Chapter 4.0 Dance under the frozen moon/ Kayn Gaiden 2B

Chapter 4.0 Summary: As Kayn and Sylvannas' battle rages on, the young ninja quickly learns that he's horribly outclassed. How he'd find himself out of this situation remains to be determined.

"Don't let anyone ever tell ya can't dream or ya dreams are too unrealistic, dream'as. Dream so big that it drives you crazy,"

Kayn vs Sylvannas

The sound of metal and magic echoed loudly through the rain filled night. Full moon, illuminating the abandoned monastery below.

The hybrid was desperately trying to avoid the buffet of arrows fired his way as he wall ran and manipulated his scythe on pillars to swing himself outside of the Banshee Queens firing range as he passed each one. Sylvannas wouldn't let up however. While he was doing a decent job avoiding most of them, they were nearing his flesh with each one she fired as she got closer. The undead elf then kicked off one of the pillars in a dazzling moonsault before going into her wraith like banshee form, rocketing forward and catching the Rhaast fused Kayn in midair. She had him in a tight grip as if he was in suspended animation and held by impenetrable invisible force. She smirked at his futile attempts to get free and in a flash she switched back to her corporeal form and with something that was akin to an aerial drop kick, she bulldozed him away like a soccer ball.

The force from the kick was phenomenal as he flew to the center and on a head on collision course for a set of chairs. He dared his left eye of Rhaast open as he saw where he was heading. With a brief struggle, he managed to orient himself and angle himself into a full backflip before landing in a crouch, completely decimating the chairs below him that caused him to wince from the impact. He looked up to see the Banshee Queen floating. Shining with the black, dark purple cloak she wore before and with ethereal bat like wings that jutted out from her sides that were the same color. Both of her eyes were a light phantasmal umbral color as she stared down at him with a blank expression. While to the untrained eye, they wouldn't be able to determine what was going on behind the mask she wore but to Kayn and Rhaast, there was no mistaking the bloodlust that she exuded.

"You're good at running away, I'll give you that much," she said provocatively and merely getting a grunt out of him.

The red pupilless eyes of the hybrid narrowed in alarm as he watched Sylvannas weave her hands in all sorts of bizarre motions, abyssal magic energy making a trail as she continued the strange motions. His eyes got wider as time went on. He could feel the magical pressure that she was gathering around her. While it would have been the smart thing to try and stop whatever she was doing, for one thing? She was way too high up and there was nothing for him to maneuver on to reach her. Two, the mess your pants type of power she was outputting was keeping him from getting close. A large vacuum of wind pilfered the area, causing him to dig his scythe into the ground to keep him from being blown away. She had her legs crossed together with her arm pointed near her thigh, while the other was in the air, open palmed.

"LETS SEE YOU TRY TO DODGE THIS ONE!" she yelled in a voice that wasn't hers as she begun to chant the incantation she was preparing. "Oh denizens of the great planes of the abyss, hear your queens call!" she started as the area around them became a black and white.

*hoooooooOOOOOOOOOOOON* was the sound of the spell as it continued to grow in power.

"I call upon thee to punish o gravest of blasphemers! Now….come forth my pets, come and send this damned soul to everlasting OBLIVION!" she cried out as the spherical black white orb, consuming her hands grew to obese proportions, primed to burst. Kayn and Rhaast could only sit there in awed silence at the ludicrous magical power she was ushering. It made no sense to them where this person was getting this much magical power from. Just how much of the Noose Verse did she tap into? They nearly jumped out of their skin at what happened next.

The End, Magical explosion scene Theme/ (Tenchi Muyo OST - Kagato Toujo: Enter Kagato( watch?v=BVPUCEOwrbQ)

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAA!" she bellowed out psychotically before shouting.

"CRY HAVOC!" with shaking akin to an earthquake that reverberated around the entire area and an explosion similar to a miniature nuke, dozens upon dozens of black shaped blobs with huge saucer like white dots for eyes, exploded out of the spherical energy. Humanity Sprites, that made echoing screams of the damned.

It was her extreme magic, Soul Dredge. Derived from the Noose Verse's abyssal planes themselves.

