Picnic Dates
Ricks POV
Since I had just gotten out of the hospital I wasn't supposed to do much of anything that could strain my body. Luckily I could still play my guitar and perform with the band. I wrote many new songs and Diane sang the words perfectly.
Allen and Raven asked if we could double date with them since they were nervous about their first date. "Sure, it sounds fun right Ricky", Diane asked, "I think it sounds nice but I can't do a lot I would suggest a picnic, girls could pack the food and us guys can pick where we go and just meet up there", I suggested. The girls nodded and Allen smiled nodding too.
Dianes POV
I hope Rick is gonna be ok, it's been at most a week and he still needs to take it easy. Dating is a normal thing for teenagers. "You ok Diane", Raven asked as we were making a salad for the picnic today. "Huh, oh, yeah, I'm just worried is all, it's been a week and Ricky still isn't at full strength", I sighed. Raven smiled sadly at me, "Allen still has his sling, look at that huh, we have limited bois", she said, I laughed at that. It was true, Allen did still have his sling. Rick just probably had trauma for life though, he's strung enough to beat it he just needs that push forward.
"My lady", Ricky said when I opened the door to see my cute boyfriend hold his hand out to me, "my gentleman", I said and took his hand, "will you allow me to escort you to an elegant picnic date", Rick asked acting very high class, "hehe, yes, you may", I laughed a little he was being quite funny.
Raven had grabbed the picnic bag and walked by us, "geez, why can't my boyfriend act this nice", she groaned. That got Ricks attention, "Allen, get over here and help her", he softly yelled. We all saw Allen get out of Ricks car and fell over onto the concrete. "Calm down" Raven said and handed him the bag.
We drive to the picnic area which was very green under open skies. I watched as Rick and Allen spread out a rainbow blanket and set up the picnic. The boys led Raven and I to sit down and ran back to the car. Next thing we know, we're being showered in rose petals and given bouquets of red roses. The boys sat down in front of us as we shook rose petals out if our hair. I was laughing and leaned in to kiss my boyfriends lips. He gladly accepted.
Ricks POV
I still get butterflies every time she kisses me. We all got our paper plates out and filled them with food.
The double date was perfect, it enjoyed every second of everyday I got to spend with my girlfriend and my best friends. For in a few months we would be graduating and be leaving each other. We all vowed to see each other again. No matter how long.
