[~Can't Stop The Rush~]

Her shoulders, her neck. The line of her jaw, her cheeks, her forehead. Every part of Caroline's face was peppered with kisses. Warm and hot. Lazy and sensual. Slowly she was roused from her deep sleep, her senses slowly awaking to the world and the mouth over her skin that brought a smile to her lips. She stretched content feeling comfortable and relaxed.

That was until she slowly opened her eyes and realized where she was and how she was been woken up.

Klaus was hovering above her, waking her up with kisses and the smile vanished from her face as she was brought to reality harshly. She stiffened underneath Klaus' body and jolted her head to the side to avoid his kiss.

His eyes narrowed and his lips stretched to an angry line at her reluctance.

She swallowed harshly hating the way she felt so vulnerable underneath him. There was no barrier between their bodies and given the flimsy nightgown she wore she was practically naked under Klaus. Her legs were bare, entangled with his. His hands moved on her body. His hair was ruffled and his stubble tingled her flesh and she wanted nothing more than to bury her fingers in his curls and bring him closer. There was an ache low in her belly that wouldn't go away.

This couldn't be happening. She had to get away.

"Good morning sweetheart," Klaus' husky voice chased away the last haze of her sleep and in his eyes, there was a wickedness in response to her rejection that should have alarmed her. Before she could react Klaus got up pulling her along with him and the world turned upside down.

She yelped and frantically tried to grab onto anything that would balance her but everything moved vertically.

Klaus had thrown her over his shoulder!

"What are you doing?" she screeched kicking her legs feeling as if they would both tumble down.

Klaus didn't seem to care though. He moved around carrying her like a sack of potatoes but acting as if she weighed nothing.

"I am going to have a shower and you are joining me," he informed her nonchalantly as if what he was doing was normal and she started struggling harder while he kept walking towards the door that led to the bathroom of the master suite.

"The hell I am!" she yelled, her palms hitting his back and Klaus' chuckled.

It was a cold laugh and Caroline realized that this was payback for how she reacted when she woke up in his arms.

Her heart started pounding in fear and Caroline tried to pull away but it was like trying to move a mountain. A mountain that had managed to get her into the shower stall and was already turning on the water.

She fought even harder when water started splashing. Klaus was already naked and by the time he lowered her down his body was shining with droplets of water.

"Let me out," she yelled and tried to punch him only for him to arch a brow at her and shove her under the showerhead keeping her there against her will until she became completely drenched. She tried to move away from the punishing stream of the cold water that completely woke her up but Klaus wouldn't let her. Water blinded her, she choked and coughed and only when she stopped fighting Klaus' hold eased up enough for her to take a small step back letting the water slosh between their bodies.

"Don't do this," she mumbled this time her voice weak in her pleading.

Klaus' response was to push her against the glass. She hated her weakness and what he was doing to her and tears soon blinded her more than the water had.

"Don't cry," he bit out harshly and Caroline shook her head desperately.

The nightgown she wore was now wet and transparent sticking on her skin and she let out a moan when Klaus' hands reached for the straps and pushed the wet fabric of her body until the gown pooled around her legs leaving her completely naked.

Klaus kicked the wet gown away and Caroline shrank back trying to pull away from him once more but he caged her in with his hands. The water was hitting his back and his eyes were so dark that undiluted fear invaded her senses.

Despite her fear, however, she locked her accusing gaze with his.

"You said you wouldn't force me."

"We are not having sex," he pointed out and Caroline glared at him.

"This is still-"

She couldn't find the words. She was so upset. So vulnerable and humiliated.

So hurt.

She tried to cover her body with her hands.

"What?" Klaus pressured her to continue, his eyes taking in every inch of her naked body mocking her attempt to hide what he had already seen and touched a thousand times and she felt as if she was out of breath.

"A violation," she whispered faltering.

"True," he agreed with her with a careless shrug and her fear completely vanished and got replaced with white-hot fury.

"You are such an ass!" she screamed at him hitting his chest hard with her fists making him smirk amused for a moment before he grabbed her arms and kept them trapped above her head against the glass.

