Cal Kestis, Inquisitor
Cal Kestis, padawan to jedi master Jaro Tapal. Cal was unable to escape Order 66, and with his connection to the force shattered, he must remember his training if he is to survive. With the Dark Side as his ally, will he be able to trust anyone? With he be able to rejoin the light? Will the flashbacks get annoying?! Let's find out!
This will be similar and different to the game. For instance, you don't get to play.
I thought of this after playing the new game+ in Fallen Order. Hope you enjoy it.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
A planet full of decommissioned Republic and Separatist ships come into view, before we follow a probe droid to a young man working on a ship.
The young man, around 26, with dark orange hair, two scars, one across his nose, the other going just under his ear, was welding some metal together. He didn't really care why he was doing it, but it helped pay for his room. He was wearing a Bracca scavenger poncho, while dirty, it helped hide his real uniform. A black, baggy bodysuit with red highlights and a jet black, armor chest plate. He had two gauntlets, a belt that connected two metal guards on his waist. He had two shoulder guards that had two symbols scratched out.
He was wearing an air purifier so he wouldn't suffocate on the fumes being emitted from his wielding, and some headphones that were playing music. He felt a tap on his shoulder.
He turned and saw Prauf, then proceeded to remove his headphones. He saw Prauf shiver a bit when he saw his eyes, they were a dark and corrupted amber-yellow that calculated every move.
"Hey Cal, I don't want to upset your rhythm, but the boss wants a word."
Cal looked over to the robot that was looking at him and Prauf expectantly. Cal nodded to Prauf and they walked to the boss. Cal took off his mask and put it away.
"Yeah?" Cal's voice was cold and devoid of most emotion, something else Prauf lightly shivered at.
"There is an error on line 2B. I need two workers to secure it."
Cal raised an eyebrow, "That's a dangerous job."
The robot nodded, "The guild will pay you double for the shift."
"Woah! Cal!" Cal looked at Prauf, "You could do a lot with those credits."
Cal frowned a bit before nodding. It wouldn't be too hard of a job, it's just dangerous because of the rain and the older tech.
"Alright, let's go." Prauf started to jog off, and Cal followed.
While he wouldn't admit it to anybody, Prauf was Cal's only friend on this junk heap of a planet. Prauf, while obviously scared of Cal, (he wasn't afraid to tell Cal that,) cared for Cal and helped him out when Cal needed it.
After a bit of climbing and jumping, and apologizing that one of the platforms fell(Prauf's fault.), they made it to an open spot where the rain fell onto their heads.
"Wow, look at that, a Separatist Lucrehulk-class Battleship! Haven't seen one in ages! It'll be good money to break her in!"
Cal just nodded in agreement. He didn't really care about the credits, but they helped. He mostly just hated the ship and would relish taking it apart.
Out of the corner of his eye he noticed Prauf going on ahead, Cal looked away from the ship and started going through the small opening. He noticed some idiots drop some barrels as he came through the opening. They destroyed the ladder that Prauf had just climbed up, almost hitting him.
"Sorry!" One of them called out, Cal just glared at her.
"You alright Praun?" Prauf chuckled, it was an old name Cal used to call, and still does, Prauf because Cal misheard it the first time and he just refused to correct himself.
"Yeah, I'm fine Cal, ladder's out though, you'll have to find another way around."
Cal grunted, but nodded, "I'll meet you there."
Cal walked to a metal slant, and jumped down. Sliding down smoothly and landing in front of an irritable robot.
"Debark this barge immediately, you are not approved trash."
Cal glared at the robot, before looking around and noticing a passing probe droid. He scoffed before kicking the robot's leg as he passed by. The satisfying CLUNK! as the robot slammed into the floor of the barge and started cursing was almost music to Cal. Not as good as the Rolling Banthas, but pretty close.
As Cal jumped, climbed, almost fell when a platform jerked and sparked under his hands, he noticed some more probe droids flying about.
