Chapter 12: Focus

A light knock was heard on Eznik's door. A young girl who looked to be in her early teens opened the door looking in. "Eznik… We need to talk." Her voice and demeanor seemed much more mature than her physical body looked. Her skin was a light teal color; she had green markings that covered her skin. As for her hair it was blue and long.

Eznik sat up slowly. He looked up at her; he seemed to be a mess. He didn't get much sleep, mostly tossing and turning. He nodded some as he ran his hand through his bangs trying to fix his hair some. He winced as she turned on the lights. "I guess the rest of you are here then?" he queried as he watched her walk up and sit in his computer chair.

The girl nodded. "Gajra went to go check in on your sister. The others went to go find Deka and Zigor." She studied him closely, she could tell he was taking this all fairly well. He didn't have his fake smile he always carried with him. "Lantis said he is willing to help with his crew. Along with the fact that he also supposedly has the location of Brat and along the man I assume you know, Orme?" Eznik nodded as he looked down. It seemed they were going to have more help on this, then he realized but still he knew it was a death trap. The government knows that her crew will try to save her, so they can get everyone they wanted with one elaborate setup.

"Eznik… You know as well as I that the rest of the crew doesn't understand the full risk of this mission. They're too young to understand. Either they will all be killed or they will be constantly on the run the rest of their lives, never feeling safe ever again." She leaned back in the chair watching Eznik as he put on his glasses.. "They have families outside of this crew that will take punishment for their actions as well..like Deka has 13 sisters and a brother; the government will have them all as test experiments. Sakki has an uncle that they could find and do whatever they want to him."

Eznik backed up on his bed leaning up against the wall listening to her. "You should give them all more credit. It's true they are much younger than me and you, but all of them had been hurt extensively by the government in one way or another. They know how corrupt it is.. along with what its tactics are and what all it is capable of. I can make some phone calls to get their families to safe places. That is not a problem" He knew she wouldn't approve so before she could speak he added. "I know they have to change their lives but still I think they would be willing to make that sacrifice."

He looked at her. She shook her head as she let out a sigh. "You want them to do this. But do you think the crew can survive how Brat has for the last 2 years? Always running, all alone, nowhere safe to go, not being able to trust anyone. Even to the extent of abandoning everyone she loved. Do you really wish that on them all?"

Eznik smiled at her childishly. "Atia, they will have each other, that's all that will matter. That's all they really need. This time it's not one of them running, it's all of them. None of them will have a reason to leave the other behind. They are a strong group and this will make them stronger, you should know that. They accept you and Gajra with open arms, even though they know one minute you could be gone forgetting all of us. As for Gajra, he doesn't even speak to anyone yet they sit there and ramble on to him about stuff. Deka and Zigor even have made it a game to see if they can annoy him enough to make him talk, if only to tell them to shut up. You're all family and in the end that's what really matters." It was the one thing that he had learned thanks to Navi and his sister.

Atia looked at the ground. "What about the non-mergers? The ones on the TV you dragged along with you, I'm pretty sure they are on the ship now. Do they understand that they might not be able to go home after this?" she asked as she looked at him. She could tell by his expression it was a no. "You got them into this mess and you didn't tell them the risk that this involves? What were you thinking Eznik, this place is not for non-mergers? They should be home, far away from all of this."

"They came here of their own freewill, Atia. They had their minds erased by the government, yet they remembered everything to come back. They chose to go and rescue me knowing the risk was that they might die. They are both pure hearted and are willing to risk what they have to help." He argued the two cases.

"Being pure isn't always a good thing. Such leaves you naive along with the fact that you never have a life of your own. You're too busy looking to help other people instead of living your own life. That's how Brat always was, self sacrificing, being the martyr and that's why she is a prisoner right now. She didn't want you to suffer your last few months in a holding cell. So she offered her whole life for your few months." Atia snapped at him. She was taking this quite personally. She didn't want to watch her friends get killed as she had to live with it the rest of her lives.

Eznik looked away from her. He knew the words she spoke were true, and it was a painful truth. As much as he admired the two innocents, it was their downfall as well. It was something that people want to be but in the end it's that which gets them killed or else leaves them in regret.

