"Chookity?"

"Shoot the laser."

Chookity!"

"Shoot the laser!"

"Chookity!"

"What Mooncake is trying to say here is... Previously on "Final Space"... Avocato's been trying to save his son, Little Cato, for a long freakin' time, who the Lord Commander has locked away. Oh, crap! Gary swore that he wouldn't rest until Little Cato was back home safe, and Gary always keeps his word."

"Four minutes of oxygen left, Gary."

"Avocato, now would be the time to appear and scoop me up. Or Fly at least."

"They're not coming, Gary. I'm afraid no one is."

"H.U.E., what are my chances that I'm secretly an immortal? Like Zeus, Hercules, or Octoprime Rex?"

"There is no chance."

"I think there's a chance I got an Octoprime Rex thing going on. Big time."

"You have absolutely no chance because Octoprime Rex is completely fabricated by you."

"If we're talking percentages of me becoming an eight-sided enhanced T-Rex, what are the odds?"

"Zero percent."

"So death it is."

"SHE'S WHAT?!" exclaimed Quinn, Gary and pretty much all the robots. They were playing cards when Avocato told them everything.

"So the reason Cetus hates your guts was because you dumped her like garbage," Quinn accused Fly.

"Bad mama," KVN said, slapping Fly's head. "Bad mama!"

"Get off me, you idiot!" Fly swatted him away. "I didn't even want to be a mama! I had a lot of freedom and I wasn't going to waste it changing some ankle biter's feculent crud out of their diapers!"

"Yeah, and look where that got you," Quinn said, gesturing to the commissary. "Stuck in a prison ship. Some freedom, huh?"

Fly sighed. "What I want to know is how she even became the Lord Commander's second-in-command to begin with."

Avocato said, "I told you before, she arrived some time after I became a bounty hunter and Little Cato was imprisoned." Suddenly, his wrist communicator beeped. "H.U.E., can you patch this in?"

"Transferring."

A hologram message played. "Dad, these are my coordinates. Come find me. I mean, at your leisure, but like, for me preferably fast. That'd be great."

Avocato's eyes widened. "Is that your son?" asked Gary.

"Yes." Avocato's voice quivered.

"He looks healthy. I mean, look, yeah, it looks like ... it looks like you did a pretty good job raising the boy. I mean, it's obvious he's been bathing."

"I've traced the coordinates to the Udrex System in Sector 11," said HUE.

"H.U.E., set a course. Sector 11," Avocato commanded.

Quinn stood up. "Out of the question! We've got a breach to close!"

But Avocato was not backing down. "H.U.E., Sector 11. Now!"

Quinn pulled a gun on his head. "Stand back."

Fly's eyes widened. "Quinn..."

"I get it. He's your son," Quinn said. "But a world can end if we don't close the breach."

Avocato did not flinch as he said, "You're right." He pulled a gun on her. "It is my son. And we're getting him."

"Dude! What the freak?!" cried Gary.

Quinn turned to Gary. "Gary, which is it? Earth, or his son? You're going to have to choose."

"Remember. You promised," Avocato reminded him.

"It's going down!" KVN said as he slowly pulled out two pistols. "It... is... going... downtown, y'all!" Fly kicked him away.

Gary stood up and said, "I've thought on it... and I choose both. But first, we need to save Little Cato."

"What?!" Quinn exclaimed. "Fly, talk some sense into them!"

Fly didn't respond. Then she glanced at Avocato who glared at her. She made her decision and exhaled. "We're going after Little Cato." Quinn tried to protest, but Fly interrupted her, "This discussion is over, Quinn!"

"In the chair!" Avocato ordered Quinn.

She just let out an outraged sound, "You're saying your son is worth the lives of ..."

"Yes", he said as he tied her up.

"Is this totally necessary?" asked Fly.

"KVN, watch her." Avocato ordered.

"I can't believe I trusted you," Quinn said to Gary, disappointed.

Gary put a hand on her shoulder. "We're gonna do both jobs."