"Careful Cal," He looked to his left and saw one of Prauf's friends, "Don't want to fall off now."
Cal just gave them a look as he crossed a metal beam.
As he was walking toward a small opening, he stepped on a scraprat that was stupid enough to scurry in front of him. It didn't last long under his scuffed up boot.
He scooted through the opening, jumped and climbed on a few more pathways, seeing Prauf for a second, before dropping onto a platform, surprising a bald lady.
"How'd you get here?!" She questioned.
Cal just glared, and she gulped before getting back to work.
He then swung from a rope and grabbed onto a metal grate very skillfully before dropping onto another metal slant, sliding down easily and stopping quickly at the bottom. He heard two workings talking about a ship cutter, and saw it take the wing off one of the Republic cruisers. Below the cruiser was a couple of AT-STs and a few AT-TEs, a gunship or two was also down there.
He saw a rope and was about to climb it before looking to his right and saw a Republic Gunship. He walked over to it and placed his hands over one of the blaster shots. He had seen this ship before, he was going to steal it and get off planet but the blaster shots had put it out of commission, while the glass would be air tight, the engine was long gone. He stepped on one of the clone helmets next to it and crushed it.
He started to climb the rope and the ship cutter had finished its job and the wing was flown away. As he got on the metal beam, he saw the massive sarlacc that had been there long before him, and most likely, way after.
"Cal!" He looked up and saw Prauf, "Use the manual override level below."
He hopped onto the clamp and pulled the level, Prauf did something which pulled it up.
"Alright! Clamp secured!"
When Cal jumped to the second clamp, a metal piece fell off.
"You alright?!" Prauf seemed a bit panicked. Cal just smiled.
"Yes, I'm fine."
"Phew! Gave me a scare there."
Cal jumped to the third one and pulled the level, letting Prauf do his thing.
"We're done! Got on up here."
When Cal pulled himself up, he saw something that Prauf was excited about. A jedi fighter. Over 5 years old.
"Come take a look at this! A jedi fighter! This would make any scapper's day! This thing's been here, what? Four years?!"
"Five…" Cal remembered when it was brought down here.
"Heh, Whoever flew this went down in a blaze of glory!" Prauf walked around the ship a bit. Cal walked to the wing, "Those jedi… A real tragedy…"
Cal scowled in anger, 'Some, maybe, not all were a tragedy.'
"I-I've always said, they couldn't all be traitors..."
Cal brushed his gloved hand against the wing. It was covered in rust and dust and soot. He wiped some of it off the jedi symbol. It used to be a dark blue, but you could hardly tell by the damage.
"... Sure…" Cal didn't care if they were all traitors or not.
"Ah… Welp! Guess it's just our lucky day. Empire's gonna get a lot of good material out of it."
Prauf took in a breath, "Yep. Here we are, scrapping these ships from the war, all so they can just make new ones! What a racket, huh?"
Cal saw the black astromech droid, all of its power gone, stuck in the fighter when it crashed. Sad.
"All of us, risking our necks for the bosses. And the pay was better back in the republic too!"
Cal walked over to Prauf, "You should really watch what you say, a probe droid could be listening."
"Listen to me. A finder's fee like this… It could be your ticket off this soggy rock!"
"... Could be… But what if I don't want to leave?"
Prauf chuckled, "Come on Cal, you're a young guy. You don't want to end up like me." Cal raised an eyebrow, "Eventually, you gotta move on and live your life. Find your destiny!"
"My destiny was destroyed long-" before Cal could finish, they both heard a noise and looked to the sound. It was a ship cutter. It was surprisingly silent before now. Maybe the ship had distracted him more than he thought, "... Whatever you say Praun. We should get back down." He started to walk back to the metal grate.
"Hey, you're not listening to me though," Prauf grabbed him by the shoulder. Prauf was the only one who could touch him, anyone else who tried would either have a broken arm or over the edge of a platform before they could blink. It happened to one of the workers who thought Cal was stealing from him. It wasn't a pretty sight when he landed.
