Chapter 34: Beast of Orion

"Up." A voice spoke out to Eznik. Rapidly Eznik eyes flung open and he saw a guard standing there pointing a gun at him. He looked to Brat who was still asleep. He gently nudged her. "Brat, I need to get up." he said calmly as he kept his eyes on the guard. He wanted everything to remain calm. He didn't want to risk either of them getting shot.

Brat opened her eyes. She glanced up to see the guard standing there with a gun pointed at her father. Her ears lowered. She let go of her father as she pushed up against the wall still holding onto the blanket that was laying on her as she looked worried to her father. "Everything's fine, Brat. No worries." imparted Eznik as he went to his feet

He grimaced as the guard immediately grabbed him by the arm and began pulling him out of the room. Eznik glanced back at the door as he was pulled out noticing another guard standing there watching the room. Eznik was dragged along until they reached a chair which he was shoved into. It was the chair he had started in. The guard locked the shackles on him.

He was still trying to wake up. He was disorientated and had no idea of how much time had passed in all of this. His eyes trailed to the door of the room they had just pulled him from. He shook his head in despair as he saw they were just then dragging Deka into it.

"Yah'll need to learn ho-ow to treat a lad'a betta." Deka snapped at the guards who were lugging her along. She looked to Eznik as she was dragged into the cell-like room that he was just pulled from. "Eznik!" she cried out as she tried to break free from the guards.

Eznik shook his head in his aggravation as he kicked at the bottom of his chair. He prayed that he could get the wheels to unlock so he could help Deka. He winced as he felt someone kick the back of his chair. He looked back at a man with brown hair who began to haul him away, chair and all towards the viewing room.

He closed his eyes not wanting to know where he was being taken, fearing what awful thing he and the others were going to have to endure next. Eznik pulled at his shackles, knowing it was pointless just a reflex to his need to escape. He was worried as to just why they were taking Deka to where Brat was. He now was watching Deka being tossed into the room with Brat from the viewing window he was placed in front of. He knew this was bad.

Pushing Deka into the room they slammed the door shut. Deka stumbled on into the room unaware as to why they had taken her there. "D-deka?" Brat gently spoke up from behind her. Deka turned around and saw her sitting there. She ran up and hugged her tight. "By the fates. By the fates." Deka recited as she closed her eyes and held her friend close.

Brat closed her eyes as well and whimpered a little thinking about how they had just dragged her father away. She suddenly gasped as she heard a click. "Deka move! Now!" she shouted as she grabbed onto the necklace around her neck and screamed out in pain as it sent electrical currents into her, shocking her unmercifully. Deka grabbed the necklace, gritting her teeth trying to keep it on.

Eznik watched as the two girls struggled to keep the necklace on Brat. As much as they tried, the eletrictly was too much for the girls. It hit the ground between them. He looked to the scientist who had just sat down in a chair with a couple of the other ones with him. They all thinking this some kind of experiment when it was pure and plain torture, thought a perturbed Eznik. Gritting his teeth, he knew now that the necklace was removed he needed to figure out what to do or just what to say so to get Deka out of there safely.

"Mr. Hitaru, any reason Orion should attack Deka?" The man who seemed to be in charge of this experiment questioned. Eznik looked at him. "No…" he spoke from under his breath. "Good, then he shouldn't attack her according to what Mr. Hitaru just said." He looked at the reports he had from Bella and Wane.

Back in the room with the two girls Deka watched her friend as she transformed. "B-brat." she rattled nervously. She remembered what Eznik had said about this beast. Brat didn't have control of this creature she was transforming into. She backed up as Orion looked at her. "Brat, yah know yah gotta fight it."

Orion growled as she studied Deka. Slowly, she walked up to her. Deka didn't move, hoping not to spook the beast though she was ready to defend herself if needed. Orion then sat down across from her. Her green eyes remained on Deka the whole time. "Brat is that yah?" Deka spoke but there was no response.

