"You look pretty today! Whats got you looking so dolled up?"

Maou said as Emi entered Mgronald, causing Emi to blush. It was an employee day today, they can dress up in what ever they want, this was a way to encourage the workers for their hard work and giving them a day to dress up in whatever they want.

"Nothing I just thought that today I should dress up nicely since its employee day and will make me look presentable in-front of customers, unlike you! Look at you Mr I buy stuff from Uniclo"

"What do you know that stuff is great! And for your information this was not from Uniclo! Its something we got when I went shopping with Ashiya yesterday". Maou said as he struck his tongue out at Emi.

"Whatever I don't have time for this!" As she walked past him, getting ready for his shift, ready to welcome the hoards of customers.

Emi was getting some fries for herself for lunch, then she heard Maou's voice,

"Hey Emi , you wanna go have some lunch? It's almost my break time and I brought some homemade food", Maou said with a hungry look on his face as

"Uhh ...?", Emi with a timid tone. She didn't want Maou to know that she was really hungry, its her pride we are talking about, lunch with a devil, what a disgrace! She was going to say no but her stomach growled, which caused Maou to smirk, She also missed breakfast because she was in such a hurry. "Ok fine!" She gave in and they went and grab a table to have lunch.

Emi walked alongside Maou with her fries, making sure to keep the same pace as they settled across from each other.

She found it odd that Maou would share his lunch with her and was being oddly kind, abit too kind today.

Emi and Maou said there thanks before diving into the meal.

"Ashiya did well making this meal today!" Emi expressed in bliss enjoying the food every bite.

"Did you expect any less from my number one Demon general?" suggestively Maou snidely commented.

"Nothing of that sort" retorted Emi quickly.

The same thought must have ran through both of there minds because there hands touched to reach for the same thing.

Emi blushed out of shock which then turned to one of shyness, she immediately pulled her hand back to herself.

Maou simply smiled and took the food that led to both of there hands touching and took Emi's hand and caved it into his, putting the food in her palm.

"Here since you seem to be hungry today, you missed breakfast right?" Maou looked at her and smiled sheepishly at her.

"how did he know? was i that obvious? panicked Emi as thoughts were racing about her actions.

"You shouldn't skip breakfast you know? it would effect how efficient you are at work!" Maou said mid sentence of eating.

Emi blushed harder who knew she would be getting scolded by the Demon King today for taking care of her health.

Emi felt ashamed to be discovered by Maou, she always tried to keep her carelessness or problems to herself, but Maou always ended up discovering her in some way as if she were an open book for him.

Although he was behaving nicer than normal earlier today, had something good happened to him to behave like this? It seemed strange to him, but it was still pretty for her when he behaved like that towards her ...

Cute?

Emi blushed again and tried to get that thought out of her head, which caught the attention of the boy in front of her who smiled to see the girl's reaction.

"You know Emi, you're so stoic or deadpan most of the time but when you get flustered your face lights up red like a beacon and its so cute" Maou said laughing.

Emi blushed even more but was annoyed at him as-well for saying that, "oh shut it you!" Throwing a french fry at him that she got earlier with the food Maou was sharing with her.

She smiled to herself. She loved having these heartwarming moments with him.

Not too long ago, Emi Yusa, the Hero, confessed to Sadao Maou, the Demon King from Ente Isla, that she wanted to know him better by spending more time with him. Ever since then, the former arch-enemies found themselves hanging out much more frequently than usual.

What was I thinking saying something like that...Emi thought, that in front of everyone ughhh ,she felt mortified thinking back.

But saying that was liberating in a way, as she finally came to terms with her feelings and opened up. As for the Demon King, he has always been inclusive of everyone around him. But then, why does she get the feeling he treats her differently - then she remembered something

"Demon King, I uh.. do you think you can maybe spend some time today with Alas Ramus? She has been asking for you ever since she saw some kids in the park playing ball with their father. I know you're busy though.."

"Oh I might not be able to make it today, Iwaki-san asked me to fill in for Kawacchi for this evening, so...", Maou felt guilty for not spending much time with his *family*, he added, "If it's okay, I can play with her tonight..."

"Wh-whaat was t-that?", Emi felt her face heat up.

"Uhh, I-I meant in case you are planning to stay over at Suzuno's... maybe I can take some time out for Alas Ramus", Maou tried to explain.

"Ah.. aah, okay.. okay sure, I guess I can do that", Emi replied hastily.

She let out a huge sigh in a second as she remembered she had already made plans to meet Maki and Rika. Of course she remembered this, but then, why did she not think twice when asked.

The day of Alas Ramus visit was hectic for Emi. She couldn't decide what to do until a call came up and it is from Rika

"Hello? Emi ?"

"Rika? Is something wrong?"

"Emi... I know we're going out later on can we cancel it for today?" Rika said in a shy-bit of a tone.

"Y-yeah it's fine, did something happen?"

"N-No nothing happened, I just crossed path with... Aceil and help him with shopping"] Emi couldn't help but let out a chuckle.

"Ohh really?, I don't mind it at all, have fun~" Emi smirked and said in a playful voice.

Rika understood what Emi's intention is and tried to reason out but Emi didn't buy it and just ended the call laughing at her best friend antics.

"I guess we're going to have fun today Alas"

Unbeknown by Emi she couldn't help but feel excited to visit Maou, she was looking forward to it.
