Sera woke up on the floor where she had fallen last night. She slowly lifted her aching body to see the sunlight pouring through her windows. 'How long have I been asleep?' She asked herself, rubbing her eyes. As she moves, she feels as if she was covered in an odd amount of sweat and her insides were gravel. Sera makes her way to the bathroom and took a long hot shower helping her aches. She dressed in a loose comfortable blue dress. Once she was finished she sat on her bed, staring at the gems. The gem she used last night had disappeared. Her mind trailing to her mother. Oh, how Sera had gotten everything wrong about her. Her mother was no monster, she tried to protect her.

*KNOCK**KNOCK*

"PhiPhi?" She heard Thor call, opening the door. She quickly hid the gems and stood up facing her uncle. "Are you alright?"

"Uhm yes, why?"

"You have not shown to lessons with Lady Sif or with Loki."

"Wait what time is it?"

"It is late afternoon."

"Oh, my dearest apologies. I was not feeling well and I must have overslept."

"It is quite alright. I will inform Lady Sif and Loki. They were worried about you. Feel better. " Thor spoke trying to make a mental note on visiting the girl later in the night. Once he left Sera slumped her posture, trying to recollect herself from her mother's memories. 'I must find that house.' Sera thought to herself. 'It looked like an older architecture and on the outskirts of Asgard. There were so much grass and open space you could see through the windows.' Sera tried her hardest to remember the house as she walked to the library. She took books on top of books about architecture, the years, and the outskirts of Asgard. Sera wrote down all the information she found important.

Asgard is a large Kingdom with different heads sectioned off to represent the land and report back to the king of that reign. These sections had certain architecture in their area to show pride in their community. Sera tried to relate this to boroughs or states to help her understand. It was only until recently (a few 100s-1000s of years) that they did away with this division of architecture due to the people feeling there were barriers in the communities. However, some of the older modeled homes still have this "specific" look to it. These homes are typically family-owned and passed down. If no family claims this home then they are remodeled to follow a more modern architecture. Sera could remember that the house looked rather old meaning that her mother was probably the owner. Fear struck her knowing that if her mother is dead then no one claimed the home, and it could be gone forever. She spent a rough hour searching for the perfect book that could help her and finally she did. She found a book with a list of all the homes owned by a certain family name and where the homes are located. She looked at the book blankly realizing she doesn't know her mother's name. The young teenager groaned knowing she would have to search through her father's things. Sera picked up the books she no longer needed and placed them back in their original spot making sure to remember every detail how the book was placed before she even took it. Sera took the rest of the books and her notebook back to her room and hid it deep in her room.

Sera spent the rest of her time trying to devise a perfect plan to distract Loki to sneak in and search. She read a spell to make her invisible however that would not help her if she needs to look through things. Loki will obviously know something is there is he sees floating papers. Her illusions were not that strong to keep Loki busy for an extended amount of time and he will easily know she tricked him once her focus ceases. She hated to admit it but she needed help. Sera walked aimlessly around the palace trying to find who she could trust. Thor and Frigga were out of the question, and Magni was almost too risky. He would help her once and then keep wanting to get involved. If situations become too risky Magni would make sure she would never be in harm's way- potentially ruining everything. She was unsure what she and Gus were and Hal was out of the question. Sera walked so in thought that she clashed against heavy metal. Looking up she saw Lady Sif.

"Lady Sera! My apologies I did not see you. How are you feeling? You look well." Sif raised a curious eyebrow at the princess who had supposedly fallen ill.

"I'm sorry about this morning." Sera spoke honestly, "I have been having trouble finding myself, but I will be there tonight. I promise." Sif felt an enormous amount of guilt towards the teenager. She has not been the most welcoming to the girl even though the girl has caused no harm.

"If you need a friend, Princess, know that I am here." Sif put a kind hand on Sera's soldier, gave a nod and made her way towards the end of the hall. As Sera walked to other ends of the hall, the plan came to Sera. I can use Lady Sif!

Nightfall came quickly and Sera kept up with the appearance of not feeling well. Once the sky got close to black Sera made her way to the training arena, unsure of what to say to her warrior friend. "Hi Lady Sif," Sera called, smiling warmly to her. "How was your day?" She asked oddly, making Sif raise her eyebrow. Sif took a quick look at Sera seeing so much nervousness.

"Is something bothering you?" 'Just tell her the truth'

"I thought I could ask you a favor," Sera asked, tensely tucking her hand behind her ear. "But I do not wish Thor to know." She knew this was risky asking Sif to hide something important to Thor- especially because it was obvious Sif had deep feelings. It made Sera pity the warrior that Thor had so many lovers but never chose Sif. Sera took the silence to continue her thoughts. "I wish to know about me, about my bloodline and I really want to start with my mother. I have to do this. I have to know who my mother is. Loki will never willingly tell me who she is, especially without raising questions. Please Sif I just want to know who she is."

