A little thing that came to my mind this morning, hope you guys like it

Chocolates
"I need chocolate"
Neji Hyuga is a fearless man. He faced death countless times, even greeted it without fear on the Shinobi War, and was surprised that the doctors were able to get him back to life right away. But when his training partner, who he knew for so many years, shows up with that look on her face, he feared for his life.
It wasn't much common for him to see her like this, after all, when she had her periods, she would rather stay at home than accidentally killing her teammates in a furious outrage due to her mood changes.
And this time, she not only was stressed and throwing her weapons more forcibly, she was craving for food. So there she was, staring at him with a blank face after her statement.
"Excuse me?"
"I need chocolate"
She kept staring at him, like he was supposed to do something. After a moment of silence her eyes began twitching. It was then that the genius Hyuga figured that he WAS supposed to do something.
"Do you want me to get it for you?"
"Oh yes, please!" She gave him a bright smiled, making him relax a bit.
Nodding, Neji took off to the city, where he could find the so craved chocolate.
Arriving at the market, he made his way smoothly to the sweets sector, where he found all team 10. There was Choji apparently deciding which flavour of sweets he should get, Shikamaru and Ino right behind him.
Hopping to not get noticed by the three, he went over the chocolates. However, unknown for him, there weren't only one kind of chocolates. Now what? His best option was to get Tenten's favorite chocolate, but that was the problem, he didn't know which was her favorite.
"I didn't know you liked chocolates Neji-kun" The high piched voice of Ino made him jump out from his thoughts. Shit! They noticed him.
"Hm" He just shrugged it off, hoping that the trio would loose interest on him.
"What kind are you looking for? My favorite is the one with peanuts!" Great, now Choji was interest in having a conversation. And even more, he asked a question he didn't know how to answer.
"I don't have a favorite"
"Oh? How come! Everyone has their favorites!" Choji now was somehow very exited about this conversation "Like Shikamaru, he likes milk chocolate, Ino here likes coconut flavored chocolate, Sasuke likes cocoa, 100%, its weird I know. Sakura likes straw…"
Choji mouth was suddenly covered by Shikamaru's and Ino's hands, whom noticed that the temper of the Hyuga prodigy was vanishing.
"I guess he understood that you know everyones favorite flavor Choji" Shikamaru said with an apological smile.
Wait, EVERYONES favorite? Maybe then Choji could know what chocolate was his teammates favorite. The idea of asking, however, wasn't pleasant. Neji knew that the trio would tease him, and probably for a while, if not getting more of his friends to tease him as well.
But oh well, it was this or get violently murdered by Tenten, who was still waiting for her goddamn chocolate. Taking a deep breath, Neji prepared himself for his question.
"You know the favorite flavor of everybody?"
His question made the trio look him with surprise. Ino's face was transforming into something mischievous, a smirk planted on her face.

