Brat ran her hand through her hair while thinking. There had to be a plan that would work. She let out a sigh. "I guess if we're going for it that we should go all out, right?" she asked herself out loud to confirm it with herself. She nodded a little agreeing with her sentiment.
Link looked over at her not sure if he should respond or not. She had been talking to herself off and on, through this trip, so he wasn't sure when she was actually talking to him or when she was talking to herself. But he had deduced that it seemed she talked more to herself than him. Link looked down at the ground. Time was running out and they were sitting here doing nothing.
Rubbing his eyes he thought of Autum being killed. He just didn't know how to deal with such; he was at a loss. His heart was torn, but it didn't seem to hit him totally as if his hope for rescuing Eznik kept him from falling apart totally. His eyes trailed to the window that showed the sea of stars ahead of them.
Brat looked over at the non-merger. "You need to talk?" she asked him in a quiet sincerity, though in her mind she wished he was asking her that. She was never good at asking for help no matter how much she needed it. The redhead watched him shake his head in decline. "Alright… I guess to the plan then."
Brat pointed at him. "You are going to be one of the elites. We are going to use the rumors spread about them to aid us in our plans. And since you've actually met the elites in person you have some idea how they talk and act. That will give us a bit of insight that those holding Eznik don't have. There is only one problem with this plan." she conveyed as she sat back in her chair. She stared out at the darkness of space.
"If we get called out on this we are screwed big time. This is an all or nothing, plan." Brat declared as she trailed off running the plan through her head once more. "You think you're up for this, Link? One mistake on your part could lead to your demise; quick and no doubt, painful." Closing her eyes she prayed that she was making the right choice leaving her father's fate and hers in this teen's hands.
Turning his head he looked to Brat. "Do you think we have a chance at this?" he nervously questioned her. He wasn't sure if he could pull this off or not; playing the part of someone else seemed implausible. Show him a fight and he's ready; he knows what to do but the acting thing seemed far beyond his capabilities, definitely beyond anything he's ever done before. His ears drooped and his heart cried out because he didn't want to be the reason Eznik gets killed. He didn't think he could take that.
Sitting up Brat looked at him. Her brown eyes met with his blue ones, she could see that he was torn to shambles. She knew she, herself was falling to pieces as well. She wanted to lie to make him and herself feel like there was hope in this, but her morals wouldn't let her.
"To be honest, I don't think we have a chance in hell." her heart sinking as she spoke. She had to hold onto her hope that they could achieve their directive. "I'm hoping that the rumors are on our side and that you can pull off this little charade better than you fathom." she added as she prayed that in the scenario the police would be more focused on her than to pay any true attention to Link. Her eyes skittered over to her computer.
"What do I need to do?" the teen asked as he tried to keep his mind off of the odds and his fear of his inadequate skill at what he was asked to do. He knew that he had been through some tough odds before and made it through. Under his doubts, he truly knew that he had what it takes and he knew the Goddesses as well would be with them. Only difference was, he didn't have any clue of what to expect. It was all the unknown factors that made him truly nervous. He was far out of his realm of comfort and expertise. He knew that he needed any information he could get to help him be prepared, in hopes to keep him from screwing this up.
The redhead stood up stretching; walking over to the bag that she brought onto the ship. Bending down she opened it up and started to shuffle through the clothing. "I'm going to be giving you an ID number. That number you will need to memorize so to be able to recite it if they ask for your name. That number is going to be your way around. If they need a name just call yourself… um.." Brat looked up at him. "Raven, it's simple to remember."
The cat girl went back into her bag pulling out a green shirt. It had black designs on it with black trim on the edges. Brat tossed it at Link followed by a black long sleeve shirt. "Those shirts are specially made; it will give you some resistance against bullets, so they can't kill you with one shot in the chest. Still going to hurt like hell, but better than dead."
Link looked at the shirts that she had tossed him. His blue eyes then went to her as she pulled out some pants. They were black, grey, green camouflage. Some chains hung from the pants. They also had black script in another language etched in the green coloring. Brat tossed it to Link.
Link caught the pants looking them over. He was once again going to be stuck in other clothing than his own, another discomfort he was having to deal with. At least these clothes had something helpful about them he thought. "Are bullets what come from those objects you were holding? Is that what you're talking about?" he hesitantly asked the catgirl.