"Hang tight," said Fly. "We'll be back."

The ship left lightspeed and came to a stop. Avocato, Gary and Fly went to change into their space gear. Avocato turned to the two humans. "You sure you want to do this? There's a 99% chance that this is a trap."

"Traps are just open casting calls for heroes," said Gary.

"Plus, you already tied up Quinn," pointed out Fly. "So there's no real rebound after that."

"You're a good friend," Avocato said to Gary as he put his hands on his shoulders

"I would've gone with 'great'. But whatever. I'll take... good." Gary said as he put his hands on Avocato's shoulders.

Avocato then realized the situation they were in. "What is happening?"

"I think we're about to hug," said Gary.

"Should we?"

"The siren's call is beckoning us to embrace. We shan't ignore her."

"Hey!" called out Fly. "What about me?"

The two men looked at each other, then nodded. They pulled her into their hug. "Is this the part where we kiss?" she whispered.

Gary and Avocato let out a groan and broke the hug and said something along the lines of, "You ruined the moment!"

Fly chuckled. "So, we're getting your son back, kitty?"

"Hell yeah!"

At that moment, Mooncake came in and said, "Chookity!"

"Mooncake, we're gonna need rich sacks of back up," said Gary.

"Ooh!"

"We're goin' down to the Lord Commander's prison colony. It's dangerous! It's life-threatening! We're probably gonna die! You got my back, little buddy?"

"Chookity!" Mooncake said, clearly terrified. He flew away.

Fly glared at Gary. "Nice! You just scared away our super weapon!"

"I didn't really sell that very well, did I?"

"No."

"Crap! So no back up. Just three hombres with a dream."

"H.U.E., let's do this," said Avocato.

The trio fist-bumped.

Zetakron Alpha The Lord Commander's Prison Colony

"We have arrived," said HUE.

The planet looked...dead for lack of a better word and was surrounded by a cloud of purple fog. It pretty much had the word "evil" written all over it.

"Then land this thing," said Gary.

"Unfortunately, if we land, we will be detected. You'll have to space vault."

Gary sputtered, "Are you sa... are you saying we gotta jump? Jump like freakin' a zillion feet through that purple cloud?!"

"Please tell me space vaulting comes with parachutes!" Fly shouted.

"How close can you get us?" Avocato asked HUE.

"Hmm. Nowhere near close enough."

"I can do nowhere near close enough," Gary said. "Punch it, H.U.E.!"

The hanger bay door opened and the trio jumped out, nose diving into the cloud. Then, they hit a snag. "What is this?" asked Fly. "TWO planets?! There's two?!"

"Which one is it?" asked Gary.

"It's left," said Avocato.

"Right?"

Avocato made an unsure face. "R-Right? I-I can't hear you over the music!"

"Gary!" shouted Fly. "Turn off that music right now!"

"Right it is!"

"GARY!"

The trio swerved to the right and they landed on the planet's surface. They looked around and saw...nothing. No fortress, no guards, no signs of any life whatsoever. "Something feels wrong," said Gary.

"Yeah, because we're on the wrong planet," growled Avocato.

"Agreed. This planet is all wrong."

"No, literally!" snapped Fly. "We landed on the wrong planet!"

"Gosh dang it," Gary ranted. "Crap it rough! Of course, it's left. It's always left. Everything in my life has always been left. Left! Left!"

Fly sighed. "You're an idiot."

Meanwhile, back on the Galaxy 1, KVN was doing his guard duty while smashing cookies into his processor like the idiot he always was. Quinn asked him, "How does it feel, KVN?" He turned to face her. She was smiling at him lustfully and her voice was seductive. "To be so hot, so good looking, so...so handsome?"

KVN was confused. "Hmm. So, uh, am I the best-looking thing aboard the Galaxy One?"

"By far."

KVN made a giddy noise. "Quinn, I can make you very happy here." He put an arm around her shoulder. "Uh, should I kill Gary?"

