Chapter 15: Loyalty

"What did you think of it?" Oskal asked, amused. Wondering, what clever answer his son would come up with. He was absolutely certain that his son would avoid mentioning anything about how Celtic proved them wrong.

Reki closed his eyes as he thought about what to say. "It seems the beast clearly runs on pure instinct of hunting and feast. Along with that, she becomes a lot faster and her energy seems to increase the longer she is in that form. My guess is if we left her in the other room for a bit longer after she transforms she would have done much better in this fight. Probably from being sealed up is the reason for the slacking energy. It seems to increase regaining its full potential in spurts instead of all at once." He knew better than to say anything about Celtic. He didn't want to drag him into any more suffering if he didn't have to.

Oskal leaned back placing his hands behind his head as he watched the guards through the windows drag the two lab experiments away. "What about Orme? What do you think about his performance?" He glanced at Reki as he was deliberately trying to spark a nerve with him.

Reki looked out the window as the guards started to clean up the mess. "I believe the shackles used weren't quite up to the par as the man claimed. But I'm sure if the demon was drugged a little more he wouldn't have been able to break the shackles. It also seems over the years he has learned to fight. He does seem to have a technique. No doubt, he learned such in his years as an Elite." He didn't look at his father as he spoke. He had to keep his act up as he responded like a cold hearted scientist. Acting as if, all that mattered was the data that was retrieved.

"According to the shackle restraints power levels, someone turned them down. So I would assume that allowed him to escape; that gave him the advantage." he addressed as he gave a stern look at Reki. He didn't like this defile disobedience his son was instigating. And he was going to teach him that he must pay for such things.

Reki pulled out a cigarette. "I know what you're insinuating but I have no clue how such happened. I wasn't allowed near Orme, remember your words, your command so this wasn't anything I could have done." he noted as he pulled out his lighter lighting it up. He closed his eyes taking a puff of it.

"So if I check the security cameras in the room with the shackles I won't see you on it?" Oskal questioned Reki as he rose up to his feet. He snatched the cigarette out of his son's mouth. "You think you can play this little game, Reki?" he spouted as he held the burning cig in his son's face. "You're not a little boy anymore, so you don't have the shelter of age any longer. But go on, test me if you wish. I promise you I will make you do things that will make you feel so guilty and so low you will beg for the end of your life." He dropped the cigarette to the ground stepping on it.

Reki looked up at the two way mirror avoiding contact. He crossed his arms knowing it didn't matter what he said, for he was already in trouble. "You will be locked in your quarters till further notice. I will be asking some guards to escort you there.." He walked out of the room.

Reki got up to his feet. He walked up to the door waiting. He knew that he wasn't the one who messed with the shackles yet he was being blamed for it. He knew that whoever did it, didn't do it out of pity for Orme. His educated guess looked to the only person he could think of which was that damn bitch Eikra to set him up.

Reki opened the door looking out of it. Eikra was talking to a couple of scientists as for his father there was no sign. Reki walked out of the room up to Eikra. He was already in trouble so he decided that it didn't matter what he did right now and he was going to take out his anger on her.

Eikra snarled at him. "You should be waiting in there for the guards." she snapped at him coldly. She let out a small yelp as Reki shoved her into the wall. The other scientist quickly scattered, they weren't into physical used their minds not their bodies and evidently they weren't into chivalry..

"You damn bitch you framed me." Reki roared as he glared at her, throwing a punch into her face. She let out a scream of pain as she held her face. Reki then punched her hard in the gut watching her fall down to her knees crying out in pain. He went to kick her but a couple of guards grabbed him pulling him back from her. Reki pulled himself free and ran at her. He let out a small warcry as he was hit with a tranquilizer dart. He fell hitting the ground next to her.

Eikra looked at him as tears ran down her face. "You sick bastard!" she screamed at the unconscious scientist. She looked at her hand, there was blood on it. She held her hand up to her nose. It seemed he had broken her nose. She watched the guards as they dragged him out of the room.