Brat stared at him; she had completely forgotten that he really had no clue about anything. Inside, she thought this was all just hopeless but she kept a brave front. She got up nodding as she pulled out one of her guns. Brat walked up to him as she messed with the gun. "I guess, I should show you how these work." she said as she held it out to him.
Setting the clothes on the control panel he looked at the gun, taking it and studying it. "Is it like a crossbow?" he questioned Brat as he noticed the trigger on it. Brat nodded at him. "In a manner of speaking. Up on your feet." she instructed. She whipped out her other gun. "Alright, hold your gun like this." Brat got into a stance as she pointed her gun at the wall.
Link studied how Brat was holding the gun. He held up the gun he had pointing at the wall also. "Is this right?" he asked. Brat nodded as she walked up to him. She moved his arm a little. "This here is a place you look at to aim. When you fire the gun will have a bit of recoil; be ready for that, otherwise it can catch you off guard and cause you to lose your balance." Brat moved back out of the way. "Alright, make sure you're holding onto it tightly, aim and pull the trigger."
Link pulled the trigger wincing from the recoil. His ears dropped from the explosive sound. He looked at the wall where he fired. There was a red dot on it. He walked up to the wall wondering what happened; he didn't think walls could bleed.
"Its paint, non lethal ammo, I use it to scare people off. But you're going to be using real ammo when we get there for your protection. So aim low that way hopefully you don't kill anyone. You seem to be a fast learner so you should be fine." she encouraged as she smiled meekly at the teen. As she instructed him she realized that speaking of killing was something that always left a bad taste in her mouth. She looked away for a moment trying to pull herself back together.
Link nodded a little. He ran his hand on top of the gun. His eyes locked onto the weapon, this was the thing that killed Celtic. Something so small was so extremely deadly. He'd rather use his sword, at least he wouldn't regret a misfire that he couldn't take back. The truth is, he would rather fight his opponent one on one allowing them a chance to fight for their life. To him this gun was unfair advantage and dishonorable. He'd much rather fight with his strength and honor but it was obvious to him that was not the kind of fight that they would be engaging in. This dimension was so different than his. He shook his head in the discouragement of all he felt as he walked up to Brat holding the gun out to her.
Brat took the gun as she looked into his blue eyes. "I'm going to be giving you both of these because Eznik will need one, too. I can see you don't feel comfortable with it but if things go from push to shove you're going to need to use it." She insisted as she gave a reassuring smile hoping to bring up his optimism some.
Link nodded while examining the clothes on the chair. "I guess I should go change then." he said as his thoughts were still clouded, trying to sort through his own emotions, confusion and morals as he tried to prepare for the part he was to play in this scheme. He grabbed the garbs as he looked over at Brat.
"There's a bathroom in the room where Navi went. You can change in there." Her eyes followed him as he left the room. She walked up to the medical bag collapsing to her knees. She covered her hands over her face. Everything was hitting her hard, her aunt was dead and Eznik was being tortured for something she had done. These two non mergers and she would be risking everything on an ill-advised hopeless plan that she had concocted. Her fear filled her heart that was already breaking forcing tears to run down her face. She couldn't restrain any longer, the emotions she was trying to hold in were forced out as there was no more room inside them all.
Link walked into the room. Clothing, stuffed animals and papers were strewn across the floor. Incomplete drawings were on the wall. Some looked like blueprints to ships along with a few small face sketches of people. Link looked over at Navi who was passed out on the bed. He walked up to the bed and sat on the floor beside it. He leaned back against the bed closing his eyes.
None of this felt real, just a dream, a horrible dream his mind kept repeating. He wanted to wake up from it, but where; he and Navi were still on Autum's ship in this different dimension. His mind still didn't want to believe she was dead. His heart knew the truth and it was tearing him apart. He felt so miserable for letting her down….and Celtic, well; he didn't even want to go there.
In his dimension, he is the hero of time but here he was nothing of the sort. He wasn't use to letting people down. He wasn't used to losing. He wasn't used to time being so out of his grasp. He wasn't use to the prospects being so out of his reach. He felt so small in this dimension, so meaningless. Still that hero in him wouldn't let him give up not if there was any chance of saving Eznik. He would see this plan through despite how uncomfortable and unprepared he felt with it all.
Link got to his feet slowly but surely. He stumbled over to the bathroom avoiding the mess on the floor. He walked into the bathroom looking to the mirror. He thought for a second who was that imposter in the mirror in his lacking and defeated confidence. He let out a small discouraged sigh. Then he breathed in a deep breath of fresh air letting go of his malady. He started to get undressed.