"What?! No." Quinn put her foot under KVN's chin. "But soon. Then it will just be the two of us. And when I say hot, that doesn't even begin to describe what you've got coming."

Steam came out of KVN in the shape of hearts. "Oooooh, I like it hot!"

"Then you... just... untie me, KVN."

"Maybe I can re-tie you later? With love knots? And then I can kill Gary later, right?"

"Just untie me, you metallic moron!"

The next thing KVN knew, he was the one tied up. "Sorry, just to be clear, did you say kill Gary, or don't kill Gary?"

"Shut up." Quinn had her gun back in it's holster. She went to the hanger bay. "H.U.E., ready a HAWK. I got a breach to close." She got into one of the ships and was about to press the ignition button when HUE said, "Quinn, you should reconsider."

"Too late. Open the hangar."

"Quinn, I think there is something you should see before you go."

"Not interested, H.U.E." Quinn said sadly. "No one left to trust."

"You can trust Gary."

Quinn made a snort. "That's a joke, right?" A hologram of Gary suddenly appeared before her. "What's this?"

"It's time you get to know the real Gary."

Quinn decided to play along. She pressed the hologram and hundreds of video files appeared. "There are hundreds."

"Yes, one for every day of his sentence."

Mooncake suddenly appeared from behind her and said, "Oooh."

Quinn played the first one. "Hey, Quinn! It's me, Gary. Day one! Uh, I should probably start by apologizing to you and of course the Sanchez family for blowing up their very mediocre restaurant. If we're being honest..."

"Looks like we've come down with a case of wrong-planet-itis," said Gary.

"Duh," said Fly.

"Luckily, there's a cure."

"What?"

Gary took a few steps back, then started running forward, "Jump to the next planet!" He jumped up and activated his jet boots.

Fly and Avocato followed him with the latter saying, "What? No tunes, baby?!"

Fly, Avocato and Gary cheered as they nose dived toward the planet's surface. "Whoo! Yeah! We're planet jumping, man! We are planet jumping!"

CRASH!

They hit the ground, destroying their suits in the process. And somehow, they were still alive. Up on a hilltop was a large fortress with glowing red windows. Yep, definitely a scary prison. Gary led the charge with guns at the read. "All right! Let's kill them all! They're never gonna see us coming!" The trio came to a stop in front of the door.

Fly took one look at it and said sarcastically, "A door covered in skulls and bones. How inviting."

"I say we burst in, guns blazing," said Gary. "Blind fire from the hip."

Avocato held up a grenade. "For Little Cato."

"For Little Cato," said the humans.

Avocato let out a meow that sounded more like a war cry and tossed the grenade. It blew the doors open, sending bones and shrapnel flying everywhere. The trio then burst into the main hall, firing randomly and screaming like maniacs...and then stopped when they realized no one was there other than three doves. "Oh, come on!" exclaimed Gary. "Oh, great. Nobody's around."

"This is totally a trap," said Avocato. Gary went around a corner. "Where are you going?"

"I gotta take care of some biz. Curious? Thought so."

"No."

"I gotta release a fat pee stream."

"I wasn't curious."

"You were totally curious."

"No, I wasn't!"

"I ... Whatever!"

Fly groaned. "So, what do we do while Gary's...bleeding the lizard?"

"We're still going to find..."

"Papa..."

Avocato's eyes widened when he heard that voice. "Little Cato?"

"Papa..." With their guns at the ready, Avocato and Fly walked down a flight of stairs until they entered a dark hallway. Suddenly, something floating on the other end of the tunnel floated toward them. At first, Fly thought it was some kind of puppet, but when it came into the light, they gasped when they saw who it was. "Papa..."

"Little Cato!" exclaimed Avocato.

Gary had just finished his business when he returned to his friends and saw the young cat alien. He put his hand on Avocato's shoulder and shook his head. "Mm-hmm, mm-hmm, not to kill the reunion vibe, but there's something mega not right with your boy."

"It's my fault. He's angry with me," said Avocato.