Deka bit on her tongue some knowing she might regret what she was about to do. She cautiously moved her hand out towards Orion. Ever so slowly she put her hand on Orion's head. She smiled meekly. "Y-yah not a monster, a-are yah?"

Eznik closed his eyes thankful as he watched Orion accept Deka.. Still he knew it meant that the other scientists were making sure that Orion would attack him later. He didn't like the idea, but at least Deka was safe. "Hitaru, would you know why Orion would try to kill Celtic?"

Eznik shook his head. His attention then went to the door once again as he watched Rin being shoved into the room. His hearts raced. It was quite clear now that the man was testing the grounds as of what would make Orion strike. Rin stumbled a little into the room. "It is because he's a demon?" the scientist spoke up as he looked to the tablet he had in his hands.

"Deka?!" called out Rin. Her attention then went to the large white cat in the room. "Rin, keep calm. Please, we don't want to .. um... agitate her." Deka quietly informed her. She glanced back as the guards tossed in a long glaive into the room as they then closed the door. Deka had a sick feeling this was going to turn bad very quickly.

"It seems not because of demon presence, huh? But what if she is threatened? Or one of Brat's friends is threatened?" the scientist asked as he pushed a button. "Stop! they are children!" Eznik sniped at the scientist.

Rin screamed out holding her head. She had a couple of the small heath monitors on her. Deka went to get to her. "Miss Lenkisa, I believe it is in your best interest not to go over to your friend."

Deka looked up at the speakers angry at what was going on. She hated to see Rin in such pain. She noticed that it looked like the bastards had cut off her wings as well. Deka looked to Orion who was starting to growl some. "P-please don't attack Rin..Nice kitty." she softly begged not wanting to see anyone get hurt.

"Rin, if you would pick up the weapon and kill Deka, please." The voice spoke up over the intercom. Deka winced. "Rin! F-fight it! Yah know yah strong enough girl!" she asserted.. She began backing up as Rin picked up the weapon. "Rin, sweetie!"

Rin darted at Deka swinging her blade at her. Barely dodging the attack, Deka backed up further. She gritted her teeth. " Rin! Yah have to snap out of it!" Deka yelled. She then put up her forearm stopping the blade from ending her. She screamed out from the pain as it sliced into her arm.

Rin shuddered as Orion grabbed onto the other end of the glaive. Rin pulled on it and then kicked Orion in the face. Orion growled as she continued to fight for the blade.

"Rin stop it!" Deka pressured as she grabbed Rin's leg with her tail tripping her. Rin hit the ground on her back. Deka slammed her foot hard on the girl's gut to knock the breath out of her. Orion pulled the blade away.

"Stay down." Deka snipped. She screeched as Rin grabbed hold and dislocated her leg. Deka screamed out as she fell back onto the ground holding her leg. Before Rin could get up Orion jumped onto her, digging her claws deep into the girl. "DON'T!" Deka cried out. " She can't.. yah know ..control herself! It's nawt.. Yah know her fault!"

Rin screamed out from the pain of the attack. She glared at the large beast on her. Her arms were pinned to the ground. "Stop! Please.." she cried out begging for mercy. Growling at the girl Orion began sniffing her. Orion then moved off of Rin. She went over to the door and started to claw into it.

Deka crawled up to Rin. "By the fates Rin." she sighed in relief. She started to shred up her shirt and hold it on Rin's wounds. "Miss Lenkisa, if you would go and put the necklace back on Brat." Deka looked up. "Why don't yah chickin!" she yelled.

"If you want Rin's wounds and yours treated you will do as you are asked, for you see your little fluffy friend really doesn't like the medical staff." the scientist depicted. He glanced over at Eznik who clearly wasn't happy about any of this. "Let me treat them." he bid. The scientist looked at Eznik with a sly grin across his face. He was waiting for the doctor to try to play his cards as he was so notably known for.

Deka looked over to the glaive. She reached out grabbing it. Using it as a crutch she got to her feet. Slowly, she wobbled over to the necklace. Part of her feared it would shock her. Using her tail she picked it up and she then grabbed it with her hand. She looked over to the large white beast who was prying at the door. The question was, would this cat creature allow her to put this collar back on.