Navi rolled over as she heard the sound of running water. She stood up finding herself a bit disoriented, her wings flapped some to keep her balance. Her eyes searched the room to where the sound was coming from. She walked to the edge of the bed.
Navi jumped off taking fight. She couldn't decipher any of the emotions she was having. She was in a mist of emotions unable to see them clearly. "Link?" she called out to the blonde as she flew to the doorway of the bathroom. She scrutinized his new clothing wondering what was up.
Link turned looking at his companion, smiling a little. Water was dripping off of his bangs. He grabbed a small towel and dried off his face. "Are you feeling any better?" he queried, though just by looking at her he could tell she still wasn't up to par.
Landing on his shoulder she propped herself against him, she didn't say anything. It felt like she remembered nothing, yet everything at the same time. Closing her eyes she just rested quietly on his shoulder. She just wanted these empty torturous emotions to disappear.
Link looked down at her from the corner of his eye. "You want to talk Navi?" She shook her head a little. Nodding, he walked out of the room with her in tow. He headed to the cockpit where Brat was. He looked at the cat girl who was sitting on the ground with papers all around a computer.
Brat's eyes never left the computer screen. "How are you both holding up?" she asked knowing whatever emotional problems they had, they needed to solve quickly so that it wouldn't affect them when it really mattered.
Link sat down in a chair. He looked at Navi who was watching Brat. "I guess as good as can be expected." Navi spoke up for the two of them. Link ran his hand through his bangs as he was still trying to clear his mind. This was going to be one of the hardest things he's ever had to do.
"Brat, do you know what happened to the dimensional faeries?" Navi inquired. Her heart cried out and she wanted to know why and since Brat seemed to recognize her as one, maybe she knew something. It had to be the past she couldn't remember that was haunting her. She needed to know what happened so maybe she could start figuring out her emotions and pulling herself back together.
"I've heard a few stories that poured through the black market." she answered without looking up. She shuffled through a couple of papers as she spoke. "Dimensional fairies were said to have lived on a beautiful planet away from mortals' harm. It was a very magical planet where they lived, where other magical beasts lived in peace alongside them. The fairies didn't stray far from their own dimension, but it is said that after time some of them chose to. One faerie fell in love with a human man; he loved her just as much as she, him. But the man's brother they say was either jealous of the love or else the power that the faerie had. When his brother went to work he would trick the fairy into experiments so he could learn more about her. He told the faerie that his brother wanted this and so she submitted. In time the faerie wanted to show her lover her world. So she did along with the brother as the brother insisted that he be brought along. It was said that the brother captured the faerie and then killed his own brother. From there he led a group of mercenaries who sought treasure and money, to the planet. That's why they went and captured the faeries, killing most of the planet with anti-magic warfare and barriers."
Brat eyes went to her computer as she took a deep breath and then carried on. "They began to sell the faeries on the black market. They indeed got a pretty penny for them. They were used as teleportation devices… though they were living beings they were not treated as such. They were treated terribly, caged, used and abused. The people that bought them saw them as nothing more than an instrument to fulfill their needs and the faeries were forced over and over again to meet their needs. This caused much strain on their little bodies; teleporting and such; along with the misery of their captive states that they all began to die off. So it is very rare to see one now. Most are seen in a Rehgi jar. But they stay far from people; no longer friendly." Her eyes scurried to Navi and Link.
Navi stayed quiet letting it all sink in. She covered her face with her hands. No memories seemed to surface but the emotions came. Navi looked out from her hands as she felt herself being picked up. Her blue eyes looked up into Link's. She didn't know what to say, all she knew was that it hurt so badly it felt like it a mortal wound, like she was dying
Link didn't have words for her. He moved her to his face. "I'm here for you, Navi." he whispered quietly. It was the only words that sounded right for him to say at the moment. He smiled tenderly at her.
Brat stood up. She watched the two for a moment in their grief and comfort and then looked away. "I don't want to be rude, but we are running out of time." she depicted as her ears drooped some. She still needed to run the plans over with the two. She needed them both of be emotionally stable for this. Turning to face them; she put on a fake confident smile.
Navi took a deep breath and then looked over at Brat. She jumped off of Link's hand, flying. She wobbled about some. It was clear she still was in no shape to teleport. Flying up to Link's shoulder she landed on it. She realized that she wasn't recovering. She didn't understand why, after resting she should have been fine. She thought perhaps indeed it was the weight of her heart carrying such tragic memories in clandestine.
