CHAPTER F: A shining beacon of HOPE

"Wait. Why is the city so foggy? And what is it with this purple smoke?" Allie said.

"I have no idea." Norman responded.

HERO ran towards the direction of what looked like a large series of tubes.

"Ok, nice thinking...umm, what should I call you?" asked Norman.

"…" HERO responded.

"TYPOMAN" The HERO said.

"OH MY GOD, YOU JUST, GUYS YOU HEARD THAT RIGHT?" Norman screamed in shock that TYPOMAN had just talked.

"Well, whatever, where is Mrs. Manchester?" Allie asked Norman.

"Err, woman run toward tubelike place, not come back?" TYPOMAN asked.

"Oh, oh no no no no" Norman said to himself in denial of Mrs. Manchester's… Interesting choice of actions.

The team then ran towards the tubes.

"So, what we do now?" TYPOMAN asked Norman.

"We stay strong and carry on." Norman responded.

Then they finally arrived at the tubes.

"Well, well, well. Look what Hel dragged in." A voice all to familiar said.

"GARMER" Allie said.

"You know what, here is some wisdom before you are brutally murdered by my master. Prometheus was punished by the gods for giving the gift of knowledge to man. YOU, Norman Parks, are the prometheus of this story, giving knowledge to TYPOMAN."

"Shut your mouth." TYPOMAN said to the evil.

Then the ground shook, and FENRIR emerged.

"Good luck." GARMER cackled.

The final battle was at hand.

"TYPO!" Norman screamed as TYPOMAN was flung off the edge of the tubes.

Then Norman jumped, and Allie was paralyzed in terror.

"I've got you TYPO!" Norman screamed.

Then, somehow, they merged together, became one entity.

"I SHALL ACCEPT MY FATE AND BECOME A BEACON OF HOPE FOR EVERYBODY!" THE NEW BEING SCREAMED!.

"OH my god Norman? Did you just." Allie was at a loss of words.

"ALLIE LOOK OUT!" Mrs. Manchester yelled, and Allie swiftly dodged FENRIR's claw.

"Mrs. M you're alive!" Allie cried in relief.

"Wait where is Norman?" Mrs. Manchester asked.

She then looked up.

"Unfortunate is the land in need of a HERO." Chaos and GREED breed men who become heroes, but how can I be a HERO when I am devoid of HOPE? "DOOM is chasing me and war is calling my name. The only thing I have is the power of words. "She taught me to seek truth over lies, justice over injustice, righteousness over the rewards of evildoers." All that I know, all that I am, all that I hope to be, I owe to her" As war GORGED on everyone and everything I love, I try to stay strong and carry on." I refuse to PRAISE their false beliefs. I will do everything within my power to withstand this trial. "For the living and the dead, I will bear witness; even if I risk their GAS filling my own lungs." Their sharp tongues and their lurid HATE will not reach my heart." I will raise my words, not my voice. It is RAIN that grows flowers, not thunder." But sometimes I find myself in a loop. How do I ESCAPE this writer's block?" She led me on in wisdom's path, and set the light before me." They stab their hearts leaving them poisoned; silenced in horror and FEAR." PROPAGANDA driven by LIE and distorted truths; the salvation of the ignorant; They cheer while the books are fed to the flames" Where they start burning books eventually they end up burning men."In a land ruled by ignorance a leap of faith ends with a breach of trust."Warfare is based on deception, I must use their own tools and LIE to protect the values I stand for" It was only a matter of time before I was exposed. My only option now is to run before the flames reach me." Her light has gone out of my life. It is as if it had never shone."This system is fed by all those lost souls and demons; So unfortunate is the land in need of a HERO." For all of its uncertainty, we cannot flee the future. One meets his destiny often on the road to avoid it." A glimmer of HOPE begins in the darkness. Only in darkness can you see the stars." I shall accept my FATE and become a beacon of HOPE." HOPER yelled before flying into the beast;s mouth, and they all screamed.

Then, words all started to form.

HOPE

LOVE

LIFE

LIVE

GOOD

FATE

MUSE

BRAVE

These words all stung FENRIR with their arrows of life and light, and then, HOPER committed the ultimate feat of altruistic suicide.

They ripped themselves apart and formed one last word.

And that word was HEROES.

A bright light engulfed the city, and as the light dimmed, only blossoms of cherry flowers remained, floating down from the sky.

"Norman?" Allie asked.

Then Mrs. Manchester and Allie saw the Norman and HERO fusion lying there, battered, bruised and bleeding light.

"NORMAN, please… don't die. Please. After everything we went through, you can't just give up on us now! PLEASE!"

"Allie, Mrs. Manchester…" HOPER managed to cough up the words and some blood.

Allie and Mrs. Manchester gasped.

"Thank you… for being the bestest friends a guy could ever have… from both my behalf and HERO's."

"NORMAN, HERO PLEASE DON'T GO! NOT NOW! PLEASE! ONLY MORONS DIE!" Allie sobbed, wept and wailed as people started gathering around the glowing remains of the battle.

"Well… I am glad that I died as not just a moron...but a hero, and finally, found my purpose. Allie...never forget...no matter how far apart, even in death… Our friendship is… stronger than reality itself. And Kaitlin…"

Mrs. Manchester sobbed as Norman called her by her first name.

"Thank you for everything, and for helping me realize the power of words, and the power of a team."

"Onward and upward…. Friends." Norman coughed, and his pulse stopped. He was dead.

"NORMAN!" YOU MORON! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE! WHY!? WHY!? AFTER ALL THAT WE WENT THROUGH, WHY! YOU MORON!" Allie screamed and started overflowing with tears, and cried for about 5 hours, nonstop, having to stop to drink water, and Mrs. Manchester was head down, crying as well.

3 months later.

A car drove up towards a hill with a blooming tree on top, which was Norman and HERO's grave.

"Thank you for everything guys…." Allie whispered, and then the unexpected occured.

"Your welcome" A voice from behind said.

"Norman? Wait, your a ghost…" Allie stuttered.

"Come here!" Norman's ghost said as he floated towards her, and they hugged for 5 hours, before Norman faded, and Allie left, but not before reading the grave.

"In loving memories. HERO and NORMAN."