"C-can yah come here?" Deka spoke to Orion, who clearly ignored her. Deka closed her eyes trying her best to ignore the pain of her arm and leg. She just had to do this little bit. right? she told herself. She used the wall to help her walk over to Orion. She bent down slowly but jerked to the sound of Orion growling. "Please… I need to do this to help her."

Orion continues to growl as she glanced over at Rin. Begrudgingly, she lowered her head for Deka to put the necklace on. Deka watched the beast turn back into her friend. She grabbed Brat and pulled her close as a couple of tears ran down her face. She looked up at the door as it opened. She watched a couple guards run in followed by medical staff. She closed her eyes holding Brat close.

Deka opened one of her eyes looking at the medical staff who started to treat Rin. "Deka." A soft voice spoke up from in front of her. Eznik smiled sadly at her. He looked at Brat, his heart ached but he had to follow the strict orders that were given to him. "You're going to have to let go of her." he sputtered..

Deka stared at him. "B-b-b-but!" Eznik looked down at Brat. "I know, Deka, but please." He held his arm out to her. Deka slowly moved Brat off of her with her good arm. She then reached up grabbing onto Eznik. He pulled her to her feet. He hoisted her arm over his shoulder helping her out of the room.

"It's good to have my own personal doctor." the scientist jest as he watched Eznik. "I can get my patients treated with the best of care. Isn't that right, Mr. Hitaru?" He smirked. "Which means the faster I can get back to experimenting on them."

Deka glared at the scientist. "Deka don't." Eznik whispered to her. He knew that she could say something that could mess up the whole situation making it worse than it already was. He walked her over to a wall and helped her slip down on the ground. He looked back at the scientist. "The medical tools you said you would allow me?"

"If I remember from my anatomy studies, a dislocated leg you don't need anything for, besides something for the pain but we aren't worried about the pain, are we? She's a tough rat, she can take it. I mean rats get attacked by cats all the time. So it's nothing new to her she should be used to it. And as for the open wound." He tossed a couple bandages on the ground. "That is all you should need and the rat will be fine."

Eznik glared at the man. "I thought you said you had a doctor now who could treat his patients with the best of care? He can't do that without the right tools." he blared.

The scientist sniggered. "When I said care I meant more emotional care than anything else. Look, you already have her full trust. She'll let you do whatever you have to do. I believe you are doing a great job." he jest as he then looked at his tablet, everything was going according to his research. It all was going very well. He was very pleased with himself. And he learned more about the beast Orion. It seemed Orion would allow Brat's friends to transform her back; quite important data..

Eznik looked at Deka, it was clear this scientist was twisted in the head. "Deka, this is going to hurt." he spoke gently. Deka nodded as she tried to prepare herself. She let out a scream as he popped her leg back into its socket. She leaned forward grabbing Eznik with her good arm. She had some tears running down her face. She didn't know how much more of all of this she could take.

"Stay with me, Deka." he pleaded as he tried to comfort her. Eznik began to wrap her wounded arm. He looked over as a small vial was set down next to him. It was green and had some markings on it. It didn't look like any medicine he knew. Looking to Deka who shook her head as she trembled.. "N-no." she squeaked.

"Being such a good doctor, he made sure to keep all of his paperwork up to date. Such as what drugs people were addicted to and the like. It even has the dates that you were having issues, but those were times you would have been living with him, am I correct? It seems even in that time the doctor was keeping his records up to date. Treating you as a patient instead of a friend." He looked at Eznik who was staring at the vial, trying to come to an opinion on it. "What?... Didn't you think we wouldn't look at your medical reports from all the stations you worked at? And surely, you didn't think the files on Brat were the only ones that were hacked?"

"I would like you to administer the drug. It will help with her pain. Isn't that what you're distressed about..her suffering?" he directed as he stepped up and set a medical gun next to Eznik. "If you would Eznik. Unless you would like me to give Orion a reason to hate Lenkisa. So many options, Mr. Hitaru. There are plenty of other drugs I could give the girl as well. And it's all your decision, Doctor. The care of your patients."