Link looked at Brat then his eyes went to Navi. He knew just as well as Brat this wasn't a good sign. "Navi, are you ok?" he asked worried about her well being. He knew whenever she rested she usually was fine afterwards, but she seemed worse.
"I-I… I don't know. I don't understand it." Navi admitted as she closed her eyes. "I should be ok… I rested; I slept well! But I can barely fly now!" Navi held her head. Why is this happening now? She started to panic; she knew that they were relying on her to be able to teleport.
"Navi." Brat spoke up as she walked up to the two. "Calm down, ok. We'll think of a way through this." She decided to change the topic, so Navi wouldn't' drag on and get pulled down further into the specifics, which were neither here or there in the situation they were soon to engage. "You guys hungry?"
The two shook their heads yes. They watched as Brat then walked out of the room to get food. Link looked at Navi. "Maybe food will help. It will be a way for you to get some energy back." he said trying to cheer up his friend. He never was the best with words. But underneath it all, he felt this problem could definitely interfere with saving Eznik but he didn't want to worry her.
Brat walked back into the room. "I'm sorry, I don't have much at all." she apologized as she held out a couple of sandwiches to the two. Brat plopped down on the ground in front of them and Link collected the sandwiches from her. "It's hazkic, I hope that is ok." she bayed as she then took a bite of her sandwich as she had yet to eat either.
Link tore off a piece from one of the sandwiches and held it to Navi. She took the little piece and looked it over as her eyes then went to Brat. Her mind was still foggy and she just wanted the endless emotions to leave. She took a small bite of the piece of sandwich.
"What do we need to know to pull this off?" Link solicited as he took a bite of his sandwich. He was worried about Navi, but knew that this was getting more serious as time was running out for them to get this plan together.
Brat tore off a piece of her sandwich stuffing it in her mouth eating as she then replied with her mouth full. "I guess I can give you a rundown of the more common everyday type of things that will no doubt take place. Once we get into communication range they are going to hail the ship. And you are going to give them the ships name along with your ID." She grabbed a paper holding it up to him.
Link took the paper. It had on it an 11 digit ID number that he needed to memorize along with the ship's name. The ship's name was "Spirit of Courage." He thought that fitting.
"After that…" she continued elucidating "they will probably reply with… 'we don't' have your ID on record'. At that time, you'll need to inform them that they need to have the higher authorities look at it as you then bring up that you have a prisoner that you are bringing in; me. Hopefully, I am wanted bad enough that they'll ignore regular procedures and we will get passed through quickly and easily... if for no other reason than their own curiosity. They wondered if you could really be bringing who you are saying?"
Brat took a quick bite of her sandwich and then continued "Next; everything will get more up close and personal. You'll need to keep your game face….the same as when you're preparing for a fight. Don't you wear a game face so to intimidate or let's say for a lack of a better word fool your rival by making him think you are calm and cool and that you're not afraid of anything? This will be the same thing only this game face needs to be intimidating yet somewhat social since this is more civil face to face."
Brat crammed the last bite of her food in her mouth as she then spouted. "They might ask for your name when you give them the ID… use the name Raven. As for you Navi, you will be using the name Lily. If they ask for her ID make a fuss telling them that you've never needed one before or something like that." Brat crawled over her papers looking for something.
"If you make it through that… you will be escorted into the main area. Remember to keep in part…be arrogant…the elite think they're all that. You have to keep in character. Now at that time, I assume they probably will take possession of me and lead me off somewhere else…I'm guessing to a cell or interrogation room." Brat chattered on as she looked at the two. "Whatever they do to me… you must not respond to or try to help me in anyway; got it? You have to act like you don't give a shit; like I deserve what I'm getting. And don't worry I'm tough. I can take whatever they dish out." She waited for the two to give a nod before she went on. She knew that she was probably going to get pummeled on the spot, but she was ignoring the idea for now. No sense in worrying about it.
"Then…" she went on "make a request, well…more like a demand to see Eznik so that you can personally tell him that you brought in his daughter. Make it something demeaning; like you want to be the one to tell him all hope is lost. That you want to be the one to let him know his testimony wasn't needed after all so he went through all that torture for nothing. You have to show these people that you don't like Eznik or me. You're going to have to wing it from then on…depending on how they respond to your request. Also Link, you're going to have to be doing more of the talking than Navi. I can't imagine they will take much from a faerie." Brat informed him as she found the paper that she needed and pulled it out holding it up to Link.
