(Sonic's POV)
I don't know how well I can handle with my body being haunted by a being inside me. But he did save me from being nearly killed by a demented ghost. And from a psycho too.
But I seriously don't like the death and murdering.
"Would you grow up, Sonic? If they find out you have a host in you, perhaps they'll understand" EXE said in my head.
"Understand that you killed psychopaths in my place? Yeah, sure they'll understand that I'm a murderer" I said as I found the place that was supposedly filled with nightshade plants.
"There they are" I saw them.
"I hate nightshade plants" EXE said.
"Would you calm down? I'm sure those toxic plants are dead for years" I said as I went inside.
Sure enough there aren't any nightshade plants but this place looks very dead. I turned on my flashlight to see inside. Someone really doesn't want anyone in or out. It was really dark and no sign of anything haunted here. I took out my infrared camera to catch any figures that are ghosts.
"Hmmmm…. Where could it be?" I wondered.
I went upstairs that leads to the upper building and suddenly my infrared caught something moving through the walls.
"I sense it's here" EXE said.
"Please tell me it's a good ghost or a bad ghost. Be very honest and sincere to me" I said.
"This one has been a very dangerous criminal" EXE said and made us jump out to find it.
"Uhh...how exactly?" I asked nervously.
"For making darts with nightshade toxins to kill innocent victims" EXE said in my head.
"Sounds bad enough for me" I said.
Then the ghost suddenly appears.
"Ahhh! And his chills are very ice cold!" I freaked out from what he looked like.
"And I feel hungry for a nasty soul" EXE said in my head.
"Alright have it your way. Mask!" I said.
"COPY!" EXE took over and chased after the ghost.
"That ghost is moving too fast!" I said.
"You can't catch me!" The killer ghost said.
"I can get him!" EXE stretched my arm to catch the ghost.
"NO! LET ME GO!" The ghost screamed as EXE grabs him and pulls him in.
"Restless you are but you should be punished in hell for the bad criminal deeds you did when you were alive" EXE grinned viciously.
"What the hell are you?" The ghost asked.
"We are Sonic EXE!" Our voices were mixed when we said that.
"Your soul is mine" EXE sucked the ghost like a vacuum in his mouth to kill the ghost.
"Oh satisfied now?" I asked.
"Just putting them to rest" EXE said.
"Man, it's like you've been hungry for so long from your imprisonment" I said.
"I've been waiting to consume souls for a time. And I will continue so to survive" EXE said.
"Do you have a home to go to?" I asked.
"Yes, a dimension of my kind but no one in your world can open a portal to a different dimension. My world exiled me thousands of years ago" EXE said.
"And why did they?" I wondered.
"They thought I was demented and crazy. But I was framed by a shadowy creature that takes the form of a victim's shadow. His name is Mephiles and he's the most powerful being in my dimension. He's in your world somewhere, waiting to be found" EXE said in my head.
"And he's an evil being, right? How evil is he?" I asked, walking around to find more ghosts.
"More than you could ever know. He feels no remorse, pity or regret" EXE said.
"Sounds like an evil being. It's like you and him never got along" I said, going into the room but no ghost.
"Yes. He does not care whoever he kills" EXE said.
"Geez, sounds very ugly for a guy that can't get along with anyone" I said.
"Yes. But who knows where he is" EXE said.
"If he takes the form of the person's shadow, what happens to the person?" I asked.
"The victims fall into a permanent sleep. If the victim's shadow is not returned back, the victim fades into nothing and Mephiles will become a real being. Like a victim's shadow coming to life" EXE said.
"Dear god. Well we better go back" I said.
"Yes. And I don't sense any bad ghosts. Just good ghosts struggling to find the light" EXE said.
"Maybe the computer can find signs of Mephiles" I said.
"Your world doesn't know Mephiles" EXE said.
"Not a bit" I said.
"My point exactly" EXE said.

On my way to the headquarters, I showed the photo images of the ghost in these infrared camera pics.
"Huh, you're getting better finding the ghosts Sonic" Tails said.
"Yup, my fur still is standing up from all the ghost chills in the air" I said to Tails.
"And I thought you didn't fear ghosts" Tails said, looking at the pictures.