"What is Tenten's favorite then?" Neji asked, receiving a mix of reactions. Shikamaru just smirked to him, Ino's smirk was now a devilish smile, and Choji just tapped the top of his head in deep thought.
"She likes the dark type, 50% cocoa"
"You sure?"
"Yep" Choji answered smiling, giving reassurance to the Hyuga that it was the right answer.
"Say Neji, why do you want to buy chocolate for Tenten?" Ino said teasingly, Shikamaru only put his hands in his pocket murmuring something like troublesome woman, but his smirk still in his face. He knew that Ino would get in the Hyuga's nerve yet.
"Not your business" Was the cold answer she received, but it didn't affect her in the least.
"Are you sure? Because she is a really good friend of mine, I would like to know if someone wanted to send her gifts. If I were you, I would get some flowers too. I know what flowers she likes" Her teasing continued.
Although he didn't mind the Idea of him getting Tenten a gift, he would like for it to be known by Ino or Sakura. Wait, I don't mind what!?
"It's a favor" Neji said, pushing the image of him bringing flowers and gifts for his teammate and best friend far away. Its not like he pondered on the idea of actually getting her a flower right now. She would like a flower, a kunai set would be better.
Nodding with his answer he ignored the teasing of the girl and made his way to the cashier, where he pais and marched to the exit.
"A kunai set is always nice too, considering its Tenten after all. But a flower always conquers a woman y'know" Was the last thing from Ino that he heard that day.
Walking back to the training grounds, his mind was still wrapped on the idea of bringing gifts. That idea made butterflies fly in his stomach, he shouldn't be thinking about courting his best friend for heavens sake!
It also didn't help that on his way, he passed by the weapons store, where he remembered a kunai set that she saw the other day and drooled all over it. It didn't help also that some stores away was the Yamanaka's shop, where he knew he would find her favorite flower. He didn't need Ino's help for that, for he knew his teammate favorite flower, a Marigold.
Arriving close to the training grounds, Neji found himself with not only the chocolate, but with the kunai set and a single marigold. Hoping that Tenten wouldn't kill him for the long wait, he rushed to where she was waiting.
"Finally you arrived, what took you so-" Tenten stopped mid-sentence, noticing the extra things that the Hyuga brought too. A hand was behind him, looking like it was hiding something.
Fighting the blood rushing to his cheeks, Neji maintained his face emotionless, just a little blush stamped on his cheeks. He choose to hide the flower behind him, wanting to study her reaction to the first gifts.
"These are for you too" he handed the gifts to her, a rare unsureness in his action, the flower still behind him.
"You didn't need too, y'know… OH MY GOSH"
Tenten seemed like a little child, having now found the kunai set she was dreaming on getting, but her money was always short for it.
Feeling a little bit relieved, Neji slowly handed the flower to her. Now it was Tenten's turn to blush, which made the Hyuga feel way better. Shyly taking the marigold, Tenten took in the beauty of the flower.
Neji was taking a mental picture of this scene. For him, it was beautiful, Tenten was beautiful. He always respected her, knew he could depend on her, and she knew that she could depend on him as well. He never thought much feelings, but he was aware that for this woman, he would move mountains, but it never struck him that he may have feelings for her more than friendship.
Making a mental note for buying her more gifts, Neji motioned towards the forgotten chocolate package in her hands.
"Is that your favorite flavor?"
"Oh- Oh! Yes it is! How did you know? I didn't told you my favorite flavor?"
"I got a little help from Choji" He answered, not wanting to remember that encounter in the market. Tenten just voiced an 'Oh' and went to sit under a three, signalizing for him to seat by her side. He complied.
Seating under the three right by her side was something common for him, but now aware of his feelings, he was a little unsure what to do.
"You want some?" Tenten broke the silence, handing him a piece of chocolate, which he took hesitantly, which, Tenten of course noticed. "You like chocolate, right?" She asked half laughing at him staring down to the chocolate like it would kill him.
"Never ate much, but never tried this flavor" He answered, putting the whole piece of chocolate in his mouth.
The explosion of flavor surprised him. It wasn't too sweet, but not too bitter as well. It was balanced, just the perfect amount of sugar and cocoa.
Tenten studied his expression carefully, grinning when his expression was one of pleased by the chocolate.
"Did you have a hard time with Ino?"
Neji had to hide the grunt that wanted to come out, but then remembered that it was her idea the flower and gifts.
"She was… ok"
"It was her idea the other gifts?" She asked expectant, Neji gulped.
"Sort of… The flower was hers idea, the kunai mine" He said, looking to the other side, his cheeks burning red.
Tenten chuckled and took a bite of the chocolate.
"You know, I think that this chocolate if just like you" She said, earning a curious look from the Hyuga. "It just the perfect amount of sweet and bitter y'know" she finished, smiling warmly to him.
It took a moment for the genius Hyuga process that she said that her favorite chocolate was like him, gaining another chuckle from the kunoichi.
"Also, I'm not on my period, I just wanted to see how you would react if I gave you an indirect for something, and I gotta say, you are slow, but you made up for it" it was impossible for her smile to be more beautiful.
Neji remembered now, her period was two weeks ago, he was on a mission and didn't get a memo, but the timing would be around that.
"So I passed?" With everything clicking in his head, he began inching closer to her, who grinned and closed the space between them.
Their was gentle, and when they both pulled apart Tenten circled her around his neck.
"I would say that you had a perfect score" She said and they kissed again, this time more passionate.

As the sun rises again to the sky, Neji Hyuga founds himself in Tenten's room, with her by his side. Smiling to himself, he proceeded to embrace her yet sleep form, thinking to himself that she needed to ask for chocolate more often.