Atia looked at the ground. "Either you talk to them or I will. The crew and those two need to decide if this is really worth risking their lives for. I know Gotenoo and Rin have truly no family to risk in this, but you know that Rin can't live without Zigor at her side. As for Gotenoo she loves the crew, she couldn't live being away from them. This crew is her family and she will lose that if she went and the others didn't or visa versa. They all have the risk of losing anything and everything they care about, just for Brat. You know as well as I, Brat let herself be captured because she feels that she deserves what's coming to her. So why should they go risk everything for someone who just plain gave up?"

Eznik looked at her. "Brat has no clue what they are going to do. And unfortunately she believes she is going to be sitting in an isolation chamber rotting away the rest of her life. But No! They are going to experiment on her! They are going to do whatever they can to find out how she killed all of those people so they can have a new weapon. That would be the last thing she would want!"

"And you didn't tell her. That is your fault, Eznik. You felt guilty that someone hacked your files and got whatever files that you had about Brat. You never bothered to tell her what that meant if they got hold of her. I doubt that you even told her that they got hold of those files because of your guilt of such.. You still haven't even told the crew not even me how she killed them all. If you're going to let us all go on this suicide mission you better tell us, how and why she did it." Atia got up to her feet. "And stop blaming yourself for her turning herself in. She would have done it for any of us; the last thing she would want is us tearing ourselves up over it."

Atia walked up to the door looking back at him sympathetically. "I don't want to see those kids die Eznik; and if any of them do, you know it will tear Brat apart worst than she already is. And I know I couldn't take seeing the people I love die in front of me, again. I know you're one of the best doctors in all the many dimensions, but even with your skills you can't treat every wound and every fatal injury successfully. Sometimes people are just shot dead there is no undoing it. And even with as much money you have, you won't be able to find someone who can resurrect the 's not possible." She walked out of the room. She took in a deep breath trying to calm her mind.

Atia headed towards the mess hall. She was going to wait for Eznik, if he didn't start talking, she would. She didn't want to see her friends die. She did not want to see them risk all. She already was going to have to deal with them dying of old age later on, but she couldn't take them getting slaughtered.

A tall man walked into the medical wing. He had maroon hair that had leaves growing in it. He walked up to Autum's bed. He looked her over as she laid there. He could see the extent of her injuries. She would be no good for the group, yet he knew that she was needed for this mission ahead.

He pulled off a gourd that was hanging from his pants setting on the table. He then pulled off a medical gun from his pants as well. He pulled out the vial that was in it. His purple eyes studied the vials on the hover table by the bed. He snatched one putting it into the gun. He shot it into Autum's side.

Autum opened her eyes letting out a small cry. "Autum, I know you're in a lot of pain. But I need you to focus." Autum looked at the man who spoke to her. His voice of was low and calm. "Gajra.." she acknowledged quietly. She went to sit up but the pain rushed through her. She gritted her teeth closing her eyes.

Gajra set the gun down grabbing his gourd. "I have been saving this for an emergency and since we are going to need your help if we want to save Brat, apparently this is that emergency." he stated as he opened it up and moved it to her lips. He slowly fed it to her. "To the very last drop, Autum, swallow it down." He then moved it away as she finished it up.

Autum's started coughing some. "That tastes like shit." she complained as she watched him close the gourd back up. She looked Gajra over as this was the most that she had ever heard him speak. She knew something was up if he was talking.

As she observed him she still couldn't figure out why he hung around with Brat's crew. He was nothing like them. The others were more hyper and enjoyed social interaction yet he was silent and seemed to hate everyone. He also was a lot older than all of them, yet he hung out with all of them though rarely speaking a word.

"It's a healing herbal tea I made. It will heal up your injuries." he informed her as he glanced down at her. He walked over to a seat. He sat down closing his eyes and crossing his arms.

Autum sat up slowly; the tea seemed to have fast effects she thought as she did. She studied Garja as he sat there. He had vines through his hair that came down his neck and wrapped around his arms. He wore a pair of baggy torn up trousers and his shirt was green with a couple of leaf patches on it. "Thanks." She spoke up to him.

Gajra opened his eyes looking at her. He nodded a little. His eyes went to the door as Eznik walked in. "Autum, you should be resting." Eznik lectured as he walked up to her bed. He looked over at Gajra; he assumed that he had something to do with this.

"I'm fine…" she declared as she hopped off the bed. She let out a small cry. She grabbed the bed as her leg that was broken still wasn't fully healed. She closed her eyes as she pulled herself up with her good hand. She was pushing herself too much still, she realized needing and wanting to be already healed.