Caroline's eyes opened wide as she realized how truly exposed and helpless she was against him.

"Let's get something straight love," Klaus fumed, letting his anger come through, "You are mine!" he growled and Caroline started heaving, "I own you. Every part of you. Even those you want to hide from me or keep to yourself. It won't happen," he warned her. He was so perceptive and she hated it. She hated him!

Klaus held both of her wrists trapped in his palm while he used his other hand to grip her chin and force her to look at him.

"From now on you will be sleeping in my bed, you will be joining me in the shower, you will be at my beck and call at any time and yes sweetheart I will have access to your body," he threatened her before he eased up his hold against her face, his voice softening a little as his gaze intently locked with hers, "as you will have to mine."

Caroline gasped at that declaration. Klaus was acting as if she was nothing but an object and at the same time, she could see that what he wanted the most was for her to claim him too. To own him. To use him for her pleasure. The message was clear. She had access to his body too. He wanted her to initiate everything between them. Sexual or otherwise and he would comply. He would let her have him. Because in his mind the only option was for them to be together. For her to want him, to be with him. Willingly…or not.

He wanted her to have him, that much was clear. He was giving her that choice while when it came to her he was giving her no choice. In his mind, she belonged to him. Body and soul and he would take both whenever he wanted and she hated him for that. She hated him for everything. For everything, he wanted to give her and for everything, he took from her against her will.

He had never been like this before and now she was facing a possessive stranger that had no boundaries and wanted to violate every single thought of hers. Not just her body. And that scared her the most. She didn't know how to keep him out of her heart and mind like this. Not when he was set on conquering all that she wanted to keep from him. He had seen right through her intentions and he was set on destroying her.

What hurt the most was that if she didn't give he would take and he would humiliate her in doing so. That would be her punishment. She just didn't know which was worse. Her to become the loving girlfriend that would forgive and forget all of Klaus' transgressions and act as if she had no mind or personality again or to be the reluctant participant that Klaus would have to force and bent to his will. Both were demeaning in their own cruel away.

Maybe this was the end of the road for her. Maybe she should just spread her legs for him and let him have what he wanted until there would be nothing left of her.

Klaus' fingers caressed her jaw slowly, his eyes darkening even further. He seemed to hate this as much as she did.

"I won't fuck you until you beg for it," he sworn and she swallowed down harshly. His uncanny ability to answer to the thoughts she never said out loud had always been creeping her out but now even more so, "but I will have everything else," he promised her and the menace in his words was battling the need and the desire and it was a blend that both excited and horrified her. What was wrong with her? How could be so terrified and aroused at once?

Klaus' head dropped and he bit her earlobe making a foggy chilled breath escape her lips.

"I will touch, I will caress," he vowed as his tongue licked the length of her neck slowly making her shiver. He then let her hands free and the back of his palms caressed the length of her arms until his knuckles brushed the arc of her breasts, slowly, "I will play and you will let me because-"

Caroline's hands fell to her sides. She was defeated. She knew that Klaus held all the cards. She knew that he practically owned her. That was why she was here and not back in Virginia. That was why she had no freedom. He didn't have to say it so she said it for him.

"I have no other option," she muttered and Klaus kissed her cheek fondly making her close her eyes sadly.

Klaus's palms possessively splayed over the curve of her backside bringing her closer until her breasts smashed on his chest. The connection sent electricity throughout her body. Her head dropped against Klaus' shoulder and he kissed the top of her head. She let him.

"You don't," Klaus hummed and gently pushed her under the water. Caroline stood under the cold water until Klaus adjusted the temperature making comfortable heat engulf her body soothingly, "the sooner you come to terms with it the better."

Las Vegas

Elijah Mikaelson set his newspaper to the side when his wife, a siren covered in provocative lace and silk, approached him from behind and wrapped her arms around him. She kissed him on the cheek before she reached for his coffee.

His lovely Katerina would never drop that annoying habit of hers but today of all days he was past the point of pretending as if he was frustrated with her for stealing his coffee. There were more important matters to worry about.

Katherine sat in the chair next to him enjoying the sunny weather and his coffee before she noticed that something was not quite right.

