Kyd Wykkyd was running. It was his fault that he had tripped security at the bank and also that he had chosen to do the heist on his own. The stolen goods jingled in his full pockets and sweat poured down his face. Panting heavily, Kyd began to wonder if he could continue after he urgently fled the jewelry shop. He pelted down the eerie streets of Jump City, his cape billowing in the howling wind and was beginning to lose stamina. The moon shone dully, yet still bright enough for him to locate a dark, grimy alleyway. Swallowing his pride, he slid behind a pile of filthy trash bags, some even leaking out and he shuddered violently. He immensely loathed such atrocious mess, and unhygienic filth. Kyd pounced nimbly behind the dirty piles of rubbish, cowering away behind it and reluctantly took off his mask. It was awkwardly shaped so it would immediately give away his position. Also, he despised his strange appearance and only resulted in such dire measures unless he felt it was completely necessary. Anyone would understand if you had long, pointed ears, amber eyes and a sickly blue complexion.

Suddenly, he heard them pelting forwards. The loud, metallic crashes as Cyborg raced raucously, behind a swift and agile Robin. The whoosh as Starfire whizzed forwards and the hurried flap of a bird's wings as Beast Boy struggled to hasten to his fellow worst part was that Raven was completely silent, an eerie prospect that sent his head spinning was side to side paranoidly. Kyd sank lower behind the disgusting rubbish and slowed his breathing. After racing desperately, it left him tired and he couldn't afford such a vast vulnerability if he were to fight. He yearned to just teleport away but it really wasn't that simple, as much as he desired that to be the case. Initially, he needed to be fully charged, which was one less advantage he possessed. Secondly, he required a second of entire concentration to succeed in such a feat, and if he was being truthful to himself, with the tension bubbling inside of him, that was impossible.

"Split up! We will find him!,"Robin ordered dutifully, shortly followed by understanding murmurs.

Kyd Wykkyd pressed himself further to the cold, damp ground and suppressed his ragged panting. He clutched the wealthy jewels and treasures in his hand and felt the hard metal bite back. He would earn a fortune for this. His heart fluttered panickedly as rapid footsteps neared, too clumsy to be Robin. It was evidently Beast Boy. He had learned to identify them after the many attempts the HIVE FIVE had tried to successfully bring back wealth and riches, or merely desired items.

In fact, the only reason Kyd had even bothered to steal jewelry was because he had been immensely dry in the money department. Jinx had had an admirable series of successful bank robberies and he had yearned for that stunning extent of cash. Kyd had cajoled her desperately, flattered her (which only seemed to make her laugh), pleaded pitifully until his deteriorating dignity could no longer take it. Instead, he had proposed to rob something in return for voluminous amounts of her treasury. Thoughtfully, Jinx agreed and handed Kyd the name of the shop to rob, a full list of required jewelries and even a tight deadline. Ultimately, he thoroughly regretted even imagining such a disastrous idea.

Beast Boy was approaching swiftly and morphed into a dog when he was mere inches away from Kyd. He held his breath suspensefully as Beast Boy sniffed cautiously. It would only be a couple of seconds before he was discovered. Thinking quickly, he brusquely grabbed a crushed beer can and tossed it as high as he could without detection. Kyd heard the faint sound as the crumpled can bound to the street ground. Immediately, Beast Boy jolted and darted in the other direction as he released a heavy breath. Kyd had narrowly eluded notice but he was fully aware it would only take so long for Beast Boy to realize he had been deceived. Afterwards, he would swiftly figure out what had happened and Kyd's cover would be blown for certain.

He tugged on his strange mask precisely and lunged out of his limited coverage to race yet again through the deserted streets. He tried to keep his quiet footsteps to a minimum as he splashed through the damp, gloomy road. At least, he had recovered slightly and a newfound determination fuelled his limbs to fend off the great temptation to stop at his aching muscles and painful stitch. This had better been worth the tremendous effort. He was now panting wearily but he continued with a dutiful frown plastered across his face.

Suddenly, a sharp birdarang whizzed inches past his nose and he staggered to an abrupt halt. Spinning around, Kyd saw Robin leap gracefully from an immensely tall building and whip out his staff with intimidating prowess.

"Return what you stole, Wykkyd,"he spat forcefully.

Kyd said nothing in response to his threatening comment. He clutched his cape strongly and charged at him. Robin ducked agilely from a sharp blow and struck his stomach with the end of his hard staff. Kyd flew onto the unforgiving road and scarcely evaded a vicious strike to the head by twisting out of the way. He lunged back on his feet and squatted nimbly as a well-aimed birdarang spun over his head. Kyd pounced to Robin's left and feigned to the right as Robin struggled to stay fixated on his ever-moving position. He slashed brutally at the middle of Robin's sturdy staff and it sliced in half with a satisfying noise. Robin gaped incredulously at his broken staff before swiftly discarding it carelessly on the gloomy streets. However, Kyd Wykkyd was like a stealthy predator and had already vanished into the oppressing darkness.

