The next morning -well afternoon-, both Blaine and Sam got into Sam's car and drove back to Sam's house. As soon as the front door opened Sam's mom called out "Sam, honey, is that you?"

"Yeah it's me mom, I slept over at Blaine's last night" Sam called out as they entered the living room together.

"Oh, hi Blaine! I wasn't expecting to see you! How have you been?"

"I'm good Mrs. Evans thanks for asking."

"Sammy, what's wrong, you look like you're about to cry, are you okay?" Mrs. Evans asked.

"Yeah I'm fine, just tired I guess."

"Oh Sammy! I have great news! You know our friends the Hutchersons?" Sam nodded along with her but didn't understand why they were involved in this great news, he barely knew them. "Well they have a daughter who is about your age, Brenda, and I've set the two of you up!" She said with a smile.

Sam looked back at her with disbelief. He had only ever met Brenda once when they were like 8. "No, mom, I don't want to go out with Brenda Hutcherson. I'm sure she's nice but I don't even know her."

"So, since Brittany dumped you you haven't been dating anyone else and I wanted to help. Brenda is such a sweet girl."

Blaine was staring from Sam to his mother back to Sam in disbelief. This was going to make the whole coming out thing a lot harder.

"What if I am seeing someone else?" Sam said reluctantly. He figured dipping a toe in the water was better than just cannonballing right in.

"And who would that be then?" Mrs. Evans said, figuring Sam was just trying to make up a lie to get out of going out with Brenda.

Sam looked to Blaine, seated next to him, for reassurance. Blaine gave a little nod of his head and Sam took a deep breath, this moment could change his life for the better, or for the worse. "Mom, I'm bisexual and I'm in love with another boy. There I finally said it." Sam pushed out with more confidence than even he was expecting.

In love, Blaine thought, Sam Evans is in love with me?

"You're messing with me, right? Please tell me that you are messing with me." Mrs. Evans began to cry.

"No, mom I'm not messing with you, okay. This is who I am." Sam's eyes began to water, knowing that this was not going to go the way he had hoped.

Just at that moment, Mr. Evans had gotten home from work. He walked into the living room to see his wife angry and in tears and his son crying as well. "What the hell is going on in here!" He looked to his wife for an answer.

"Sam is gay, Richard, and he's dating another guy."

"I'm not gay, im bi, and yeah I'm dating a boy, so what?" Sam managed through his tears. He looked to his dad for hope, any hope of him being supportive in any way.

"Gay, bi, whatever, its all a sin." He stomped over to where Sam was seated, face in his hands. "Look at me Sam." When Sam didn't move he yelled louder, "LOOK AT ME!"

"What dad?" Sam said as he looked him dead in the eye.

"You don't get to call me that anymore. You have 15 minutes. Pack your things and leave. I don't care where you go, just don't come back until you're fixed."

Sam and Blaine could not believe what they were hearing. Blaine had barely said a word since they arrived and he thought now was a good time to start talking.

"You can't talk to him that way." Blaine shouted

"Blaine, don't" Sam looked at him through teary eyes and shook his head.

Ignoring Sam's wishes, Blaine turned back to the parents. "Even though Sam is bi, he's still the same person he was, nothing about that is going to change. I get if you are unfamiliar with it, but please, don't throw away all chances at a relationship with your son because he is a really awesome guy and he deserves to be loved and cared for."

"You only have 13 and a half minutes now. Get going."

Sam got up and rushed to his room, grabbing the biggest bag he could find and shoving everything in it that he could. He grabbed his cash jar which contained only $57 in birthday and Christmas money and ran back out into the living room.

While Sam was packing, Blaine continued trying to get the parents to come around.

"Do you have any idea who this boyfriend of Sam's is?" Mr. Evans asked Blaine. Could he really be that oblivious.

"Umm… yeah it's me…"

That really sent them over the edge. Mrs. Evans began yelling down the hall to the closed door of Sam's room things like: "you brought your boyfriend into our house" "you are disgusting" while Mr. Evans then began ripping into Blaine. "Wait, are you gay? Do your parents know? I want to talk to them!"

"Yeah I am and my parents took the news pretty well when I told them, quite the opposite of how you guys are taking it now I guess." Without waiting for a response Blaine ran into Sam's room and gave him a huge hug and kiss. They both heard the timer go off on Mr. Evans's phone. "Ok times up. Get out. NOW." The two boys ran out and hopped in Sam's car. Blaine drove this time seeing as Sam was too shaken up to do anything right now all the way back to Blaine's house.
