Max and Duna Ch-2

Duna woke up as the sun started streaming into her hotel room, which was right across from Max's. She started to get dressed as today was the monthly royal Dinaurian meeting, in which the royal family and the Dinaurian higher-ups attend, and since Duna was part of the royal family her presence was very important and Duna took her responsibility very seriously. As she finished getting dressed she got a call on her Dinaurian pager, it was King Dynal. "Good morning your majesty." "Good morning Duna, and for the millionth time you don't need to say your majesty every time we talk." "Sorry father, did you call about the meeting?" "Actually I did" Dynal replied. "I was thinking that maybe you should have Max come as a royal guest for this meeting." Duna sat on her bed with a shocked look on her face. "But, a lot of the higher-ups hate him, they think that he turned me against the Dinaurians." "That's why I want to have him there, so we can show them what he is really like." "Ok, I'll ask him when he wakes up" Duna said after taking a deep breath to try and calm her nerves. She had a really bad feeling about this.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep* Max woke up as his alarm started blaring in his ear. He rolled out of bed still half asleep, he got into his usual clothes as all he could think about was going back to sleep, he was up really late the night before making a new video talking about Vivosaur typing. It was going to be shown at his new fighter school. Max finished getting dressed and walked over to Duna's room to say good morning, however she was already waiting for him outside of her room. "Good morning princess, you're up early." "Yeah I had to get ready for the royal meeting" "Ohhhh right that's today" Max said as Duna gave him an annoyed look for forgetting. "Dynal asked me to invite you as a royal guest. "But don't the higher-ups hate me?" "Most of them do, that's why he wants you to come, in order to show them what you and the other humans are really like" "Ok…" Max agreed nervously, he didn't have a good feeling either.
After getting breakfast from their favorite diner they headed to the fossil center to use the teleporter. They waved to Wendy at the desk and make their way down to the teleporter. When they get down to the warehouse where they see working on a time machine. "Hey, " "Hey you two, you heading to the mothership?" "Yeah, is the teleporter up and running?" "yeah, I finished the maintenance last night" "Awesome, we'll be back soon," Max said as they were teleported to the ship.
"Max, are you sure you want to do this ?" Dynal asked him with a nervous look on his face. "If it'll help them see what humans are really like then it's worth it" "Ok, just know that they will be very unkind, but you're gonna need to take it." With that, they walked into the room full of standing Dinaurians, and they all were staring at Max.
"And the last thing on the agenda for today has to do with our guest, as many of you know this is Max, he is Duna's boyfriend and someone who is very important to the royal family. He allowed me to see a side of humans that I did not think existed, and I believe that more of you need to see that side as well, Max, you have the mic"
"Do you think that was ok Duna?' Max said as they sat in Duna's old room on the mothership. "It was more than ok Max, I think they really saw the side of you that I saw at ." A sigh of relief poured over Max, when he was talking he could feel every eye locked on him, judging his every word, it was exhausting. "Wanna go watch a movie at the hotel?" Duna said seeing that Max needed to relax. "I could really use that Duna, like really bad." With that Max and Duna walked out of the Fossil Center after being teleported back to earth, and walked into the hotel as the sun set behind them.