She took a bite from her croissant, her eyes scrutinizing him and he leaned back into his seat and waited.

"What's wrong?" she asked him and Elijah pushed his napkin on the glass surface of the table. His fingers tapped on the pristine white cloth.

"Your cousin is back in New York," Elijah informed his wife and noticed how she froze before her lips curled into a tentative smile.

"Caroline is back?" she exclaimed enthusiastically only for her excitement to vanish in worry just as fast as it appeared.

"But if she's back then that means-"

Elijah inclined his head solemnly.

"My brother has her."

Katherine's eyes gleamed with both fear and anger before she got up and strode back to their hotel suite leaving him alone in the patio.

Elijah rubbed his jaw with his fingers in deep thought.

It had been only a few hours but he hoped that Klaus hadn't messed up his relationship with lovely Caroline beyond repair.

If so, Elijah knew he wouldn't forgive himself for what he had done but it was of paramount importance for Caroline Forbes to come back. She was the only one that could stop Klaus from going down a road from which he would never be able to return.

Without Caroline, Klaus seemed to lack his humanity completely. The things he had done in her absence could make even the most hardened criminals cry in terror. Any light this girl had brought to his brother's life vanished the moment she left him.

Klaus always pretended that love was a weakness and that all he felt for Caroline was fickle and was more connected to his pride rather to his heart only Elijah new better.

Klaus wanted Caroline before she was even legal and he had claimed her the very day she turned eighteen but he had failed to notice how Caroline claimed his heart. Back then Klaus pretended as if he had brought Caroline to his bed and turned her into his mistress only to spite their father Mikael but Elijah had seen the way his eyes lit up every time that girl smiled. If that hadn't been the case Elijah wouldn't have allowed his brother to taint that girl because it was obvious that Niklaus didn't deserve Caroline. Somehow though his brother cared for her.

Otherwise he would have interfered. If it had been necessary Elijah would have kept her for himself as Mikael had insisted but alas he hadn't wanted to lose his brother over a woman. A woman that had infatuated Niklaus from the moment he laid eyes on her.

In their youth, they had fought over the heart of a woman, something that almost destroyed them, but Tatia was nothing compared to Klaus' sunshine girl.

Elijah had never seen Klaus being so happy before and when Caroline was gone all his happiness had gone with her.

His brother had turned even more into a monster in the last four years and very soon Elijah feared Niklaus would turn into a creature without any hope of redemption and he just couldn't allow this to happen.

Elijah knew that Katerina wouldn't forgive him if she found out what he had done but family was above all and he had to save his brother's soul before it was too late. And he truly believed Caroline was the key.

It was no coincidence that he had taken his wife to a trip in Las Vegas just as Klaus found Carolineee and brought his beloved back to New York. The distraction he provided would earn Klaus a few hours. Hopefully, in those hours Niklaus would mend and not destroy even though Elijah feared that his brother's darkness and temper would be bad advisors. He didn't think he would ever harm Caroline physically but there were more ways to destroy rather than brute force and Klaus was a master at those too. That idiot brother of his could be very well destroying his only chance to happiness.

Elijah knew that some damage control would have to take place and this was where his wife came in but he had to first give some time to Klaus and Caroline. For doing so he brought Katherine here.

Katherine loved the Sin City; she had been excited by this impromptu vacation and loved how he bought her a new casino for her upcoming birthday but Elijah knew his wife was smart enough to connect the dots eventually.

In the meantime, he knew that Katherine Pierce Mikaelson was about to go get her cousin back but Elijah knew that Niklaus wouldn't let her.

He wouldn't let Katherine take Caroline from him, Katherine wouldn't back down and then he would have to go and intervene.

The very least it would be an interesting day Elijah thought as he reached for his coffee.

For once he could enjoy his beverage in peace without Katherine snatching it from him. And so he did while he could hear past the balcony doors Katherine ordering his men around.

"Poor Niklaus. Hell hath no fury like a woman on a mission," Elijah muttered with a smirk.

And true enough Katherine was on a mission.

To save Caroline Forbes from Klaus Mikaelson.
