Chapter.4

Rick and Diane

Dianes POV

I had a pretty good first day. I want to learn more about Rick. He seems interesting.

"Diane", I turned around to see Rick running towards me, "hey Ricky", I said. "Do you wanna hang out sometime", he asked, "yeah sure", I replied. He seemed interesting, I wanted to know what his story was. He wore an eyepatch and a dark blue turtleneck under a pitch black hoodie with the hood up. I watched Rick's face he had a light pink tint on his cheeks rubbing the back of his neck. I smiled and patted his head. "Tomorrow after school, we can do homework together", I said smiling, Rick watched me his uncovered sparkling blue eye studying my face. "Yeah, let's go to your house", Rick said. "Ok, deal", I said and waved to him as I walked away.

Ricks POV

I walked into my house and didn't hear anything except the soft tapping of feet come down the stairs and the feeling of small arms wrap around my leg. "Ricky, your home", Erin squealed excited. "Hey buddy", I said picking him up. "Thank god mom and dad aren't home huh", Erin said. "Yeah cause I wanna tell you about this girl I met today", I smiled and took Erin to my room.

"Her name is Diane Crescent, she has blonde hair, blue eyes, she super nice, and friendly", I said. "She sounds awesome big brother, will I get to meet her ever", Erin asked his eyes shining. I nodded, "yeah, but I gotta wait till mom and dad aren't home, I don't want her getting caught up in that", I frowned. "You'll get the chance bro don't worry", Erin said jumping up hugging me.

I went to bed thinking of how awesome Diane was and how excited I was to see her tomorrow. " Good things are coming",I went to sleep with a big smile on my face.

"Rick wake the fuck up", my dad yelled. I rolled over to face my alarm clock, 5:00am.

Fuck that shit. I thought and rolled back over. "RICHARD", mom, perfect. "Go get me some more drinks." I finally decided to avoid a beating I'd get up.

I went to the bathroom and looked at my eye. The white was red and my blue iris looked terrible combined with it.

I put my eyepatch back on and got dressed.

"I'm going, I'll be home later I'm doing homework and a friends", I said and ran out of the house.

I got to school right on time. "Ricky", I turned around and saw Diane. "Hey", I said quickly stealing a hug from her. "Hey, what was that", she asked laughing, "oh nothing just wanted to give my friend a hug", I said smiling.

Classes went by well and I was ready to go to Diane's house and hang out with her even if we were only doing homework.

"Hey Diane are you ready to go," I asked " Yes, let's get going my mom is really interested in meeting you." She said. Hmmm she's been talking about me to her parents, I thought. I have a crush on Diane so that's a good start I guess.