Link took the paper looking it over. "That is the code to get into Eznik's cell if they happen to let you go by yourself. I'm not sure how amenable they are going to be. Again, just have to play it by ear. If they come with you have them let you in the cell saying you wish to tell him this news face to face. They might be amicable then on the other hand they might be obstinate...I suppose it depends on how they personally feel about the elite."
Navi took another piece of the sandwich from Link. "What if they don't let Link see Eznik? Should we just say that we at least want to see his face when he hears the news or something?" Brat nodded. "You're going to have to play it by ear. Listen to their response and from there judge whether you think you can push them further or that you'll have to grovel some or go a whole different direction. I can't really tell you how it's going to play out. You just never know. You're going to have to be quick of mind rather than of feet. As this is dance of words, rather than swords. All I know is if you succeed and get Eznik out you will be handing him this." She held up a small device. "On here is the map along with the location of where Autum's body is."
Link nodded as he ran the steps through his head. "What about you? Where are we going to meet up with you?" he questioned Brat in concern. Her eyes looked at her computer. "I'll be meeting up with you in the lock-up. Eznik, I'm sure will want to get his belongings. He's that way." Brat advised as she closed her laptop. "If I'm not there and things get too bad I want you Navi to teleport yourself, Link and Eznik out of there onto the ship. And I want you to leave me if it gets too dangerous. I know you don't like that but that's just how it's got to be.."
"Wait! We can't just leave you." Navi protested.
"It's better if I get left behind than all of us getting captured, got it?" noted Brat sternly. "This is a high risk mission. We knew from the beginning that things could go bad. But listen if I get left behind; they aren't going to kill me. But if Link or Eznik are left behind they will kill them. At least you can make a new plan and come back later for me."
She didn't tell them the truth that there would be no going back, but this way they wouldn't argue with her. All that mattered to her was her father was going to get out of there especially since she blamed herself for the whole situation.
Brat started to stack up the other papers on the floor into a pile. "What if Navi can't teleport us out of there?" Link asked nervously; finally admitting the grim possibility. Brat sighed as she set the papers on the laptop. "You go to the escape pods then. Eznik will be able to get you out of there. You, no doubt will run into resistance but I believe you can handle this… leave Autum…if you have to." she said trailing off.
Brat picked up the laptop and set it on the ground next to her bag. "You're going to have to give me your hat, gloves, along with your earrings." Brat said in a businesslike manner as she held out her hand to Link. "They're always looking for something out of place. It's their job. They are trained to look for such. I'd rather not have them spot something that you can't explain or something to raise their suspicions. It would just complicate things."
He immediately started removing his gloves as he nodded. He then removed his earrings along with his hat. He packed his gloves and earrings into his hat. "What about my boots?" he inquired though he hoped he could just keep them. Her eyes trailed to his boots. "Take them off. I'll see if I have anything to change the color of them."
"You left your clothes in the bathroom?" she inquired as she got to her feet. Link glanced at her nodding as he took off his boots. She headed out of the room to fetch his clothes along with a couple of her own personal belongings.
"Link…" Navi spoke in a small frail voice. Link turned looking at her. "Do you think I'm going to be able to teleport us? Do you think we even have a chance at this? Do you think we are going to be able to fool the police? What about Brat, do you think she is going to be ok? I don't like the idea of leaving her behind." Link put his finger to her mouth. "Sh-h. You know, I can't give you those answers. All I know is you're going to try your best and the rest of us are going to do our best and that's all that we need to know. We'll figure it out as it happens. We're going to make it out of there… all of us, alive." he declared reassuring her.
Navi nodded looking towards the hallway to see Brat was just now coming back. She had a book bag hanging off of her shoulder. She also was holding a small container. Brat set the bag next to Link as she then opened up the container. "Look at me."
Link looked at Brat a bit confused as of what she was wanting. He watched her pull out what looked like a paint brush. "Don't move, ok." she muttered as she moved her free hand to hold his face still. She started to paint markings on his face. "Don't worry about these getting rubbed off, there's only one type of soap that will remove this stuff."
Navi stood up watching Brat. "You look funny with markings." she laughed. Brat chuckled as she let go of his chin. It was the first laugh that she had shared with these two. Link looked at Brat trying to figure out the point of this. "Do you know what contacts are?" she asked.