"MUROROKU, MOVE!" Rhaast screamed. "DON'T LET THOSE TOUCH YOU!" he shouted again.

Kayn didn't need to be told twice. Scythe outstretched, he sprinted forward, smokey grey afterimages following behind him before stopping as the humanity sprites had him trapped and began circling around him. He was on a long red carpet and sandwiched between the rectangular chairs that made up the church. He spun his scythe skillfully behind his hip as he walked in a circle. The sprites were making all sorts of movements as they weaved in and out from around him. While they were mindless, they seemed to at least be aware that he was there. Whether Sylvannas was the one controlling them or if they were autonomous enough to do simple things, he'd never know as none of them would give him time to contemplate it as one blasted straight for him. Tilting his scythe upside down, he made an arcing slice, splitting the black blob in two and it dissipating into nothingness. More were quick to join the fray as he was forced to lean, duck and make all sorts of crazy acrobatic movements to avoid being touched by the sprites while hacking any that got close to particles. He wouldn't lie, these things were making him work for it and as the ritual of steel on spirits carried on, the harder it became to manage them. It seemed like there was no end to them.

Out of nowhere Sylvannas decided to join in on the dance of death again, entering with a slide then a kick aimed for his face, prompting him to lean his face to the side with it, making a grazing scrape on the hybrid's cheek causing black blood to drip from it. The two would enter a vortex of combat. She would make heavy use of bow trick shots, shooting at weird angles to catch him off guard while switching to melee at a moments notice with claw like swipes and whip like kicks. They went on like this for awhile with he, blocking with his hefty weapon before trading off whenever it seemed like there was an opening but it was doing no good. Whether it was twirling the scythe around to make a sweeping blow, a diagonal cut, bringing his heel down for an axe kick, even the erratic foot work he was pulling off in hopes to catch her at least once, nothing. The way she moved was as if she were an incorporeal being. Literally moving out of the way whenever he tried to strike her with a blow and having said thing turned aside from a simple gesture of her palm, herself, wearing a smug expression each time she did it. The sprites weren't helping anything, being in the mix. She saw that he was getting sloppy and used the opportunity to her advantage.

Backing off a bit, she back stepped a few feet away before twirling like an exotic dancer and kicking one of the sprites towards him and causing him to bring his scythe up in hopes of parrying the mass of dark energy. Whatever those things were made to do, he surmised that they caused some type of magical feedback in the form of fatigue as he felt his energy slowly starting to slip. The impact from it nearly caused him to throw his arms up, leaving him vulnerable but he held strong. He couldn't get touched by another one. She then disappeared causing him to shift uncomfortably as he tried to locate her with his Ki. Everything was moving so quickly that he didn't have the time to see her appear in his blind spot as she had a sprite engulfed on her left arm before she coasted a fist towards him and knocking him back with boulder shattering force and out of the sprite tornado that they both fought in.

XX

Once again, he found himself blown back several feet away before careening roughly into the ground, tumbling before bouncing himself off and coming into a sliding crouch. He made an agonized grimace as black lightning danced all around him, keeping him rooted in place. Kayn's vision was a blurry haze and he was seeing stars as he looked up to focus on the sight of his adversary in front of him. She was doing something but his vision wasn't clearing up enough to determine what. As it became clearer, the realization struck him.

"Che,"she said clicking her teeth. "You're annoyingly persistent like a rodent, run like one too," she said in a virulent manner and weaving a mound of the Humanity Sprites through her hands with the intent to send the volley right toward him. Her face lost the hellish smile it wore earlier to be replaced with one of grim disposition. "You can die like one," she said sending the horde like an angry tide of black blob like ghosts.

"Rhaast! Plan! As in NOW!" Kayn said frantically as he struggled to break free from the magical energy that held him pinned down. It'd be only a matter of time before the sprites engulfed him completely. He could then feel something happening within him eternally.

"We're going to have to resort to that technique," he said quickly, almost adamantly and causing Kayn to question him again.

"Are you positive this is the only other method?!" Kayn shouted much to Rhaast's growing impatience.