"Sometimes I do but that doesn't mean I'm scared of them. Bravery is what counts to be scared of something until you need courage to face it" I said.
"I understand Sonic" Tails said.
"Yeah. Now that I captured an image of a ghost figure from the infrared camera, that will be real enough than those lame photographs with those red circles" I said, going to my desk.
"Oh well, that will do" Silver said looking at them.
"Thanks Silver. Now I got more things to research" I excused myself.
"You need a break, Sonic. Too much ghost hunting will fill your head. Why don't you go see how Amy is doing" Silver suggested.
"Fine, but if a ghost possesses you, I hope you get it out of your mind" I teased.
"Alright" Silver said before leaving. He's right, I need to see Amy more.
"You sound desperate. Your pulse has quickened" EXE said in my head.
I ignored him as I head out of the headquarters to take a walk.
"This lady friend of yours reminds me of her. The one that Mephiles killed when he stole her shadow form" EXE said.
"Sounds like you've been through a lot. What was your lady friend like?" I asked.
"Well she was like me into consuming souls and she was swooning soon as she saw me" EXE said.
"Wow, it's like you two were ghost hunters. Is that how Mephiles framed you by killing your lover and making everyone believe that you killed her. And that's how they exiled you by sealing you in a diamond and banish you from a different dimension?" I asked.
"Yes, exactly like that. She was everything to me until Mephiles killed her in front of me. I tried hunting him down until everyone in my world turned against me" EXE said.
"I'm sorry to hear that" I said to EXE.
"Its fine, really. Your lady truly reminds me of her so much. I can't bear to have your friend dead. It's so painful to feel hurt to lose a dead friend or a lover" EXE said.
"Is there some way you can go back in the past and change it? You gotta have some power to do it" I said.
"No, I cannot do that. Changing the past has a lot of consequences that can change the entire history. Including your world" EXE said.
"I guess you're right. Oh no. Not him again" I saw Dexter going up to Amy's house.
"Your anger is rising. Who is that?" EXE asked.
"Amy's ex. He broke his heart the other day. Don't reveal yourself to him or Amy will get scared. I'll handle this" I said.
"Alright then" EXE reluctantly said.
I walked up to Dexter from reaching Amy's door, "You caused enough heartbreak on that innocent girl, dumbass. Don't expect that she'll give you a chance" I glared at him.
"Why? You two broke up remember because of your job" Dexter said.
"That was back then, but she and I are repairing it" I said.
"Well I'm repairing my relationship with her" Dexter scoffed.
"And what? Break her heart again or just use her as a toy to hook up with other girls? You don't know the meaning of loyalty and faithful. She tried to be faithful to you but you could not see how desperate and depressed she was. And when she needed you, what do you do? Ditch her to hook up with another girl? What did that made Amy feel? Tell me right now!" I glared angrily.
He had nothing to say but he refused to listen to his actions of what he did to her.
"I don't care! You were never there for her" Dexter scoffed.
"Dexter, I'm warning you. Don't try to talk to her. You broke her heart. If you keep begging her to give you a chance, you'll just destroy her psyche like you almost did" I warned him.
Amy opened the door and saw us arguing, "Dexter? I told you to stay away from me! Sonic, please get that creep away from me please" Amy begged like her life depends on it.
"Amy, I dumped that girl. I want you back" Dexter begged but I went up to Amy to protect her well being.
"No Dexter, I'm just tired of your lies. You have no idea what you put me through. Just go away and get out of my life" Amy said with tears.
"You trust that ex of yours over me?" Dexter said.
"He does not break my heart by cheating on me" Amy glared at him.
"You heard her Dexter, leave because I don't wanna fight you" I said.
"I refuse!" Dexter yelled.
I pushed Amy inside the house and lunged myself at Dexter outside the house.
"Dexter, stop! You'll destroy her psyche! Move on!" I pushed him away.
"Says the one who left her first!" Dexter pinned me at the wall.
"Says the one who lied to her so many times when she wanted to spend some time with you but you ditch her for another girl!" I headbutt him in the face.
"AAAGH!" Dexter stumbled back in pain, he looked at his hands seeing blood, his nose was bleeding, "You broke my nose!"
"Now you know how that feels? Breaking her heart is painful. Getting a broken nose is exactly the same pain in the heart" I glared.
