Atlas Military Compound

A young blonde woman was in the middle of an arena surround by what appeared and endless horde of Atlesian Knights.

"This is not cool, I was expecting a challenge from this challenge," the woman muttered to herself, before she raised her right hand above her.

"Not even worth my weapons," the young woman said as electricity began to spark between her fingertips before forming an orb of electricity in the palm of her hand. Just the first Knight could reach the woman an arc of electricity discharge from the orb and hitting the knight which knocked it offline.

After a dozen more attempts and knights going offline the robots tried to adapt as close quarters where not going anywhere. The remaining knights switched to ranged mode and began unloading rounds of ammunition at the young woman who was still smirking as every bullet that came her was zapped and reflected away from her by the orb in her hands acting as another defence. This continued for a while longer until the woman got bored.

"This kinda dull now," the young woman called out to whoever was listening. "Say goodbye to your toys now," The young woman brought the orb down to right in front of her chest before clapping both hands together dispersing the energy that maintained the orb setting off and localised EMP causing all of the remaining knight begin short circuiting.

A little while later, three people were in the arena surrounded smoking Atlesian Knights that giving of the occasional random spark.

"Really Samui, did you have wreck all of them," the male of the group sighed as he frowned at the destruction caused by his sister's spawn.

The blonde one of the group look towards her uncle with a small grin.

"You said I can go to Beacon academy when I pass your test, it is your fault for sending an army of tin soldiers at me, you know what my semblance is," Samui responded coolly while generating a small spark of electricity between her fingers showing off her semblance.

The other person standing in the room was analysing the young woman in front of her she was the same age as her sister Weiss and is the general's niece and has quite a powerful semblance.

As she looked at the general's niece she noted her attire the young woman was wearing she had on a short grey skirt, a low cut grey top, with some mesh armour underneath, along with shin high heeled boots along with some blue wrist guards and a light blue modified flak jacket wrapped around her waist. Twin blades were attached to the back of the flak jacket in blue sheaths. She was faired skinned like the general and had cool blue eyes just like the general, but this girl also had blonde straight shoulder length hair shaped into a bob, to which she only imagines she got from her biological father.

"B-b-but you just spammed your semblance," The general uncharacteristically was at a loss for words.

This was General Ironwood he run the entire Atlesian military, face down a horde of ancient grimm, and most impressive of all face down her Father, yet in front her was not the man most of the military admire. Samui and her brother Atsui were always his weak spot, biologically they were his niece and nephew, his sister's children who passed away when they were young. So, like any good relative he took it upon himself to raise them, but the twins held some sway over him, it was actually quite entertaining to see.

"General if I may suggest something, what if your niece sparred against me?" the girl with white hair offered.

"Winter?" Samui questioned.

"Specialist?"

"All due respect general how about this your niece goes up against me, she doesn't have to defeat me but to win she needs to impress you," Winter offered her general. All though secretly she wanted Samui to go to Beacon, Weiss may need a friendly face.

"That's cool," Samui stated simply before walking towards the centre of the arena.

As Winter followed after her James Ironwood left up to the observation platform after the maintenance bots came and took the damaged knights away and clear the arena.

"Just because you're his niece, don't think I will go easy on you,"

"Just because you're a Schnee does not mean I'll take it easy on you," Samui zinged back coolly.

"Touché,"

A couple of moments passed as both combatants took their battle stance and drew their weapon's.

As Samui drew her weapons that placed on her lower back dual tantos giving off a slight ringing noise showing winter that Samui had upgraded her weaponry since the last time they spared.

Winter drew her own sword before separating them into twin blades and taking her own stance after checking over the dust in each chamber of her blade's hilts.

"BEGIN," Ironwoods voice called over the speaker.

Lightning began to course throughout Samui's body as she activated her semblance once more. She dashed forward leaving a trail of lightning behind her as she clashed blade against the older Schnee.