Celtic opened his eyes, he was groggy and disoriented. He tugged on his shackles that were once again hooked into the ground. He let out a frustrated sigh. His ears perked as he heard someone approaching. He looked over to his right seeing Brat lying on the ground. She was in an oversized shirt and shorts. She had on a metal collar around her neck and metal bracelets around her wrist and ankles. Celtic's eyes widened as he looked at her leg; his seals were gone!

Celtic attention went to his left where he noticed someone else there. It was Reki. Reki held his head as he let out a groan. He heard the rattle of a chain. He looked at his wrist and it had a shackle on it. His eyes followed the chain to the wall. His heart started to race, he looked around the room to see where he was. He saw Orme shackled to the ground. Orme and his eyes met.

"It's good to see you two are awake…" Oskal's voice spoke over an intercom. "I'm sure you are wondering why your seals didn't work, Orme. Well, you can thank your 'friend' Reki for that. When he drugged you earlier it weakens your powers a lot more than you realized. It was a failsafe to make sure you can't seal anything we need access to. That's why he made that noteworthy drug to keep you in check as only he can."

Celtic looked over to Reki, his eyes seemed guilty of all the man was saying. Celtic shook his head believing himself a fool as he turned his head away. He glanced up as the voice started to speak again. He was sure he recognized it, but couldn't put his finger on who it was.

"Oh and by the way, I'm sure Reki didn't bother to tell you that his little job was to pretend to be your friend. I believe he did a good job making you believe that. I was so proud of him as it made all this much easier. Only reason Reki is in there with you is because he decided to take a smoke, which he knows he isn't allowed to. It seems those cigs are a little more addicting then realized but I'm sure this will help him quick the habit." he chuckled.

Reki looked away from Celtic, ashamed. He hated his father even more; he was turning this friend he had against him. He closed his eyes as he didn't know what to say to Celtic. "Orme…I" he started as he looked at Celtic who refused to look at him. He couldn't finish what he was wishing to say as he knew his father would just twist his words all around. Reki's heart cried out as he knew that he couldn't fix what's been done.

Brat opened her eyes, she felt weak as her body was strained from transforming. Everything was a blur. She only had bits and pieces of what happened in her head from when she transformed. She heard a small click and the neck brace around her neck hit the ground, she didn't have the strength or focus to see what happened. Brat let out a scream holding her head as she started to transform.

Reki and Celtics attention went to her. Reki panicked as he got up to his feet and pulled at the chain attached to him that was hooked to the wall. He had to get over there to stop this, to get that necklace back on her. "She's transforming!" he yelled as he looked to Celtic.

Celtic's ears dropped and he started to pull on the shackles that held him. He let out a small whimper as the pins dug into his arms. He still was a bit groggy from getting shot up from the first time he fought with Brat, he assumed that they probably added more drugs into his system as well, to keep him from breaking out.

Oskal leaned back as he watched the two struggle against their restraints.. He glanced back at Eikra who walked into the room. "You asked for me, Sir?" she inquired as she walked up next to him. She looked out of the two way mirror at the group struggling within the room.

"If you dare mess with my experiments by tinkering with any of the devices you will be the next meal for that girl." Oskal reprimanded as he shot a glare at her. "I don't care if you have a grudge against my son but take it out on him not my experiments. Got it?!" he snapped.

Eikra nodded as she looked at him. "Y-yes sir." She looked at the ground. She was thankful that this was the only punishment that she received; being yelled at. "How is your nose?" Oskal asked her as he watched Brat's transformation finish.

"It's fine sir." Eikra spoke up looking at him. She looked over at the beast as it ripped off the uncomfortable garments on it. "What is your experiment here, sir?" She questioned wondering why he had his own son with a beast that would surely kill him.

