "Oh. Harry. Why are you here?" Before he could answer Snape spoke up. "Headmaster I have asked Mr Potter to accompany me on this little quest. As he is Mr Malfoys best friend, I believe that he may be of help." Dumbledore's face scrunched up in thought as though he was over thinking something. His mind started to drift to what happened in that forest with Draco. Was he hurt? Did he try running away? There were so many questions going through his head. All he wanted to do was find his friend.

"Well Severus, I can't say I agree with you taking a student into the forest but I guess your reasons are valid. Just be careful. The last thing I want is another student being attacked." With those words from the headmaster pulling the boy from his thoughts the pair entered the forest.

Even in the daytime the forest looks positively terrifying. It wasn't any lighter as the light struggled to break through the branches of the trees. "Keep close Harry." Was the last thing the potions master said before they started the search. They were a go twenty minutes in when Snape stopped in his tracks. Bending down he picked up what looked to be a strip of fabric. "He's been here Harry" Snape said passing the fabric to Harry. The fabric was torn but was clearly part of a Slytherin tie. "This is what we are going to do. Down there is a clearing. I want you to go down and search that and I'll search this side. If anything happens fire red sparks from your wand and I'll come and get you." Harry couldn't deny the thought of being left deep in the forest scared the shit out of him, but he trusted his teacher. "You can do it. I promise I won't be long. Stay safe Harry." And with that the potions master went off in the other direction.

Pushing the branches out of the way, Harry was stopped in his tracks when he seen Draco's bag sprawled on the ground. He picked it up and slung it over his shoulder before picking up the contents that had fallen out. He picked up the books and looked through them. Draco Malfoy, Potions was the first book he picked up. Placing it in the bag he looked at the next book. Diary was written on the front on silver lettering. Instead of placing the book into Draco's bag, Harry placed it into his own. He knew Draco would kill him for looking at it but he also didn't want it getting lost should something happen. Standing up he continued walking towards the clearing.

Pushing the final branch out of the way hopes were high that Draco would be there. Those hopes were shattered instantly as all that was there was a large pool of blood. Fresh blood. "D-D-Draco? Draco?" Harry called hoping for an answer but there wasn't one. He decided he would sit down against the tree stump in the centre. 'Where are you buddy?' he thought as he sat. Taking a closer look at the ground covered in blood and was shocked to see a shoe sitting there as if someone had been pulled from it. Picking it up for closer inspection, Harrys heart sank even further. It was Draco's. Harry took a sniff at the shoe. "Yup. Deffo Draco's" Harry proclaimed. He knew that smell anywhere. Harry went to place the but he froze as he heard what could only be described as coughing. Turning around he headed towards the sound, hoping it would bring good news.

Rounding another tree there was a clear track that looked as though someone had been dragged through the bushes into the clearing. Harry followed and his heart jumped when he seen the figure of a boy on his back coughing and choking. He ran down and landed next to the boy as tears started to stream from his eyes. "DRACO. Come on mate cough it up pall." Harry patted the blondes back as he pulled his wand from his pocket. Firing the sparks from his wand Harry looked back to Draco. "H-H-Harry? I-is that y-you?" Draco stuttered. "Yes mate. It's me. Don't move Snape will be here any second." Harry lead down next to Draco trying to keep him warm. He was so cold. He also seemed paler than usual. If Draco could get any paler.

They laid there for a few minutes before Draco started to struggle. He pushed Harry down against the grass laying his weight on top of the black-haired boy. Thinking nothing of it Harry wrapped his arms around the other boys waist. They remained there for a few more minutes before Harry felt a sharp pain in his neck. "OUCH! Draco did you just bite my neck?" Draco sat up and looking like he had a bit more energy. "S-sorry Haz. I didn't mean to." Draco looked scared. He knew what he had done. He knew he had bitten his best friend but couldn't understand why. He was very confused. How did he end up here and why are his teeth sharper? "Harry. Why are we in the forest." Harry couldn't answer as he felt very dizzy. The last thing he saw was the billowing robes of Snapes robes before passing out.

"HARRY!" Draco shouted. "Draco what happened to you and what's happened to Harry?" The boy told Severus everything that had happened and the potions masters face drained of all its colour. "Why did you bite him Draco?" Draco couldn't answer as he wasn't sure himself. "Right then. Grab hold of him Draco; we need to see the headmaster urgently." Draco picked Harry up and felt a spark run through him. 'What was that?' He thought.

Here is chapter 2 guys. This story will be very fluffy and, in the future, may have scenes of smut in it I'm still not too sure how its going to pan out.

Thanks for reading.