Eznik walked up to her. "Even though what Gajra gave you is speeding up the process of healing, you still need to rest till the process is done. I'm sure that's why he still is in here, to make sure that you rest." he pointed out as he watched her plop down in the chair next to her bed. She looked up at Eznik. "I'm resting, happy?" she quipped as her eyes moved their attention to Gajra. She still couldn't believe that he spoke to her along with giving her one of the special herbal teas he makes. Such takes years to collect all the ingredients as well as years for the special tea to reach its potency; as if making some fine wine

Eznik looked over at Gajra. "Will you make sure she stays here till her wounds are healed?" he asked as he rather not have Autum mess up the healing of her body. He watched Gajra give a small nod. "I'll be in the mess hall." He looked at Autum. "If you need anything I'm sure Gajra can get it." He headed out of the room. He held his head as he thought about how he was going to tell the crew everything.

Gajra got up out of his chair. He walked over to a closet opening it up. He rolled out a wheelchair walking it up to Autum. He looked at her nodding at the chair. Autum smirked at him thinking that they were getting one over on Eznik. She got out of the chair and stumbled into the wheelchair. She positioned herself in it. She was still in a bit of pain but it was nothing like before.

"Eznik…" A low voice spoke up behind him. Eznik turned looking back at the two. He was a bit shocked that Gajra would do something like this. "I believe your sister has a right to know what you're going to tell the crew.." Gajra spoke while looking straight into Eznik's eyes. He didn't want to leave any loose ends in this fight. Gajra knew they all needed to be on the same level of information, understanding and trust, for this to even work.

Eznik nodded slowly and he knew that Gajra was right. Autum deserved to know as well as the rest of the crew. She needed to know what she was going after in this mission and what all it might cost her. Only problem was this was going to be hard for him to explain and tell everyone. This was something beyond him, he rather just vanish, because he blamed himself for it. Now he had to admit to everyone his failings.

"That makes sense, right?" Deka chuckled as she looked at Link and Navi. She had been talking to them about the crew and trying to explain Zigor's and Rin's relation. "Wait, wait… he's 17 and she's over 400 years old… yet he's her dad?" Navi asked as she scratched her head. She looked at Zigor and Rin. "That's not possible, right?"

Deka nodded. "She's a bit blind that's why she tackled yah honey, also why she thinks Zigor is her dad." She looked at Link smiling. Link shook his head that he understood. "If she's blind how is she an assassin then?" Link asked just as confused as Navi was about those two 'relations' and their stories.

Deka looked over at Zigor and Rin who were playing with a small ball with Gotenoo and Sakki. They were hitting it back and forth with their hands. "She has an incredible sense for reading energy, and quite the nose as well when she is focused. But she is only like that when she is away from her 'daddy'. Also, if she gets a taste of the person's blood that she needs to kill she can track them almost anywhere, so she says. Never seen her do that, because when I am around her she is always around 'daddy."

The two nodded as they were trying to figure out these people. They were a very confusing and complex group of people. Link looked at the door as Atia walked in. Link remembered seeing her in the drawing of Brat's crew and if his memory was serving him correctly there would be only one more crew member they haven't met yet.

"Atia! Come over here, yah got to meet the two Non-merges" Deka waved at her to come over to the group. Atia walked up slowly as she studied the two. They looked like they weren't even from a dimension that had any kind of technology, which to her just made it more mortifying that they were involved in this.

Atia held out her hand to Link. "I'm Atia." she said, introducing herself as she shook his hand. "Link" he replied, nodding a little. He looked to Navi. "This is here is Navi." Navi smiled waving at Atia. "Nice to meet you!" Navi said trying to make a good impression on the girl. Something about Atia though seemed a little off to her though.

Deka smiled. "Atia here is an Astral Being. She's not a big fan of technology." She looked at Link and Navi."So you should have a lot in common." she chuckled.

Atia shook her head as she sat down. Her attention went over to the others who were playing a game. As she watched she realized that he didn't want to see all of this end. She cared a lot for all of these kids, they so reminded her of her own kids that she once had.

"What's an Astral being?" Navi asked, looking at Atia as she studied her. "Basically, a being not from this mortal plane. My plane rests under, what I believe is what you probably call heaven." Atia spoke up looking at the two. "Oh." said Navi in surprise.

Link ears perked as he watched Eznik, Gajra and surprisingly Autum come into the room. He was surprised that she was out of bed, when they had woken her earlier she was in agonizing pain, yet here she was sitting up in the wheelchair.