Eznik indignantly picked up the medical gun. He put his hand on the vial looking to Deka, who had fear covering her face. He couldn't do it to her. The girl worked so hard to conquer it and live. He slowly loaded the vial while thinking how it would affect him. Could he fight it? Could he live through the dose?

Once the vial was loaded into the gun he had to decide what he would do. Could he watch Deka suffer? Could he deliver this addiction back into her system? No, he wouldn't do it.. not to her. This idiot scientist was wrong, she was more than a patient to him. There was just no way he would do that to her. He'd just have to hope that they needed him alive. And if he should die he prayed that the woman with the vendetta against his daughter was higher in the ranks and that would make her responsible for his death, hopefully eliminating one of Brat's enemies.

Looking to Deka, Eznik smiled softly at her as he whispered. "Be smart so to stay alive." She looked at him thinking he was giving her advice in hopes she could beat the effects of the drug but then she saw him shoot the drug into his own arm. "NO! Yah hearts can't take it!" Deka cried out in panic as she grabbed onto him as he hunched over. "No!" Deka yelped as she held Eznik tight in her fortoken fears of what was to come. "Please by the fates!"

"Restrain her." The scientist barked at the guards as he walked over to his desk grabbing up another vial. He looked to a couple medical staff. "Get him out of here, get his system flushed. Can't have him dyinging on us. We still need his pathetic ass for now..Take him to Brendon. Now!" He watched as the guards ran up and seized Deka wrenching her away from Eznik. "Let go!" Deka shrieked as she tried to fight the guards as the medical staff pulled Eznik out of her reach..

The scientist reached down picking up the medicine gun loading the new vial into it. He smirked. It seemed the doctor wouldn't do what they wanted even with promised time with his daughter and this girl. It seemed he wouldn't make one of his friends suffer. He held to his morals despite the fact it could cost him his life; supposedly a noble action on his part. He chortled a little thinking of such. "Noble? Ha!" he laughed out to himself. "Leaving this rat, the demon girl and his daughter to endure these experiments on their own. How noble. Ha! He just wanted a way out. He couldn't take it, he was deserting them." He then walked over to the intended victim.

"Deka, would you say the worst of it is the first 5 minutes, you would wouldn't you? For that's when most people die when they take their first dose is in the first 5 minutes.." the scientist stated as he walked over to her. "But the feeling after, is what all risk such for... it's said you feel free.. Freer than you've ever felt before. You can't feel any pain. There is no fear or worry, no love or hope to drag you down. No attachments; just the adrenaline that rushes into your body. Your senses are heightened as your body is pumped into overdrive making you more of a fighting machine. You feel strong and confident as if you can do anything as you are at your best because of this is what you used it for, right? In the death dealer games?"

Deka glared at him and she struggled trying to pull away from the guards. He stepped up to her. "Don't worry my little lab rat, ha! Ha! I like that, lab rat since you so literally fit the ! Well, anyway all joking set aside once you remember the feeling of this drug you won't be fighting it instead you'll be begging for more. All your pain and fear for the doctor will be gone, all your concern for your friends discontinued You'll be carefree once more. Allow me to be the one to reintroduce you to your addiction." he charged as he pressed medicine gun against her arm, shooting it into her. She whined as he did so. "Take her to Shiva, if she survives the dose, I'm sure that Shiva will want to see what that drug does." he instilled as he then walked over to Brat's small cell. He saw that she was passed out on the floor.

Deka was hunched over panting as she was dragged out of the room. Her eyes shot opened as she felt an immediate rush. She used her tail to trip the guard to her left. She swung hitting the other guard hard in the gut knocking the wind out of him. She turned swinging her leg at the other one she had tripped making sure he stayed down. The staff hadn't considered how fast the drug would take effect on an old user. Deka knew she needed to take advantage of this small upper hand she was just handed..

