Zira roared as she went to pin down the hyenas. Shenzi's clan screamed in horror with eyes widened and they ran away while the flames got worse. Just then, Shenzi, Ed and the hyenas heard Banzai scream Shenzi's name.
"Shenzi, the flame is getting worse! We gotta get out of here!" one clan member called.
"Follow me! We have to find Banzai first!" Shenzi called back. Then she, Ed and the hyenas ran to find Banzai.
The smoke grew bigger, and the heat of the fire was getting hotter and hotter. Shenzi, Ed and the hyenas following the two of them called anxiously for their missing friend.
"Banzai! Banzai, where are you?" Shenzi shouted.
Ed let out a yelp of surprise and horror as he saw Zira walking closer to a hyena, which was their friend. The hyenas gasped in horror.
"Leave him alone!" Shenzi growled. Zira just scoffed and glared at them.
"Traitors! You killed my precious Scar and here comes your punishment! This is for you, Scar!" The lioness grinned.
She slashed Banzai on the cheek and he hissed in pain.
"No!" Shenzi cried. Ed gulped harder in horror.
Zira pinned Banzai to the ground. She then lower her claws deep down his chest
"What have you done to my love Scar?!" Zira snarled. Banzai tried to breath and fight for life as he answered her question.
"I'll rather die then tell you..." he whispered.
Zira sank her claws into his chest and left him to bleed out.
"As you wish...!" she sneered at him.
Shenzi, Ed and the hyenas stared in horror at the whole sight and ran away in fear as Zira took chase on them as well.
"Our hiding spot is this way!" Shenzi called to her clan. The hyenas followed Shenzi and Ed behind a boulder. Zira sniffed around to find the hyena poachers.
"Slobbering, mangy, stupid poachers..." Zira murmured to herself.
You are avenged, my love, she thought, and then she left the Pride Lands with her pride, as an exile to the Outlands.
Shenzi, Ed and the hyenas sighed in relief, but fear shot through them.
"Everyone, we have to find Banzai immediately! Come on!" she called.
The hyenas went out of the boulder and sniffed the blood, coming from far away. They followed it, as they were led to a motionless body of a wounded hyena.
Shenzi stood there with Ed and the hyenas, shuddering.
