This is an idea I had from watching Young Justice Outsiders and Ultraman Taiga. Based after Young Justice Outsiders episode 26. The Tri-Squad are in a heated fight against a powerful enemy, they lose and turn to dust. But can a link with some powerful heroes help the Tri-Squad beat the most powerful opponent?
I don't own Young Justice, Ultraman, DC, Toei or any of their characters so don't sue me. And I hope that you enjoy this.
Apokolips:
On the distant planet of Apokolips, four huge figures were fighting with all their might: it was a three against one fight but the trio were losing against the tall giant. The giant stepped out of the shadows to reveal his bright red eyes, blue body armor and dark grey skin: it was Darkseid!
"Guys, we need to fall back!" The leader shouted; he had big silver horns with yellow eyes, a red and silver body with a blue chest guard, He looked up at his team members: one had a red and black muscular body with a silver chest guard along with a white eyes and small gold horns, the other figure was blue and silver with an ice blue chest guard along with white eyes and a round head.
"But Taiga, if we don't stop Darkseid, Earth is doomed!" The muscular hero stood up and as he held his ribs, the blue hero nodded in agreement.
"But if we keep trying, we'll end up losing our lives!" Taiga told the others, the two didn't want to retreat but they knew that Taiga was right. "Titas, Fuma, let's go!" Taiga shouted, the trio were about to retreat when Darkseid shot his Omega Beam and hit the three heroes. Taiga and the others crashed into the ground as they groaned in pain, the trio got back up and looked at Darkseid.
"Looks like we'll have to fight," Taiga told Titas and Fuma, they nodded then ran towards Darkseid and continued their fight. Fuma attacked as such speeds that the Omega Beam couldn't catch up with him, whilst Taiga and Titas punched him Darkseid as hard as they could.
"Few have fought me and had the courage to continue," Darkseid spoke as he held his hand up and caught Fuma by his neck, Taiga and Titas ran towards their comrade but Fuma was thrown towards them. "I'll grant a quick death." Darkseid then shot his Omega Beam which first hit Titas and Fuma.
"Titas! Fuma!" Taiga screamed as he held his hand out to try and grab his friends but it was too late: Darkseid had turned them into light particles then they faded away. "How dare you do that to my friends!" Taiga shouted in pain as he got up then his body started to glow rainbow colours then held this arms together in a T shape. "Storium Blaster!" Taiga shot a rainbow coloured beam at Darkseid but he reflected and it hit Taiga, he flew down on to the ground and held his chest in pain.
"Allow me to help you join your comrades." Darkseid smiled then he blasted his Omega Beam directly into Taiga's chest which made the hero scream in pain until he faded away into light particles: the Tri-Squad were gone.
Earth, Happy Harbour:
In a house in the countryside, a young man was sat outside whilst repairing a motorbike: he was wearing blue jeans, black boots and a black t-shirt along with his black fingerless gloves. He was too busy working that he didn't hear footsteps approaching him, a hand reached out and placed it on his shoulder, the man turned around to see a tall woman with short red hair whilst wearing a yellow t-shirt, purple leggings and black shoes.
"How's the repair, Connor?" The woman asked, Connor turned around and looked up at the woman with a smile.
"It's coming along, M'gann," Connor got up then cleaned his hands, M'gann smiled then hugged him. "I was thinking that we should start planning the date of our wedding." Connor suggested and M'gann agreed, they started heading towards their house when a portal opened and out stepped Dick Grayson, Jefferson Pierce and Kaldur'ahm.
"Connor, M'gann, sorry to interrupt your alone time," Dick apologized with a smile, he stepped forwards and looked the happy couple. "M'gann, we need your help with something." Dick told M'gann, she looked at Connor then she nodded then the five of them walked through the portal.
Watchtower:
The five heroes were in the science room on board the Watchtower along with Halo and Cyborg as they were looking at something unusual: a huge clear container which was holding red and yellow light particles. Cyborg walked over to M'gann and showed him a tablet with information on it about the particles.
"Me and Violet used our "abilities" to try and find out what it is," Victor started explaining to M'gann and Connor, they looked at the particles then Connor stepped forward. "Neither of us seem to know what this is." Connor placed his hand on the container when the particles moved towards Connor and transformed themselves into a hand which surprised everyone.
