I awoke to the dark, now normally i wouldn't mind the darkness, i long ago overcame that fear but the darkness i was in was warm, cramped and wet. I am ashamed to admit this but i panicked in that dark area, thrashing around slightly before i got my bearings, i then spent some time attempting to figure out where i was, feeling around i found the walls were pliable and there was a cord nearby, to my utter horror i realized i was most likely in a womb. The realization that i was within the area that babies grow in and that i had somehow reincarnated had me frozen for some time. Later, once my brain had comprehended the fact that i had reincarnated, i then set about meditating, i had read enough fanfictions in my day to know that meditation is one of the only things to do while unborn, and allows the reincarnate to not have panic attacks, plus if i was in my world my meditation would help keep my mind sharp and focus on my breathing exercises. If i happen to be in a new world like the many stories than there may be some sort of energy like qi, ki, chi, mana or the like, realizing this i make the first thing to do when i am born to be figuring out where the fuck i am. i reiterate, time passes by fast when one sticks to a schedule and nothing interrupts you, my schedule of meditation and mimicking breathing exercises(the umbilical cord makes it so that i dont breathe), meditation to relax and then a mix of rem and deep sleep with light sleep lessened due to the effects of the meditation. The time came when my routine was interrupted, an odd sensation had appeared, his stomach near his navel(belly button) had grown warm and felt clear, like the stream through ancient woods, the flame-like heat however was still growing and quickly at that, strangely the heat was not uncomfortable, i spent most of my time trying to figure out what the hell was happening. The flame grew rapidly and soon reached a peak, there at that peak it changed, where before the flame felt like growth and new and better, now it felt like change and greater and new and better. The new flame seemed to catch its bearings, the heat running around my body before settling back down and stilling, a moment passed the flame seemingly paused and then something changed, the flame, the heat compressed into a point feeling hot before bursting outwards and for the first time in my new life is saw light, the golden glow lighting up the womb around me in a near blinding flash of light. Meanwhile On a couch in an medium-large sized house, a woman lay quietly, enjoying the movie she was watching, her hair the color of golden wheat and her eyes the color of emeralds, she sighed happily her hand resting on a very pregnant belly, a while back she had awoken in the night to a slight bit of pain in her stomach, she had panicked and visited the doctor and had been swiftly told that nothing was wrong thankfully, but her baby's brain seemed to be improving rapidly and to expect her baby to be smarter than others his age, unfortunately her sister had laughed greatly at that enjoying the look of Wtf? she had on her face, her sister looking after her as the child's father had ran the moment she had announced she was pregnant long may he suffer, she was going to rip him to pieces, she had already filed everything needed for the child support and cousin natassi with his quirk enhanced mind was ready to rip everyone in the court three new assholes if they dared take it that far, she knew he was fairly wealthy, he had taken her around in an ancient pre-quirk era collectors car after all, it was a cada something, it slips her mind at the moment but money he does not lack, this she swore on or she would not be akarui kibishi. a week later however something new would happen, she was lounging across the couch as usual, her sister sakura flopped on the other one when she felt a warmth in her stomach, she glanced down and saw her stomach start to glow, quickly she got her sister and they checked to see if she is alright, making a decision the women got in the car and drove to the hospital. As they stopped the car in the parking lot the glow suddenly doubled before akarui burst into golden flames, different from her own quirks flames which burn teal. sakura of course freaked out running and getting hospital staff, akarui on the other hand was transfixed, from within the flames everything was beautiful, she felt sensations of joy and the changing of seasons and beneath that all a soft darkness that held a terrifying edge to it just in case it is needed. It took some time for the hospital staff to get out to her with everything needed and the sight that greeted them was wondrous and terrifying, a ten foot pyre of gold and teal flames joyously dancing together, the teal flames helping the golden ones burn higher. Snapping out of their shock the hospital staff quickly determined the flames were not burning anything and swiftly moved akarui to a better place while the flames puttered out, three minutes later ten minutes since the golden flames appeared and eight since the teal flames had joined them. The flames burned blue for a moment and then dispersed to reveal a beautiful being, akarui's skin gleamed, her hair silken, her body now balanced between muscles and softness. The doctors swiftly checked over her, they found multiple changes to her body, her digestive system being far stronger and her womb being several times more efficient, her muscles slightly denser and her eyesight healed to 20/20, her lungs and heart working better. the doctors were stunned and after much discussion put forth the idea that her unborn child's quirk boosted other quirks in its vicinity and due to her quirk which improved items by melting down unnecessary things and configuring them into better things that the boosted quirk had improved akarui with a focus on her womb as she is currently with child, after a few more tests they decided to let her go home, noting on the unborn child's sheet about his quirk, After finding she was in perfect health with the order to eat healthy and eat lots. inside the womb jim slept peacefully, the golden light having lulled him to sleep with calm warmth and the emanating feeling of love that had come along with the teal color appearing, he would sleep the remaining month until birth. the next time jim awoke was to a jostling and movement, having awoken he could tell that the womb around him is moving, feeling around he located the walls and his umbilical cord, swiftly the movements became more hurried before he was suddenly in the light and OMAGADITSOCOLD!, the wind is like knives across my skin ow ow ow! a litany of curse words blasted out of him. the job of a doctor is a stressful one, and delivering babies is, besides surgeries the most stressful thing a doctor can be a part of, that being said this particular pregnancy is probably one of the easiest ever, the child was on time and just like with many other children coughed up spittle and started crying, the child was cleaned and swaddled and given to his mother, a tired but not exhausted akarui, when asked what the child's name would be she said, whilst looking into the child's sapphire blue eyes "ao, ao kibishi" and the baby smiled and giggled and everything was right with the world for a moment. the next few years were rather
monotonous for ao, and generally consisted of being fussed over by his mom and sleeping, thankfully as the doctors could attest unlike normal babies that sleep nearly the entire day ao needed less sleep, two hours less sleep to be exact. Ao of course used these two hours to meditate, his breathing exercise now fully instinctual. during these formative years he sought out info on where the fuck he was, one night he was being held by his mother, barely three months old when suddenly a voice rang out on the screen, a thousand angels answering a prayer deep within, a hundred voices sounding celabration, on screen the news is showing something, i struggle to turn my head to see, the voice crys out "it's fine now. why? Because i am here!" a memory, old and faded, of a lazy day in a firehouse as one of my blurry companions drags me into reading a manga about heros, one i had forgotten about, a story about a world where people become heroes, their powers, although i forget the name, shooting them forth to positions of great respect, their training bringing forth the ability to save others, their existence a scream of defiance to the dying out of the old type of hero, in that moment my heart surged with determination of a dream half fulfilled, a scream echoed from the bottom of my heart, though silence came from my lips, the rampaging roar cried out "I WILL BECOME A HERO!". if only becoming a hero was easy.
