When Wesley got to the Enterprise he saw Picard, Geordi, Data, Worf and the new commander there. Picard was smiling.

"Mr. Crusher." Picard said and gave him a hand shake.

"Captain." he said then looked at the others. "Hey guys."

"Hey Wes." Geordi said and gave him a pat on the back.

"Hello Wesley." Data said.

"Hi Data."

"Alright Lieutenant, you can go unpack and then come back up here and get next to Data. Then later your real shift." Picard said smiling.

He was going to be keeping an eye on him.

"Yes sir."

Then he headed to his old quarters and saw his badge and uniform on his bed.

So he got unpacked and then got changed into his other uniform. He fixed up his badge and looked at himself.

"I really hope this works." he said and headed to the bridge.

When he got there he sat down on his seat and waited. Everyone looked at him and he tried to ignore it for now.

"Where to Captain?" he asked.

"Warp 76." he said and Wesley got it all set. "Engage."

So he hit the button and they were off.

A few hours later Wesley was on break and Picard had a meeting with everyone but him.

"So, we have Lieutenant Crusher back and has had something going on for the past nine years, since the Academy accident. Captain Riker said he was keeping an eye on him. I want you all to look after him to. You all know he tries and usually succeeds to hide everything, exhaustion, stress, sick everything." Picard said and almost everyone nodded. "Councilor, Number One, I'll let you know what you need to know about Wesley. Deanna also said she had seen cuts, scars and blood on him in places."

Everyone gasped at that.

"You need to look after him. Geordi, keep him busy on his shift and we'll look after him when he's on the bridge."

"What about when he's in his quarters?" Geordi asked.

"We'll see what happens. Dismissed."

So everyone headed back to where they have to be.

Wesley was in his quarters in bed thinking about what Josh said.

"Wesley?"

He looked at what he saw and saw Josh and Jack.

"Josh? Dad?"

"Wes, I know you lost me and I don't blame you at all. That was Nick's idea. But you need to move on and find someone else." Josh said. "I'll always be with you."

Wesley looked at him.

"I know you will, but I don't think anyone can take your place. I looked at people and only liked them as friends. I'll never replace you."

Then Josh walked over to him and gave him a hug and kiss.

"Yes you will."

Then he looked at Jack.

"Dad?"

"Wes. I can see you've learned many things and decided to go back." Jack said.

"Yes."

"I'm proud of you for learning so much and want you to know that Josh is right. You have other people. Look at your mother, she got over my death. So try and find someone else. If you need to go back to the Enterprise then Jean-Luc will gladly take you back in."

Wesley nodded his eyes watering a little.

"You can do this whenever you want or need to and know that I'll always be there and love you." Josh said.

Wesley nodded, gave him one more hug and kiss then was gone.

When he was back tears were running down his eyes.

"I wish I could fix this but I don't want to make anymore accidents." he said.

Then he put his face on his pillow and started crying again but hard this time.

He cried of guilt, sadness, and everything else. An hour later he was asleep from crying so hard.

A few hours later he woke up and saw he had slept through his afternoon shift at the bridge and had five minutes before his night shift at the engineering.

"Crap." he said and got up, saw his eyes were still red and had dried up tears.

So he cleaned up his face and then took a few deep breaths to calm down. Then he headed to the engineering still tired.