"Well, it's, uh, you know, that's great. It's good, it's good," Gary said sarcastically. "But, uh, he's got a weird way of showing that, in the fact that he's hovering off the ground!"

"And he's got glowing eyes!" said Fly. "This isn't angry! He's under some kind of spell!"

"Yeah, you got a point," Avocato said.

"We got a point? We know we do."

Suddenly, Little Cato abruptly floated in front of Gary and Fly. "WAUGH!" they screamed.

"Okay, nice to meet you," said Gary. "And your name is?"

"Death is sweeter than life."

Fly's eyes widened. "That's a...long name."

"Yeah," said Gary. "I don't know why more kids aren't named 'Death is sweeter than life.' Fine boy you have here."

Avocato stepped forward and blocked Gary and Fly with one arm. "Things are about to get real. You kept your promise, Gary. Go back. Both of you. Go back to Quinn."

"What, wait?" sputtered Fly.

"Why would you even say that?" asked Gary.

Avocato looked down, "Because ... what do you really know about me?"

"I know for a guy who says he's not a cat, you sure do love milk. Other than that, not a lot."

"Gary, Fly, I hate the Lord Commander for a reason," Avocato said, his voice shaking with anger. "I used to be his Second in Command. I was a master of death. I did anything the Lord Commander asked of me. He above all else demanded loyalty. And one day, he ordered all of his generals to prove their allegiance to him by killing their firstborn."

"Oh, that's pretty dark," whispered Gary. "Like midnight dark. Like the darkest of the dark. Like super dark."

"But you didn't," said Fly. "You loved your son more than the Lord Commander." Avocato nodded. "Why didn't you just kill the Big Cheese?"

"I tried."

"Did you," Gary asked.

"Yes."

"Okay, I like that out of you. Yeah, I believe you."

"What happened after that?" Fly asked.

Avocato's fist clenched. "He took away my son as a reminder for what will happen if he ever sensed doubt in me again."

"How'd ya end up with a little green tic-tac cosmic butt head like that in the first place?" Gary asked, his arms folded.

"By not asking the questions I didn't want to hear the answers to."

"Mm-hmm. What the hell does that even mean?"

"I've made a lot of mistakes," Avocato shouted. "You still want anything to do with me?"

Fly sighed. "I've made mistakes too. The only difference between you and I is you learned from them. I didn't and look where it got me."

Gary wrapped his arms around the two of them. "All of us are broken. Just a question of how much and how far we're willing to go to fix it. Seems like you want that
pretty bad, Avocato."

"Yeah."

"Then as far as I'm concerned, we're back to where we started. I made you a promise to get your son back. And until we get him back, I got your back. It's back to back for life!"

"We got lots of backs!" said Fly. "Backsides!"

Gary frowned at her. "You ruined it."

Back at the Galaxy 1, Quinn was still reading through Gary's messages, not realizing or even caring that KVN and the SAMEs had joined in with her. "Heeeeeeey, Quinn! Gary again. I wrote a jingle ... well, more of a ballad ... which I called 'Love Pain'. Actually, wait. No. It's called "Pain Love'. It's one of those two. H.U.E. won't let me have a guitar. Do you really think I'm going to hang myself by guitar strings?!"

"Yes, dude."

"Yeah, well, you're probably right. So I made one out of a plastic spoon, three pieces of gravity tape, a Cheeto, and my hair. All right, let me just tune it. You know, I haven't practiced this, so I'm a little bit rusty."

"That idiot," Quinn snickered.

"Ready, Papa?" asked Little Cato as he floated backwards and into a door before it slammed shut.

"Ready, son."

The trio readied their weapons and followed the possessed boy. "I mean, you know the Lord Commander's gonna be behind this door, right?" asked Gary rhetorically.

They opened the door and...

"Surprise!" The Lord Commander was there with Cetus by his side. On Cetus's lap was Little Cato, being petted like a domestic house cat.

Gary scoffed. "Surprise? You gotta be kidding."