Cal looked back to Prauf, who was about to continue before they heard another sound, "What was that?"
They looked and saw a cable snap and fly off with some sparks. The second cable started to break. Cal's eyes widened when he knew what was about to happen. He was about to grab for Prauf, but it was too late. The second cable snapped and the wing started to shudder.
"Cal, look out!" It was far too late for that, the wing started to fall and Cal rolled forward, as did Prauf. Cal quickly shifted and was sliding, feet first. Unable to get to his feet, he used his hands to balance himself. He dodged all the metal in his way as he tried to catch up to Prauf. Before he could even reach out, they both slipped over the edge.
Some cables wrapped around his foot and caught him before he could fall down to the sarlacc. He looked and saw Prauf struggling to get a grip on the wet metal.
"Prauf! You ok?!"
"C-cal, I can't climb up!" He sounded panicked and scared, not good. He slipped and grabbed onto a lower piece of metal, even worse!
"Prauf! Just hang on!"
"I'm slipping!"
"No! Don't let go!" Cal noticed a probe droid watching them, and most likely transmitting a signal for help, but Cal knew Prauf wouldn't be able to hold on that long.
"I can't hold on…" He fell further and just barely grabbed onto a loose piece of metal. He was struggling hard, which was making it worse.
"Prauf!"
He fell.
Cal didn't even hesitate, he used his only ability in the force before his connection was shattered.
Force slow. It worked and Prauf was slowed. He looked like he was glitching as his descent slowed to a crawl. A barge came into Cal's view under Prauf and he let go of the slow. A metal beam then slammed into Prauf's gut and pelvis with a nasty crunch. Cal jumped down to the barge.
"You ok, Prauf?" He rushed over to Prauf.
"I'm alright. Just pinned down." Cal started to lift the metal beam before Prauf pushed him off, towards the robot pilot.
"Pilot's gone." Cal shoved the useless junk of metal over the edge of the barge and started to pilot it away from the avrigated sarlacc, "Hold on, I'll get us out of here."
One of the tentacles moved over the barge, "Cal! Look out!"
Another tentacle slammed into the back on the engine, making it smoke and spark. Cal quickly sailed away from the dangerous creature. The barge was shuddering and shaking.
Cal growled, "This thing is barely flying! Hold on!"
The barge spun a bit out of control, but Cal was able to land in a controlled crash. Cal rushed back over to Prauf.
"Prauf, you alright?" Cal started to lift the metal beam.
"Yeah, yeah…" He watched Cal lift the beam a bit over his leg in an impressive display of strength. He quickly moved his legs out from under the beam and Cal let go, it slammed loudly onto the metal deck.
"Ok, we gotta move. Come on." Cal put Prauf's arm over his shoulder.
"Hell happened?" Prauf asked, "What was that back there? Was it... Was that you? Wha- Th-that was the force, wasn't-"
"Just forget what you saw, ok?!" Cal interrupted him before Prauf could finish his question, "Just trust me."
"No! B-but, I've s-seen them. I've seen the stories, I've heard it. It never…"
"Prauf!" Cal once again interrupted.
"There's bounties out there for-"
"I know! I know." Cal held a finger up.
Prauf had a look of understanding, "Yeah… Alright. We need to be careful."
Cal blinked a bit in surprise, before nodding, "Yeah."
Prauf then smiled as they started walking and limping to the train. Cal raised an eyebrow, "What?"
"You called me Prauf. It's been a while since you called me that."
"I don't know what you're talking about, Praun."
Prauf just laughed.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
Cal was relaxing with the rocking of the train, Prauf was sitting next to him, Cal could feel his anxiety, even with his shattered connection to the force.
Prauf leaned over, "You holding up ok?"
"Yes, you?"
"Yeah, heh," Prauf was silent for a second, "Cal… I've been working with you for some time now. I've never seen you do anything like that before."
Cal's eyes widened a bit, clearly showing his amber-yellow eyes, before shifting his position so he was closer to Prauf.