She had forgotten the feeling of this high, it was the sense of nothing. Though it was also being strong and feeling able to do anything. She glanced at her wounded arm, she had reinjured it and was bleeding through the bandages, but she couldn't feel it. She would've never known if she didn't see the blood for she felt nothing but strong. She looked down the hall and darted down it on her sore leg though she ran as if nothing was wrong for she felt nothing. She ran as if she was in perfect shape.

Her mission she had decided was to make sure that Eznik was ok. The worry about him, her fear for his life she could feel slipping away. She had to stay focused, she had to stay in control. She couldn't let the drug drown out what mattered to her. She refused to let him die because of her. She realized that time wasn't on her side as those guards would be calling for reinforcements, but she could at least make it back to the medical bay to check on Eznik.

Running past a couple scientists she slid to a stop in the medical wing. She ran in and looked into the room. A couple of the medical staff were holding Eznik down as he was screaming in such misery. She looked over to the doctor who was grabbing up a couple of vials. Brendon was on his name tag.

Deka stood watching as they worked on Eznik. He had to live, he just had to, she prayed. She was trying to keep her mind clear as her body continued to respond to the drug. She just stood watching them work on Eznik as it was all she could do. Her hands were shaking, it was hard to stay still; hard to stay focused.

Suddenly Deka's ears perked as she heard someone sneaking up behind her. Not yet, she couldn't be taken yet, she begged in her mind. She had to know if Eznik was going to make it or not. So in her need to stay put, she turned swinging hard at whoever it was behind her in her need to buy more time.

The man caught the punch, restraining her by her hand. He studied Deka as he held her captive. She had an injury but it was clear her mind was off. Her eyes were dilated and she was sweating and shaking. It was clear she was on some type of drug.

He knew the scientists did their thing and he, as a guard job, was to clean up their messes and eliminate their experiments when they were finished with them. He thought about this new little group that had just recently been brought into the facility that this girl was part of, one thing that they did was bring some excitement to the station. Bringing a little challenge to his job.

"How to get out of this?" Deka wondered. She was amazed that she was held captive just by the strength of his hand hold. But before she could figure it out he let go of her hand and walked on into the medical wing. She looked at him puzzled as she followed a few feet behind.

The guard was trying to figure out why the girl would run there after attacking the guards instead of trying to escape. Looking to the new patient that the doctors were trying to treat he assumed it was worry for this man that had caused this girl's actions. Instead of escaping like the other experiments would have she instead ran to check on her friend. It seemed this new group of experimentals were also very close to one another. But he knew that wouldn't last, not here, not at this facility, no way..

Deka curiously watched as this guard that had just stopped her and then released her looked in on Eznik. She then studied her hand that he had caught her with. She was perplexed and intrigued. It was clear that he was much more of a fighter than he appeared to be and so much more stronger than he looked. She watched him as he just then whistled for a new nurse, one that wasn't assisting Brendon.

"Clean and rewrap this arm, please." he directed as he turned, pointing at Deka. Deka was caught off guard. Not realizing he was still keeping tabs on her. "B-but, Molholt,.." the nurse complained. "Now! If you would Lena." Molholt stressed as he walked over grabbing a chair. He pulled it up to Deka. "Sit."

Looking at him, unsure of his motive Deka found herself even more perplexed "Sit, it will be easier for Lena to wrap it, also you are shaking from whatever you were given." he remarked as he motioned for her to sit.

Sitting down Deka looked over to Eznik. She flinched as Molholt grabbed her hand. He moved up her arm unwrapping the bloody bandage. "Why?" Deka questioned as she looked up at him. "Why what?" he queried as he gandered at Lena who had walked over with a small hover tray.

Deka glanced to the hover table to see if there was anything risky on it, seeing there was nothing unwarranted she asked "Why yah being nice? I just yah know knocked out some guards and technically yah know escaped." She then peered at the nurse who was now cleaning her arm.