The older girl kept her cool at the girl's speed. As they locked blades, they Winter could the feel the vibrations of the younger woman's sword.

"These are high frequency blades, aren't they?" Winter asked she knew what kind of damage they could cause against anything with no aura shielding.

"Yup currently they are at the lowest setting possible as I'm not trying to cut through your weapons," Samui responded.

Winter decided to break the lock up and push back up to gain some distance.

"I'm not letting you get away," Samui stated before chasing down the Schnee not allowing for any distance between them attacking in a wild flurry of slashes to which placed Winter further on the defensive and she wanted make space for a summon.

As the two battled on James Ironwood was joined on the platform by his nephew Atsui, Samui's older brother who was dressed in the Atlas academy school uniform.

"How's little sis doing Uncle Jimmy,"

"She is strong as you can see," Ironwood replied with his eyes never leaving the fight below.

Back in the arena Winter was noting the blondes timing and attack pattern.

'There,' Winter thought as the found a small window in blondes pattern, before parrying both of the HF blades and landing a kick in the girls sternum which allowed for Winter to make some space so she used her summoning glyph and summoned 3 Boarbatusks and sent them towards the blonde.

Just as Samui recovered she noticed the three-summons heading her way at high speeds.

'Shit,' Samui thought to herself as she changed the frequency settings on her blade, so the blades were now shrieking at the speed they were vibrating.

The boarbatusks began to spin and Samui meet them head on. Making quick work of them as her blades allowed for her to slice through them with ease. After slicing through them Samui she noticed a small swarm of summoned nevermores heading her way so before they reached her she sheathed her weapons before holding out her arms in front of her tapping into her semblance allowing electricity to bounce between her hands as the lightning began form an orb to which she began to condense making the orb as small as a marble, but glowing with power.

Up on the observation platform Atsui noticed what she was doing.

"Wow she is taking this seriously using one of her trump cards the lightning particle cannon," Atsui noted.

Ironwood just noted how much his sisters' kids were considered to be geniuses as always found imaginative ways to use their semblance's, hell even Penny's laser cannon was based off of his niece's elemental semblance.

Just as the swarm reached Samui she unleashed the marble in giant beam of Lightning which wiped out all of the mini nevermores a moment later.

After seeing her summons dispatched Winter used a time dilation glyph to speed herself up and then she layered a reinforcement glyph on her weapon to up their durability. Winter then charged at the general's niece.

Samui saw what her opponent was doing and channelled more of her semblance through her body and her blade as electricity cover the tantos making them vibrate at a greater frequency and dashed towards the oncoming specialist.

Back on the platform Atsui who was monitoring the Aura levels of his sister and crush noticed that Samui had less aura than Winter but considering that she used the particle cannon he wasn't surprised it was one her trump cards. The difference in experience between the two he wasn't surprised that she was losing technically, but the objective of this wasn't to win but impress their uncle into thinking she was ready for the big bad world, his little sister was strong, but she was only 17 years old, definitely have time to grow.

"It going to be over after the next clash," Ironwood declared

Back the arena the two women just clashed both swinging their blades at each other and in an instant, they were back to back with both women breathing heavily.

Samui fell to a knee while Winter remained standing, but the sound of metal clanged against the floor as Samui managed to the cut through Winter's swords.

Clapping could be heard as Atsui and Ironwood walked over towards them.

"Congratulations Samui you pass, you will be allowed to attend Beacon, but they will be rules you must abide," Ironwood stated ending in a serious tone.

"Thank you, uncle I won't let you down," Samui said seriously as she made it to her feet.

"Don't thank me, you earned it kiddo," He said with a small smile.

"Yeah congrats little sis," Atsui chimed in while walking over to her to be ready to steady her if need be.

"Specialist Schnee, we will get your swords repaired and you will be refitted before your next mission, but I believe you have another pressing engagement at Schnee Manor,"

"Yes General," Winter saluted before heading off to the place she once considered home.