"Testing my son's theory. He said if Orme was drugged that he wouldn't be able to get out of those shackles, which seems to be true for the most part. But he didn't add in the factor of mortal emotions though. Like Reki is going to fight with all of his might against that beast, because he has the fear of death. Orme has none since he can't die, he doesn't fear it, so instead we put strain on another mortal emotion. If Orme still cares about Reki he will stress along with other emotions trying to get free to save Reki. If he doesn't care for Reki, well, then we shall witness how she feeds on the weak." Oskal smirked as he kept his eyes on Brat.

The beast eyes studied its prey, deciding which one it wanted. She moved her attention to Reki who was standing trying to mess with the shackle on his wrist. She glanced at Celtic who seemed to be pinned down, it wasn't amusing prey. She darted at Reki.

"Reki!" Celtic screamed out as Brat jumped at him. Reki looked at Brat and he grabbed the chain and held it up in front of her. It stopped her as the chains were rammed into her jaws. He was knocked back from the force of Brat's jump. He held the chain up keeping her at bay as she snarled at him. His eyes widened as she clamped down on the chain actually busting through it. He let out a scream as she dug her claws into his shoulders as she tried to bite at his neck.

Celtic shook his head in such horror he couldn't let Reki die. Even if it was true what that man said, at least Reki treated him like a human! Celtic pulled with all of his strength he could gather trying to yank himself out of his restraints. He couldn't stand to watch his friend die in front of him. He wouldn't suffer the pain of loss again, never again his heart screamed. He ripped the shackle out of the ground and darted at Brat. He swung hard, knocking her off of Reki.

"Reki." Celtic simpered as he looked at the wounds that the beast had inflicted. His shoulders were torn and bleeding badly. Reki had his eyes closed from the pain and his fear. "Please by the fates hold on."stammered Celtic. He slammed the shackles down on the ground trying to bust them open.

Oskal smirked as he pushed a button on the control panel. It released a sleeping gas into the room. He pushed another button. "I want the control guards to go in first and then the medical team to make sure Reki doesn't die…his mother would never forgive me." He spoke over an intercom to the group that was standing outside of the room where Celtic and the group was.

Celtic slammed his hands down on the ground again. He could feel the gas taking effect. He looked up at Brat who was getting back up to her feet growling. He glanced over at Reki who already was asleep from the gas, Celtic got to his feet looking at the beast. He took a step forward but hit the ground passing out. A large clang echoed in the room when the shackles hit the ground.

The door opened and the guards came into the room. They pointed their guns at Brat who darted at the guards. She tackled one of the guards ripping through his armor trying to get to the meat inside. The guards fired at her with tranquilizers but none of them could or would get close enough to help the guard that was screaming for his life.

Oskal smirked. "It seems she likes moving prey over stilled prey. She likes the fight. As for Orme, he's a lot stronger than any of us truly imagined." He grinned as a plan started to formulate in his mind. He glanced at Eikra who was watching the guards carrying the beast off as it had finally passed out from the gas and tranquilizers. "She's an amazing creature… If we can get the Truresa Project finished image what we could do with her and Orme!" She looked at Oskal smiling as she nodded.

Oskal nodded back as he stood up. "I believe then I need to add some motivation to our leading scientist in that area." He looked at Eikra. "I want the creature shackled and constantly drugged so much so that she won't be able to walk. Keep an eye on the vitals as well. Then get a group to do some scans to see the makeup of her system and energies that she uses. We need to tap into those energies if we can."

"Yes sir!" Eikra nodded as she rushed out of the room. It seemed these two new lab rats were going to bring this space station to life with new experiments and hopefully new achievements and triumphs..

A few hours had passed when Reki opened his eyes staring at the ceiling. He sat up carefully looking around trying to figure out where he was. He was in his bedroom, alive. He looked down at his shoulders that were wrapped. He let out a small sigh as he laid back on his bed.

"Your room is a mess…" Oskal bitched as he kicked some clothes and books out of the way as he walked into the room. "You think it would be clean as little time you spend in here." He looked at Reki.

Reki opened one of his eyes looking at his father. "If you knew me better you would know I do spend most of my time in here…" Reki moved his pillow and then set it down as he scooted up against the wall and leaned against it. He looked at his father who held up a pack of cigarettes.