"We aren't all sadistic bastards here." Molholt explained as he walked over to the trash dropping the bandages in it. "Frankly, my guards need to learn to keep their guard up. So it all was a good lesson for them. Besides you really didn't escape, you just came to get treated." he embellished as he looked to Brendon. It seemed they had gotten their patient stable.

Deka watched Lena walk away as she was finished rewrapping her wounds. Deka then went to get up, but Molholt looked down at her. "Stay." he insisted as he grabbed the back of her chair pushing her up in front of Eznik's bed. "Brendon, status on this patient? Please."

Brendon let out a small disgusted sigh, it seems the captain of the guards was set on bothering him. "Stable, but whoever shot him up with such a concoction is a complete moron… If he got here a minute later he would of been dead." he submitted as he glanced over at Deka. He had sent out for her awhile ago now here she was. She didn't look badly injured, but he could tell she was given something by the look in her eyes.

"Watch her." Molholt prompted. "Molholt, I am not a babysitter." Brendon countered. "She isn't going anywhere. I got to make a call." Molholt explained putting his finger to his ear. "Fine.I got her." Brendon replied as Molholt walked out of the room.

Deka looked at Brendon and could tell he didn't approve of her presence. She did try to punch him when she had woken up earlier that could be why, she reasoned with herself. Deka strenuously got up from the chair, her body still shaking some. She looked at Eznik and then to his vitals. She rubbed her hands together trying to calm herself.

Brendon let out a sigh as he walked up to her. He held out a small fruit to her. "Eat it." he said. Deka looked at him. "It will help your body deal with what you are going through." he finished. Deka took it looking it over. She then asked "Is he yah know, gonna make it?"

"Don't worry about him. The last thing they want is for him to be dead. So I have a feeling the other scientist won't have their chance with him for a while." Brendon spelled out to her. He walked away grabbing a couple of medical tools. "Sit back down."

Taking a small bite of the fruit he had handed her she did as he asked. She sat back down. Her attention went to him as he placed a small health monitor on the side of her head. Deka winced. She recognized it as what was causing Rin pain. She went to remove it and Brendon grabbed her hand. "Leave it. And finish eating. Your escort will be back soon."

Brendon walked over to the desk Lena was sitting at. He pushed a few buttons on a tablet as he glanced at it studying the read out on it. He looked up from the tablet to see Molholt walk back into the room.

Molholt looked at Deka who was sniffing her fruit. He took note of the medical monitor now on the girl. He walked up to her. "Can I take her?" he asked as he glanced to Brendon. "Just keep that on her. I want to monitor her from here. Make sure she finishes eating that."

Molholt chuckled. "Doctor's orders, heh. Got it. I will and I'll let Shiva know." He put his hand on Deka's shoulder. Part of him felt bad for the girl, but it wasn't his place to judge what was happening around this place as to feel one way or the other. It was just to do the job he was hired to do. "Up, come on." he bid.

Deka looked at him as he started to walk to the door. "Or do you prefer me to drag you?" he gibed. Deka rolled her eyes at his remark then got up and followed after him. "I doubt, yah can just let me stay yah know in there." she uttered glancing back at the medical room.

"If it wasn't for Shiva, probably could've let you finish that fruit before we had to go but she's already going to be mad at me for my guards losing you in the first place. Then for the monitor." He tapped the side of his head. "Shiva likes stuff her way. She is not going to be happy about that. Things aren't going to go well."

Lingering behind, Deka couldn't even think of finishing eating as she studied the doors as she passed them. She wondered where the rest of her friends were? Possibly behind one of these doors, in one of these many rooms? She looked to Molholt who then entered into a room just ahead. She then looked down the hall, she realized she had nowhere to escape to. Part of her felt like if she could make the run she'd just keep going and never stop again. She shook her head, she knew that was the drug talking. She reluctantly entered the room knowing she was walking into another experiment.

"Late!" A short woman spouted as she walked over to a desk. She was only 3 foot tall, but her facial appearance was that of late 30's. She had short purple hair and long ears that were pierced. She started to set out different vials onto the desk. "Pisses me off that all I get anymore is everyone's hand me downs!" she resentfully muttered.