"Dude, no one's surprised," said Avocato.

"Yeah," said Fly. "We all knew this was going to happen.

The Lord Commander growled, "I spent many hours of my day planning this! Everyone in the entire prison was murdered for this surprise!"

"Well, I don't know what to tell ya," said Fly. "I don't think it was worth it."

"Silence!"

Fly let out a squeak before hiding behind Avocato's back. "O-Okay."

The Lord Commander lifted Gary up into the air with his powers. "I have more surprises for you, the Gary."

"Just... Gary."

Cetus stood up. "As for your father," she hissed. "Kill him. Do it and I'll give you that belly rub I promised." Little Cato let out screech and tackled his father through a wall. Cetus turned to Fly. "And as for you..."

Fly said, "I know you're my daughter now. I get it."

Cetus let out a chuckle as she pulled out a sword. "You think that changes everything? You left me behind!"

Fly held up her hands defensively. "Girl, you're angry at me for leaving you with that family? That was the best decision I ever made for you! I didn't want to drag you into my life!"

"So you left me!" Cetus yelled as she lunged for Fly with the sword. Fly ducked and rolled out of the way.

"I saved you! I didn't want you to get involved with the life of crime! I did what was best for you!"

"What was best for me?" Cetus let out a crazy laugh. "Because of you, I was left alone with him!" She pointed to the Lord Commander.

Fly let out a shocked and confused, "What?"

"It's true," the Lord Commander chuckled as he hovered over to her. "Thanks to you, I was able to create the perfect warrior." Fly's face contorted with horror as he continued, "After Avocato failed to obey me, I realized that loyalty cannot be bought or earned, but made. So, I took thousands of children and trained them to become my Second."

"You...you kidnapped their children? My daughter?"

"Not exactly," the little tyrant said. "They gave them to me willingly!" Fly gasped. "Like I said, loyalty can only be made. And wouldn't you know it, little Cetus here was the only one who survived the training. The punishments for failures. The reminders of where her place is."

"And do you know why endured?" Cetus growled. "Because I focused on one thing: getting my revenge on you, the one who put me in this position. If you hadn't abandoned me, I wouldn't be here. It's all your FAULT! RAUUUGGGHHH!" She charged again, swinging the sword wildly.

"Cetus, stop!" Fly said as she dodged the attacks. "Stop, please!"

The Lord Commander returned his attention to Gary, still floating in the air. "Now, where were we?"

Gary showed no fear. "Get on with it, you fun-sized devil."

"We both know neither you nor Fly will tell me where Mooncake is, so I think it's time I find him myself." The Lord Commander clenched his fist and Gary let out a scream as he felt the midget alien tyrant penetrate his brain.

"What are you doin'? Get outta my mind, yo. This consciousness quadrant is members only. So get out of my mind. You can't do that. It's my mind. I didn't invite you into my mind. Get outta my mind!"

Back on the ship, Quinn had finished looking through all the messages Gary left for her. So many sweet, stupid and heartwarming messages. Suddenly, another hologram appeared. "What's this blinking one?" she asked.

"That means incoming message," said HUE. It must have been delayed by the interference."

"Sure, whatever. Play it."

The message began, "This may be the last time we talk one-on-one. Uh, I told Avocato I was taking a fat pee, but I just wanted to connect with you one last time in case, you know, I don't survive this. Quinn, I know I don't say the right thing half the time or any of the time. You know, in fact, I have Word-arrhea. It's an unpleasant spraying of words that just won't quit. It ... I mean, it's ... it's a thing. Uh, I want you to know that I know that I hurt you back there."

The SAMEs, annoyed by the sound of KVN smashing popcorn into his processer shouted, "Shut up. Shut up! Shut up! Could you please shut up?! Shut up!"

The message continued, "I don't expect that rope to hold you very long. I mean, you're pretty awesome and agile and hot. I guess you probably left the Galaxy One by now. But I want you to know that...I would have went with you till the very end. I'm sorry, Quinn. I hope one day I can repair the trust I broke."