"Yes! It's the only other way I can think to counter her! Now do it!" He shouted back. With a burst of red energy that looked like copious amounts of glass shattering, the form he wore exploded, revealing Kayn back in his human form again. Freed from the energy holding him down, he allowed himself to rise. Swirling red energy began to surround him as he folded a hand around his two pointed fingers.

"Dark Release!" he bellowed. The energy seemed to condense and take form into something. The energy started rotating around him like the locomotion of ocean waves as it split over half of the sprites that crashed into him.

For the first time since their fight began, Sylvannas had a look of genuine surprise on her face.

"Huh…?" she whispered. When everything was visible again, the look of surprise stood as she caught a glimpse on how her precious creations were destroyed. Spinning around the young ninja were what looked to be two organic, black disc shaped blades with red plasma like energy coating the edges. She could hear the wind from them because of the magnitude they spun at, making it look like he was literally enveloped in a tornado of his own.

"Blades of Orvius, Reaping Harvest," was the name of the technique. With a flick of his wrist, he sent one at high speed right towards her prompting the congregation of sprites to form a wall around her. It didn't do as intended as the blade ripped right through them to get to her. She had just enough time to lean her head to the side and narrowly avoid the organic blades, causing a nick of a cut to appear on her cheek as velvet colored blood ran down her cheek and eliciting a nasty glower. It came back around, forcing her to dodge again and erasing even more sprites. Kayn's brain was quick on the uptake as he used the opportunity of her, momentarily being caught off guard to attack her. With a drastic decrease of Humanity Sprites she had, it had made it easy.

Holding the scythe two handed, he made a leap in the air before spinning his body and making a gale like swipe causing her to drop low and tumble straight bodied, out of the way before re-orienting herself. He charged at her, making different sets of sweeps causing her to bend and twist her body in ways that a normal person probably wouldn't be able to. Reversing his body around, Kayn used his left foot to hook the disc that was still on his person onto it before landing, kicking it up and using his right foot to kick the organic object towards her, making Sylvannas bring her armored gauntlet up to block it and causing it to dig into said thing like a rotating saw.

They both were up close and personal as he tried to bring the scythe down. She grabbed the bladed edge of it while the other hand was on his fist. Both of their teeth were gnashed together like pressed steel as they struggled under each other's bulk. Seeing as one another wasn't going to let up from their struggle, Sylvannas turned into her banshee form, causing Kayn to pass through her with a stumble before quickly turning on his heel to face the opposite direction. She was airborne again. Both were panting. This battle was taking longer than anticipated and they both still had tricks under the sleeves. That was the thing, both didn't know who was hiding what and to what extent that they were being led on to.

The Banshee Queen was getting tired however of this game of cat and mouse that they started two hours ago. She was going to finish it.

"So… still had a l….little trick up your sleeve, did we?" she said through pants which got her a exhausted but aggravated reply back.

"L-Look, I've grown weary of this. H-How about we cut the bullshit and finish this…" he said summoning his blades back to him. The undead elf's dull gray lips curled into a ravenous smile.

"I couldn't have said it better myself whelp," she said snapping her fingers. With the eyes of a hawk, Kayn made sure to focus on every single detail on whatever the ex-former leader of the Horde was planning. He looked in apprehension at the two figures that appeared from the roof of the monastery. They looked like angelic, Norse, Valkyries. No, he recognized these beings, Valk'yr. One that was cream colored all over while the other was a white with certain pieces of her armor, painted black. Sylvannas used this opportunity to introduce the two.

"If you're wondering where these two came from, I already had them summoned before you even came here," she said with what sounded like pride. "They were high up in the clouds, watching your every move. I kept them around as insurance, just in case something like this happened," she said before beckoning over to the two angel like entities.

With a head nod, she gave a command. "Ysolda, Mjoll, be a couple of dears and put this pesky nuisance in his place…" she resounded, evilly. The two Valk'yr bowed.

"Your will be done most revered queen," they both said in unison like drones before focusing on Kayn.

