"Uh!" Kaien groaned as he fell on a branch after Karan teleported him out of the way. "A little warning next time."

"Move." Karan said shunshining away multiple times.

"Ah!" The freshly awakened Naruto cried out as he tried to tackle Karan but ended up crashing into a tree before a black and while lion lunged at her. She jumped up and grabbed a branch to swing herself up in the air before quickly throwing shuriken that had no effect on the lion. Karan quickly formed a few hand signs taking a deep breath.

"Futon: Wind Arrow." Karan said before blowing out a wind arrow from her mouth making the lion burst into blobs of ink but right behind it was Sai. Karan pulled the wires that were attached to the shuriken trapping Sai in between them hanging in place. "Stay." She said looking right into his eyes and he stopped struggling.

Karan looked towards the fort where there was a huge blast.

"Looks like the fighting's started." Karan said to herself.

"Katon: Great fireball jutsu!" Kaien called out.

"Shit." Karan put a hand on Sai and teleported him out of the way and pushing him towards a girl with long dark hair and shunshining in time to avoid a beam of wood coming towards her.

Then she heard a loud screeching sound and saw Kakashi run towards her brother and instead of moving out of the way he was forming hand signs.

"Shit." Karan said teleporting to grab Kaien. She turned to see Kakashi's attack merely inches away and his eyes met her. His widened as he flashed back to the day he killed Rin.

"K-Kakashi." She choked out as killed her.

A second before he hit Karan she teleported them out of the way and he hit the tree.

"Uh Karan I had it handled!" Kaien said.

"Really?" Karan said pointing to where Kakashi was pulling his hand out of the tree that had a very sizable hit in it. "Lightning beats earth."

That's when a swarm of insects started coming towards them.

"Futon: Spiraling Blast." Karan said.

"Katon: Dragon flame Jutsu." Kaien said

The two blasts merged to create a huge blaze of fire and incinierated all of the insects. Just as there was a loud rumble of lightning.

"Things are starting to pick up over there." Kaien said.

"Yeah." Karan said shunshining out of the way of the Sakura and Yamato.

"Get out of our way!" Naruto shouted.

"Karan now might be a good time to…" Kaien started.

"Not doing it." She said.

"Fine then I will." Kaien said activating his Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Don't look at his eyes!" one of them shouted before Kaien surrounded all of them with black flames.

"Now no one is going anywhere." Kaien said before turning to Karan. "Was that so hard?"

"Sure, if you were planning on burning down an entire forest." Karan said.

"Who the hell are you two?" Naruto asked. "Akatsuki?"

"No." Karan said slightly offended to be put compared to them.

"We're doing someone a favor." Kaien said. "Don't know why…"

"We owe him a lot and its better than the alternative." Karan said.

"Who are you?" Sakura asked.

"Uchiha Kaien." Kaien said.

"Uchiha Karan." Karan said.

"Uchiha?" Kakashi said.

"That's not possible." Yamato said.

"We get that a lot." Kaien said looking towards the compound. "It's almost over."

"Yeah." Karan confirmed.

"We need to go now." Naruto said. "Or we'll end up losing Sasuke."

It started raining and Madara appeared.

"It's over." He said. "Itachi is dead."

"Time to go then." Karan said.

"What do you know about the stones?" Kaien asked Madara.

"Not a lot but I can help you find the one you're looking for." Madara said. "I can help you both."

"Pass." Karan said.

"Join us and all of our resources are yours. We'll help you recover the stone all I ask in return is your help accomplishing our goal." Madara said.

"How do we know you're telling the truth?" Kaien said.

"Kaien." Karan said.

"We're not getting anywhere." Kaien said. "You promised me we'd get it back no matter what."

"And we will." She said. "But not with him."

"We don't have a choice Karan." Kaien said.

"Yes we do." Karan said. "You know what he's done, what he's capable of and you're seriously considering joining him?"

"I'll do whatever it takes." Kaien said. "With or without you."

"You're on your own then." Karan said.

"Such a waste." Madara said.

"Fuck off." Karan said activating her Mangekyo Sharingan.

"Stay out of our way, for your own good." Madara threatened her as she shot black flames at him before he teleported away with Kaien.