"The particles changed their form!" Jefferson exclaimed, Violet then placed her hand on the container but the particles didn't go near her. "And it seems that they only go near Connor." The team were confused but then the particles started to change shape; they transformed into a body of an unknown figure.
"Who or what are you?" Connor asked the figure who stepped towards the team then looked down at Connor.
"My name is Taiga; Ultraman Taiga," Taiga introduced himself then sat down on the cold metal floor. "I come from a planet far from here and my mission is to protect others." Taiga explained to the team, the team were surprised to meet another kind of alien who was like them.
"What happened to your form?" Dick asked, Taiga looked down at the ground then looked back at the heroes.
"Me and my friends were fighting a powerful being named Darkseid," Taiga told them, the name shocked the heroes which got Taiga's attention. "You know about him?" Taiga asked as he jumped to his feet and looked at everyone's reaction.
"We were told that a greater evil would be on its way," Dick told Taiga then he looked up to see that Taiga was looking down at the ground as if he was upset about something. "Did something happen to you and your friends?" Dick asked as he stepped forward and looked at Taiga who nodded.
"Darkseid destroyed my friends then me," Taiga told them which shocked them, Taiga looked down at his current form. "But thanks to us being Ultramen, our forms can survive as light particles however, we have to find someone who is willing to accept us so that we can heal." Taiga explained to them then they turned and looked at Connor.
"Is that why your light form was attracted to Connor?" M'gann asked, Taiga nodded then looked down at his light form which had started to fade.
"Taiga's fading!" Connor shouted, he used all his strength to break open the container then Taiga's particles entered his body which shocked everyone.
"Are you stupid, Connor?" Jefferson shouted as he grabbed Connor's shoulder then a black brace appeared along with a small silver key on his belt. They looked at the brace and key when human sized hologram of Taiga appeared sat on a table. "What has happened now?" Jefferson asked as he looked at both Connor and Taiga who had just jumped off the table and stood next to Connor.
"Now that me and Connor have merged, he can transform into me," Taiga explained to the team then three small orbs shone in Connor's hand: it was three Ultra bracelets. "Those are Ultra-lets with the powers of Ultramen Orb, Rosso and Blu." Taiga explained to Connor who nodded then the alarm started going wild then Barbara came into the room in her wheelchair.
"There's a Meta attack in Markovia!" Barbara shouted, she used her tablet to show Baron Bedlam was attacking the palace. "Brion has contacted and asked for backup." Taiga turned and nodded at Connor then he hologram form entered into the silver key.
"Tell Brion that backup is on the way," Connor told Barbara then he turned to Victor and nodded, Victor activated a Boom Tube then Connor, M'gann, Victor and Violet ran through it and it closed behind them.
Markovia:
Brion was getting into his Geo-Force suit when he heard the sounds of fighting downstairs, he knew that Bedlam was coming for him then his phone flashed: it was a message from Violet then he read it: she and the others were coming!
"Brion!" A voice boomed, the doors flew open and in walked Baron Bedlam and he was furious, he was about to throw a punch when a Boom Tube opened and blasted Bedlam out of the room: Connor, M'gann, Victor and Violet ran out.
"Sorry we're late," Connor apologized as he nodded at Brion then he pulled off the silver key from his belt. "Taiga, you ready for a fight?" Connor asked as he held up the key then it flashed a red light.
"Let's do this, Connor!" Exclaimed Taiga, Connor faced Bedlam then raised his right arm which had the brace on. "Remember; pull down the small lever then hold the key with your right hand." Taiga instructed, Connor nodded then placed his left hand on the small black lever on the back of the brace.
"The Hero Of Light; Taiga!" Connor shouted, he then pulled the lever which activated the brace, Bedlam started charging towards the team.
"Come on!" Connor then took the Taiga Key then held it in his right hand, the power from the key entered the brace which created a giant figure of Taiga behind him.
"Buddy go!" Connor shouted as he jumped and started hovering in the air as he started glowing red, he started to transform into Ultraman Taiga.
"Ultraman Taiga!" The bright red light faded away to reveal Taiga doing flips continuously until he landed on the floor and rolled between Bedlam's legs. The team was impressed with Taiga's appearance then they watched as Taiga fought Bedlam whilst it looked like Taiga was playing around, M'gann read Taiga's mind to try and understand him then she found out the truth: Taiga was trying to release all his anger after losing his friends.