They swung their large wings to their sides before bright, cream-colored energy spheres began materializing in the folds of them with a loud hum. The shinobi moved in time to dodge the missile like photon beams as they rained down on him. He zigzagged between chairs, as they exploded behind him before making a bee line to the pillars. They were following him, making it a perilous task seeing as he now had to avoid falling debris as the deadly rays of light collided with anything that they could. Making a series of motions with his fingers, he sent his blades to home in on the Valk'yr, causing them to disperse but still take pot shots at him. Getting tired of being followed, they both blasted the blades away and into who knows where, effectively taking them out of the fight since the shinobi couldn't call out to them no matter how hard he tried.

Sylvannas didn't seem like she was keen on making a move against him at all and intent on watching their little display. He surmised that she was trying to recollect herself but he honestly doubted it. He could still feel titanic amounts of magical power emanating from her so there was no way she tired herself out or would any time soon. Seeing as she wouldn't join in and that the Valk'yr were too busy trying to blast him into dust, he used the opportunity to try out another one of his techniques.

"Shadow Step, Blend in Shadows," was its name as shadowy smoke began fizzling through the ground where he dove into and getting surprised reactions out of the three undead beings.

Sylvannas would be the first to speak up. "YOU DAMNED COWARD! STOP ALL THIS SCUTTLING AROUND AND JUST DIE ALREADY YOU TRASH!" she shouted angrily before directed her attention to her Valk'yr.

"Find him, NOW!" she said with them complying. The thing was, they couldn't for the life of them find him anywhere. That was until Kayn came shooting out of a wall and right for the Valk'yr named Ysolda and catching her by the neck with his scythe before making himself plummet down to the ground like a makeshift guillotine. He flew down way too fast for Mjoll and Sylvannas to react as they watched him disappear into a dark portal below.

It was his surprise finisher for use in conjunction with his Shadow Step technique called "Umbral Tresspass,"

They only heard the sound of gory, slushy like metal on flesh and Ysolda's ghastly dying screams before he remerged. Hearing her sister's anguished cries caused the black and cream-colored avian creature to work herself into a bloodthirsty rage as she rained a savage volley of her photons down on Kayn but to no avail as he disappeared again. He again, appeared out of nowhere like a creeping shadow but before he could take the other one out, Sylvannas was parallel to him in mid-air, bow drawn and arms pulled back, while a thin line of dark energy powered itself on her bow string.

"Found you, you little rat!" she said triumphantly before yelling, "Dark Release!" with the giant black mass of energy she had pulled back, exploding and hitting the half-human half demon man before he could react and sending him crashing onto the church floor with immense force and causing the area to shake. "Abyssal Jack, Midnight Blindout Arrow," was what she called this devastating attack.

Everything was pitch black. No sound, like an empty soundless hell. Was he in hell? Was he dead? Was this what the dead experienced once their physical bodies ceased all functions. No, he had plenty of lucid dreams and the fact that he still had conscious thought and was aware of what was going on around him meant he was still alive. It was faint but he could still feel his heart beating. In his dark prison, he surmised that Slyvannas must have hit him with a spell similar to a mind altering jutsu. Concentrating his will to its upmost threshold, he managed to shatter whatever foul magik held him. As his vision cleared, it was just in time for Sylvannas to land on top of him, hand glowing a wispy purplish color before clamping it on his face, causing the outline of a skeleton to phase in and out as it did whatever diabolic action it was supposed to do. It was a soul draining ability that the Darkwraiths of New Londo used and that she picked up while she was in their twisted realm referred to as the Shadowlands.

"Yeah I caught on to you," she said snidely. "Unfortunately, you won't be escaping this time so do me a favor and just let yourself be drained until the last drop," she said pressing harder onto his face and causing the ground to crack as she drained him further of his life essence.

He was feeling drowsy, sluggish and his head was swimming. If this kept up then he truly would be dead this time around. Using what strength he had, he slowly lifted an arm up and made sure he had her attention fully drawn to him. Slowly but surely, one of his Orvius blades, that were nearby was slowly uprooting themselves from wherever they were embedded in. He could feel himself start to slip away. It was almost there. Just a little bit more. With a loud thunk, it finally uprooted itself and came flying towards them, once again, causing her to relax her guard and giving Kayn enough breathing room to kick her off and flip himself backwards before landing and slamming his scythe hard into the ground and resting against it, panting hard.