"All of your hidden packs are gone out of this room, all the labs along with the restrooms you hide them in. I had a group go searchinging through your stuff for these." Oskal said as he watched Reki's reaction. He didn't seem too happy. "I'm going to play a little game with you Reki, since you seem to like those death sticks so much. Every time you give me an update on the Truresa Project you get 2 cigarettes to go share with your little friend, one for him and one for you. Since I know how bad your cravings are for these things I'm sure you will be progressing a lot faster than you have been."

Reki glared at him. "So what are you trying to condition me like some animal?" He spoke up not approving of his father's idea. He couldn't believe that they would steal all of his cigarettes and then offer him this deal with them. He knew the reason why though was the Truresa Project for it would give them what they needed.

Oskal chortled. "All that matters is that the project is getting done and this is the motivation you need to get it done. Also I'm killing two birds with one stone, you're getting Truresa Project done and then you're keeping Orme happy, so he won't go downhill. It seems all I said about you mattered not, that devil still cares for you."

Reki got off of the bed walking up to his desk that was covered in papers and books. He grabbed a data drive and walked up to Oskal. He held it up. "It has 20 documents all about 50 pages each that I haven't given to any of the other scientists. None of this has been booked either. I believe that adds up to that pack of cigarettes and 3 hours with Orme…."

Oskal took the data drive. "You have an hour and a half with your labrat, but the pack is yours." He held the pack to Reki. "Also you will be watched whenever you are with Orme. Lab 31 in the observation room, that's where he is." He watched Reki take the pack heading out of the room.

"Also Reki, if you assault anyone else on this station I promise you I will feed you to that beast and make Orme watch you get slaughtered and eaten." he threatened as he watched Reki walk out of the room. He knew that he was going to be getting a lot of work out of his son now. He knew how people got addicted to cigarettes, they can't live without them.

The pain still ran through his body, but he was ignoring it. Reki was trying to keep his mind focused, it was clear what his father wanted, but he couldn't be a pawn in it. He had to explain himself to Celtic as well about what his father had said.

Reki walked into the lab looking at who would be watching him. He glared at Eikra who was sitting there at the computer. She smirked at him; she knew that she was safe from his wrath, so she could say or do anything that she wanted as she witnessed how his father really felt about him. 'Damn, he thought, 'that f..ing bitch is going to be watching me.'

Reki then noticed another man who was sitting in a chair next to the window of the observation room. He had a light screen keyboard on his lap. Reki let out a defeated sigh, it seemed they were going to do a psyche analysis of him and Celtic. They hoping to find the strengths and weaknesses in their relations, hoping as well to figure out how to manipulate the two of them. He knew that it was too good to be true his father offering him time with Orme. It was all just part of the plan.

Reki walked past Eikra and grabbed a medical gun that was on a table. He snatched up a couple of vials heading into the observation room. Reki opened up the door, shutting it as he walked in. His eyes trailed to where Celtic was. He let out a small sigh walking up to him.

Celtic was out cold on the ground. He had a shackle around his neck that pinned him up against the wall. His arms as well were shackled up against the wall. His arms were wrapped up in bandages. It was clear that his attempt to get out of the shackles last time had done its toll on him. It was also clear that they were still trying new methods of holding him.

Reki walked up bending down. He set the medical gun and vials on the ground. He started to mess with the shackle. "Reki, do not release him from those shackles unless you would rather lose your time with him." Eikra's voice came over the intercom.

Reki opened up the shackle ignoring her threats. "Go fuck off, Eikra." he barked pissed as hell as he next opened up the one that held Celtic's neck to the wall. After he released Celtic, he grabbed the medical gun loading it with a vial. He shot Celtic in the side.

Celtic let out a small bleat as he opened his eyes. He looked around trying to figure out where he was. His eyes stopped as he looked at Reki. He wasn't sure what to say to him, though he was happy to see that he was ok. He looked down to see that his hands and wrist were bandaged up. It hurt like hell like someone had salted his wounds, and yet it didn't seem to bother him all that much. He looked back at Reki who was loading up the medical gun.