Gajra pushed Autum up next to Atia. He walked over and sat at a separate table from the rest of them. He watched Atia get up and walked over next to him. He didn't' say anything to her nor did she speak to him.

"Autum, you doing better?" Link asked as he moved next to her. Autum nodded. "Yeah, thanks to Gajra." She looked over at him as Link eyes followed hers. "He had some medicine; I should be healed up in no time." She smiled some at him. She looked up at Deka who was standing there grinning. "Oh, god go ahead and spit it out…" she spat as she rolled her eyes at Deka.

"Awe, Autum yah have a little friend. It's so nice because yah are usually such a bitch!" Deka chuckled. "Only people yah seemed nice to were Brat, Gotenoo, Kali and um well yah know your psychotic sister Siran…But here you are being nice to this laddy. It's good to see a bit of change from yah. Does that mean you're going to be nice to me now?"

Autum looked away from her. "No… You can go shove your tail up your ass Deka.." Link and Navi looked between the two. Their guess that their first impression of Autum was still how most people see her as she sends that message. Link smiled a little, it was nice to see Autum doing much better, even if she was acting like a bitch.

Deka leaned over to Link. "So what's your secret? Huh? How did yah make her not be a bitch?" she laughed. Link shook his head at her, she didn't seem to take too much seriously. His eyes went to Eznik who walked up to the table.

Eznik took a deep breath letting it out as he calmed his nerves. "Hey! Come on over here guys we got business to talk about!" He raised his voice so the group who was playing could hear him. He glanced at Navi and Link. He knew that he would have to talk to them more after this; he was going to tell them to go home.

Zigor vanished, appearing in a seat across from Deka. He looked back at the others smirking. "You cheated!" Gotenoo cried as she ran up and jumped to sit on a chair. She missed hitting the ground. "owie.." She rubbed her head as she got up and sat on the end next to Deka. Rin claimed her chair next to her dad. Sakki sat on the end next to Rin away from the guys in the room.

Eznik looked at all of them. It had been over a year since this many of them had gotten together. "Well, I guess this is a bit of a celebration since we haven't been together like this in quite awhile." he emphasized as he smiled some. He looked over at Atia and Gajra, who were much more serious about this than the rest.

His eyes trailed back to the group as he sat down. "Alright, we need to talk. We need to get to the serious stuff. I know you all are here to help get Brat out, but some of you I know have families outside of this crew." He looked at Deka and then to Sakki. "You need to understand that once you set foot on that station your families now become a risk factor in all of this."

"My family hates the government. Shit, I doubt they could even locate my family Eznik. I barely even know where to find them because of how much they move about now-a-days" Deka proclaimed. "And I think we know that risk, Eznik. We wouldn't have come here if we didn't. This is a do or die mission. We all realize that, but hell, if we can do this we will be hitting the government hard! That there is part of the reason this all seems so inviting. And yah know that little puff head kitty is our friend and we aren't going to let no DP keep her from us." Deka smirked.

"What about you, Sakki?" Eznik asked as he looked at him. He knew that Sakki hated his guts, but he still cared for the kid. He was the youngest of the group and hadn't truly been with the crew that long. Brat let him hang around since he had lost everything he ever knew. Sakki looked at Deka and then to Eznik. "I knew the risk when I joined this crew in the first place. I owe Brat, she gave me a home. Besides, my uncle and I really aren't on talking terms..."

Eznik let out a sigh as he was trying to be as serious as he could and point out the true hazards. "Well, you know the government doesn't care about such, Sakki. They could care less whether you two are on talking terms or not. They will torture him just for knowing you, just for being your family whether he has anything to do with you or not. The government doesn't care one way or the other. They do whatever they please. They are the authoritarian power so they can; fair or not."

"We can get a message to his uncle so he can do whatever he needs to do, take whatever cover or precautions he needs to, to protect himself." spoke out Deka. Sakki nodded his head. "That sounds ok to me. I owe him no more than that."

"Well, I want you all to realize that Brat walked into this mess on her own, of her own freewill. She gave herself up knowing that there would be no coming back." spelled out Eznik. He looked at Gotenoo who was staring at the table. He knew this was going to be hard for her, but this wasn't the time for him to coddle her for she as well needed to know the truth about the sequence of events and the account of the many deplorable consequences that could take place..

"Brat disappeared, then shows up 2 years later. She thinks she can get away from us by running to the DP, well, she's wrong." Zigor spoke up. "She knows if she got captured that we would go after her ass, even if she didn't want us to. She knows how this crew works. And if we succeed this will give us something over her so she can't bail on us again."