Link shook his head. "We'll see if you can do this or not. You have very distinct blue eyes, very pure. I don't think that would go over too well if you're supposed to be a killer; one of the inhumane elite." She pulled out a small case from the container. She opened it up. "Alright, you put this side on your finger and then you put it on your eyeball." She held it out to him.
Link studied it and then looked at her. He remembered Autum had used the same thing. He let out a small sigh as he took one of the lenses. He looked at it trying to see how he could put it in his eye. Brat took the case from him so he could use both hands. Link looked at her and then used his free hand to open up his eye. He winced a little once he stuck it in his eye. He started blinking as his eyes watered some.
"Look at me." Brat instructed, she needed to make sure that the lens was in his eye correctly. Link rubbed his eye a little. He then looked at her with one blue and one green eye. Brat smiled. "Perfect, your eyes will adjust to having the contact in there. Put the other one in." She set the case on Link's knee. She sat down looking through the container.
Navi watched Link, amazed what these 'contacts' could do, though she did like him much better with his blue eyes. "What about me?" she queried. "I'm working on it." advised Brat as she pulled out a small brush. She shuffled through a couple more things pulling out a small container. She opened it up looking through some combs. She pulled out a purple one. She held it up to Link. "Here comb her hair with that. It will turn her hair purple for a while."
Link took it looking it over. It looked almost like a normal comb except it had a small compartment you could open up. Link looked at Navi a bit confused how to do this. She jumped off and flew onto his leg. Link watched her turn around. He then moved the comb through her hair; with every stroke her hair turned more and more purple.
Brat grabbed Link's boots. She had a small can and started to spray his boots down; turning them black. She knew it was better if he just wore his own boots, so he would be comfortable running with them, a more sure footing. She looked over at his sheathed sword. The pattern would be something they would remember. Reaching over she grabbed it and sprayed it as well. Her eyes went to the now green-eye teen and purple-haired fairy. Brat smiled at the two. She held up a purple dress to Navi. "I hope this fits. I pulled it off one of the dolls I have. It's an open back dress so your wings shouldn't get in the way."
Navi took the dress looking at it. She then stepped into the dress. It was an almost exact fit. She twirled around. It was the first time she ever had clothing before. She looked up at Link. "How do I look?" she asked Link excitedly with a big smile on her face.
Link chuckled at her. "I don't' think purple hair fits you." Navi stuck out her tongue at him. Brat watched the two, it was nice to get in moments where you could forget about all that had gone bad and what was going to be coming, but those moments were rare.
Brat put her laptop into the bag as she stuffed in Link's hat, too. She then grabbed a white case out of the medical bag. She put it in the book bag as well. She looked at the bag and sighed. It was all she was going to be able to take with her.
"Alright, what are your names?" Brat questioned the two as Link was putting on his boots. Link and Navi both looked at Brat. "Raven" Link was the first to respond. Navi flew up and sat on Link's shoulder. "Lily" she spoke. Brat nodded in approval as she walked up to him moving his bangs out of his face.
The redhead grabbed a small jar out of the medical bag. She opened it and started to rub the cream like substance on certain areas of her skin. After a few seconds, a ghastly bruise appeared where she rubbed the cream. She needed it to look like they fought and that's why she was captured.
Out of the corner of her eye she looked at the two who were watching her. "What's the ID number Link?" she quizzed so there wasn't the awkward silence. "43349275943" Link responded, he knew that he couldn't mess up when it was time to use this stuff.
"Good." she praised as she crawled over to a cabinet opening it up. She pulled out a set of metal shackles, a muzzle-type device and a bracelet-like object. "These are special devices I designed. Basically, I can get out of these without a key, so that's going to let me escape my holding cell. So no worries, right?"
There came a light beeping sound from the control panel. Brat got up to her feet walking up to the control panel to inspect. Her eyes drifted out of the window looking at the police station they were closing in on. "It's about time. This is the last chance to turn around." she warned as she looked at Link and Navi. "Are you both up for this?"
Link stood up nodding. "Yeah, let's go get Eznik out of there." he stated confidently. He knew Navi would help him once he got inside, but he knew that he couldn't be depending on her the whole time. He was going to have to speak up and say what he needed to.
Navi nodded. "We aren't going to back out of this. So let's go!" she sang, even if inside she was still torn apart and quite apprehensive. She knew that this had to come first. She had to be all in for this to work. After all of this was over, she could then talk to Link about the emotions and memories that she had. She deeply prayed that she'd be able to teleport if it became necessary.