Reki shot the gun in his shoulder to calm the pain. "I'm sorry I didn't tell you. It's because I wanted you as a friend, not to fake it." Reki explained to Celtic. "I hoped we were friends… and still are." Reki pulled out the pack of cigarettes holding one to Celtic. He smiled a little as Celtic took it.

Celtic winced from the pain of his hand. He put the cigarette in his mouth as he pulled out the 'unlucky' lighter lighting up. Celtic closed his eyes taking in a deep pull off the cig. "I'm surprised you're in here… I thought they wouldn't let you see me again.. let alone let you let me out of my shackles again." he summarized.

Reki leaned back against the wall lighting up his cig. "My father is conditioning me like a dog…. If I do something good I get to come in here and smoke with you..." Reki closed his eyes trying to calm his mind as he took a few puffs of his cigarette. "I don't know if I should come back in here though. Every time I want to, I have to turn in progress to the Truresa Project, which it's something that shouldn't be finished." He coughed a couple times.

Celtic looked at his cigarette. "What is the project?" he asked. He knew whatever it was, it was something that would be used against people, something that the government would just abuse just like everything else they do.

"Truresa Project is a project to be able to control someone fully. The mind, emotions, and morals; all that makes up a person. It's so you can change a person's being to what you want it to be. There would be no magic, nothing that could break it like human emotions, morals or opinions. It would be a way for them to control you and Brat completely and totally." Reki looked at Celtic. "I'm sure that's why they are giving me this deal. They saw the power you are and what she can do. They want full control over that." He looked at the ground.

Celtic dropped his cigarette to the ground. He hugged his knees looking to the wall. He felt a bit sick; he knew it was from all the drugs that had been pumped into his body. He closed his eyes and moved his head to his arms. He also knew by the sound of things that this possibly could be the last time he saw Reki, the one friend he ever made on this god forsaken station.

Reki looked at Celtic; he didn't know what to say to comfort him. He knew that Celtic was trapped here for all eternity, even if the Truresa Project didn't get finished now, it eventually would and they would use it on him. He wouldn't be himself anymore, just a mindless slave. "Celtic, are you going to be ok?"

Celtic nodded a little. He moved up his hand looking at Reki smiling a little. It was the first time he had called him by his name.

Reki studied Celtic and moved his hand to Celtic's forehead. "You're running a fever.." he let out a sigh. "You need to need to get some sleep." Celtic shook his head. "It's not going to kill me… I rather spend this time with you before you have to leave."

The two turned their attention to the door where two guards now stood. It was obvious that Eikra called in guards. Reki looked at Celtic and smirked. "So, you get that, right?" He stood up as he made his choice of getting into trouble, even with his father's threat of killing him. At least he had fun in the end and they wouldn't have their lead scientist on their 'great' project.

Celtic chuckled as he got to his feet. Even with him not feeling too well he still could take a guard or two. He nodded at Reki as the two darted at the guards. Reki kicked the guard in the crotch as a cheap shot as for Celtic, he punched the guard hard in the gut watching him pass out. He looked at Reki.

Reki sighed as he pulled out his cigarette. "You really need to teach me out to knock someone out cold with one punch." he chuckled as he walked out of the observation room. He looked at Eikra who was talking on a phone, clearly calling for more security. He glanced at the Psychologist who was just typing away seeming not to mind what the two were doing.

Celtic collapsed to the ground out cold. Reki looked over at him. "Celtic?!" He turned around and moved up to him bending down. He felt Celtic's head, he was burning up. He knew that he couldn't use any drugs to get that fever down. He looked up at Eikra. "Get a cold pack!" he shouted at her.

Eikra bit her lip, really not wanting to listen to him, but she knew that the lab rat's condition was more important than her grudge with Reki. She ran over to a cabinet and pulled out a cold pack. She tossed it to Reki. He messed with the bag to activate the cold. He set it on Celtic's forehead. He checked his pulse, he might not be able to die but still his condition could go downhill leaving him in a bad condition.

