Leslie looked in the mirror at her reflection trying to compose her anger.
Jamm was being a pure butthead again and trying to shut down her wonderful plans for a new park development. Why couldn't he just go infuriate someone else?

He had walked past her in the carpark, with his smug face, spitting his plans to ruin her park development at her. Since Jamm had weasled his way into councilman position, he was shooting down her park plans despite the boards agreeance.
There was nothing she could do but hope that he would change his mind or convince the board to completely agree and pass her plans for the park development.

Leslie tidied her hair and took a deep breath, before storming out of the bathroom and into Ron's office.

"Ron, are you aware of what that Butthead has done? He's objecting against my park!"
Leslie slammed the papers down on his desk. He blinked in surprise.

"Leslie, we both know Jamm is a Neanderthal. You just have to convince the board to want the park too."
Ron said with a hint of amusement.

Leslie smiled in realisation.
"Ron you beautiful, colourful bird." She smiled and sprinted from the room as Ron rolled his eyes.

She had the perfect idea. Devising a plan, she quickly wrote up a voting poll and spent the entire afternoon advocating to the public and asking them for votes.
She was so pleased with nearly everyone voting yes, except the grumpy old man at the hotdog stand.

It was now 6pm and the offices were clear. Walking with her stack of votes, her head was turned up in confidence.
Suddenly, the very person she wanted to see turned the corner into her path.

"Jamm! Just the person I was looking for"
She smirked.

Jamm walked closer his face screwing up in frustration.

"Didnt you see the public wants my park! A few more votes and it won't be hard to convince the board to pass my bill so in your face!" She shouted in enthusiasm.

Jamm's ugly face screwed up in anger.
"Knope, don't think you can defeat me you bitch!" Jamm stood over her as Leslies humour left her face with surprise at his excessive rudeness.

She opened her mouth to defend herself.
"Hey-"
A booming voice intercepted.

"Jamm! Get out of her face now before I make you!" Ron stood in the doorway, his expression serious with no signs of amusement.

Jamm glared and stormed out.
Leslie turned to Ron.

"Hey, thanks Ron, but I can take Jamm. He's an ass, I know what to expect." She chuckled in amusement as Ron's expression stayed serious.

He stepped closer.
"Leslie, just be wary of him. I don't trust that trash talker." He glared in his direction at the empty doorway.

Leslie was flattered but slightly offended that he thought she could handle his uneducated insults.
"Thanks Ron, but I got this."
She grinned as Ron stared at her unconvinced.

"Night Ron!" She shouted as she left the office.
Ron watched his jittery little best friend leave as he gathered his things and looked forward to eating Dianes delicious steak pie for dinner.
