Erins Song
Dianes POV
"He said ok" I told the other band mates. Raven and Allen smiled. "Hey Diane, we've been meaning to ask you. Would you like to be the new female vocalist of the band", Raven asked. "Me, um, sure, I think Ricky would like that", I said, "yessss", Allen said.
After school we all went to my house. "Hi mom, this is Raven and Allen, part of Rickys band", I said. My mom waved and pointed up stairs. We went up stairs and found Rick sitting in bed hands over his eyes. "Hi baby, Raven and Allen are here", I said. Rick just looked at them, "hey Ricky", Allen said sitting next to him and Raven sat on the other side as I sat in front of him, we all hugged him when Raven surprisingly started singing

Rick was smiling by the end of the song.
Raven and Allen stayed for awhile, when they were leaving I walked them to the door they said they were going to make a song for Erin as respect. I thought it was a good idea and I went back to my boyfriend and just laid with him. " Ricky," I asked. " Yes," he answered. " What are you thinking about," I asked. "How I miss his smiling face and how I'll never see him again," he answered. We turned on the tv and fell asleep to " The Days And Nights Of Mrs. Pancakes." My mom woke us up and brought us both pizza for dinner, Rick was still having a hard time eating s but he did eat. " Do you like the pizza Ricky," I asked. Rick started whimpering as he spoke " Erin loved pepperoni, but now he's gone.. " I held him close and started sobbing with him. "How can someone be so evil", Rick cried. "I don't know baby, I don't know", I said and rubbed his hair. "Diane, I think I need to go home", Rick said. I looked at him, "I don't think that's a good idea", I said running my thumb over his cheek. Rick laid down and I fallowed his lead. "Hey so Raven said they'd make a song for Erin for respect", I said. "That's nice D", Rick said. He wasn't stuttering anymore but he was still distraught, honestly who wouldn't be.
The next day Rick went home, I didn't like that idea but he insisted on it.
Ricks POV
I scouted the inside of my parents house and I didn't see anyone. Lucky me.
I went inside, upstairs, not daring to look at Erins room.
Wait, Erin where is he where's his body?
I started crying again. Life just wants to fuck me up. I looked in my parents room and saw my mom slowly waking up from her drunken sleep. I quickly decided against going in to talk to her. My whole body froze when I heard the front door slam open knowing it was my dad. I backed up into the hall peeking my head around to see if my dad was going to come upstairs first or the kitchen. I saw him halt at the stairs and I held my breath but he slightly shook his head and passed by the way upstairs.
I didn't want to get into a fight with my dad and end up getting hit, my mom likely didn't know about Erins death, if she did she obviously didn't care or she drank away her sarrow of losing her baby. It makes me feel hated to be honest, before Erin was born and I was getting beat up by dad, mom never once paid attention to me, I've provided for myself ever since I can remember.
"Richard", I heard my dads steps coming up, shit, I wasn't paying attention.
I ran to my room, locked my door and sat on my bed. No, not now please.
My dad banged his fists in my door, "open your door now little shit", he screamed. My breathing got heavier, "go away", I yelled. Erin wasn't here, Raven wasn't here, Allen wasn't here, Diane wasn't here. I'm alone here. I heard the pounding on the door get harder and saw the door frame shake. Is he, he's try to knock it down.
I don't think he's ever tried to break down my door. As the frame kept shaking I covered my ears and started screaming and crying. I'm never getting out, I'm alone for ever why did I ever believe I could get out. All I have is my mind filled with equations and ideas for a science filled future and exploring the galaxy, but I'm not going am I?
I heard a loud crack and then everything went silent. My frame had a chip out of it, he's doing it, shit. I quickly thought about what to do adrenaline pumping through my veins. I quickly called Allen, Raven, and Diane on video chat and aimed the phone at the door.
Diane- Ricky, are you ok
Raven- What's going on
Allen- Ricky, dude, why can't we see you
I didn't get to answer them when there was a loud crash. I felt my heart stop as I heard all three of my friends call my name. All I remember was a hand grabbing the hood of my shirt and pull me down to the floor and hands repeatedly punching me.
My dad grabbed the front my shirt getting in my face, "you told someone didn't you", he growled, "no no, I swear I didn't,", I tried to lie to my father. He started to shake me violently. "You're pathetic friends seem to know a lot for how they were yelling", my father laughed as I saw him holding my phone at a perfect angle to see what happened. "No dad, they've never known anything", I said trying to block my face as my father pulled back his fist hitting me in the stomach dropping me in my knees letting me gasp for air. I watched my dads retreating form, "your mom and I are gonna be gone tonight, find food so you don't die, not that I care piece of useless shit", my dad scowled, threw my phone on the carpet next me, and walked across the board on the floor that used to be my door.
"Ricky", that was Diane, I didn't even look at her I just covered my mouth and silently cried coating my gloves in blood and tears. "Hey, tell us when your parents leave tonight, Raven has something she wants to show you, and we'll help fix your door", Allen said, I wiped my eyes and nodded. "I'll be there too of course", Diane chimed in, i softly laughed at that, "always so sweet Diane", I said. I quietly talked to them till I heard mom and dad getting ready to leave. "They're leaving guys come on over", I said and hung up. I went to the kitchen and got out food and drinks. Knowing Raven and Allen, they'll feast on crappy snack food and Diane is a different story, little elegant angel.
Dianes POV
Allen and Raven picked me up in Allen's truck and we went to Ricks house. Raven had her keyboard with her so I was guessing she had a song. "So, we finished the music for Erins song. We can't find any lyrics so we just made a piano melody", Allen said. "I hope Ricky likes it, since that was still recent", Raven sighed. "He will, it might give him some peace", I assured my friends.
We reached Ricks front door and I knocked on his door. As the door opened he pulled me into a hug, I instantly hugged him back and kissed his cheek. We fallowed him inside and joined him on the couch. "Ricky, do you wanna see what we made", Raven asked nodding her head towards Allen too, "sure, is it music", Rick asked, they both nodded. "Ok, I'm interested", he said, I went closer to him and wrapped my hands on his arm. We both watched as Raven found the right sound to her keyboard. "Ricky, we want to tell you we made this for Erin, to give him respect for taking care of you and being our friend", Allen whispered. I felt my boyfriend tense, I patted his back and told him it'd be ok. "A Galaxy Of Heaven", Allen said the name.
Ravens fingers moved so smoothly over the keys, the melody was so peaceful it was like she was speaking directly to the angels with her music. I've heard her music on stage, it's so much more rock instead of melodic but this shows why Rick and Allen picked her for their band, she's so talented.
As she placed her finger on the last key I looked at my boyfriends face and I could see tears in his eyes. Sooner or later he'd learn to accept Erins death but until then all we can do is be there for him.
We all just watched tv for awhile watching our blue haired friend to see if he was about to break. He decided to break the silence, "thanks Raven, Allen, that was beautiful thank you, I'm sure it made Erin smile", Rick said finally showing emotion and wiping at his eyes. I hugged him tightly as our two other friends joined in. When we broke our group hug Allen decided to brighten the mood by announcing, "hey Ricky, guess what...Diane is our new female vocalist", Rick widened his eyes and then locked eyes with me and I smiled, "that's, that's awesome, we can sing together", Rick said taking my hands, his eyes sparkling, it was amazing, he shared Erins trait of being sad one second and happy the next.