"Idiot." Karan muttered. "Well I'm leaving, don't touch the black flames."

"Wait!" Kakashi said. "What do you know about the Akatsuki?"

"Rogue ninja, they wear black cloaks with red clouds they're after jinchuriki like your friend. The have hideouts pretty much everywhere. Don't really know who's a member anymore except for the obvious addition of my brother. We've been gone a while." Karan said.

"You need to come with us." Yamato said.

"That's not happening." Karan said. "I'd rather take my chances with the Akatsuki than Danzo."

"Danzo?" Sakura and Sai said.

"Never met the guy but he has a thing for collecting dojutsu. Might want to be careful with that one." Karan told Kakashi.

"We know." Kakashi said. "Tsunade-sama will still want to talk to you."

"Still no." Karan said.

"You're looking for something." Sai said. "A stone."

"What do you know?" Karan said turning her eye at him.

"You obviously don't get along with the Akatsuki and they're enemies of Konoha. You can't take them by yourself. We've dealt with Danzo before and he wouldn't dare defy the hokage." Yamato said.

"I wouldn't be too sure about that." She said as she deactivated her Sharingan and looked around at the damage, namely the black flames burning around them. "But I actually don't have any better ideas of where to go next so… which way are we going?"

After a brief regrouping and finding a way through the flames.

"I'm going to send Pakkun ahead." Kakashi said quickly summoning him.

"Oi Kakashi." Pakkun greeted.

"Pakkun, I need you to go ahead and notify Tsunade-sama we lost Sasuke's trail and We'll be returning to Konoha with an informant." Kakashi said.

"Informant?" Pakkun said before turning and seeing Karan. "Rin?"

"Who's Rin?" Naruto asked.

"Pakkun." Kakashi said reminding him of the task at hand.

"H-hai." He said before running off. "We should hurry if we want to make it before dark."

With that they all hurried off.

"Senpai, Rin was…" Yamato asked.

"Hai." Kakashi said. "She looks identical to her. Just older."

Hours Later they finally made it to Konoha and Karan just stared at everything with wide eyes.

"Whoa… This is Konoha?" Karan asked with a grin.

"Yeah… what? You've never seen a village before?" Kiba snarked.

"Not like this." Karan said. "It's huge and the building are so colorful and bright. You have faces on your mountains?"

"Those are our hokage." Naruto said. "The strongest ninja and leaders of our village."

"Amazing." She said.

"Come on, Tsunade-sama's waiting for us." Yamato said.

They jumped from roof to roof until they arrived at a giant red building with a fire kanji marked on it.

They went inside and she got a lot of stares from people passing by before they were escorted into an office where the blonde hokage was waiting for them.

"Kakashi, Yamato." She greeted. "So the trail for Sasuke has gone cold?"

"Hai. After the battle where Itachi was defeated all traces of both of them were completely gone and the rain washed away any traces of their scent." Kakashi informed them.

"And this is your informant?" She said looking at Karan.

"This is Uchiha Karan." Yamato said.

"Uchiha?" Tsunade said staring at Karan and finding something about her familiar.

"Hai." Yamato said and Tsunade turned to Kakashi noticing his tense posture and how he avoided having to look towards Karan.

"You have valuable intel on the Akatsuki?" Tsunade asked.

"I have intel not sure how valuable it is." Karan said.

"Either way, Ibiki and Inoichi have been notified and are expecting you." Tsunade said.

"Ibiki?" Kakashi said.

"Standard protocol." Tsunade said. "Yamato will you escort her there."

"Hai." Yamato said leading Karan out of the room leaving Kakashi and Tsunade alone.

"Is she really an Uchiha?" Tsunade asked.

"It appears so. She has a Mangekyo Sharingan and so does her brother." Kakashi said.

"The brother that joined the Akatsuki?" She asked confirming what he reported previously.

"Hai." Kakashi said deep in thought.

"Is there something else?" Tsunade asked.

"I'm not sure." Kakashi said.

"She reminds me of someone. I've seen her face before somewhere." Tsunade said.

"Nohara Rin." Kakashi said. "She looks just like her. Even her voice."

"Your former teammate." Tsunade said. "We need to learn more about that girl."

Meanwhile…

"Here we are." Yamato said.