End of message. Quinn felt tears fall down her face. "Gary always puts other people's lives before his own," said HUE.

Quinn wiped her tears off and said, "H.U.E., where's Gary?"

"Unclear. I have lost communications with him."

"Then we better get down there and find him. We're coming, Gary."

"Hell, yeah, dawg."

Back on the planet's surface, Gary was still going through the most horrible torture his brain could go through while Avocato fought his son and Fly fought...more like dodged her daughter.

"Uh, Avocato?" called out Fly. "I could use your help here! WHOA!" She jumped out of the way just in time before Cetus' sword sliced her in half.

"I got my own problems right now!" Avocato shouted as his tried to claw his throat out. "Little Cato?!"

"Little Cato no longer controls this body."

Avocato blocked his son's attacks and pleaded, "I know you're in there, son."

"Wrong."

The boy kicked his father through a wall and began to strangle him. Avocato choked, "I've been a terrible father. The Lord Commander ruined me, and I lost you. Please, son. Don't let him ruin you."

"What if it's too late?"

Avocato wrapped his arms around his son. "It's not. You're still right here."

Tears fell down Little Cato's eyes as they stopped glowing. "Dad?" And then he punched him. "What the heck took you so long?!" He helped Avocato up.

"Now, let's get the hell out of here," he said.

Meanwhile, the Lord Commander grinned as he found the right memory he was looking for. "There you are. Mooncake is aboard the Galaxy 1."

"No," Gary said weakly. "He's right here."

He was right. KVN, tethered to the Galaxy 1, held Mooncake in his arms. "Now, Mooncake!"

"Chookity!" The little green blob fired his lasers out his eyes and mouth and made direct contact with the Lord Commander. He screamed as the laser blasted him, horrifically disfiguring him.

"Alright, Mooncake!" cheered Fly. "WAUGH!" She let out a scream as Cetus slashed her with her sword.

"PAY ATTENTION TO ME, MOTHER!"

"Hey!" Cetus turned around and her face met a fist. Little Cato's fist. The punch was so powerful, it knocked her helmet off. "This is for the years of torture!" He smashed her arm with a rock. "This is for the belly rubs!" He punched her gut. "And this is for making me attack my own father!" He slashed the left side of her face, revealing a metallic skull underneath. Little Cato panted heavily, then got off her to help his father tend to Gary.

Fly looked on in horror then whispered, "What did he do to you?" She didn't have time to dwell on that. As soon as she heard the fortress's defenses activate, she knew they had to get out now.

Avocato helped Gary up. "Time to go, bud!"

Gary shook Little Cato's hand. "Name's Gary by the way. Nice to see your paws touching the ground."

"Little Cato. Likewise."

Fly waved to the boy. "Hi. I'm Fly." She got no response. "Come on, don't leave me hanging."

Suddenly, guards appeared and began shooting at the group. "Where did they come from?!" exclaimed Fly as they ran. "I thought the Lord Commander said he killed them all!"

"Apparently not," said Avocato. "We need to get to the Galaxy One."

They suddenly came to a blocked door. "I got this," Little Cato said as he hacked it with his armband. The door opened and said, "Boom! Done."

"You're almost as good as me," Avocato praised him.

"Please, I passed you years ago."

Meanwhile, the Galaxy 1 was taking a beating from the fortress' defense systems. But KVN still had his secret weapon: Mooncake. "KVN is here to save the daaaay!" he said as Mooncake fired his lasers at the turrets.

Back on the ground, Avocato, Gary, Fly and Little Cato ran to the landing pad. A turret fired at the group. Little Cato was almost blasted, but his father pulled him in, saving him.

"GARY!" Quinn called out on the communicator.

"Quinn?! Where are you?"

"Now, HUE!"

The ship lowered and Mooncake fired one last laser, destroying the guards.

"KVN, I'm lowering the tether," Quinn said as the tether dropped in front of the escapees. They climbed it up as quick as they could.

