A Pokemon's mating ceremony goes as such. Two Pokemon of the opposite gender who are able to breed together will make contact. For most bipedal Pokemon, they will hold hands or whatever they have. Otherwise, they will touch foreheads together. The male will then say the words "I Insert Pokemons name here, solemnly swear, that I will be binded to you for all of time. Should I betray you or break that binding by anything other than my own death, may Arceus curse me for the rest of my natural life." Then the female will say the same thing as the male. A binding light will then surround the two of them as the voice of Arceus will say "So it is said, so it shall be." Should either betray the other, or break the bond, that Pokemon will be cursed with a life of loneliness and regret. However, if one of the Pokemon were to die, the other would be free of this bond and be allowed to find another mate.