"Not really what I was expecting." Karan said.

"What were you expecting?" He asked.

"A dungeon." She said and he grimaced.

"Yamato." Ibiki greeted. "Is this her?"

"Hai." Yamato said.

"I'll take it from here." Ibiki said. "If you'll follow me."

"Sure." Karan said following him down the hall into a room she with a table and chair. There was a man with long blonde hair held up in a ponytail who she assumed was Inoichi.

"Take a seat." Ibiki said. "Tell us everything you know about the Akatsuki."

"I don't really know a lot. Like I told your friends before I've been away for a couple of years." Karan said.

"Then tell us what you do know." Ibiki said.

"Akatsuki from what I remember there were ten members total. We didn't really have a lot to do with them. My brother and I were moved from safehouse to safehouse for years. Madara was the one we saw the most." Karan said.

"Madara?" Ibiki said.

"That's what he goes by." Karan said. "Uchiha Madara."

"How would you describe him?" Inoichi asked.

"In personality… he's an ass." Karan said.

"He means what does he look like?" Ibiki said.

"I don't know. We never saw what he looked like under the mask. Kaien once caught a glimpse at part of his face and all he saw was a scar. We know he has a Sharingan, used it on us more than once." She said.

"What about the other members?" Ibiki said.

"The one we saw the most was Itachi." Karan said. "He helped train us."

"He trained you?" Inoichi asked surprised.

"We were about seven or eight at the time, living in this safehouse, and one day Madara showed up with Itachi, told us he was going to be training us and that was it." Karan said.

"You expect us to believe that Uchiha Itachi trained you as a child?" Ibiki said.

"I know it seems impossible but it's true." Karan said. "My brother and I were eight when we left and for us it was twenty years but here it's only been seven. I'm guessing time runs differently between the two worlds."

"Two worlds?" Inoichi said.

"Yeah it actually has to do with the Akatsuki. So Itachi trained us for about a year before he left to join the Akatsuki. When that happened we were moved into the tower… I don't know exactly where it was but it was in a place called Ame? That's what they called it. I remember it rained constantly." Karan said.

"Amegakure?" Ibiki said.

"That's what we heard them call it. We were there for a while with two other members of the Akatsuki. We saw Konan most. Blue hair she keeps up in a bun and she wears an origami flower in her hair. Uses paper jutsu. The other one we didn't see a lot. They called him Pein. He had orange spikey hair and piercings on his nose but what I remember most were his eyes. They were purple but with a ripple pattern." Karan said.

"Interesting." Inoichi said.

"Kaien and I we used to get bored sometimes and climb in the vents, called it practice for stealth missions. We ended up finding this crystal stone Madara had gotten somewhere. It was pink and about…" Karan said showing them with her hand. "That big, and it had some iron embellishments attached. Kaien took it without me or anyone noticing for no real reason other than because he felt like it and never thinks things through. The next morning Madara wanted to see how our training was progressing and like always he started beating Kaien. I got in the way and slipped up revealing my Sharingan which was exactly what he wanted. Kaien took out the crystal which started glowing. He took my hand and there was a bright light. When we woke up we were in this field in the middle of nowhere with no idea how we got there. Turns out it was another world and we were stuck there."

"But you're here now?" Ibiki said.

"Yeah that wasn't easy to pull off." Karan said. "And in order to understand that I have to tell you everything that happened the twenty years in between."

"Does it have to do with the Akatsuki?" Ibiki asked.

"It explains why my brother joined them." She said.

"It's going to be a long night." Ibiki groaned before signaling her to keep going.

"That world was different to this one and we started to realize that when we met a dragon." Karan said but they didn't say anything. "We saved it from being killed by dragon slayers and it took us to it's home. Their leader told us what had happened and they took us in. It was peaceful for a while but peace doesn't last forever. The dragon slayers kept killing the dragons. The dragons killed the slayers and it kept going like that for years. Until Kaien did something stupid again."

"What did he do?" Ibiki asked.

"Idiot fell in love." Karan said. "With a dragon slayer which of course didn't help things."

"Kaien." Sango said hugging Kaien as he pulled her into his arms and kissed her.

"I missed you." Kaien said.

"Me too." Sango said.

"Really Kaien?" Karan said.