If Sylvannas' face could be described then it'd be livid madness. She shot a accusing glance at her only living Valk'yr. "Mjoll! What the hell where you doing?! Did you not see him manipulating those blades toward me!" She yelled exasperatedly.

The Valk'yr Mjoll stumbled to come up with an excuse. "No, my queen, I…" she blathered before Sylvannas stopped her.

"Forget it. It's of no consequence. This whelp is on his last legs and won't last much longer," she said, starting to walk over. "You hear that boy? This game ends now," she said sinisterly before stopping her brisk pace. She felt a sudden surge of magical pressure emanating from him. His whole entire outline turning blue.

"You've underestimated me for the last time Sylvannas Windrunner…" Kayn said speaking in an otherworldly voice. Sylvannas made no snarky remark back or any remark period as she could only stare in stunned silence at what was taking place. Kayn begun citing with what seemed to be a litany.

"Sword Saint Asina, your faithful avatar calls upon you again to grant me your favor. Grant me the strength to shatter these Earthly bonds. Strength to cut and scatter any who stand before me!" his demigod like voice rung out as he put one hand on his arm, scythe extended in front of him. Blinding blue energy was flaring around him while his eyes glowed an arcane blue. He allowed himself some last words to his now silent companion Rhaast.

"Sorry Rhaast, I know I've put you through a lot already but I'm going to need you to nap a bit longer," he said speaking internally. Raising the scythe up, a flash of blue lit the entire room as his transformation into whatever finished.

Kayn dissipated the light with a simple swing of his scythe causing a massive intake of wind to blow all around the monastery before leaving as quick as it came. Sylvannas still seemed quiet as a mouse as she took in his new state. His braided pony tail was now set loose as it was allowed to fall fully behind his back with a thin piece of it being colored a blue. His skin was a whitish gray with one eye being a complete blank ivory while the other a sapphire blue. The scythe was now composed of nothing but gaseous black smoke with the former physical blade being made of the same substance only blue in color. Him speaking suddenly nearly startled Sylvannas.

"I was saving this little ace for my reunion with my brother, however, you've more than proven that you need to be destroyed here and now," he said starting to walk forward slowly, scythe outstretched. He seemed to blur with his body cascading away like an image in intervals.

Mjoll sensing the danger her master was in rushed forward. "RUN MY QUEEN!" she screamed, thrusting herself forward at high speed toward the transformed Kayn. The Banshee Queen finally found her voice as she tried to stop her minion.

"IDIOT! GET AWAY!..." she boomed but it was too late. His body was cascading again as he moved forward with one simple step and seemingly going right through the Valk'yr. The angel like entity stopped in place.

"M-m-my queen, f-f-forgive me, I failed…" Mjoll said before bursting into billions of particles and causing Sylvannas to gnash her teeth together ferociously. She started to back up as he began his trek toward her again. She however wouldn't give him the satisfaction of thinking he had her in a bind.

"FINE, COME! HEATHEN! COME TASTE….. DESTRUCTION!" she said raking her hands outward, summoning massive amounts of purple arrows and Humanity Sprites. Enough of them to overwhelm an army. Kayn was unfettered as he continued walking forward. Like a damning mass of artillery, they came at him. They came at him and did nothing as he moved through them as if he were intangible. All he was doing is simply adding steps to his pace at such a speed that it was almost on the plane of the gods themselves. The ones that he couldn't avoid were batted away like meddlesome gnats by his twirling scythe. The closer he got, the more desperate Sylvannas became as she increased the volume of her attack.

"Way of Raitoningu, Deva Path…." (Way of Lightning) Kayn started, still moving through the thick concentration of her attack. For this attack to have the desired affect and outcome he wanted, he'd have to utter the entire thing. Words are power. Words given to things gave them more power. He understood that lesson well.