Molholt let out a sigh as he looked to Deka. "You should have time to eat that." he pestered as he nodded to the fruit she had. Deka glanced at him rather annoyed with him insisting she finish her fruit. What was the big deal, she wondered? She then surveyed the short woman who started to put the vials back up. Deka frowned as the woman looked at her.

"Look, you can't even bring them to me without having someone else having them first." Shiva spouted. "Hand me downs is all I get! That's Brendon's monitor and he is the only one who gives fresh fruit." She shook her head in her resentment as she walked over to another table.

"Then your guards, Molholt." she assaulted pausing as she pointed at him. "You gave me the shittist ones you got! Every time they go and retrieve the raktvira boy, he's drugged! They are terrified of the boy! He can't even hold the form for a moment! Any type of stress bam, he's out!" Shiva goggled the table looking for something as she continued ranting. "Yet they find that they need to drug him! He's a boy, hasn't even honed into his skills! Hasn't hit maturity! At most, what he might break are some measly bones! Bones are easy to heal."

As she walked up to the table she growled. "But Bella can get an ex-elite without her being drugged up! They can get the demon girl without drugging! But me no!.. Look!" She cited as she pointed at Deka. "Even her! Lieon's hand me down! She's already drugged! I mean yes, to know what the drug dies is of interest me, but still! I should be in charge of what experiments I get! But No!"

Deka stared at the woman as she ranted on. She glanced over at Molholt who was chuckling under his breath a tadbit. Taking a bite of the fruit she watched the woman go back to the desk and started to pull out the vials once again.

"I sent ONE request for a simple, SIMPLE, test to do on Brat." Shiva sassed as she grabbed a vial looking at it. "You know what they said? My skills would be better off doing other experiments!" She slammed the vial down. "Understanding what the beast is and what it can do normally is beneficial to all! I was better off working with Masif! She, at least, appreciated the skills I brought to the table! The unmitigated study of phenomenal species is extremely important!"

Molholt shook his head in agreement as he walked up and sat on the desk looking at her. "I know your experiments are important. How about this. I'll be your personal guard, till the next shift comes. When they come I'll pick out the best guard for you." he offered as he smiled at her.

"Molholt, you know what to say to make a woman happy." she laughed as she shook the vial in her hand a little. "What did Brendon do with the girl?" Shiva asked as he looked to Deka who was finally finishing the fruit. "Just patched up her arm, the monitor and the fruit. The fruit; no clue why he gave it to her." claimed Molholt.

Shiva looked to the vial thinking about what he said. "The fruit is to help with the overdrive of the body, which is what the drug effects. Instead of sticking with medicine, it seemed he went a more natural route. The fruit in general is just a good snack to keep you healthy." Shiva clarified as she loaded up the vial and set it on her desk. She got down from her desk walking up to Deka. She circled the girl deciding what to do with her.

"Since you are going to be my personal guard and the raktvira still is out from the last little test. How about you help me with this one." she suggested as she grinned at Molholt. "Nothing too hard, you know my experiments. Still I'm sure you will do so much better than the guards who were assigned to me."

Molholt looked to the medical gun and then got up. "Why don't you just wake up the boy?" asked Molholt. Shiva put her hands on her hips as she illuminated her personal guard. "It's not from drugs, it's from exhaustion. It would be pointless to wake him. Just being a child, he needs to rest despite his powers or truly because of his powers." She then pointed to her desk. "He's passed out over there on the cot."

Deka looked at Shiva, Sakki was in there? She was excited. She tried to look behind the desk, from where she was but had no luck. Glancing at the woman who seemed to have her attention on Molholt she quietly walked towards the desk looking for him.

Out of the side of her eye Shiva watched Deka as she tried to sneak to the desk. "So." She looked back to Molholt waiting for a reply to her earlier request. "Fine, fine. What is it you need?" Molholt asked as he watched her walk away. Grinning Shiva walked up to Deka grabbing her tail. "Come on. The boy is fine."