"Heh, we've been through some hell together," Prauf chuckled lightly, "So… I know the risk that you took for me. Even if no one else would understand why you would. I just… I just don't know how to repay you."
"Don't mention it. Ever." Cal's voice was colder than ice.
"O-oh, you don't have to worry about me. But, this place… It's not safe."
They both looked around at the other passengers who were talking or resting.
"Maybe you should, you know, disappear?"
Cal nodded, "Just need to grab a few things from my apartment, grab my bag. Tabbers owes me a favor."
Prauf nodded, "Yeah. Heard he was up on Nar Shaddaa."
Cal nodded again, "... You won't be seeing me for a while... If ever."
"Yeah… Yeah… Okay... Okay Cal..."
Cal leaned back on to the metal wall of the train, and closed his eyes. When he opened them, he noticed Prauf was gone. He got up and walked through the crowd.
"Praun?"
He opened the door with a small beep and noticed Prauf at the end of the car, going through the other door.
"Praun, wait up."
He shoved his way through the people and aliens in the car. As he passed one of the passengers, he noticed a blue mist and some floating, white dots. He turned around to see if it was behind him and noticed all of the passengers were gone, all that was left was an astromech droid.
"What the… Where did everyone go?" He was instantly suspicious and opened the door Prauf went through.
He saw Prauf staring at him at the end of the car.
"Where are you going?"
Prauf walked through the next door. He almost made it to Prauf before the door closed. He pressed the button, but it didn't work. He tried again, nothing. Cal was about to try a third time before stopping. Noticing that there was no movement of the train, no rumbling, no sounds of droids or anything. He turned around and gasped. He was in a hallway. Not any hallway, a republic cruiser hallway. He saw an astromech droid nearby and walked towards it to get some answer.
It quickly left through the door. Cal walked cautiously towards the door. As he was about to touch it, the door went far down the hall and an alarm sounded.
He continued his walk before many of the doors closed. Cal pressed his hand to the door, before it opened and saw a face he had not seen in years. It was his master. He fell onto his back and tried to scoot back before he felt the force surround him and lift him into the air.
His master's hand was in the air.
Jero Tapal spoke in a rough voice, "Apprentice, mark well and listen."
"Master?" Cal felt afraid, he felt like a young padawan again.
"You may have fallen, but do not lose faith. Trust only in the force."
His master clenched his fist and dropped Cal. With a slam to his head…
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
He woke up with a start. Gasping slightly, he noticed the train had stopped.
"The train has stopped…"
"Yeah, something's going on," Prauf stood up
A pair of stormtroopers opened the door and walked in, Cal stood up quickly.
"Everybody up! Identification ready!" Came the almost robotized voice of the stormtrooper. He walked to the other side of the train car. Their armor was dirty, as if they hadn't had the chance to or just decided not to clean it, "Move out and line up."
"Probably just another contraband inspection," Prauf mumbled to Cal. They all walked out of the train. The moment Cal walked out of the train, he noticed something he hadn't seen in 5 years. A purge trooper, no two purge troopers. The armor was clean and the red visor was staring at him as he passed.
'Not good. This means whatever is going on is serious.' Cal thought.
He looked up when he heard a sound, it was a tie interceptor, but… It was modified. Looked stronger. It landed next to a big ship with two big wings. It was familiar, but Cal couldn't place it. Cal saw a figure climb out of the tie. She was wearing a helmet with a red visor, and shaped a bit like a samurai's. She had a sooth grey-black suit with a black cape and two imperial symbols on her shoulders. At her waist was a black hilt of a lightsaber with a half circle on it.
'Oh shit. An Inquisitor. The Second Sister. Not good.'
Out of the big ship, a big lady walked out, her right foot was made of a red metal, and she had a red, see-through visor that cut off in the middle. She wasn't wearing any shoes or boots, but she didn't need to, her large, alien foot protected her from anything on the ground. She had a lightsaber hilt similar to the Second Sister's.