"He's still grieving," M'gann told the team, they then all watched as Taiga grabbed and threw Bedlam over his shoulder. Meanwhile, Victor was scanning both Taiga and Bedlam then his scans picked up something. "Victor, what is it?" M'gann asked as she looked at him, Victor show the team what his scans detected.
"Bedlam's contacted backup the moment Taiga started fighting him," Victor told them then a huge group of soldiers broke down the doors and ran towards Taiga. "M'gann, should we go and back Taiga up?" Victor asked as he looked the team leader, M'gann nodded then the four heroes jumped over the rails and started fighting the rogue soldiers.
"Why are you doing this?" Brion questioned the soldiers but none of them answered their king which angered Brion. "I demand that you answer your king!" Brion bellowed but instead, one of the soldiers started shooting at him, Victor changed one of his arms into a cannon and shot the bullet then Brion punched the soldier.
"Hope the assist was alright!" Victor called over, Brion nodded then they started fighting together. Violet was glowing yellow as she was firing energy bolts which were stunning the guards then the team noticed a blue boomerang shape flying around then it disarmed all the soldiers, they followed the boomerang as it landed back inside Taiga's brace who then nodded at the team.
"We've got each other's back!" Taiga called over to the team but Taiga wasn't paying attention when Bedlam punched the Ultra into the stairs. "Should've seen that coming!" Taiga shouted then he had idea when he looked outside at the ground then looked at Brion, Taiga then looked up at Bedlam.
"What are you going to do now?" Bedlam asked as he started cracking his knuckles. Taiga got up then held up his right arm then raised his left, he then lowered his arms as he started glowing with rainbow energy.
"Storium Blaster!" Taiga shouted as he then shot a powerful rainbow beam as Bedlam which flew him outside and crash into the water fountain. "Your Highness, care to assist me?" Taiga asked and Brion nodded, they both ran outside then stopped close to the weakened Bedlam. "Connor, use Blu-let!" Taiga shouted as he looked down at his chest. Meanwhile inside Taiga, Connor nodded as he held up his left wrist which made the Blu-let appear.
"Come on!" The brace announced as Connor pulled the lever, he then hovered his right hand over his left wrist which activated Blu-let's power. "Blu-let! Connect On!" In the battlefield, a holographic form of Ultraman Blu in his aqua form appeared then it's power entered Taiga: Taiga held up both his arms then lowered them which made him glow with blue energy.
"Aqua Blaster!" Taiga shouted as he shaped his arms into a T shape then fired a water powered beam at the ground beneath Bedlam; causing him to sink. "Your Highness!" Taiga shouted, Brion knew what Taiga was doing so he then shot a lava beam at Bedlam which caused the ground to harden.
"How can this be?" Bedlam shouted, he tried to break free but it was pointless. "The throne is rightfully mine! Brion, you don't deserve it!" Bedlam bellowed, Brion looked down at the ground as he knew that Bedlam was right until he felt a hand on his shoulder: it was Taiga.
"You're wrong, Bedlam," Taiga spoke up as he looked at Brion then turned to face Bedlam. "Markovia couldn't have asked for a more kinder, warm-hearted and generous king. And there is no one more suited for being king than Brion." Taiga spoke up which made Brion happy to know that someone had faith in him. Taiga then turned around and nodded at Brion then the two turned around to see that the others had placed the soldiers under arrest just as the royal guards arrived and took away the soldiers.
"Can you take Bedlam away?" Brion asked as he looked at Taiga, he looked at M'gann and the team then looked at Brion. "As king of Markovia, you have my permission to take him away," Brion told Taiga, he nodded then walked over to Bedlam and pulled him out of the ground as he was still stuck. "Bedlam, you are now banned from setting foot in Markovia!" Brion told the Baron and before the rocky Bedlam could say anything, Taiga flew him to a secure facility while the rest of the team watched as now, they had a new friend helping them.
This is the first chapter of a new story I'm writing and I hope that you enjoyed it. I thought of this idea after thinking: Would it not be interesting to see Ultras and the League working together to defeat a powerful foe? I picked Taiga as he's my favourite and Connor; he's cool and my favourite character (next to M'gann, Wally, Artemis, Brion, Victor and Violet.)