"Karan!" Kaien said.

"A Dragon Slayer?" Karan said.

"Karan your sister?" Sango said.

"Sango you should go." Kaien said.

"Kaien…" She said nervous.

"Just trust me go." Kaien said kissing her and giving her a smile before she ran off.

"You've done a lot of reckless things before but this…" Karan said.

"I love her Karan. I've never met anyone like her." Kaien said.

"She's a dragon slayer. Her family kills our family." She said.

"She's not like that." Kaien said.

"Why? Because she told you so?" Karan said. "You're going to be the death of us all. You can't keep seeing her."

"I'm not going to stop seeing her." Kaien said.

"Kaien there's no way in hell this is going to end well." Karan said. "You've seen what they do, what she does."

"I'm not going to stop seeing my wife!" Kaien said.

"Wife?" Karan asked confused.

"We got married." He said.

"You Idiot." She said.

"Why am I an idiot? Because I found someone I love who loves me back?" Kaien said.

"Your wife kills dragons, her family kills dragons, most of our family are dragons, do you really not see what's wrong with this situation?" Karan said.

"Then the idiots eloped. He said he could change things. That he was proof that peace between us was possible. Everyone was mad and we gave him an ultimatum. Us or them. He chose them but it worked. Both sides agreed to a cease fire. We weren't friends and I doubt that will happen anytime soon. It's hard to forget a thousand years of hate and bloodshed overnight. It's also hard to forget that your brother chose an enemy over family. And his wife Sango was… well I hated her guts and the feeling was mutual but we tolerated each other." Karan said.

"I can…" Sango said as Karan went to wash her dishes.

"Hand off or I break it off." Karan said.

"You are such a bitch." Sango said.

"Takes one to know one." Karan said.

"Everyone had come around, given me a chance why can't you?" She said.

"You're standing here aren't you?" Karan said activating her Sharingan. "I don't trust you. Kaien's impulsive and doesn't think things through. You're only here because of him. You so much as breath a word to anyone about this place or make a wrong move I will burn you alive until there's nothing left of you. Are we clear?"

"H-hai." She choked out.

"Good." Karan said.

Things were well for a few years until a new enemy showed up. One that threatened dragons and Slayers. The Oronans. They were from a neighboring land and they believed that those who could mold chakra and use any jutsu were abominations, impure and tainted. So they purged them, indiscriminately… adults, children, entire families… good or bad all killed. They started expanding their borders, invading neighboring lands killing anyone who stood in their way. We couldn't stand for it so we banded together and we fought. More than ten years and that war is still not over. We lost friends… family… my brother lost his wife, and when we finally thought we gained the upper hand by capturing one of the Oronans generals they took something from us and sealed it into a crystal. We were going to exchange the prisoner for it but before we could someone infiltrated their ranks killed everyone, took the crystal and came to this world."

"They used the crystal to come here?" Inoichi said.

"No. The crystal they took is different. In our world prisoners aren't kept in cells they're sealed into special crystals. Saves supplies from having to feed and cloth them not to mention not having to worry about prison riots and breakouts." Karan said.

"So who was in the crystal?" Ibiki asked.

"My nephew. Kaien's son." Karan said.

"Auntie Kar!" The small boy with dark hair and eyes cheered as he ran into his Aunt's arms.

"AH… are you my nephew you've gotten so big?!" Karan said giving the boy a huge hug before putting her hand on his ear. "Oh wait you got something… it's coming out of your ear… wait.. it's a cookie! What was that doing in there?"

"Cookie!" He cheered.

"It took us weeks to find a stone that could get us back here and a lot of negotiating with some unpleasant lords but we managed. We went looking for Itachi because he was the only one we could think of that might help us but he had his brother and you obviously know how that turned out. Kaien joined Madara because he's impatient and desperate and never thinks anything through. So he's the newest member of Akatsuki, they want all of the tailed beasts to unseal the Jubi and create utopia but at the cost of many lives and that's everything."

"That's quite a story." Ibiki said. "We're going to need to make sure you were telling the truth."

"Do you have a mind reader you trust?" Karan asked and he just looked at her skeptically. "To go through my memories and tell you if what I said was true?"