"Tenrai.." (Heavenly) he said disappearing in a lightning flash and appearing behind her. Before she could react, he went through her with a slash, causing her to gasp out in absolute agonizing pain as a blue ethereal slash mark appeared on her midsection. She spun around to try to defend herself but her movements were too sluggish.

"Kama…" (Scythe) he said spinning his scythe skillfully before going through her again.

"no Kobushi.." (of the Wind) he said going through her multiple times and ending his brilliant attack. (Way of Lightning: Heavenly Scythe of the Wind).

XX

Kayn walked past her as she stood there frozen. Eyes rolled to the back of her head. He stopped twirling his scythe before it pointed towards the ground, prompting her to fall stomach first onto the cold ground, not moving an inch. He still didn't know why he did this, (even habits had to have their stopping points) but he made different sets of kanji before bringing two fingers up to his face in prayer before dispelling his transformation. With one last look at her, he started for the rubric.

XX

He stopped as he started to feel vibrations in the air. Already knowing where the origin was from he reluctantly turned around in horror to see and feel massive amounts of energy gushing from the undead elf.

"You're kidding…. I put everything I had in that attack and she can still move…?" He said in disbelief. As she slowly raised herself up, he nearly recoiled back into the rubric and coffin itself at her next action.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA haaa haaa UHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Sylvannas' maddened laughter rung out like a choir.

She was hunched over before bending back. She was slanted at an odd angle with her head cocked to the side. She was breathing hard, mouth open with a glee filled, crazed smile. It was dangerous magical pressure she was emitting, more so than before and it was only growing. She calmed herself down enough to speak.

"Little man…. that fickle thing….. that fickle thing can't be called a second origin," she said in a dreadful tone that only made Kayn uneasier as timed passed. With another monstrous grin she yelled out, "LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT A REAL SECOND ORIGIN LOOKS LIKE!" she boomed before an engulfing mass of purple shot out from her causing a gigantic set of hellish laser purple like eyes and a monstrous mouth to be shown through it and causing Kayn to fan his eyes from the light and the wind.

A banshee like wail assailed his ears as he had to cover them to keep his ear drums from nearly bursting as the explosion of power was at such an intensity that it tore the roof off the monastery completely, exposing them to the rain. However, the massive well of power was causing the sky to turn into a twilight color while it parted the rain clouds to the point that she shifted the rain and clouds away from them all together. When it was finished, the same feeling that Sylvannas had felt earlier was reversed and now Kayn would be on the receiving end on what came next.

XX

(Second Origin, Sylvannas: Dread Queen / Emperia Galacta)

Disaster Level Elevated: Dragon ++

Kayn dropped his scythe. He was shaking like a leaf. No one would blame him if he wanted to shit himself at the present moment. In his mind, there was just no way someone could exude this much magical energy. It was preposterous. Her current form wasn't helping matters either as she truly looked fearsome now. While she still had on her same attire, she looked to be in what could be considered a half-bodied cloak of energy. Her left eye was her normal undead ruby red but they seemed to glow as if flames danced in them. The other was a fierce raging flaming purple that seem to flow out of her right eye like a flamethrower. One half her body was again, normal while the other side was cloaked in the purple energy with both hands outstretched like claws. Her wings had split into two only adding to her sinister appearance with a purple tail trailing behind her. She stared at him in the stance she was in. As if she were daring him to make a move. She knew that he knew that she had him cornered and that she could have broken him anytime she wanted. It was a shitty feeling when it did dawn on him. She was toying with him this entire time, just doing this for sport and he fell hook line and sinker for her game. Before anything else could take place, a voice stopped both of them.

"That's enough Sylvannas…" it said and causing Kayn to stare hollowly at the new entity.

Sylvannas looked behind her before making a, "Hmph!" and powering down. "So you've finally decided to join us have you?" she said sarcastically and causing the person to let out an amused chuckle.

"Now now, no need for the snarky remarks," he started. "The process, was more delicate than I thought," he explained before directing his attention to the shaken Kayn.

"Well while you were taking your little beauty nap, I've been having to contend with this annoying twerp here," Sylvannas barked.

