HPFC: 5 Drabbles Comp (curtain call)
I apologise for the word count; this was a rather difficult prompt to incorporate.
The Ministry Ball is every bit as chaotic as she expected it to be and then some. Her family Apparated, deeming themselves too good to enter through a fireplace. The Minister personally greets them when they enter, showing them to their table and making small talk with her parents before busily bustling away. Everything is a blur of light and sound until Rabastan sneaks over to her table when both sets of parents aren't watching.
"May I have this dance?' he says, as the music begins. She's nervous, but nods and takes his hand as he leads her onto the dance floor. She's wearing the dress he gave her, and she can tell by his smile that he notices. They dance for a blissful eternity, and all she can feel is his hand on her waist and hers on his and the crowd cheering as they're the last ones left dancing. It's a curtain call for both of them.
In more ways than one.