"That'd be me." Inoichi said stepping forward. "Just hold still."

Inoichi quickly formed a few handsigns before putting his hand on Karan's head and he saw everything. Her earliest memories. Her and Kaien growing up, Itachi training them, madara beating and reprimanding them constantly trying to activate their sharingan, the day they disappeared, how they met the dragon that would become family to them, the twins growing up in a war battle field, Kaien turning his back on his family, Karan growing to accept his wife as a friend and member of their family, having to be there as she died in her arms asking Karan to watch over her brother and her son with her dying breath and how that activated the Mangekyo Sharingan, What she had to do to keep them alive, following her brother to rescue her nephew, seeing Itachi again and everything he had shown them.

Inoichi released Karan with a gasp.

"I-Is that true?" Inoichi asked.

"In my experience people on their death beds don't lie." Karan said.

"Inoichi?" Ibiki asked.

"She's telling the truth… about all of it." Inoichi said.

"Even the dragons?" Ibiki asked.

"All of it." Inoichi said. "I should go inform Lady Tsunade."

"Hai, and I'll go see that our guest's accomodations are ready." Ibiki said.

"I'll just…" Karan started as they walked out of the room and the door closed behind them. "wait here."

She leaned back in her seat closing her eyes feeling the exhaustion from the past few days start to catch up to her. He put a hand on her left arm where the dragon mark was burned onto her skin wondering how her other siblings were fairing.

"Time to go." Ibiki said as he stormed into the room.

Karan stood up and followed after him to where Yamato was waiting for her.

"Is that everything?" Yamato asked.

"For now." Ibiki said he nodded at him before Yamato led Karan out of the building and across the village to an apartment building.

"Tsunade-sama has arranged for you to stay in one of the units here until she decides what will happen to you." Yamato said. "It's not much but…"

"No this is good. I can't remember the last time I slept on an actual bed." Karan said looking at the bed in one corner of the room. There was a couch and coffee table and a small kitchenette with a balcony. "Please thank her for me."

"Of course." Yamato said. "Someone will be by tomorrow to show you around and take you to buy whatever you need."

Karan nodded before he left for the night. She shrugged off her jacket and scarf leaving the hanging on the coat hook near the entrance. She unsealed a change of clothes for the night and showered in the small bathroom before laying down in her bed.

It was a quiet night… almost too quiet. Karan closed her eyes and tried to see if she could sense anyone nearby. She sensed a few civilians in the building but outside there were four chakra signatures. Two on the roof of the building right above the balcony and two across the street. A bit much for a simple surveillance job. Unless…

"Hokage's anbu and root." Karan whispered to herself before moving uncomfortably on the bed. "Yeah that's not working."

Karan grabbed a pillow and a blanket and moved to the floor. She knocked out and managed to get a few hours of sleep. She woke up at sunrise and started cleaning up and getting dressed for the day. Her hair was straighter than before now that is wasn't raining. She did a few light morning work outs and meditated working on fluctuating her chakra until someone knocked on her door.

"Yo." Kakashi said.

"Morning." Karan said quickly slipping on her boots. "Uh… I was going to ask but if we're going shopping today… I kind of don't have a lot of money?"

"Ah don't worry." He said handing her an envelope. "Uchiha clan's trust directly goes to any remaining survivors. Including you."

"Oh… thanks." Karan said. "So I'll buy breakfast."

"You don't have to." Kakashi said.

"No really, I'm pretty sure you have better things to do on your day off than show me around. It's the least I can do." Karan said.

"Thank you. Uh shall we?" He said.

"Lead the way." Karan said.

And that's how the two of them ended up at a tea shop having dango for breakfast.

"This is amazing." Karan said.

"You've never tried Dango before?" Kakashi asked.

"When I was a kid but it's been twenty years since I've had any. Just as good as I remembered." She said.

"Oi! Kakashi! You're the last person I expected to run into here." Asuma said.

"Yo Asuma. Kurenai." Kakashi said.

"Oh you're on a…" Asuma started before he looked at Karan. "Uh…"

"Rin?" Kurenai said.

"Asuma, Kurenai… meet Uchiha Karan." Kakashi said giving them a look to not say anything else.

"Nice to meet you." Karan said with a polite smile

"You too." Asuma said. "We'll let you get back to it."