Reki looked up as some guards walked into the room. He looked away knowing that he had just handed over a bunch of value information to his father for nothing. He just got to watch his friend pass out from being ill. He stood up slowly holding up his hands as the guards walked up to him pointing their guns.

Reki watched Eikra as she ran up checking on Celtic. He was escorted by the guards out of the room. He knew now he had to do something to help Celtic. Even if he had to strike a deal with his father, though he already knew he was going to be punished for not listening to Eikra and kicking a guard.

Typing from a computer could be heard near Celtic. He opened his eyes looking up at the ceiling. He held his head, he still felt like utter shit. He glanced over to where he heard the typing.

It was Reki who was sitting at his desk typing up things on his computer. He had an unlit cigarette hanging out of his mouth as he was trying to concentrate on his work. Reki glanced back at Celtic to check on him. Reki had a black eye and a few cuts on his face and arms. He glanced at the small monitor next to Celtic. "Still looks like you have a fever." He spoke as he took the cigarette out of his mouth.

Celtic sat up slowly looking around the room that he was in. It was Reki's mess of a room. He looked back at Reki, worried about what kind of deal he struck to be able to do something like this. He studied the cuts and bruises that covered Reki's arms. "So what did they do to you?"

Reki glanced at his arms. He'd rather avoid telling exactly what happened. "The upper who works here wasn't too happy that I disobeyed him. So this was just the punishment, nothing too serious." he lied as he smiled weakly to his friend. He rather not have Celtic know that his father was a bastard.

Celtic laid back, closing his eyes. "So what deal did you make with these bastards to let me stay in your room? I doubt it was you saying you would quit smoking." He moved his arm over his head. He still wasn't feeling up to par.

"Told them I would work on the project… Didn't say how fast I would work on it.. So.. I can take as long as I need." Reki smirked knowing that they would soon figure out his plan of drawing everything out. He closed his laptop as he stood up. He bent down and pulled up a floor panel sticking the laptop in it. He closed up the panel and walked up to Celtic. "You probably are going to feel like that for a while, the drugs don't mix too well with each other. They had some idiots monitoring your drug doses."

"I don't understand why you let him take that lab rat into his room!" Eikra spoke out to Oskal who was sitting at his desk. His attention was on his laptop he seemed to just be watching. She was outraged by his choices, even though she knew not to talk back to the upper. She just couldn't stand it. "That boy causes trouble! Even if he is your son he is holding experiments back!"

Oskal glanced at her. "Emotions make people say and do stupid stuff.." He watched her look away. "As for Reki, it seems emotions made him just as stupid and also careless." He snickered as he turned his laptop to her. On it was a video feed from Reki's room. "He didn't check for video cameras or mics in his room like he normally does. So we have all the information we need in that laptop of his he always hides, making what he held over our heads obsolete." Oskal stated as he pulled out a medical gun setting on the table. "Now I can get Orme to do whatever I want him to." He smirked.

Eikra looked at the medical gun studying the vial. "You're going to put a killer virus in your son?" she questioned him. "What would your wife think?!..?" She stared at him in intrigue.

Oskal closed his eyes. "She's very happy and content with our newly adopted daughter. I doubt she would miss Reki all that much. He doesn't ever come to visit mainly because I have it where he can't leave this station in the first place. So all he really does is break her heart." He went to his feet. "And as far as Reki I'm sure he won't mind as it's for science. And he is a good scientist if nothing else." He smirked looking at Eikra as he snatched the gun off of the table.

Reki chuckled, "It seems you're still clueless as ever with most things. You should really go out drinking all night.. you would learn probably everything you need to know there. And on that thought, can you even get drunk?" he questioned Celtic.

"Not sure, never really drank any alcohol, before." Celtic answered.."I thought it best not to mess with trouble, many you know it's call the devil's drink." He let out a small sigh. "So I take it there's nothing you can give me for this freaking headache?"

