Seraphina sat on the rainbow bridge, the dark night covering the sky. Nightmares dancing in her head, but here she felt in peace. She felt free. She starred down at the Bifrost, wondering if she could go. She barely remembers what it looks like, just that there is a lot of gold. 'Maybe just a small walk..' The young girl bit her lip. "You can come in! I will not bite!" Her head shot up and she saw the gatekeeper, Heimdall. A soft smile appeared on her face and she headed down there.

"It's even more beautiful in here." She spoke in awe, making Heimdall smile.

"The hour is late, princess."

"And I can't sleep, am I bothering you?"

"No, of course not." He smiled, watching her walk around the room.

"Do you ever like sleep?" He laughed at her unproper Midgardian voice, he thought it suited her better than the proper voice Frigga and Odin tried to make her talk in.

"When I need to." Heimdall smiled at her. "I can see everything either way."

"See everything? Like what?"

"People all over the nine realms-"

"Can you see the Avengers?" The words slipped from her mouth.

"Of course."

"How are they?..If you don't mind me asking.."

"It is alright, princess. They are getting through it. But they all miss you very much." Sera's face dropped. "I suggest you call them later today on that device Tony gave you."

"How did you...?"

"I see everything, my princess."

"That must be some horrible curse." She whispered and he looked at her.

"Why do you say that?"

"Because you must see everyone and everything. You never have a time where your mind is clear."

"AH, but I do. At first, when I was just a young child, I had developed these gifts and I could not control it. I did not know what was happening in my head, who I was... A short while later I gained control. I can shut it off, use it on specific people, the wonders vary, princess." The elder explained to her. Heimdall must admit that it was fairly easy talking to her. She was highly likable, sweet, and always gave off a warm vibe. She did not seem sad, or angry or hurt even though Heimdall knew she was hurting.

"You make it sound easy to deal with it."

"It was not at first, but now it is."

"How long did it take you to master it?"

"All of my power? Maybe a couple thousand, not very long."

"Oh no not long at all," Sera spoke sarcastically, making Heimdall laugh.

"Ah, I forget that human years are so short. But then again you are not a human."

"How long have you been guarding Asgard?" Sera changed the subject.

"A bit before Odin became King."

"Wow, you're old." She blurted. "Well, I mean that-"

"It is alright princess." Heimdall gave a heartily laugh.

"Am I going to be happy here?"

"Princess, you will only be what you make of this."

"Heimdall, you are a really good man." Sera complimented and sat next to him."What's your favorite part of your job?"

"The view of course."

"It really is beautiful." She commented. "Where is your family?"

"They live in the village. They are safe."

"You are close to them?"

"Hmm.. it depends. What about you? How do you feel with being related to royals?"

"Is it bad that I don't see them as a family? I mean I love and trust Thor but I just..I feel like somethings not there...That something is missing... Like my dad? It makes no sense. I don't even remember him but I-"

"You still feel him. There are just some bonds that don't need memory. "

"I don't know where he is, who he is, or-"

"My mother used to tell me that things happen for a reason. Those things happen are meant to happen. Just let it be and see what happens."

"I just want to remember him, see him, have something to hang on, you know?"

"All in good time, princess. Life is a difficult but amazing thing."

"Call me Sera."

"You are much like him," Heimdall said to himself. 'Even though you two are not related.' Heimdall thought.

"Like who?"

"Thor, you have his good heart." Sera smiled and chuckled.

"Look nothing like him though." She joked.

"That is true." Heimdall laughed. "Are you going to be coming by more often? "

"Would you mind that?"

"Of course not. You are one of the few I like." He smiled at her. "Plus I know you don't get a lot of sleep."

"Nightmares are just something you get used to. I should head back now, I'm starving."

"I thought you throw up when you eat?"

"I do but I have to eat something, I need something to stop the hunger pains."

"Ohh, very well. Good day, my princess."

"Good day Heimdall!" Seraphina called and headed towards the castle.

Loki woke up early, unable to catch anymore sleep. He saw the sunrise, the beautiful view he missed. Loki decided to take a walk around the castle, as usual. He wasn't allowed out without someone with him, so the castle will do. Loki walked down hallways, stairs, rooms, and he was bored. He headed up a long flight of stairs, into an open hallway. Years back, Sera and himself would wake up early and head up there. They watch the sunrise and set, laugh, talk, and told stories. Loki walked in, seeing the sun shining and felt the cold winter breeze. Winter was here. Then he spotted a small figure sitting on the hallway balcony. Her back was against a pillar and her leg was hanging over the balcony. Her sobs were loud and her breathing was heavy.