With that they walked off to sit in a back corner of the shop.

"So you guys been friends a long time?" Karan asked trying to make small talk.

"You could say that." Kakashi said before he noticed the burn on her left arm that circles around her wrist up to her thumb that looked like a dragon.

"I'm finished… if you wanted to go now?" Karan asked.

"Hai." He said getting up after Karan put money down on the table to cover their meal.

They went around and Kakashi passively pointed out a few places she should know even though he was reading as they walked. Though Karan could tell that was just a front to avoid talking to people or having people ask him questions since he hadn't really turned the page the entire time they were walking.

Once Karan walked into the clothing shop while Kakashi waited outside she picked out a few changes of clothes so she could blend in better because apparently leather boots weren't normal footware they headed to do some basic groceries before heading back to her apartment.

"Uh Kakashi just one more thing could you show me where the library is? I need to do some research." Karan said.

"I'm actually heading in that direction now if you want to come." He said.

"Sure." Karan said.

They had to pass through mainstreet to get to the library and as they did…

"Kakashi!" Someone shouted.

"Oh boy." Kakashi muttered

"Friend of yours?" Karan asked.

"Kakashi!" Guy said running towards Kakashi. He was wearing a skin tight green body suit, orange leg warmers and a Konoha Headband on his waist. He had a bowl hair cur and think black eyebrows.

"Guy." Kakashi said.

"I challenge you to a push-up contest." He said.

"Sorry Guy I can't." Kakashi said. "I'm in the middle of showing someone around the village."

"Oh I'm sorry fair maiden…" He said and his eyes went wide. "Rin! How can this be!? Has the spring time of youth faded and have I…"

"She's not Rin." Kakashi said. "This is Uchiha Karan."

"U-Uchiha?" Guy said and Kakashi just gave him a small nod. "Oh I'm sorry fair maiden, I must've confused you with someone else from a past spring time of youth…"

"It's all right." Karan said politely.

"No I must make amends, I shall run a hundred laps around the village on my hands as punishment!" Guy called out.

"No you really don't have to…" Karan said.

"And If I don't finish before sunset I will do a hundred more!" Guy said.

"He's not listening to me is he?" Karan asked Kakashi and he shook his head.

"I will do this!" He said running off on his hands shouting something about the power of youth.

"Is he always like that?" Karan asked as they watched him go.

"Pretty much." Kakashi said before they turned around and walked to the library while he kept reading his book.

"Is the book good?" Karan asked.

"Hm?" Kakashi said. "Yeah."

"What's it about?" Karan asked.

"It's a romance." Kakashi said.

"That sounds nice, May I…" Karan said asking to see it.

"Uh… I don't think it's the type of romance you'll be interested in." Kakashi said.

"I don't think you know me well enough to know what I'd be interested in." She said and Kakashi looked at her deep in thought for a minute before passing her the book. Karan kept her eyes on him as she took the book the opened it to a random page. She looked at it and started reading an incredibly detailed scene but she didn't let any emotion show on her face. "Wow… this author really knows his stuff and the details and imagery are steamy. Brilliant stuff. Let me know when you're done so I can borrow it sometime."

Kakashi stopped moving and froze as Karan kept walking while still reading.

"Kakashi?" Karan said looking up and noticing he wasn't next to her. She looked back and saw him standing with his eye closed and a faint blush. "You okay?"

"Uh yeah…" He said taking back the book and clearing his throat as they got to the library. "This is it."

"It's big." Karan said. "Well thank you for bringing me."

"No problem." Kakashi said brushing it off.

"I guess I'll see you around." Karan said.

"Yeah." Kakashi said watching as Karan headed inside. He turned around and started walking back deep in thought.

Elsewhere in the village…

"Tsunade!" The elders on the council said coming into her office as she was trying to sneak in a sip of sake at the end of a very long day.

"What?!" She snapped.

"When were you going to tell us about this?!" Koharu slamming down the report on her desk.

"I sent you the report." Tsunade said.

"This is unacceptable Tsunade." Homura said.

"The situation is being handled as is fit. The woman has provided with valuable intel that not only confirms what Jiraya has heard in his travels but gives us the name to the Akatsuki's leader, information on where their base is and information on their members." Tsunade said.