"Her name was Adelia Carrdottir," Sif responded, feeling wrong. She has not said her old friend's name for so long. "She was my best friend." Sera regretted asking Sif immediately but Sif continued to speak about her. "She was beautiful, kind, and had a beautiful future. She wanted Loki, against my very adamant warnings. You remind me so much of her. You have her wit, her beauty, and humor. I-I should have helped her when she came to me."

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing," Sif answered quickly, finding it difficult to look at Sera. Sif hated to admit it but there are times when they train that she cannot look at the girl, reminding her too much of her mother. Some things baffled Lady Sif like the way Sera double steps into her kicks like her mother or how she likes to lead with her left hand despite being right-handed. "I hope that her name can help you. We shall train." Sif spoke getting herself ready for their fight. During the training session, Sif was reserved and quieter. The only thing playing in Sif's memory was the day her best friend confided in her and she turned her away. Sif shook the feeling knowing that Loki shares the guilt as well.

Late that night Sera made her way back to her chambers, finding Thor waiting for her. He sat at the edge of her bed looking at her window. Something about Thor staring off like that made Sera feel guilty. She started to feel as though all of her training with Sif and her secret mission of figuring out the truth is for nothing. Perhaps if she just trusts Thor and asks for his help then everything would work out. She shook the thought quickly knowing that she must do it herself and alone. She can't have Thor ruining something because he loves her. "I thought you were not feeling well." He commented, taking in her looks. Her cheeks were flushed but her sweat had dried and her hair was up high bun, making it look like she had not trained. Sera knew that she could easily lie.

"I wanted some air. I hate being so couped up." Sera lied trying to emphasize her Midgardian expressions. She had started to notice that the more Midgardian she spoke then the less Thor questioned her. "I feel like there is nothing to do." Thor nodded, obviously believing her. Her comment made him feel as though he is not around for her. He would hate to think she did not like Asgard.

"Are you feeling better? Would you like to accompany me on the horse?"

"You mean like ride a horse?"

"Yes." Thor chuckled, noticing her face. She looked terrified once he suggested riding a horse. He knew this would be the perfect type of bond he could make with his niece. Thor would never admit it to Loki but he started to feel as if she was more his child. "Come on we shall ride them, I will bring you back before it is too late!" Thor eagerly spoke grabbing her arm and taking her towards the stables. The walk there was full of comfortable conversation, talking about everything. They felt so comfortable in each other's presence that it could make even the best of father's jealous. Once they got to the stables she saw Sleipnir. His coat is grey like a stormy sky, while his tail and mane display a darker grey. The eight-legged horse immediately rose, nuzzling his neck against her face. Thor smiled at the connection. "That is Loki's-"

"I know."

"You loved him a lot when you were a child."

"I know." She repeated stroking the horse. "Can I take him for a ride?"

"He is Odin's horse..." Thor said, seeing her eyes drop. "But I do not see why not." He always gives in too much and too easily. Thor promised that Sera will learn how to ride a horse by the end of the night.

It made Sera feel natural spending time with Sleipnir. She felt such a strong bond with him that she made it a mental note to go riding with him more often. The image of her hands against the horse of Odin kept replaying in her head. If Sera could desire one thing at that moment it would be to make Sleipnir her horse. The princess cringed at herself remembering how she showed Thor how scared she was. The fresh memory of inability to get on the horse or her tight grip, made her shake- or so she thought. She could not stop shaking. Her hands were non stop trembles that moved up to her arms. She managed to open her door and get to her room. Once closing the door, she felt hit by bricks. Her body was fatigued and her head was spinning, making her fall instantly on the bed. She felt the shakes overcome her body. Her eyes rolled back. She tried to let out a cry for help, but no sound comes out. For a moment all she saw was black.

Adelia sat in the gardens with a turn in her stomach. She was feeling the baby's kicks more often. The thought of her child growing enticed fear in the young Asgardian. Lady Sif is seen walking towards Adelia, warm smiles exchange however Sif looked weary. "Is everything alright, my good friend?" Sif asked putting her hands kindly on top of Adelia's.

"I fear for the safety of my child. My mind is not my own." Tears spilled from Adelia's eyes. There was a constant pressure in her head, banging as if it was ready to come out. Sif looked at her friend and sighed.

"Adelia, this is merely postpartum. In some time from now, you and your child shall be fine." Sif's denial caused Adelia to sob. Her heart aching, and panic rising in her body all the while trying to keep the pain in her head from coming out.