"Heh! Well prepare to be squashed!" Dexter threw a punch but suddenly EXE took over and caught his fist.
"Nuh uh! Allow me!" I punched at him making him land at the pavement.
"What the hell?!" Dexter was shocked.
"What's wrong? Scared?" EXE taunted him.
"What are you?" Dexter stuttered.
"I'll say this one more time. Stay away from Amy or you'll suffer my wrath. Don't make me kill you because Amy wouldn't want that" I said with a distorted voice and it made Dexter gulped in fear and runs off scared.
"Should have let me eat him" EXE said.
"And let Amy see that?" I asked.
"Sonic?! Oh god. Your eyes and teeth?!" Amy ran up to me and shocked at what she saw.
"Amy, don't panic" I quickly said before I felt myself normal again.
"What the hell just happened?!" She freaked out.
I couldn't explain outside so I quickly carried her in my arms and inside her house, "Amy, calm down. I...I have...a ghost...haunting my body" I told her the honest truth, "Please hear me out" I begged her to listen.
"You have what?!" Amy gasped.
"Amy calm down!" I begged but she was so scared.
"How long has it been in you?" Amy asked.
"For like two days" I said.
"It didn't hurt you did it?" Amy asked.
"Yeah it did. It felt like smoke getting inside of me" I said.
"We gotta get it out of you" Amy said.
"We can't. He saved me from evil ghosts. He...he can't survive without a living body. And he would never harm you or my friends. He's...been through a rough prison and...he lost someone that he ever loved. He said that you remind him of his lover" I explained.
"He does?" Amy asked.
"Yes, you do" EXE spoke through me.
"Aaah!" Amy jumped.
"EXE! You're scaring her!" I told him off.
"Don't be frighten, dear. I would never harm your blue friend" EXE said calmly through my mouth.
"Stop! Just let her calm down for a bit until she's ready to talk to you" I said with my own voice.
"Sonic, please tell me...did you do that on the criminals on the news?" Amy asked nervously.
I sighed in defeat, "Yes but it was him that killed these psychopaths in my place. I did not have intentions to kill. They were insane and completely psycho if it weren't for the ghost saving my ass. Would you feel hurt and broken if I got my ass killed by them?" I asked her in a desperate feeling.
"I would. But I'm just glad no one else knows about this. But it's gonna be hard for me now" Amy said.
"Ames, I know this is hard to believe but the ghost inside me knows everything about me and my life. He would never harm good people" I said.
"Okay but still, I'm glad the public does not know it was you and him" Amy said.
"But they will sooner or later. Please tell me you're ready to talk to him? I know he's scary but he's being honest" I said.
"Okay. Ahem. So you saved Sonic from the psychos?" Amy asked while trying to keep herself calm.
"Yes I did. I know killing is not something you like to see but sometimes we don't have a choice but to survive. Amy, right? I didn't mean to scare you by beating that Dexter guy. He just couldn't take a hint" EXE spoke through my mouth.
We touched her quills gently, "You are so pure and innocent like a flower, my dear. So innocent that you should never suffer from a thorn on a rose" He said.
"It's okay. I really hate that Dexter now. And thank you for defending me" Amy said.
"No problem. But remember, if that Dexter guy comes back with an army, I won't show mercy. All I want is you to be alive and healthy, little flower. You remind me of her. That's what made so softer" EXE said.
"Okay, Okay, Okay. Don't get too attached to her, EXE. She's not your original lover" I held myself back away from her.
"I'm just being polite. What's wrong with that?" EXE fighting my mouth.
"Give me a break. I care for her well-being" I said.
Amy giggles at the sight of me fighting with myself literally. But technically I'm trying regain control of my own body.
"Sorry" I said embarrassed.
"See? She likes both of us" EXE said in my head.
"Shut up in my head. So...uh...you agree with EXE's deal? If Dexter comes back again, EXE will have a long scary talk with him" I said.
"Alright, to scare him into submission" Amy said.
"And if he tries to kill him, I'll be sure he doesn't" I said.
"Please EXE. Don't kill anyone in Sonic's place" Amy said.
"Deal" EXE said.
"Minus the psychopaths. One nearly tried to kill me" I said.
"Oh yes" EXE nodded.