'The Ninth Sister too!?'
Cal walked next to Prauf in a single file line surrounded by stormtroopers and purge troopers.
"Is this all of them?" The Second Sister asked a purge trooper.
"Yes, Second Sister."
"We seek a dangerous fugitive," The Ninth Sister was walking around as the Second Sister spoke, "This is no common anarchist, but a devotee to the treasonous jedi order." The Ninth Sister growled in disgust, Cal almost did too, he was no devotee anymore.
The Second Sister continued, "Failure to turn over this traitor, will result in a charge of sedition. Turn yourself in, or everyone present shall face summary execution."
All the purge troopers and stormtroopers raised their weapons. Everyone shuffled nervously and scared.
Cal didn't care if they died, but if Prauf died, he could never forgive himself. He was about to step forward, when Prauf took a step forward.
"I think it's time someone came forward," Cal put his arm on Prauf's shoulder.
'What are you doing, Prauf!?' His other arm was reaching behind him, Cal let go of Prauf as he reached under the back of his armor.
"I, uh… I-I've been working on this heap for a long time. Way before the war," He looked at Cal before looking around, "We rebuilt and refit ships," Cal grabbed the familiar hilt of his lightsaber, "Best in the galaxy. Then came the empire. And engineers… Became scrappers! The workers- Just started getting worked."
He walked and stood a bit behind the Second Sister.
"Prauf…" Cal was holding his lightsaber behind him.
"But we all know the truth… We're just… Too afraid to say it. To the empire… We're all just expendable!"
"Yes," The Second Sister reached for her hilt and took a couple steps closer to Prauf, "You are."
Her lightsaber opened, the half circle turned into a full circle as the lightsaber ignited, the red blade piercing through Prauf's chest.
"NOOO!" Cal turned on his lightsaber and rushed the Second Sister. His blade, just as red as hers. Her lightsaber turned on a second blade, blocking his easily predicted slash.
"A red lightsaber?" She sounded surprised… before swinging forward, knocking Cal off balance as Prauf fell to the ground. He turned towards her, ready to strike again, before he was force pushed backwards, slamming into the Second Sister's hard hand. Cal had the wind knocked out of him, his lightsaber turning off. She held him over the edge of a cliff.
"I found the jedi!" She announced, sounding foolish.
Cal growled and shouted, turning his blade on again, swinging wildly at the one holding him. She dropped him in surprise and he fell, slamming through the mostly glass roof of a passing train. He slammed to the floor, groaning in pain.
"What's that? Checking out the disturbance." Cal heard two stormtroopers walking towards him, "Hold it! Don't move!" He looked up and saw two blasters pointing at him, "How'd you get here?"
Less than a second and their heads were off their shoulders, Cal's blade turning off as he walked forward.
He saw two stormtroopers talking, "Did you hear the coms?"
"A jedi? Stay sharp."
"They won't get past us."
A blade hissed to life and they turned to see the "jedi" standing there. They opened fire, and died by their own blaster fire. Two more Stormtroopers appeared and fired and died just as quickly, falling off of the train.
Cal kept going forward, keeping his lightsaber on this time. As he neared the door, three more stormtroopers opened it and tried to fire, all of them were dismembered.
One stormtrooper was behind heavy cables, "I've sealed the cargo door!"
He was thrown from the train when the cargo door was opened as Cal walked onto the metal beam. He climbed on the side of the train into another opening and heading forward.
"She'll pay… Dearly!" He walked into the next car and saw two scout troopers with stun batons.
"Didn't see you prepare for training this morning."
"I was resting, that's how I prepare."
"That's how you prepare for death. Rest when you're dead, stormtroop- GAH!"
A red blade appeared in his chest.
"O-oh my go-!" His head was gone before he finished.
Three scout troopers hopped down into the train and were all cut to ribbons. As Cal climbed up, he had to redirect three blaster shots fired at him and three more stormtroopers fell off the train as a scout trooper was cut in half.
