I was finally caught. My back up against the wall and the only exit... covered by three men of the law.

Three to one.

The odds weren't exactly in my favor, but it was something I wasn't already used to. Such is the life of a killer. In normal circumstances, I could take them down easily, but with this gaping hole in my abdominal area and gun wounds on my right leg, it seemed impossible.

Blood. So much blood was flowing from my injuries. Ahh shit. There goes my line of sight... dammit.

I guess this was it. After 5 long years, Jane the Killer was finally caught. I could see the headlines now. Those mediocre news stations, broadcasting my death with cheers of relief. How shrewd.

Fine...

At least in death, I could finally sleep soundlessly.

"There's nowhere to run." The taller man barked with pleasure. He was right. Nowhere to go... nowhere to...

My vision fading rapidly and my body no longer responding. I guess this is it...

Without so much as a warning, one of the men tackled me, throwing my limp body towards the ground. I could taste the asphalt as blood seeped from my mouth. His body, now on my back restraining my arms. Not like I could fight back. Was there really any need for such measures?

"I-I can't believe it! We actually caught her!"

"Yes, all our hard work, finally paying off. Too bad for her though... damn. For such a crazy bitch, she is quite a looker."

His eyes showed a familiar gleam. One I'm very much used to by now.

"I guess it's time we take her in."

"Wait... why in a rush?" The one on top of me cooed. His hand stroking my hair. "We could have some fun for a bit. I mean, she is a criminal after all."

Ahh, there it is. That confirmed it. His vile eye's gazed upon my blood covered body. His hand gently touched along my sides, playing with the hem of my torn shirt "What do you say?" He asked, with a smile that may have rivaled even his.

His smile... I've accomplished nothing in this pathetic life. My only goal... my only reason to live was to kill him... and I couldn't even do that.

I was so naive...

Now look at me. About to be touched by these unfamiliar men, just before my death. Oh how fate was cruel.

This was it... the end of my life... such a fitting end for a failure like me.

My vision continued to blur and in that last moment, just before it went dark. I could have swore I saw a white hooded figure walking towards me.

... And the last thing I heard were three men screaming.
