In the Demon Fortress, room 201 of the 50 year old wooden structure apartment "Vila Rosa Sasazuka", a six tatami room, the residents were enjoying the weekend lazing out.

Suzuno also joined them to share her Ente Islan soup recipe with Ashiya, which was considered a delicacy in the western continent. Suddenly, there were footsteps heard and a slight knock on the front door.

"Oh we were not expecting anyone to come over for lunch today. Could it be Sasaki-san?", Ashiya got up to open the door.

"Hey there, let me in", it was Emi.

"Ugh, not even leaving out the weekends! Emi, don't you have anything planned with your work buddies?", Maou reacted immediately.

"Like I don't have anything better to do! It's Alas Ramus, she has been crying since 3 in the morning for Papa. She finally fell asleep some time back", Emi replied.

Looking closely, Emi did seem pretty exhausted.

Maou looked at alas=ramus and she immediately held her arms towards him, 'Papa! I missed you!"

"Aw, Papa missed you too!"

Maou held her from Emi's hands, and hugged her, then he walked inside allowing Emi to come as well.

Then he stopped for a while when he noticed Emi holding a plastic bag.

"Eh? what is that? "

" e-eh, thats... " like suddenly remember the reason why she was coming, Emi flustered a little while tried to look away.

" u-uh you see... "

" Papa! "

" Eh? " but before Emi could continue, Alas suddenly shouted making the two of them look down to her face.

" Mama and Papa meal together!" Alas=Ramus chanted delightfully.

And instantly are frozen on spot.

" Ah... "

Maou glanced at Emi and then smirked to her while she tried to look away from his gaze

" S-shut up! its not like I have a choice anyway... "

before Emi can continue her weak rebuke, Maou only laugh while sitting down and putting Alas=Ramus to his lap.

"yeah yeah, anyway I can't say no to a free meal, beside it was very rare for us to eati together, right? Alas=Ramus? "

" Uwoh! "

Alas=ramus raise her tiny palm excitedly when she saw her Papa smile.

"... sigh."

Emi who watching them cant be helped but smile a little. After letting out a exhausted breath, she walked slowly to the kitchen for preparing everything, that was when she began to wash vegetables. All of a sudden she felt an all to familiar warm aura from behind her that can belong to one person, Maou. She moved a little in reflect but hes standing beside her to reach a bowl.

"W-what are you doing? "

" What? I am helping you"

"huh? Its fine, I don't need-"

"You seems exhausted earlier, and you've been looking after Alas=Ramus as she kept you awake all night yesterday, so I am helping you".

Ashiya who was still at the door turned to Suzano who was at the kotatsu table. She replied Ashiya stare with a confused look. Then they both turned to Emi and Maou. Both of them seem to be forgetting about the other residents in the demon fortress as they are looking at each other with crimison faces Maou stirred the veggies in the pan.

"Looshifer come play" Alas=ramus called for lucifer while knocking on the closet door. Lucifer opened the door and picked up Alas=Ramus to give her a piggyback ride.

Lucifer then look at Maou and Emi with his head tilted.

"What? Those two playing husband and wife now?", He asked directing the question to Ashiya and Suzano. They glared at Lucifer and didn't bother answering him.

Just there combined stares alone equals the dark feeling of a terrifying aura around them.

"Haha... forget I said anything" Luicfer ushered quickly in a small voice and obediently gave his attention to Alas Ramus.

Of course such a statement luckily wasn't noticed by Maou and Emi since they seemed at comfort falling into ease in the kitchen, Almost as if they fell in sync with each other which was odd for the two.

Maou glanced at Emi as he noticed her pause in motion. She seemed stuck on doing a skill that he knew how to do only because Ashiya taught him once, as Maou isn't as capable when compared to Emi in the kitchen prepping meals.

He sidled up to Emi and put his larger hands over Emi's smaller, delicate hands.

"Huh!" Emi exclained in shock or maybe rather from her delayed reaction, she tried turning around while in Maou's embrace only to meet his chest again and looked up at Maou with a blushing face.

"Idiot, I was trying to help you" , The demon king said and started moving his hands that were on top of her hands to achieve the skill she failed doing while Emi had a heavy blush coated on her face.

After Maou had finished helping her, Emi began a mini tantrum, focusing her anger towards the food she was preparing. "Whoa! Take it easy Emi" Maou with a worried tone thinking about his free meal. "It's your fault for butting in on others people's business " Emi shout it with a nervous/angry voice. Maou just sighs and says "Whatever you say... ''Hero". After the mini commotion, meals were done and ready to eat.

Finally the meal was on table and so is everyone, Maou and Emi both seem to be in a foul mood after that little fiasco earlier, neither of them were ready to admit that they actually like the presence of other.

The tension between them didn't go unnoticed by Ashiya, Lucifer and Suzano but Lucifer being the loud mouth blurted "to think these two are actually dating, I thought they would be okay with each other for now! What a shame!"

Maou and Emi both looked at him angrily and shouted

"SHUT UP'