Gary made a snicker. "Oh, Quinn, you really do love me."

"I don't love you." But there was hesitation in her voice. Finally, she came clean, "I... love you."

Gary let out a cheer as he was lifted into the Galaxy 1's hanger. "Yes!"

Back on the ground, Cetus let out a groan as she slowly got back up. She looked up and saw the Galaxy 1 about to go into lightfold. She let out a growl as she activated her jet boots and flew up to the ship, tearing more of her flesh off in the process. "Get back here, Fly!"

The group was pulled into the hanger and everyone exhaled in relief. It was done. Little Cato was saved. "Hoo!" cried Mooncake as he hugged Gary's face. "Wah-wah wah wah, wah-wah-wah-wah-wah-wah."

KVN floated up to Gary and raised his hand, expecting a high five. "Yay! Gary, Gary, Gary. Hey, hey, hey."

Gary ignored him and looked to see Quinn, smiling at him. He smiled back.

As the hanger bay's door closed, Avocato hugged his son. "As excited as I am about today, I'm even more excited for tomorrow."

"Yeah," Little Cato said.

Suddenly, a fist punched through the hanger bay door and Cetus forced her way in. She took one look at Fly and growled. "FLY!"

Gary let out a scream. "She's a Terminator!"

Cetus let out a roar and charged at Fly, knocking her on her back. She then wrapped her hands around her neck and squeezed. "I'm not done with you yet, mother!"

"Get...off...me..." Fly choked as she tried to fight her way out. She tried scratching at Cetus' eyes, but she instead headbutted her and resumed strangling her.

Gary and Avocato rushed in with their guns, but Cetus shot them with one hand holding the gun and the other still holding Fly's throat. One shot hit Gary in the thigh. The other hit Avcato square in the chest.

"DAD!" screamed Little Cato. He tried to run to his father, but Cetus shot him in the back.

"Ah, ah, ah," snarled Cetus. "Once I'm done killing everyone in this room and taking Mooncake with me, you're going to be my slave again! I hope you're a screamer!"

Hearing this, Avocato's eyes shot open. He let out a roar, tackled Cetus to the ground and punched her repeatedly. "You!" PUNCH! "Will!" POW! "NOT!" CRACK! "TOUCH!" CRUNCH! "MY SON AGAIN!" The last punch probably cracked her jaw in two. He panted heavily as he looked down at the bloody mess.

Suddenly, Cetus grabbed him by the wrist before he could get off her. She smiled and said, gurgling on her blood, "So...gullible..." She held up a grenade and popped the pin off.

Everyone's hearts stopped. "No..." said Gary.

Avocato took one look at Gary and said, "Take care of my boy."

"NO, DAD!" screamed Little Cato.

Avocato grabbed the grenade and Cetus and ran out the airlock. He slammed the door shut just as the explosion occurred. As the laser shield turned on, closing up the vacuum, everyone watched in horror as Avocato's lifeless body was flown out into space. Little Cato fell to his knees and let out a wail of anguish.

"HUE..." Fly said. "He's going to be okay, right?" Silence. "Isn't he, HUE?"

"No, Fly. If the wounds didn't kill him, the lack of oxygen will."

Fly lowered her head. "And Cetus?"

"I detected her vitals leaving the area of the ship. She's still alive."

Little Cato stood up, tears still leaking. "Then it was all for nothing."

"Little Cato," Fly tried to say, but the boy let out a yell and tried claw her eyes out, but she grabbed his arms. "Little Cato, stop!"

"It's your fault! My father died in vain trying to save you!" he screamed. "It's all your fault!" Gary pulled the struggling boy away from him. "Let me go! She has to die! She killed my father!" Gary pulled him into a hug. Finally, he stopped struggling and resumed crying.

It was Fly's turn to cry now. "He didn't save me. He saved you." She couldn't stop the tears from coming. "I'm sorry... I'm sorry!" That was all she said in her sleep that night.