Reki shook his head. "Sorry, if I did there's the possibility that it could mix worse with the rest of the shit they gave you. Still you had your hand nearly cut off and you're bitching about a headache." Reki shook his head not understanding Celtic. His attention went to the door as Oskal walked in. He got to his feet a bit shocked that his father would come in.

Oskal studied the two. He smirked as Celtic sat up looking at him. The devil still looked pale and sick. "It's been a long time Celtic. I haven't seen you in years, since you were a little child." He spoke as he walked up to the bed. He glanced at Reki. "It's good you two are still friends even as much time has passed."

Reki didn't like where this conversation was going. His father was trying to act somewhat like a human being, which meant he had some main goal to this visit. Reki watched him closely, not sure what his true intention was.

Celtic studied Oskal, he clearly had aged. All he remembered of Oskal was him yelling at the two of them when they got in trouble. Other than that he didn't see much of Oskal as a kid. He did know that Reki didn't care too much for his father. He could tell by Reki's facial expression that he wasn't too happy with this unexpected visit. "So what's the reason for this glorious visit." Celtic groaned as he held his head. He still wasn't feeling well and would rather go back to laying down.

Oskal walked up behind Reki who was watching him. "I came in here to check up on your research." he conveyed as he glanced at Reki. "Need to make sure you're holding up your side of the deal. If not I can get in trouble myself. I called in a lot of favors for you to do this."

Reki looked at Celtic, he knew it wasn't true. He was one of the Head Honchos, he ran the show. No way he'd get in trouble. He hoped Celtic wasn't buying into this for he was just giving a show so this didn't look off. "I've been working on some functions.." Reki offered as he nodded to his desk. "The papers up there are the equations…"

Oskal stood behind Reki. "Now I know that's not all of it." Oskal protested as he pulled out the medical gun and shot his son in the back with it. Reki let out a cry and he stumbled away from his father holding his back where he was shot. "What did you do!" Reki shouted at his father. He held his chest as it started to get painfully hard to breath.

"Reki!" Celtic climbed off of the bed as Reki collapsed to the ground. He looked at Reki who was pale and his eyes were bloodshot. "What did you do!" Celtic snapped at Oskal.

"Listen closely Celtic Orme… That stupid bastard has about 5 minutes to live." Oskal smirked. "I put the Iunio virus into him… a very deadly virus that will kill him and kill him quickly it will, unless you do everything that my scientists and I say… Every time you do something wrong or mess up, he won't get one of the doses of medicine that he needs. If he misses three of them, it won't matter how sorry you are for messing up for he'll be dead… Do you understand?" Celtic nodded his head. " Are you going to be a good dog and listen?"

Celtic glared at Oskal. "Just give him the medicine" he snapped heartbroken at Oskal. He couldn't stand watching his friend die in front of him. Celtic watched as Oskal bent down and shot Reki in the side with a medical gun. Celtic grabbed Oskal's arm. "If you let him die I promise you I will kill you and make sure it's long and painful."

Oskal snarled at him. "Let go of me or I promise you will get to watch him die a painful death himself and it will all be your fault." he sniped at Celtic. Once Celtic let go of him he stood up looking down at the two. "Pick him up…." Oskal ordered as he walked over to Reki's desk. He bent down to the secret panel pulling it up taking out the laptop. He got up to his feet. "Shall we get going?" he bid as they together walked out of the room. Oskal glanced at Celtic. "Don't worry he'll live as long as you do what you're ordered to do."

Celtic wobbled a little as he followed behind. He still was sick. He felt even sicker realizing he was falling right into another position of pawn. Celtic walked into the medical bay, it was empty besides a couple of doctors, one of which was sleeping. Celtic walked up and laid Reki on the bed. He then sat down on the ground holding his head. It felt like he might pass out again.

Oskal walked over to one of the doctors that was sleeping. He shoved him off of the chair. "If you want to sleep on my time, tell me next time and I'll make sure to have you tossed into one of the experiments!" he bellowed.