XX

(The Deathlord: Vordred / Disater Level: Unknown)

The figure was clad in heavy bone plate like armor, tattered black cape flowing behind him with imposing wide circular pauldrons and a demonic horned like helm with red eyes that gleamed with foreboding as he crossed the distance from himself to Kayn in an instant. His magical pressure was colossally different from Sylvannas' and from the looks of things, Fortinbras was right to be weary of this person. Kayn immediately tensed up and as he was about to try to strike him, Rhaast's voice immediately called out to stop him.

"NO MUROROKU!" Rhaast shouted and stopping the young shinobi dead in his tracks and causing Vordred to laugh.

"Hello Rhaast, I assume you've been well?" Vordred said warmly through his undead modulated voice and causing Rhaast to answer him in a hushed manner.

"Vordred…." he stated simply and causing the armored skeletal behemoth of a man to let out another amused snort.

"We haven't seen each other in centuries old friend and you can't even muster out nothing more than a simple word? How disappointing," he said before addressing Kayn. Smaller human looked up at the larger undead. "Ah? The errant, errand boy of Fortinbras I presume? I must say, you were quite interesting to watch. Almost thought you had her for a second," he said in appraisal before getting a snide remark from her in return.

"Yeah, as if…" she rebutted. Vordred waved it off before focusing his attention back to Kayn. His teeth were grit together and looked as if he'd explode anytime but he already knew that the boy was in a precarious situation and he knew that nothing he tried would work. Using that, he decided to toy with him some more.

"Don't worry, I won't annihilate you where you stand, rather, I'll let you leave with the rubric but just one thing?" he said leaning forward into Kayn. Kayn was too afraid to make any type of movement and allowed the creature to whisper what insidious curses he planned to.

"Give Lord Fortinbras my regards and tell him these words," he said pausing. "Tell him, prepare for unforeseen consequences," he finished with dark laughter before appearing right next to Sylvannas in an instant. "Sylvannas, come, we have much work to do," he said as he began walking towards the entrance of the monastary.

She nodded and started towards the entrance as well only to stop and look back, taunting the defeated ninja. "You're lucky my partner stopped us or else that would have been your one-way ticket to the nether-realm," she admonished harshly before talking smack one last time. "Now go explain your failure to your master, little failure, hahahahahahaha!" She cackled before walking off.

Kayn fell to his knees, teeth grit in frustration. This was bad. They weren't banking on Sylvannas Windrunner being in the mix of things as well as being allied with this Vordred. Now only that, he was free. It stung more that they both made fools out of him. Regardless, he'd still have to report back to the brotherhood. Even if he did run, they would follow him to the ends of the Earth if they had to. They didn't take too kindly to deserters and obviously failures if earlier was anything to go by. Plus, he had Annie to worry about. These things ran through his mind as he tried to pick up the pieces. One thing was for certain? Everything had just gotten a lot more complex.

Upcoming Chapter 4.1: Strangulation: Cavern Fever Showdown: Journey to Nakhiti Deserts 2B

Alright, that's it and boy was this hard to do and was this long lmao but hopefully you enjoy their full fight and the reveals. I wanted to make Kayn's actions similar to what Itachi from Naruto and Quinlan Vos from Star Wars did in their respective universes and is what I had in mind when I put him in this AU universe.

I'll do the magic spreadsheet thing probably sometime next week since I wanted to get a few explanations out of the way.

Here's two themes I thought of for Kayn and Sylvannas.

Kayn's Theme: Slaying Moon / (Tekken Tag Tournament - Unknown Theme by: Namco Team (watch?v=fZVDNPODfeY)

Sylvannas' Theme: Symphony of the Vengeful Queen / (Dark Souls III Soundtrack OST - Abyss Watchers by: Fromsoft) (watch?v=f0LdIZ8TWYo)

Thanks and hope you enjoy, happy reading!

PS and Edit lol: I may go back to and fro from this to make quality of life changes just in case I missed some things to make it flow better. Also didn't see that I had a duplicate chapter up and caught it since no one else would let me know so it should be corrected.
