Chapter 2 : Waiting for Onee-san

I was very surprised at what is happening now. Why am I in the middle of the forest?

Is this why I am feeling that something is weird. Only my room is along with me.

Guh... what should I do? Where is my big sister?

Then I heard my stomach grumbling.

"Uuu... I am so hungry now..."

Should I go out? I am very very hungry!~~

My Onee-san is not here. Sakuya-san is also not here. I don't even see Patchouli-san.

I am not even at our manor. Only my room is besides me. There is nothing else.

Ugh... my stomach is protesting. I wanted to eat now!

"Well... I will come back after looking for my meal. I am a good girl so I will come back to my room and wait for them. For now, let's look for something to eat"

With that decided, I walk out of my room. To the forest that was very foreign to me.

This is my first time seeing the sunlight again since a long time ago. Though, it weakens me and I felt somewhat uncomfortable at being exposed by it, it felt like a novel experience to me.

Though I must find a food fast before I collapsed in the ground. It would be bad if Onee-san find me being cooked alive by Sun-san.

So with that, I walk around the forest. But I didn't go too far. I don't want to be lost and never see my room again. It would be the only hint for Onee-san and the others to find me.

So I just go around the forest while making sure that I didn't got far on my room. Whenever I felt that I am getting farther, I go back on my steps and then go back to my room.

Now I won't be lost! But I won't be able to hunt for my food...

"Hm?"

I tried using my nose to let find some meal and then I smell some blood nearby.

Onee-san taught me how to differentiate the smell of blood and how to tell if what we are smelling is blood or not. I am thankful for that knowledge because it would help me find my food now.

Still, this is the smell of blood but I can't tell what kind of blood it is. It doesn't smell like Youkai blood but it alsp doesn't smell like human blood. It wasn't also the smell of a fairy's blood.

I don't know what kind of blood it is but because it is blood, it's a food that I can eat!

I immediately run through the direction where I can sense it. It only took me a short time because it was very near. Just some walks away on my room.

I found the source of the smell. All of it are hanging on a tree.

They are shaped like a pear with a blood red hue all over it. Each of it's size is just as large as my hand.

They are crimson red fruits. The fruits smells like blood.

Along with those fruits are other fruits hanging besides them.

I jumped on one of the branches to take one of the bunch of the fruits and take a bite of it.

"Oh... sweet!~"

I exclaimed in shock as I took a bite of the red fruit.

It tastes sweet and it also was filling me. It was the tastiest blood I ever tasted!~

I immediately plucked a bunch of these fruit and carried it all with my hands. I go back to my room with a joyful feeling.

"With this, I can stave off my hunger while waiting for Remilia Onee-san!~~"

After having that fruit, I stayed at my room and ate the fruits whenever I got hungry. After eating two or three fruits, I put it on my drawer so I can eat it later before I go back to bed to sleep.

Because Sakuya-san is not here, I need to save up on my food. That's why I always eat three or two of those fruits before sleeping.

When I am out of those fruits, I will just come back on that tree because there are a lot of it growing in there.

So I am still waiting for my Onee-san to come and take me home.

These took me a few days. I am just repeating my new routine now. I sleep, I eat, then I sleep again. Sometimes I go out to take some fruits and if I found something interesting, I also took it to have a look at it in my room.

There are some weird flowers that I got which also have the scent of blood in it so I took it all and planted it besides my room. It was amazing when it grows even without giving it any water.

There are also some fruits that I found on the trees that I picked up and ate some of it. All of it are delicious.

I was planning to ask Patchouli-san if she knows about these fruits when Onee-san finally took me back to our manor.

There are nothing to drink around. Thankfully, the blood red fruit was juicy enough so it can stave off my thirst for awhile.

I've been waiting for Onee-san to get here. What's taking them so long?

While I was thinking like that inside while lying on my bed inside my room, I sensed someone approaching.

"Onee-san... no it's not her"

I can smell their blood. It was very different to what I am familiar of. Right now, it was moving at my direction very fast.

"I should meet them"

I go outside and then jumped at the flat roof of my room. I sensed them somewhere on the direction and I think they are above so I look at the skies.

From there I see a dot that was quickly becoming larger coming to my direction.

When it got closer that I can see them carefully, I was confused. Isn't that a dragon?

Onee-san said that dragons are dangerous. They are the most strongest beings on Gensokyo. She also gave me some pictures just so I can understand what to expect.

But this dragon that was approaching me is not the dragon that Onee-san showed me. It was a dragon that I mostly read on fairytales.

Unlike the real dragons who are serpentine in nature and can swim through the clouds, this dragon looks like a bipedal dinosaur with large bat wings on it's back. It's whole body was covered in spiky green reptilian scales and it's gaze looks very malicious.

"YOU CUR!"

Then it angrily yelled those words at my direction.

"Huh?"

Why is he angry with me? Did I do something bad?

"YOU DARE INTRUDE UPON MY DOMAIN! YOUR DEATH SHALL BE THE PAYMENT FOR YOUR INSOLENCE!"

Oh... it seems like Green Dragon-san is very angry at me now.

I wonder what I should do with him?~