Deka paused looking down at the woman. With the flick of her tail she probably could knock the woman out cold. "Can yah know let me see him first?" Shiva let out an exasperated sigh as she frowned. Still she let go of Deka's tail. "Hurry up then.I don't have all day. I'm sure I have other hand me downs coming my way." she rattled as she waved her on her way. Shiva then walked over to the wall at the back of the room. She pushed a button and it opened up. It looked to be a sparring room that was matted.

Deka walked up to the desk looking for Sakki. There Sakki was on the cot behind it sleeping soundly. He looked comfortable covered by a soft blanket. There were a couple of water bottles on the ground next to him. Smiling some, Deka was happy to see that he was fine. She felt relieved. He had a couple of defensive bruises on him, but nothing bad. She glanced back to the door, from the view of the door you would never know that he was in there.

Molholt stretched some as he walked over to Shiva who was standing next to the sparring room. "What kind of test is this?" he questioned her. "Just the basics.. to see how the drug is working, and analyze the effects of it on the mind and body. It would have been nice to have had her before the drug, so I'd have a baseline." she muttered. "That is how experiments work, you realize."

"Well, what do you want me to do?" he asked her as she walked onto the mat. She opened up a cabinet pointing into it. "Get those out for me." Shiva instructed as she looked over to Deka. "Ratsuda, in here now!" she yelled out.

Deka looked back at the woman. " It's Deka. My name is Deka." she corrected as she strutted over to Shiva. It seemed this woman wasn't as bad as the last scientist Deka decided. She tilted her head as she looked over the two large balls that Molholt had just dropped into the padded room. She then looked to Shiva again.

"Up! See how long you can stay up." Shiva instructed as she looked at her tablet. "Can you still do this test, Molholt? Do you remember how?" she queried as she glanced over at him. He frowned at her at demeaning talk.

Leaning up against the wall, Molholt rolled his eyes as he nodded. "Yes I remember." he answered impertinently. He looked to Deka who was looking at the ball debating on how to even get up on it. It was as tall as the little woman. She sighed, grabbing onto it, trying to pull herself up as the ball wobbled around. In the end the ball rolled over toppling her and she now laid flat on the floor. Molholt laughed out quite amused. Deka couldn't help but laugh a little at her clumsiness as well. This time as Deka climbed on she used her tail to balance it as she pulled herself up and stood on the ball.

Shiva looked at Deka. She watched until she got true balance. "Molholt, if you would. As you can tell, it's a bit hard for me." she tittered as she smiled at him.

Molholt grabbed a pole that was leaning against the wall in the corner of the room. He then ran up and swung it at Deka. Deka flinched as she blocked it but stumbled, falling off the ball onto the floor on her back. She was so happy the floor was padded. Molholt laughed at her as she laid there on the floor once more. She had to admit that she was a little stunned for she wasn't expecting Molholt to be able to swing the pole so hard and so swiftly.

"So much better than the other guards, Molholt! But then I've always been impressed with your skills." Shiva praised. She walked around the ball to Deka. "Very good block, now back up." she prodded.

Deka eyed the woman inquisitively, wondering was that a compliment? Deka went to her feet and climbed back up on the ball as asked. She attained her balance easier this time as she watched for the pole. Molholt swung it and stopped it right out of range from hitting her. He watched her stumble back yet keep her balance this time. He smirked as he quickly swung it again and she blocked it, staying up. Then twirling it the other way, he hit her much harder and swifter this time..

She quickly grabbed the pole with her tail as she braced herself holding her stance on the ball. She looked down at Molholt wanting to play this out a little more but stopped herself. She glanced over at Shiva who was clapping. It seemed odd, it was like she was actually enjoying this. It all seemed quite strange. This didn't seem like an experiment at all, thought Deka. This felt more like skill training than anything else. At least, for now she felt she was safe and so was Eznik and Sakki and last she had seen Brat as well. She let out a relieved sigh hoping this was pointing to better things to be coming. Though the fear of losing her friends was drifting and she was just enjoying the thrill of this training.