He smiled over-confidently, which unfortunately didn't last long. Kyd heard Robin scale back on the buildings but didn't look back-he had to keep going. Suddenly, he was blown back by an iridescent explosion of green fire. Staggering to his feet, Kyd grunted at the immense impact in which he had hit the damp ground with. It was sure to leave severe bruises. Kyd spent the next few minutes, barely eluding the fiery starbolts before disappearing away from sight. He sighed relieved as he had been starting to struggle to uphold such draining dodging.

He swiftly checked his pockets and groaned. An elegant pendant which Jinx had emphasised as her most fervent desire had been lost and he was estimating it occured during his sharp sparr with Robin. Grinding his teeth, Kyd pelted back, spinning desperately for a tell-tale glimmer or sparkle. There was none.

However, his urgent search was impeded by a menacing shadow flicker before him. He stumbled back as it revealed to be Raven, holding out the impressive pendant.

"You want this? Come and get it,"she deadpanned dryly.

Kyd scowled, piqued before pouncing to her agilely. She swiftly evaded a ferocious slash to her hand and sent a powerful beam of dark magic flying towards him. He lunged out of the way but still wasn't rapid enough. It clipped his shoulder and he moaned at sharp pain before staggering away from a filthy bin thrown at him. He allowed himself to dream of the glorious rewards at the end of this stupid heist and with a swift manuever, kicked her hand as he hard as he could. Raven yelped as Kyd Wykkyd raced and pocketed the pendant quickly, darting further down the gloomy streets.

He was tiring noticeably and had to lean against the brick wall, panting raggedly. His worn legs ached painfully and he clutched his stomach where a persistent stitch had arisen. Kyd most certainly wasn't up for teleporting, nor to continue but he'd rather face the irritating aches and disadvantages of exhaustion than five superheroes against only himself, tired and weakened. If he'd accepted Seemore's offer, maybe this tricky situation would be less dire. Finally, he reluctantly realized he couldn't stay any longer. He began to run clumsily, with only a desperate wish to succeed to fuel him.

However, trust his awful luck to crash into Cyborg. He had been facing the other direction, studying a screen on his arm when Kyd had accidently slammed into his hard back. Everything swam dizzily as Cyborg spun around, gawking as he realized what had actually happened. Dark blotches appeared in Kyd's vision and he attempted urgently to fend off the drearily, blank sensation of coming unconsciousness while staggering with immense disorientation. Cyborg selected his t-communicator and reported the unfortunate twist of events awkwardly.

"Err, Robin, Wykkyd crashed into my back and I think he took a blow to the head because... The point is, I'm sending you the coordinates,"he explained awkwardly.

Kyd was leaning unsteadily on the brick wall and gradually ejecting the dreadful dizziness. Cyborg watched warily.

"Right on Cy, I'll tell the others," Robin concluded dutifully.

The phone cut off and Cyborg turned back to examine his infirmed foe curiously. Kyd was slowly brimming back to wakefulness and soon able to curse himself vehemently as the world spun dizzily. He couldn't believe he had let himself lose that much focus so that he was at the mercy of the Teen Titan's. However, his gradual recovery was much too slow. The Titans had already arrived, watching me intently for cunning trickery. Evidently, they saw none, and exchanging confused looks, advanced cautiously. Kyd was in no state to fight, not only greatly outnumbered but also weakened. The team grew more confident of their obvious defeat and strided fearlessly towards Kyd Wykkyd.

"Well done,Cy! We should get you to stand in front of running villains in the future!,"Beast Boy chuckled brightly.

"Would that not lead to the friend Cyborg being attacked from behind?,"Starfire enquired quizzically.

Cyborg raised his eyebrows at Beast Boy and he blushed profusely. Raven rolled her eyes sarcastically.

"Yep, that's Beast Boy's brilliant idea,"she snapped sardonically.

Beast Boy glowered defeatedly. Robin looked a little fed up with his friend's fruitless bickerings and gave them an imploring glare full of piqued implications. They all stopped chattering distractedly and the titans faced Kyd Wykkyd, who had blanched at the supposed spinning. Even though he was now useless in a brawl against five, super-powered heroes, he still had his tenacious cunning to be wielded. He threw his hands up in desperate surrender and Robin smirked amusedly. Kyd relaxed himself as he plodded calmly to them and to his immense relief, he received the much required concentration. Before the Teen Titan's very eyes, he miraculously vanished and they complained in bitter frustration.

Kyd appeared suddenly in the HIVE FIVE's spacious base and sank to the comfortable sofa. Seemore and Jinx were the only ones in the living room and their heads snapped to him. Seemore raced to his side and frowned concernedly because of Kyd's ragged breathing and unfocused eyes.

"Are you okay?,"Seemore cried worriedly.

Kyd nodded wearily and turned to Jinx who had wandered sassily to him, holding out her hand expectantly. He ripped through his pockets and deposited the precious loot in her eager hands. Seemore watched curiously, though with one concerned hand on his shoulder. Kyd twisted up to look at him and smiled tiredly as Jinx meticulously inspected the elegant jewelry with a pleased smile. However, her face soon fell.

"You've missed a ring. Your deadline is tomorrow!,"she exclaimed, amused by Kyd's mortified expression.

Kyd Wykkyd groaned.