"Pitiful," Cal walked to the edge of a train car roof and saw another scout trooper.
"If the traitor comes this way, I'll be prepared!" He felt a sharp and burning pain as he was bisected from his shoulder to his waist. Cal continued to climb on the train to go forward.
"An intruder!" He saw four scout troopers.
"Fight us, you coward!" Cal immediately beheaded the one that called him a coward, before blocking a baton strike from behind, then grabbing the scout's arm and slicing it off, before kicking him off the train.
"Let's get him together!" One of the last scout troopers told his ally. The both jumped at Cal, who just moved to the left, cutting one in half, before throwing the top half of the scout at the remaining scout. The scout didn't get a chance to exclaim before something pierced his skull. He was dead instantly.
Cal continued into the next car, cutting some cables, and going through a small pathway.
"Get to the front of the train and stop it. Easy."
Cal walked out of the car into the rain again, before running to cover as a ship fired at him. Dashing from cover to cover as the ship fired at him, he went into the next car and saw a scout trooper say something meaningless as the ship gunned him down accidentally. As Cal ran out of the car, the ship shot the coupling out and Cal grabbed onto a metal grate. The car bottom of the train fell down almost all the way, barely being held on by the remaining coupling. Cal quickly climbed up the broken car.
When he got to an opening, he saw the ship preparing to fire at him, but before it could, it was shot down by an unknown ship. It was long, and had a long wing.
"What the…?" He saw a door open and saw an older woman in the doorway.
"We're here to help!" She shouted through the rain.
"Who are you?!"
"No time! Keep moving! We'll pick you up when we can!" The ship flew off and Cal kept climbing. When he finally reached a stable car, there was another train next to this one, stormtroopers started firing at him, and scout troopers charged at him. There were six stormtroopers and four scout troopers. Four stormtroopers were on the train.
He deflected the shots back at ones on the train, and the train left quickly, Cal could have cared less. One of the shots he deflected at one of the scout troopers, the blast going through his visor. Cal then blocked a strike at him, before stabbing him through the chest, using his body as a shield as the other two tried to hit him. He moved his blade through the scout, slicing one of the scouts in half before kicking the other one off. He moved his head to the right and a bullet flew by. He started walking towards the remaining two stormtroopers, dodging the blasts, before starting to run at them. They fired more wildly, Cal thrusted his blade into one before kicking the other in the face and stabbing him in the gut, before walking into the next car.
Suddenly the train jerked to a stop.
"Did they stop the train?" He climbed to the top of the train and saw the big ship the Second Sister was in, fly by, before bombing the rest of the train, "... Of course." A bomb went off in front of him and the train started falling and he started sliding once again. The long ship flew to the broken part of the train and stopped, the door opening, and he knew he had to jump.
"Jump now!" He heard the female shout at him, and he did, just barely grabbing onto the ramp, "Hold on!" She was scooting forward, getting ready to grab him... Before blaster fire hit the ship and Cal fell off.
He straightened himself in the air and headed towards the barge under him. He slammed into it, hard. He felt a rib break as he kept falling, barely noticing his scrapper poncho ripping to shreds. He grabbed onto a passing droid and let it float him down before he broke its arm and landed on a solid platform, rolling to a stop.
"Thank the dark side," He mumbled, before noticing the Second Sister's Tie Interceptor, "Damn you, dark side."
The Sister floated down, "Going somewhere?" She ignited her blade.
Cal ignited his own red blade and got into a stance.
"I know that stance, and is that Inquisitor armor? Where did you get it? What Master gave their life so you might live?"
"Wouldn't you like to know?!" Cal had to plan this carefully, especially with his broken rib, or ribs. He let her make the first strike. It was a mistake to let that happen.
As she slashed, he tried to parry, and was almost launched backwards from her strength. He did his best to parry, barely standing after every strike, before dodging her last strike and slashing at her, which she blocked and redirected him, making him stumble forward. Cal made another attempt, one she just moved away from, before striking again. Cal just barely parried one before being forced to dodge the rest. He was panting, his rib hurting his progress.