Eznik smiled some, but he realized that they were still all young and believed that they had more of a chance at this than they really had. "I want you all to think about this, including you two." he sternly voiced as he looked at Link and Navi. "The moment you go into that station, your faces will be plastered all over the TV. You will become one of the most wanted. You will be running the rest of your lives and there will be no breaks, no time outs...no little vacations. People aren't going to forgive you or give you refuge like they have in the past. The government will make sure of that."

Eznik cleared his throat as he then went on "And Link and Navi, you might not even be able to go back home if you do this. The first time they truly let you off easy. They won't be so forgiving the second time."

Link and Navi looked at each other. They might not get to go home? Link knew now that Navi didn't truly belong in his world, but what about him? Did Hyrule really need him? He didn't know what to do.

"Please everyone realize this isn't a game... this is serious business, serious stakes and it's going to change all of your lives and not for the better. And I fear for many, end your lives. You all need to wake out of your fantasies of heros and heroines and realize what really is on the line here.""

Atia then spoke up "What if you go in there to save Brat and come out with three less crew members? Is that a price you're willing to pay? You have to understand that possibility is need to realistically think things out. For as tough, talented, smart and sly as you all are the government is more than prepared and is a credible foe… and we, as well will be totally outnumbered."

"She's right and they also have the latest technology on their side, as well as the best and newest weapons and all within their ranks are highly trained. Now, I'm not asking for your yes or no just yet. I don't want your answers now. I want you to all think about it. There's so much more to this then whether it's the right thing to do or not. You need to look at all the ways this thing can turn rotten on us."

Eznik looked around at the group as they had become very quiet. No-one giving eye contact. It seems as if they were taking this seriously and thinking things out. Still Eznik knew that despite their fears they would still say that they were onboard, he knew this crew. But he did realize that Link and Navi didn't belong here. Atia was right. He was definitely telling them to go home. He then added " As you contemplate the many outcomes, realize I'm not done telling you everything."

Everyone looked to him wondering what else he could add for it seemed like he had hit all the sequences and consequences. "I'm now going to tell you something I think you all have a right to know especially since you all were so wanting to risk everything for my daughter. I'm going to tell you all what happened that day on Station Orion…" This was going to be the first he ever told anyone what happened that day. He promised Brat he wouldn't but Atia was right the crew deserved to know.

Eznik looked at the table thinking where to even begin. They all remained silent which wasn't a normal for the group. He let out a sigh. "Brat and Gotenoo went to go meet a scientist who claimed to have a cure for what was wrong with Brat. But he didn't, he was just part of a bigger plan, just one of the pawns in the experiment they were doing that day on all of those people."

Eznik looked up at them. "The scientist asked for her necklace, you know the one she got pissed off if any of you touched it. Well, she hoped for a cure, trusted the scientist and handed it see, that collar was a seal to hold her from transformation. He wouldn't give it back and she transformed into a horrible beast."

Eznik coughed. He then continued on "This beast, she does not have any control over, its instinct is to kill and eat its prey like any beast. All of those people on that station were her prey as they had no escape. That's why she knocked you out cold, Gotenoo. She feared for your life as she felt herself starting to transform so she knocked you out before she lost her sanity." He looked at the group as he wasn't sure how they were going to take such information.

"As for how they knew she could transform...that be my fault, someone hacked into my files and stole the information. Information on all of you." He trailed off. "I had been working with Brat for a while with this problem, behind all of your backs. She didn't want any of you to know what a horrible thing lurked inside of her." Eznik looked at Gotenoo as she jumped up out of her seat.

"It doesn't matter what she did! She's my sister and that stupid government used her! They tricked her, promising her a cure!" Gotenoo cried out. She was fighting her own emotions so hard. Gotenoo closed her eyes trying to hold her tears in. "Awe, pumpkin, we all know that." Deka pleaded as she stood up and hugged her.

Autum let out a small sigh." I have a request as well…" She looked up from the table looking out at the group gathered. "I would like your guys to help get my .. husband.. out of the station as well. He is probably going to be held in the same station as Brat. I only ask if you are sure you are willing to risk your life and freedom for Brat, because without me you're not getting her out of there."

Autum slowly went to her feet. "Even though you will make many enemies you will make many allies as well, ones who will fight valiantly by your side against such horrific odds. There are many that hate the government and wish to take it down."