The doctor got up to his feet. "I-I'm sorry sir I" "You are dismissed. Now get out of my sight." He looked at the doctor. The doctor nodded and ran out of the room. He turned his attention to another doctor in the room. "Dr. Brendan, I want you to keep monitoring Reki's status… I only want you to be giving him the Meniu Doses… and only when I call for them…" His attention went to the other doctor in the room.

A man with white hair stood up seeing that Oskal had his eye on him. He had on a pair of black framed glasses and had blue markings on his face. He looked over to Reki and then to Celtic. "What about the other man?" the white haired doctor questioned Oskal as he walked up to him.

Oskal pulled out some papers. "That's a list of the drugs that have been put into his system. Find something that can clear them out quickly and get him better. I need him, useful to me..." He looked back at the two he just escorted in there.

Brendan walked up and took some of the papers and looked them over.. "With the amount of drugs he's been given and in the time period.. I'm surprised he's alive let alone still conscious. It's not like we can perform miracles." he stated as he glanced at Oskal. He then walked over to a cabinet as he pulled out a couple of vials.

"I guess the medical doctors here don't get informed of all that's going on… He's the immortal. Surely, you heard of our great fortunes as of late. So he won't be dying, Dr…. I just need him to be useful and not passing out on me." Oskal relayed as he walked up and sat in a chair watching the doctor load up a medical gun.

Brendan walked up to Celtic who wasn't looking too good. He shot him in the side with the medical gun. He moved his hand to Celtic's forehead. "I don't think he's going to be of much use to you for a few hours or so, at least. He should be resting, even if he can't die. That is how one's systems recover."

Celtic glanced at the doctor. He closed his eyes, he wasn't sure how long he could force himself to stay awake. He didn't want to leave Reki alone but he knew at one call that he would have to be a loyal dog following his master's orders.

Oskal stood up and walked towards the door. "Keep him here… Once he's useful call… If he doesn't listen to what you say, report to me.." He looked over at Celtic. "You listen to Dr. Brendan. You obey his orders. You got it… If you don't, well don't expect Reki to get any better…" He smirked at Celtic walking out of the room. Celtic let out a small sigh knowing that he was trapped once again.

"Get up on a bed and lay down…." The doctor directed as he walked over to the vials on a shelf. He glanced at Celtic as he climbed up onto a bed. He laid down on his stomach closing his eyes. He wasn't sure if he could sleep. He looked at the doctor as he walked up with a medical gun and shot him in the side once again.

Celtic let out a grunt and he closed his eyes. "That was for the fever…" he stated as he felt Celtic's head. "If this fever gets any worse.. I might have to hook you up to a couple of machines… so I would rest.." he informed Celtic knowing in the end it didn't matter too much.

Celtic nodded. "Is Reki gonna live…. Or am I just getting dragged by a rope.." he asked as he glanced at Brendan not truly expecting an answer. He was just truly thinking out loud trying to decide if he was being played. "He's getting the minimum treatment, it will keep him alive, but won't ever get him better. They can keep him in that state for a few years without it killing him. There is a cure for it as well, which I doubt they are going to give him since it looks like this is the way they are going to keep you in compliance. What? Is he your illicit lover or something?"

"He's a friend. A good person." the devil specified. Celtic let out a small sigh knowing now he was indeed trapped who knew a friendship could cost him so much. "If he keeps getting the medicine will he wake up or is he going to be unconscious the whole time?" he asked as he looked at the ground praying that he would wake up.

Dr Brendon glanced at the devil. He walked over to Reki and started to hook up a couple of machines. "By about the fifth dose he should be awake, in a lot of pain, no doubt struggling to breath but you would be able to talk with him. But if he misses any doses, I doubt he will."

Celtic closed his eyes. He didn't know what to do. Reki's life was in his hands and as for Brat only the gods knew what they were doing to her. He moved his arm over his eyes. He knew he should just try to get some rest as he could truly do nothing feeling the way he was.