Loki closed his eyes tight and became invisible, not wanting to be seen. When he opened his eyes, he realized who the young girl was. It was Seraphina. He didn't talk, didn't make any movements, he just starred. What happened? Why was she up so early? Did something happen to her? Is she harmed? Is she alright? What happened? She quickly wiped her eyes and made herself look presentable. She pulled out the device Tony gave her and called. It rang for a bit and then she saw Steve's face. "SERA!" He yelled and she laughed, feeling the horrible weight on her chest leave. "PRINCESS OF ASGARD, I MISS YOU!"

"I miss you too Captain of America!" She exclaimed and smiled at him. "You're up early, I expected no one to answer."

"Well, you're stuck with me. How is life there?"

"It could be better, but then again it could be worse." She gave a sad laugh, the captain looking at her sympathetically.

"Not doing so good?"

"I almost died and I wasn't even in training yet."

"I heard about that..Princess, I'm so sorry." Steve teared up. "When Natasha found out, she freaked out. We all kind of did." Sera spotted a tear fall down his cheek.

"I-I'm sorry, I saw the arrow and it was going to hit him...I don't know I just, I took his place.."

"You did a good thing. But don't you ever EVER scare me or this team again! You mean more to us then you think."

"Understood, Cap. I wish I can see you guys. Christmas is coming up, the snow is starting to stick to the ground here. It's kind of beautiful." She smiled. "I don't even think that they celebrate Christmas."

"I promise you that we will see you. We will try our hardest, especially me. Love you kid."

"Love you too."

"We are all talking tonight, when the whole team is here, okay?"

"Okay."

"I'll talk to you tonight. You better answer! Bye."

"Bye." Sera hung up and dried her wet eyes. She leaned her head against the pillar and sighed. Loki watching the whole scene, finally decided to leave when he saw her getting down. She headed towards the dining hall while Loki headed to his spell room.

"I never got to say thank you." Sera leaned her head on Halvar's shoulder, watching the beach. He would never tell her how much he liked it when she did that.

"For what?"

"You went to visit me when I was recovering, you try your best to see me, you're a great friend and person." Sera smiled at him. Hal's face turned a dark shade of red. Thankfully for him, Sera wasn't looking at the Asgardian tomato.

"Is this what we are going to do most?" Halvar asked the young princess, as she stared at the waves hitting the sand. They usually sit somewhere and talked about things. Hal didn't always like just staring into nothing but he did it. He did it for her.

"Is there anything else to do around here?" Sera asked.

"W-we can go to the..uhh.. city, it's really fun there." Hal smiled at her and Sera's eyes widened.

"Would you take me?"

"Of course I would."

"Thank you!" She pulled him into a tight hug "It'll be so much fun! We can go dancing, shopping, see the wonders! Does Asgard have movie theaters? Or a coffee shop? Or maybe-"

"Calm down there, princess." Hal said, "How about we go tomorrow to the city?"

"REALLY!? !"

"Yes, princess."

"Ew stop calling me that."

"Sorry princess, it's a habit. Always address royalty as their status." He said in a fake noble tone, making Sera laugh.

"Those two are quite a pair." Loki heard Frigga call, standing next to him as he watched Sera and Halvar. "Spying on her will do nothing, Loki."

"It'll help me get to know her better."

"Really? From this, all you must have is that she is kind and that Hal over there has a crush on her." Frigga said. "He really cares for her, I see."

"Too bad she is blind to see how much."

"She will, one day." Frigga smiled and sat next to Loki, staring out the window. "Are you training with Sera today?"

"She was exhausted. I went way too hard on her the first day. I needed to know her limits and her strengths so I gave her today off."

" What about tomorrow?"

"I will see how she is feeling."

"You should bond with her."

"I can't risk that, mother-"

"Loki, my dear son, I will, in all my power, do my best so that you may never ever EVER lose her again. And if you do, I promise I will get her to come back to you. Do you understand?"

"Mother, I love you," Loki said after a long pause.

"I love you too. Come on now, Heimdall wanted to see you, something about Seraphina."