"And one of those members was her brother. She was trained by Itachi Uchiha a man who killed his entire clan." Koharu said.

"They were planning a coup, we did what had to be done." Danzo said as he walked into her office.

"Sensei was negotiating peace and you went against him. That's why he put you under house arrest." Tsunade said.

"I did what had to be done to protect Konoha. This girl is a threat." Danzo said. "You can't just let her walk around the village freely."

"You mean she's not in a cell?" Koharu said. "That's unacceptable."

"She's being watched constantly and if you had read the reports when they confronted her and her brother she kept trying to talk him down and actually pulled Sai out of the way of an attack that would have killed him." Tsunade said. "She's not a threat and has no ill will towards Konoha."

"You can't be sure of that." Homaru said.

"It's my decision. She's a member of one of the founding clans of Konoha and thus welcome to stay as long as she wants." Tsunade said.

"And how will you ensure her loyalty?" Danzo said. "How do you know she won't turn against us?"

"Because as much as she hates you, she hates Madara more." Tsunade said. "And I have a plan."

"And what would that be?" Koharu said and Tsunade smirked.

Back with Karan…

Karan spent a few hours reading up on everything she could find on the stones which wasn't much. They had books on all types of stones but not any on stones that could take you to other dimensions. Disappointed she headed home. Down the street from her apartment she ran into an elderly lady who was struggling to carry all of her things.

"Are you alright ma'am?" Karan asked.

"Oh yes dear just trying to get home." She said.

"Would you like some help?" Karan asked.

"If it's not too much trouble." She said.

"Not at all." Karan said taking her bags. "Just lead the way."

"Oh it's not far." She said just down the street. "I hope it isn't too out of your way."

"I was actually going this way too." Karan said.

Kakashi sat on a tree close by watching the interaction. 'That's something Obito would do..' He thought before Yamato appeared next to him.

"Senpai." Yamato said.

"Yo." Kakashi said.

"Tsunade-sama wants to see us." Yamato said.

"Hmm." Kakashi said closing his book and getting up.

"Have you been watching her all day?" Yamato asked.

"The Anbu team got called out on a mission and Tsunade-sama ordered eyes on her constantly." Kakashi said.

"Hmm…" Yamato said.

"Best not to keep her waiting." Kakashi said as Karan and the elderly lady walked into her building.

Once they got into the office they waited outside hearing shouting before the elders walked out of the office. Danzo glancing at them before walking off.

"Yamato! Kakashi!" She shouted.

They walked in.

"Close the door." Tsunade said.

"Tsunade-sama." They said.

"Ibiki and Inoichi interrogated Uchiha Karan and all of the information she has given us back up the intel Jiraya has found so far as such she will be allowed to remain in the village. No everyone is happy with that decision. Especially as some things have recently been uncovered. What I am about to say does not leave this room." Tsunade said.

"Hai." They said.

"Itachi Uchiha did not act alone." Tsunade said. "It appears the unrest in the village following the Kyubi's attack and the continued mistreatment the Uchiha experienced led to them considering planning a coup against the village. The Third Hokage with the help of Uchiha Itachi and Shisui were trying to diffuse the situation but after Shisui's death there was no turning back and Danzo went behind the Third's back and ordered Itachi to kill his entire clan to save Sasuke."

"So Itachi…" Kakashi said.

"Everything he did he did for the good of the village. He infiltrated the Akatsuki and covertly slipped Jiraya intel whenever he could." Tsunade said. "Give the information we've just learned it's now more important than ever to keep a close eye on Uchiha Karan. I don't trust Danzo so I'm going to insist Karan become a leaf shinobi and I'm assigning her to your team."

"Tsunade-sama is that truly wise?" Yamato said.

"You two are among the few shinobi I completely trust. She has proven herself trustworthy and deserves a chance to earn our trust and we know what Danzo is capable of. He will go after her if we give him the chance." Tsunade said. "The rules clearly state the Hokage can appoint anyone they see fit to their personal Anbu guard and reassign them as they see fit. So tomorrow morning, I want you to bring her here and I'll tell her the news. You're dismissed."

"Hai." Yamato and Kakashi said leaving the office.
