"Loki?" Frigga called, entering his room. He was seated on a chair that was at his desk, reading a book on magic. Loki turned to face Frigga.

"Yes, mother?" He questioned, with his voice lacking emotions.

"Seraphina is fine. It's been an appropriate time for her to start her magic training." The news made Loki want to leap for joy, smile, and be happy. It was an irregular feeling for him, he was just starting to try and get used to it again.

"When shall it start?" He asked, still lacking emotion.

"Two days from now."

Sera laid on the bench in the garden, first time she has been out all day. She decided to stay in bed, ignoring any food, or reason to get up. She didn't feel the mood to see anyone today. She didn't really know why. She pulled her black hair out of a ponytail and her hair fell past her chest, waves almost perfect. The moon shined, indicating the night was here. She felt like she had to be alone. The bench and plants near her began to freeze over, as well as the small river in the garden. The night breeze hitting Sera, and she smiled. She always liked the cold.

Loki was roaming around the palace, a little disappointed in not seeing Seraphina all day. Frigga told him that she refused to get out of bed. She didn't want to do anything, which was so unlike her. At least he thinks it is unlike her. It angers him that he has to show that he doesn't care. He sighed, giving up on looking for her, and went to the gardens, it's always so beautiful and peaceful this time. He walked in, feeling and abnormal cold and turned to see where it was coming from. That's when he saw her, Seraphina. She was laying on the bench and staring at the stars, singing some Midgardian song. He saw the plants freezing over and the little pond freezing over as well. The bridge over the pond was half-frozen, and Sera didn't even notice.

"Shouldn't you be inside?" He questioned, trying to sound emotionless. Sera jumped at the sudden voice and tried to quickly shrug it off.

"Shouldn't you be in prison?" She replied with a smirk, sitting up.

"They let me out."

"Yeah and now you're my mentor."

"You're training starts tomorrow." He tried to keep his voice straight.

"I know." She pushed her hair out of her face. "So what did you do?"

"I do not understand?"

"You were in prison, so what crime did you commit?"

"That is none of your business."

"It is when you're my mentor. Should I be able to trust some criminal?" She gave a mischievous smirk, practically identical to his.

"I was in a bad place, I am alright now. Do not think I am not trustworthy or that I will harm you. I will not do that." He said sternly and she nodded. "Are you not cold?"

"I'm not cold."

"You are freezing the bridge." Sera turned her head and gasped. "Oh no-" Before she could finish, Loki snapped his fingers and the ice disappeared.

"They picked me as your mentor for a reason."

"So you're good at magic?"

"The best in Asgard, probably all the nine realms even."

"Bravo." She smiled, showing her teeth. She looked so beautiful to him.

"Bravo?"

"It means good."

"Midgardians have such a weird language. "

"We have more than one."

"Oh yes, that's right. Did you like Midgard?"

"I love it, it's my home."

"Asgard is your home, you were born here."

"But I don't remember it, so Midgard is my home, it's the only place I remember." Loki's jaw clenched when she said this. It angered him, it made him want to yell. 'She has been on Asgard longer than Midgard, she has had more memories, she even has family here. She knows that this is her birthplace but why is she choosing a place where all she felt was pain?'

"You will start to remember it."

"Hmm.." She laid back down on the bench, not feeling the argument. Blue orbs came from her fingertips, moving as her fingers moved.

"You have a beautiful gift Seraphina."

"More like a curse..A monster even.." She mumbled, he still heard it. Loki starred unsure of how to respond. The blue orbs danced around her hands and multiplied. He felt the abnormal cold again but she was calm. No outbreak, at least not yet. "Are you going to just stand there all night?" Her voice was emotionless but he saw some sadness in her eyes.

"Will you not come inside?"

"No."

"Why is that?"

"Because I like it out here." She said

"Alright then, come inside before the sun rises. Goodnight." He said and he left, at least she thought he did. She couldn't see him or hear him anymore. He made sure that. He obviously wasn't going to leave her out there alone and she was obviously being way too stubborn. He watched a tear roll down her cheek but she wiped it away quickly. Sera knew now why she has been so upset, why she wanted to burst in tears all day. She wanted to go home. Earth. Midgard. Where she didn't feel so pathetic and small to everyone. 'Everything is starting to get better, but why do I feel so worse?'

She gave out a shaky sigh, "Goodnight my little Angel

It is time to close your eyes

Do not let the King hear those sorrowful cries

I promise I will never leave you

And my promise will always stay true

Goodnight my small Seraphina,

the skies are no longer light blue

Even when you are terrified at night

From nightmares, noises and screams

I swear to protect you through every scheme

And now you will always know

Where ever you may go

I will always love you so.." She sang, closing her eyes, and sleeping. Loki stared at her for the longest time. Once he felt a gust of cold air he knew it was time to go in. He walked over to Sera, lifting her up, and carrying her off to bed. Loki smiled once he heard her usual snores. He arrived in her room, placed her under the covers, and shutting the door behind him. Loki knew he wasn't going to sleep anytime soon with his mind worrying about her. Instead, he had a better idea.

"Loki, you aren't allowed out of the castle without someone with you," Heimdall spoke, as Loki entered. "Plus, it is late."

"I cannot sleep."

"Too busy thinking?"

"She is always on my mind," Loki said, keeping his posture and voice strong. "I failed her."

"You did no such thing. You know not where she was."

"If I looked harder-"

"Loki, she is safe and she is home, that is all that matters." Heimdall didn't like Loki but he never hated him either. He changed once he lost Sera. No man deserves to lose their child.

"That is the problem Heimdall, she does not feel safe and this is not a home to her."

"She has not been here long and she already gotten shot. It is no wonder she will feel unsafe."

"I don't know what she is like, can you tell me? You must know."

"She is good at heart."Heimdall said, making Loki smile to himself.

"I can see that she does."

"She is a lot like you."

"No, she is pure, goodhearted, amazing-"

"She is alone, broken,hurt...shall I continue?"

"Why is she? You must tell me."

"Loki, she is your daughter and you lost her. Now she is brought back to you. You will lay your life and everything you are for her. You love her. Do not worry about what she is like because you will find out. Me telling you will destroy the memories that could surface, it could ruin a great experience. Deep down you know what she is like and who she will always be."

"What? Who will she always be? A princess? A-"

"She will always be your daughter."