"Please Sif. I do not eat, I do not sleep. I told Loki but he said the same thing. Please Sif help me." Sif stood from her friend, showing annoying in her face. Adelia felt like her life was falling apart. "Please, I am not well. Someone did this to me. Someone wants me to hurt my baby."

"There is not a soul in all of Asgard who would want such a thing. There is not a soul that exists powerful enough to touch you."

"No-No Sif He can touch me-"

"Adelia! Enough of this!" Sif yelled, storming off. Leaving Adelia to cry.

Sera woke with dry mouth and achy bones. Her head was pulsating, and the nausea was settling in. As her eyes got accustomed to the light, she realizes the room was covered in thin sheets of ice. The cold temperature made it seem like she is in a freezer. 'I need to get up.' She thought to herself, placing her hand on the edge of her bed. Once her hand made contact, the ice started to flow. Sera jumps realizing it was coming from her hands. The young girl fearfully retreats, her hands accidentally touching the walls which caused more ice to flow. Slowly backing up she saw what she was creating- layers and layers of ice. 'How do I make it stop.' Sera panicked feeling the rooms around her turn to ice as well. The air felt stuck in her throat, causing her to gasp. 'Am I choking myself?' She fell to her knees now her powers frantic due to her lack of air. Suddenly she loses her vision.

"Loki, please you have to believe me! There is something trying to take our daughter away." Adelia pleaded, rushing her hands to her husband's face. So much love, passion, and fear.

"My pet, I have followed you, used my magic, and tried to read your mind and you are fine. There is no one or nothing harming you."

"No-No they are in my mind, please! Loki Please."

Sera felt as if her lungs were going to break open and her insides were on fire. The pressure started to grow, causing the girl to fall heavy on her body. Sera could feel her powers stretching for miles, creating layers of thick ice.

"Mother, what is it? What is wrong?" Adelia spoke, running to her mother's side.

"He is coming for you."

"Who?"

"Your grandfather. He wants what is rightfully his."

"I do not understand."

"He wants the baby."

Sera could hear voices call out her name. She could hear the ice crack and be made whole. She could hear the sound of running water as it melted. She could hear her mother's screams piercing her ears.

Loki sat in the dining hall early awaiting his daughter. He had hoped to see her here as early as usual unless she is still feeling ill. A part of Loki cursed himself for not checking on her yesterday while the other believes she wants to be left alone. It is ironic. Loki vowed to never turn into Odin and yet he has ultimately given his daughter treatments that the King of Aasgard would. Oh, how blood means nothing if the behavior is learned. Loki sat there hoping to find a way to get her to love him. Perhaps he could get her something she desires or perhaps take her somewhere. Loki wished he could risk his life for her to get her forgiveness. He ponders the glorious notion of him almost dying for her and she forgiving him, their bond restored. 'Has it gotten colder ?' He thought, the cool temperature surprising him. Loki began to notice that his breath was showing and that everything in that room had a layer of ice. Loki places his hand on top of the ice, making his once pale skin turn blue. 'Sera.' Loki thought, teleporting to her chambers.

When he appeared, her body was shaking on the floor, ice covering everything around her. Her skin had a light shade of blue. Loki knew what was happening. As her Aesir form grows so will her Frost giant. Loki placed his hand firmly against hers, using a spell to calm her down. Loki slowly tried to infiltrate her mind, seeking to soothe from within. However, the moment he strongly gets in, she forced him right out- unknowingly. He observed her breathing settle and her eyes open. A light shade of red suddenly turned back green and her pale blue skin is now back to its olive. "Sera, are you alright?" He asked too quickly, supporting her upright. She looked around the room seeing the damage she has done..

"I'm sorry." She coughed, "I had a nightmare." Lie.

"A nightmare about what, my dear?" He questioned, playing along with her. 'My pet.' Echoes through her head as she stares at him. 'Please Loki.' Her mother's cries pierce her ears. Her hand shoots up to her head clutching her right side. Despite this pain, Sera knew she could not falter now. If her father finds out what she is doing it is game over.

"The feast, the arrow in my back." She managed to lie, but Loki knew. He always knows. Once the pain in her head settles she let out a shaky breath.

"How about we start with the truth, Sera?" He asked kindly, afraid his irritation or anger will ruin her trust. Sera knew she was caught and the only way of getting what she wants means she has to outsmart a god.

"I-I wanted to know her name," Sera spoke slowly, looking as desperate as ever. Loki stared into her eyes seeing so much pain. "I really wanted to know her name. I thought if I saw some memories I would know her name."

"You used the painite gems."

"I didn't know they would keep coming."

Loki sighed staring at her broken face, not detecting a full lie. "I can fix this."

"I am sorry about freezing a few rooms." Loki took a moment before answering her apology, unsure of telling her the truth.

"Sera you did not freeze a few rooms. You froze the entire palace."