Autum heaved out another sigh. "You're all young,so you need to think about the risk Eznik and I have asked of you. Even you two." She looked over at Atia and Gajra. "Neither of you may have ties to the social side of dimensions, but these people are your friends and family. You will be losing something in this even if you two don't want to admit it."

Eznik nodded at his sister as she finished her address to the group. His attention then went to Navi and Link. "I need to talk to both of you…in private." Eznik said as he went to get up, but Autum's put her hand on his shoulder. She looked at Gotenoo then back to Eznik. "Your daughter needs you now and you need her just as much. I'll talk to them…" Autum conveyed. She looked to Link and Navi. "Come on you two.." Autum headed out of the room limping some leaving the wheelchair behind.

Link picked up Navi and walked out of the room following Autum. He could tell by the way she was walking, she wasn't completely healed looked at Autum who was leaning back against the wall in the hallway. He walked up a cross from her and leaned back against the wall facing her.

"This isn't your two's place. You should both go home." Autum spoke up. "You got lucky when you went to save Eznik. They were all more interested in Brat than you. Where we are going is no place for either of you." Autum looked at both of them. "Coming with us, you will you lose your home more likely your lives. And when your home planet needs it's hero you won't be there to save it and it will fall because of you. We don't expect you to risk that for Brat and Celtic. You're both pure innocence and all you think about is helping someone else. This time you got to think about yourself, because this time you will have guilt if you don't pick with your heart and soul. Because do you think you can live with yourself if your home planet was destroyed because you weren't there?"

Navi looked away from Autum thinking about what she had said. She looked at Link who was looking at the ground. In the end, she felt it was up to him. She would follow him wherever he went. Because in the end her true home was long gone and her new home was with Link, wherever his travels took them.

Link looked up at Autum. "What would you do, if this was your choice?" Autum shook her head. "I don't know your life Link. I had a choice just as hard, when I was about your age. I still regret the choice I picked, because I was just running not understanding that I was running so not truly knowing myself and how I felt when I picked. Kind of like diving in head first into a lake without testing to see how shallow or deep the waters are first or entering an unknown cave without the proper equipment and supplies one might need."

"I don't understand what choice did you have to pick from that you now regret?" Link questioned as he looked at her. He didn't know what his heart wanted. He didn't know how to pick something for himself. All he knew was to help other people, he didn't want to let people down. It felt like either choice he would be. "I picked to go to war rather than stay with my family. I ran from my family and tried to get myself killed in a war rather than dealing with my feelings or asking for help. It was a war that I didn't even know what each side was fighting for. And in the end, it was the wrong side I joined, the side that was killing just to overthrow the other." Autum sadly admitted as she walked up to him slowly.

She put her hand on his shoulder. "You have time to think about this, hero. Don't you dare pick it because of me or the others. Pick carefully. If you want to live in this world where everything around you is lifeless then you know your choice but if you want to go home where life is all around you and where you truly belong then you know what your choice is. We won't condemn you for what you pick, because we understand where you're coming from. We here wish we had such an easy choice"

Autum looked at Navi who seemed to be lost in her own thoughts. "Why don't you go talk it over with Navi." Autum suggested as she looked back at the blonde. "You two decide what will make you both happy." She smiled weakly as she moved her hand and tapped Link on his chin. She started to limp on down the hall.

Link watched her, his ears drooping. He wanted to help her and the others, but if he did what would happen to Hyrule? Would he never be able to go home? He stood with his heart sinking; he didn't even know what he wanted. He looked at Navi with his blue eyes. He wanted to say he needed help, but no words would come.

Autum walked into Eznik's bedroom. She limped up to his computer chair sitting down. She closed her eyes from the pain from her leg was getting to her. Her guess she might have messed it up further when she hopped off of the bed. She glanced towards the computer screen; she turned the chair and started to type on it.

A window appeared on the computer screen. A woman with dark blue hair appeared in the window. Her green eyes looked at Autum on the screen. "Oh, this is a surprise Autum. How have you been?" The woman spoke to Autum smiling.

Autum glanced away from the screen. "Corlay…." She back at the screen. "Mom, I need to talk about some stuff I have done. Stuff I haven't told anyone else, if you will listen.." Autum asked as she knew that she might not be coming back from this little mission. And she felt like it was time for her to at least try to connect with her stepmom even if it was just telling her story to her. What more she needed someone to tell the family what happened to her and Eznik if they didn't hear back from them.
