A/N: I got an idea in the middle of this, that's why one particular sentence might seem strange. Hopefully, you like this chapter, no matter how short it is :)

Chapter 2:

It didn't take long for Corazon to adopt Law, legally.

Corazon smirked at that. Legally. He has thought he'd never hear that word again. He's been doing illegal stuff almost all of life, it felt nice to be one the side of the law. At Least most of the time…

Right now he was stuck doing paperwork for the Marines. He knew how Sengoku felt now. Always cramped in a room reading piles and piles of papers. Making sure he understood what they meant and put them into the correct piles.

And right now, Law was stuck at home doing school work. Which he didn't completely despise, it's just that he'd rather spend his time with Corazon or grandpa Sengoku.

It was weird to call someone grandpa, especially Sengoku. But over the few months they've known each other, they've gotten close. And him and Corazon got close. Nothing really bothered him about being adopted by Corazon, other than Corazon always gushing about him to other people at any chance he's given.

Example:

Now, Law didn't really mind going to the marine base. Other than when he bumped into Garp.

Like this incident that happened only a week ago.

"Garp!" Corazon smiled, but also sweat dropped. He was always worried around Garp, and Law couldn't blame him. Garp was scary, and crazy. "I thought you were back at Fushia?"

"Gwahahaha!" Garp laughed, eating a rice cracker. "I was only there for my grandson's birthday." Garps expression turned from his usually wacky face to one of… admiration? Love? Law couldn't really tell. "He just turned 3, you know?" Garp pulled out a photo of a toddler. "He's getting so big!"

Corazon relaxed. Then immediately pulled out pictures of Law. Embarrassing pictures of when he was a baby. Where did he get them?

"Awww~ He's so cute!" Corazon gushed over Garp's grandson. "This is when Law was a baby! Look how chubby he was!" Garp laughed and they told embarrassing stories about their kids.

End example.

Law didn't really know what the problem with Garp was, all he knew was that he had an almost unhealthy obsession with his "cute grandson". Though, he'd admit, the kid was cute. Even with his disability.

He was happy that he had a family that cared for him. And he was happy that he got to live in his little house in a little town, comforted by the cool calm winds. He was lucky, and for once, in a long time, was happy. Really happy.

"I'm glad." Law looked behind him to his room's door, Corazon was there smiling. Law realized that he's been voicing his thoughts out-loud. And that was okay. Because he wanted Corazon to know how he felt. "I'm really happy too."