She slashed in an overhead strike to most likely end Cal… So Cal did what his master taught him.
He slashed back in the same matter, their blades clashing. Cal was slowly being pushed back. He was going to die, he couldn't avenge Prauf, he was going to fail his master again. Then he heard a sound. It was the long ship. It fired a blast that hit between him and the Second Sister. Cal was launched back, while a smoke screen appeared between him and her, his lightsaber clattering to the ground. The ship door opened once again and the woman was standing there with a blaster.
"Get on board!"
Cal got up slowly, grabbing his lightsaber from the ground. Rushing to the ship, hearing a lightsaber turn on behind him. He got onto the ramp and turned around, seeing her walk towards him, he was quickly pulled in the ship by the woman as she began firing at the Second Sister, who was dodging and deflecting the blasts.
"Captain!" She tried to close the door. The inquisitor jumped towards the door, slicing at the woman, almost slicing through the door, that thankfully closed before anything could happen. Cal turned on his blade, the woman noticed it nervously. Cal rushed to the cockpit, and she followed.
The Second Sister jumped onto the window and used the force to steer the ship into a circle, the captain was trying to regain control but needed help from the woman. The Sister flew off of the ship and the ship blasted off into hyperspace.
Cal looked around nervously, prepared to defend against any attack against him. The two that weren't Cal breathed in relief.
The captain looked at Cal, "Ok, s-shut that thing off and grab some seat."
"I'd rather not until I know who you two are!" The woman walked to the map, "Who are you?"
"My name is Cere Junda. And this is my Captain, Greez Dridus."
"How you doing?" The captain asked, and was ignored by Cal, who looked around, "Yeah, the Mantis is my ship, but you better pay attention to this lady here."
"So… Who are you?" Cere asked.
"Cal. Kestis. Why did you pick me up?" Cal turned off his blade.
"You know that was an imperial inquisitor, right? Now that she knows who you are, she won't stop hunting you," She avoided the question.
"I'm well aware what the inquisitors are and what they do. Now why did you help me?"
She looked at Greez, "We track imperial communications. We heard the inquisitors were heading to Bracca. So we made our move."
"Oh yeah?" Cal raised an eyebrow, "And what's the bounty on "jedi" these days anyway?"
"That's gratitude for you!" Greez commented, pointing at Cal.
"Move the finger or lose it," Greez's hand was down quickly.
"Look, I get it," Cere started, "You've been surviving on your own for so long, that it's impossible to trust anyone. And it's what kept you alive."
"I did trust someone, and they died because of me."
"But! This is about something bigger... Then just surviving."
"Like what? Beating the empire?"
"Like rebuilding the jedi order."
"... You two? That's a laugh," Cal almost laughed.
"Oh, we're not good enough for you?" Greez asked, snarkily.
"I could care less. I'm no jedi. What about the jedi council?"
Cere looked conflicted, "They're gone."
Cal actually laughed at that, the other two were surprised at the reaction, "So I'm all you got."
"Captain. Set a course for Bogano."
"... A-aye aye," Greez quickly walked to the cockpit.
"In the meantime…" Cere looked at Cal, "Try and relax," She held her arm out, "You're safe here… For now."
Cal glared at her, before walking to the back of the ship.
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
"You gotta live your life. Find your destiny! Cal look out!"
oOoOoOoOoOoOoOo
This is a little side story I'm doing while I work on Harry Potter, The Sorcerer Supreme and Life of a Video Game Saiyan. I'll make more chapters of this if you guys like it, or I'll make it if I have no ideas on what to do for my other stories. Make any criticisms as you like, or any suggestions, I might use them, or edit the story as needed.
P.S. Life of a Video Game Saiyan is currently having a poll.
Hope you enjoyed, the next chapter of Harry Potter, The Sorcerer Supreme is almost finished and will be out, hopefully before the quarantine ends.
True Yami Mew, out!
